The next morning Amy woke up at 5am she was really excited and she ran into her mother and father's bedroom.Mac was already awake and Rod was asleep on there bed.
Amy: MOMMY IT IS MY BIRTHDAY
Mac: Shh Amy, Daddy is still asleep
Amy: Can I get my presents now
Mac: After Breakfast honey, are you looking forward to your party
Amy: Yes Mommy, I cant wait, can I please open my presents
Mac: No Amy you can open them after Breakfast when everyone is up
Amy: I am going to watch cartoons
Amy stomped out of the bedroom to the family room.
Eventually all of the family had woken up and were seated at the Breakfast table, everyone gave Amy their presents. Horace, Rebecca and Elizabeth had got her a new dolls house and some clothes, they got her a T shirt which said on the front if Mommy says no then ask Daddy. Mac and Rod took her out of the room into the Oval office where Rod had set up Amy's bike, it was pink with streamers coming out of the handle bars.
Amy: I love my new Bike thank you Mommy, Thank you Daddy
Mac: You are welcome baby, we got these for you as well, remember you have to wear them when you go out
Mac handed her daughter a helmet and knee and sholder pads
Catlin: Can I have a bike too,
Mac: You already have one Catlin, Amy is getting to big for her old one
Catlin: But I want a new one
Amy: You can have my old one when you are a bit bigger
Rod: All right kids time for school
Elizabeth: Can I stay off today too
Mac: Are you sure you don't want to go back, the longer you leave it the more difficult it will be
Elizabeth: Can I at least stay off until Monday
Rod: OK honey, but you have to go back on Monday
Elizabeth: Thanks
Rod left with Horace, Rebecca and Amy, while Elizabeth took Amy upstairs.
Amy and Catlin's Nanny was sick, so Elizabeth promised to look after her youngest sister so Rod could plan Amy's party and do some work. Mac and Rod were due to go on a fund-raising trip to the West coast on Saturday and come back on Sunday morning.
Elizabeth and Catlin went to the movie theater and watched the BFG
Catlin: Is the BFG even bigger than Daddy
Elizabeth: Yeah he is the height of Mommy and Daddy together
Catlin: Really, he is really big
The 2 girls spent the day watching many other Movies, Catlin had a great time she loved to spend time with her older sister.
Rod went down to Mac's office
Mac: What's wrong hon
Rod: Jo is sick, we have no nanny for tomorrow night
Mac: Can't you get another one
Rod: There is no one else who has been vetted by the service,
Mac: What are we worrying about we have 3 teenagers, when I was there age I babysat my sister
Rod: Do you really think that they are responsible enough to be left overnight
Mac: I hope so, they would make sure nothing happens to the Kids,
Rod: OK, we can tell them later, the bouncy castle for the party is up and the face painters are here.
Rod went to meet the 2 girls for lunch.
Catlin: Daddy can I play on the bouncy castle before anyone gets here
Rod: Sure Sweetie we can go get your face painted first
Rod looked at Elizabeth he could tell she was still hurting and he just wanted to make it stop.
Rod: You OK honey
Elizabeth: Yes I am fine now, I just don't want to talk about it
Rod: OK Sweetie
Catlin: Can you come on the bouncy Castle with me
Elizabeth: No Catlin I have a broken leg
Catlin: When will it be fixed
Elizabeth: In a couple of weeks
Catlin, Rod and Elizabeth went down to the garden and went to the face painter.
Face Painter: Hi do you want your face painted
Catlin: Yes please, can I be a tiger
face painter: Of course you can.
A few minuites later Catlin had her face painted like a tiger
Catlin: I want to show Mommy, can I
Rod had to go and do some work so Elizabeth and Catlin went to the Oval office to see Mac.
Mackenzie was in the Oval office and had a meeting with the speaker of the house.
Mac: Nathan Thank you for coming
Nathan: Of course Madam President,
Mac: I take it you have heard what happened to my daughter
Nathan: Yes Ma'am that was a terrible shock,
Mac: Yes it was for all of the family, and you also know that a member of your staff was arrested for bugging my house
Nathan: Yes that was also a big shock
Mac: And I would assume that you had nothing to do with it
Nathan: What are you insinuating
Mac: Nathan my daughter is in a lot of pain as you can imagine and I just want to know what happened so if you know anything about this Colin then please tell me
Nathan: Sorry Ma'am I don't, but if I do hear anything then I will let you know
Just then Catlin and Elizabeth came in.
Catlin: Rrrrrrrrrrrr I am a tiger
Mac: Catlin Mommy is in a meeting
Elizabeth: Sorry she ran in ahead of me, I couldn't catch up
Nathan: Well then what might you be
Catlin: I am a tiger, were you scared
Nathan: O very scared
Mac: All right then you little rascal why don't you get upstairs and put your party dress on
Elizabeth: Come on let's go, goodbye Mr Speaker
Nathan: Nice to see you both
The 2 girls left and went to the residence and Elizabeth put Catlin's Gold party dress on her. They went back to the garden and Catlin went on the bouncy castle.
Amy was very excited, everyone at school sang happy birthday to her and she had a birthday cake. When school was over she went home and put her party dress on and at 4.30 all her friends were coming over. Amy went to the garden and joined Catlin on the bouncy castle.
Soon her friends all arrived and they all had a great time. Mac could hear the kids from the Oval office and desperatly wanted to go out and join them, but she had meeting after meeting , there was a problem with a terrorist who had gotten into the coutry, but thankfully they had caught him and the rest of the cell. She was in the Oval with Jim, Kelly, Carl and Anthony.
Mac: Great work everyone, what have I got now
Kelly: Meeting with Congressman McPhail
Mac: Then what
Jim: Nothing you wanted to finish early today
Mac: Great, why don't you all go down to the party, I am going to bring out the cake after my meeting and I am sure that Amy would love to see you all.
Mac finished her meeting and went down to the party, all the kids were playing musical bumps, Catlin was out already, and was having a tantrum which Rebecca was trying to stop.
Mac: What is going on here
Catlin: I wanted to play with Amy's new bike and she wouldn't share
Mac: It is too big for you to play with, now I want you to be a good girl
Catlin stamped her foot on the ground, folded her arms across her chest and stuck her bottom lip out
Mac bent down to Catlin's height
Mac: Do I have to take you upstairs to your room
Catlin shook her head
Mac: Then I want you to be a good girl, it is Amy's birthday, when it is your birthday then you can get presents too
Catlin: OK Mommy
Mac brought out a birthday cake that was the shape of a pony and took it over to Amy while everyone sang happy birthday, she blew out the candles and everyone got a bit of cake.
Mac and Rod had got Amy another present, they had got her riding lessons, if she kept going in a years time and still wanted a Pony then they thought she could get one. Amy loved the present and after the party the whole family watched a film together.
