May's POV
I was very deep in the woods. I was looking at them brightest moon I had ever seen. So bright, so…beautiful. I was lying on the ground, just staring at the moon. I wished Ash could've been there. It would've been quite romantic. Quietly, Ash lied down next to me, and we were about 1 and ½ feet apart. I was very surprised to see him. I said, "It sure is romantic, with that huge moon, huh?" "Yeah…" he said, just staring at the moon also, and not knowing what I was really hinting at. I inched a bit closer, hoping he would realize what I was thinking. "You know what? I'm coming to Kanto to greet you when you get back!" I said to the boy. "You wouldn't do that, you're in Hoenn!" (I suppose we don't make much sense in dreams) he replied. I scooted closer again, wondering if he even noticed. "Why not? I miss you…" I asked. "I don't know, but I don't think you would. But I would love it if you did," he replied. Did he just say, "Love?" I scooted closer, our bodies were touching now. I still think he didn't notice! "Why wouldn't I? I need to tell you that I love you, Ash." My face was burning, after saying that. "You do? That's a relief! I wanted to tell you I love you too!" he said to me.
"Come on May, wake up." An unknown voice commanded. "You've been sleeping in late the past few nights…and you missed breakfast, again. Don't tell me you don't want lunch!
I tried to ease my eyes open. Yes, I had been sleeping in lately, every night for the past week. I also had that same dream every night too. I was beginning to wonder if it meant something.
"I'm coming, Max. Just hold on for a second." I said, getting up. As soon as he realized this, he was already out the door.
I was still in my day outfit, so I guess I crashed without changing into my night clothes. I decided I would change later.
Walking through the hallway, and into the kitchen, my parents greeted me.
"Good morning, May!" my mother greeted me. "or maybe, Good Afternoon!"
"Yes…Good Afternoon, May." My father spoke. "You seem to have been getting up rather late recently. Any reasons? Contests? Problems? Pokemon? BOYS?!" my face was quite red at that time I was sure he was right on the edge of my privacy.
"Dad!" I yelled, thinking of an answer.
"Oh, Norman. May's just about that age…you know, all teenagers sleep in. I'm sure Max will when he's that age." My mother defended.
"Actually…" I began, my voice lowering to a whisper. "I have been having this one dream, over and over every night."
"May, you know you can tell us anything!" my father assured me.
"In my dream, I meet Ash and tell him that I was coming to Kanto to see him." I told him, telling only one half of the dream.
"Well, that's funny. We are going to Kanto!" mother said, beaming.
"Really? When? Why? And when were you going to tell me?" I spurted out, many questions dying to be answered.
"Yes, we are. We were planning on announcing it over lunch. We knew you'd be happy! We're going tomorrow, to be part of Ash's "Welcome Home" party!" Mother explained, still beaming.
Hm…I suppose this be the best time, and probably the only chance I'll get to talk to him…about these feelings I have hid from him since we met.
