Kitsune memories Chapter 19: Scent bug hunt
Shino, the bug user, had suggested that they look for a rare bug called the Scent bug. Apparently, its sense of smell was better then Naruto's Kiba's, Akamaru's, and Sonjay's. They weren't quite at the forest yet, but they were sleeping. Naruto noticed that Hinata was missing. Now, he said he would protect her, so he went out to search for her.
Of course, he managed to catch her scent, and was able to find her near a waterfall, sort of dancing. He could tell, she had no clothes on, much to his delight. He watched her.
'She must be practicing a new move or something. Good. A true ninja never gives up on things important. Speaking of important, I better get to some meditation' Naruto thought. He started to meditate. He figured he would try to expand his range of divination. He consistently had weights on, and that trained his body to be faster. His mind was able to expand his divination range. He was easily able to locate where his comrades were. Kiba and Shino were about 1 Kilometre away, back at the camp they had set up. Well, ne noticed Shino was starting to come closer. 1.5 KM was his max for now, and he figured a 2 KM was great.
Naruto got out of his meditation, with the kamikugan still active. He purposely tripped himself, just to get a rise out of Hinata. What Hinata did, was hide as fast as she could.
Next day, they were in the forest that the scent bug was hidden in. They only had a small amount of time left to do so. They searched everywhere.
Hinata looked around, using Byakugan. Naruto meditated, to search within the divination field. It was a great exercise for Naruto's mind. But then, he sensed three others in the forest.
By that time, Hinata managed to find the bug, and they caught it. They had to await for it's newborn to come.
"Guys. There are three others with us. I'm sure also looking for the Scent bug" Naruto said. they were on guard. They split up. Hinata was captured.
Naruto sensed this, and got really mad. To a point where his sword couldn't suppress his rage. He hunted for the three. He found that Kiba and Shino were also captured.
When he got to them, Hinata was gone. Apparently, she was sent over the waterfall. That only enraged Naruo even more, killing off one of their own.
But it turned out that Hinata was fine. The Stone Village ninja's sent out some of their bee's, and Hinata did this Absolute defence, where she emitted thin lines of Chakra, while spinning. It was similar to the divination field, except it wasn't quite it. She killed off all the bugs, and Shino and Kiba got free. Naruto as still pissed off. The Scent bug hatched. It took in Naruto's sweaty scent, thus making the mission failed. But that didn't stop Naruto from killing the other ninja's He then noticed the bug on him.
"Ah Fudge" He said, calming down. He noticed he was clearly more powerful.
Back in Konoha, a few days later, Naruto was hiding from a very angry Sakura, at the same time, explaining things to Hiashi.
"Oh Hinata did quite well. She helped me save our comrades. But the scent bug hatched prematurely, and noticed only my scent. I was so...ashamed" Naruto said. He knew he was safe in the Hyuuga manor. Hiashi punched him across the face. Naruto chuckled at that.
"I deserved that. But regardless. I would like to know some of the Hyuuga moves. I have studied Neji and Hinata, but I'm sure that you could teach me better" Naruto said. Hiashi smirked.
"Naruto. As long as you can keep your mouth shut, and always be loyal to this family, then I will" Hiashi said. Naruto nodded.
"I won't tell anyone, nor will I abandon this family. I have to much respect for it now" Naruto said. That was the answer Hiashi was looking for.
