I don't own Commander in Chief

Elizabeth was in the hospital room, she felt very lonley, the only people who came in were Doctors, and her Aunt and Uncle were only allowed in for 2 hours a day, She had her ipod on, but the battery had died now, she started to read a book, but she had read them all before, so she just lay on the bed, she started to cry again, she wanted to stop so she could get home the next day and she knew that the doctors were always watching her. She closed her eyes and felt someone stroke her hair, she opened her eyes and saw her Grandma standing before her, she could not believe her eyes, she closed her eyes and opened them again, but she was still standing by her bed

Elizabeth: Grandma is that really you

Kate: Yes honey, i just wanted to tell you that I love you

Elizabeth: I love you too, I am really sorry about what I did

Kate: It's OK baby, just promise me you won't do it again

Elizabeth: I won't, Grandma is Mom with you

Kate: Yes honey, she loves you a lot, she is with your Dad and Granddad now we are all together

Elizabeth: Good, I miss you all

Kate: I need to go now honey, but I love you lots baby

Elizabeth: Do you have to go, Grandma please stay

Kate disappeared and Elizabeth woke up, she had been dreaming it, she honestly thought she was awake, she looked at the clock and could see that it was only 8pm, she went back to sleep.

Mac went to her room with Rod and found the letters addressed to her and Rod, she opened it and they both started to read,

Dear Aunt Mac and Uncle Rod, I want to say thank you for looking after me, I love you both more than you will ever know. I just want to say goodbye to you and I hope that you both still look after Catlin she really needs you both. I have to do this, I need to see Grandma and my Mum, I want to be with them both and I always hurt everyone anyway, so you will all be better off without me anyway. Please don't be sad for me, this is what I want, when I am dead all the pain will finally be gone and I won't be a burden on you any more because for the past year that is all I have been and I want the rest of you to be happy which you will be without me

Goodbye Elizabeth

Mac: Rod I can't believe she would ever think that we would be better without her

Rod: I know honey, we just need to make sure that she know's we love her from now on and we need to tell her all the time

Mac: I know, she just feels so sad and I can't really do anything to help her

Rod: Honey you have helped her, if we were not here she and Catlin would be split up, things will be OK honey, I think she scared herself

Mac and Rod spent the rest of the night in their room and got up in the morning to go to the hospital they really hoped that they could bring Elizabeth home today.

They got to the hospital and met with Dr Cotton before going to see Elizabeth's room

Dr Cotton: Madam President, Mr Calloway, Elizabeth never had the best night

Mac: Why what happened

Dr Cotton: She seemed to have a bad dream, she spent a lot of the night crying, she tried to get back to sleep but was awake for most of the night

Mac: Can she still come home

Dr Cotton: I am happy that she is not a threat to herself or anyone else, but this is not the end of the road, she still needs a lot of counselling

Mac: We understand that, we just want to take her home

Mac and Rod went into her room

Mac: Hay baby, how are you feeling

Elizabeth: OK, I couldn't sleep last night,

Mac: Well why don't we pack your things up, you can sleep in your own bed when we get home

Elizabeth jumped from the bed

Elizabeth: Can I really come home

Rod: Yeah honey

Mac packed Elizabeth's things while they talked

Elizabeth: Did you read my letter

Mac: yes honey, and we want you to know that we would never be better without you, we all love you a lot

Elizabeth: Thanks I love you too

They got her stuff packed and left the hospital for the Whitehouse, Elizabeth had put the jewellery that Catlin had made her on, so that she thought she really loved it. They finally got to the Whitehouse and made their way to the residence. Catlin, Amy, Horace and Elizabeth put some banners up for her to welcome her home. The 2 youngest kids came running down to her.

Catlin: Elizabeth I missed you, are you still sad

Elizabeth: No honey not any more

Catlin: I had a joke for you to cheer you up can I tell you

Elizabeth: yes

Catlin: How do you make a hankie dance

Elizabeth: I don't know

Amy: You put a little boogie into it

Catlin: Hay that was my joke

Amy: Well you are a stupid little baby

Rod: Amy that is enough

Amy: But I wanted to tell Elizabeth the joke, I told Catlin it and she stole it

Catlin: I never did

Amy: did too

Catlin: did not

Mac: Enough, time out both of you

Rod took the younger girls away

Mac: They were both so excited to see you

Elizabeth: Can I go to bed please

Mac: Of course baby

Elizabeth went up to her room, she was so glad to be back at her own bed, she climbed in and Mac tucked her in.

Mac: You have a good sleep honey and we will have lasagne and garlic bread for dinner, your favourite

Elizabeth: Thank you.

Mac left her room and made sure she left the door open a little so they could hear her, she stood outside the door until she fell asleep. Elizabeth knew that she was their but was happy, it made her feel happy to know she was there.
