I don't own commander in chief
Rebecca, Horace and Amy left for school. Rebecca was in a bad mood, she wanted the day off to, but her Mom as usual let Elizabeth get whatever she wanted. She wanted to know what happened last night, but when she asked Mac she basically told Rebecca to leave it. In a way she was jealous she really wanted some attention from her Mom, even though they argued a lot Rebecca really did miss Mac and now that her cousins were around she felt she missed her more. Amy left the car for school and Rebecca and Horace started to talk
Horace: Do you think Elizabeth is OK
Rebecca: She just wants attention I bet
Horace: I don't think so Becca
Rebecca: If one of us missed dinner we would get grounded, she is so their favourite
Horace: I think there was something really wrong last night, I mean Mom and Dad let her miss school and she was a acting odd yesterday
Rebecca: Exactly she is their favourite
Horace: Becca, I thought you were meant to be her friend, don't you care about her
Rebecca: Of course I care, I just wish she wasn't around all the time, and she is so miserable all the time
Horace: I don't believe you sometimes.
The 2 teenagers left for school, they had a day of study hall as tomorrow they would be sitting their PSAT's.
At Lunch the early edition of the Evening Post had been published and the story of the Drinking in Scotland had got out. Horace was not really bothered by this, but Rebecca saw it as an invasion of her privacy and it annoyed her.
Horace: Have you seen the paper Becca
Rebecca: Yes I don't believe it, it is all Elizabeths fault, I wish she never came here.
Horace: Stop being so dramitic, it is not that big a deal
Rebecca: It is a big deal, this could be the next 10 years of our life if Mom wins the election
Horace: It won't be that bad once we get to college
Rebecca: Yeah I can't wait
They finally left school for the day and went home. Rebecca went to her room and started her homework. Horace went to visit Elizabeth.
Horace: Are you Ok
Elizabeth: Yeah fine
Horace: You are not fine, I can see you have been crying
Horace sat on the bed next to his younger sister. And Elizabeth started to cry again.
Elizabeth: Did Mom tell you what Emily has done
Horace: Dad told me, I can't believe she was such a bitch
Elizabeth: I thought she cared about me, No one cares about me in the end everyone leaves me
Horace: You know that isn't true, I promise I won't leave you
Elizabeth: Thanks Horace, but I always end up hurting people, it is always my fault, you would be best off if you just left me
Horace: I don't want to do that. Besides me and Becca are learning all about the British monarchy in History and I have a feeling that you could help me, for once I might do better in a class than Becca
Horace laughed and looked at Elizabeth she had a small smile on her face
Horace: Hay that wasn't a joke, I don't know which King was which they all have the same names
Elizabeth: I am just a little upset, I always wanted older siblings and I got one in Emily and now she betrayed me
Horace: Well I would hope that you would think of me as an older brother
Elizabeth: Really
Horace: Yes, why what did you think I thought of you
Elizabeth: An annoying little cousin who steals your parents
Horace: Nah, maybe an annoying little sister though,
The 2 siblings hugged and Elizabeth felt happy, she always had the feeling that Horace never really liked her, she thought he was maybe jealous of the fact that she and Becca got on, but recently she felt closer to Horace than Becca.
Horace: Lets go dinner will be ready
In the dining room Mac was of course late as usual,
Catlin: When is Mommy coming
Rod: Soon hopefully
Rebecca: So how come you never went to school today
Elizabeth: I wasn't feeling well
Rebecca: You look fine now
Elizabeth: Yeah I feel better thanks
Mac came in
Mac: Sorry I am late
Rebecca: Again, I don't think you can ever be on time
Mac: Excuse me, You would do well to remember who you are talking to Missy
Rebecca: I am not hungry, can I be excused
Rod: No we are going to eat dinner as a family
Rebecca: That is so unfair Elizabeth missed dinner yesterday
Mac: Rebecca sit down and eat with us please
Rebecca stood up
Rebecca: I have a big test to study for I am going to my room
Mac: Rebecca come back here
Catlin: Mommy I don't want my dinner either
Mac looked at Catlin in raised an eyebrow
Catlin: I don't want it can I go play pleeease
Mac: all right, but if you don't eat dinner then you will get nothing else until the morning and you will be put to bed right now
Catlin: But I want to play with the dolls house
Rod: Then eat your dinner
Catlin started to do as she was told and ate most of her dinner.
Mac: So Amy how was your day
Amy: Fine Mommy
Mac: So have you thought about what present you would like for your birthday
Amy: Can I please get a Pony
Mac: No Amy you can't get a pony
Amy: OK can I please get a pet tarantula
Mac: No Amy
Amy: Please I will take good care of it and I won't let it roam about the house
Amy knew that her mother had one fear and that was spiders, if she begged her for a pet spider then maybe they will think a Pony is not so bad.
Rod: Amy what would you like for your birthday which is not living
Amy: Roller Skates
Mac looked at Rod, Roller Skates they could manage, maybe even a Pony, but one thing which she definitely would not be allowed is a Tarantula.
After dinner Mac went back to her office. Rod put the 2 youngest girls to bed with Elizabeth's help and Rebecca went to study. Horace thought about Elizabeth and deep down he knew something was hurting her. He decided to talk to his Mom about it.
He walked through the west wing to his mothers office
Horace: Hi Mom are you busy
Mac: What's up baby
Horace: Is Elizabeth OK, I just get the feeling that something is up with her
Mac: She has been a little upset recently
Horace: Why Mom
Mac: I can't tell you, and I don't want you to ask her, if she is ready to tell you she will, just try and be there for her
Horace: OK Mom,
Mac: Good night sweetie
Horace went upstairs to do some last minute revision for his test tomorrow, he hoped to do well.
