Chapter: 1, Elizabeth leaves
Elizabeth awoke early. The maids would be bringing her breakfast in one hour. She threw the thin covers off of her and dressed quickly in a shirt a pair of men's breeches she had stolen from one of the servants. Walking in front of the mirror, Elizabeth took out the knife she had hidden in a box on her dresser. Taking her long braid, Elizabeth sliced the knife across her hair. Ripping a string off of her white shirt, Elizabeth tied her shoulder length hair up in a ponytail and looked at her self in the mirror. Then she grabbed the brown vest off of her bed and put it on. She didn't look exactly as manly as she'd like to look but it would do. After all, she was a woman.
During the next fifteen minuets, Elizabeth Turner packed everything she would need into a sheet which she bundled up and tied to carry on her back. Then she left.
Elizabeth didn't know how long she was walking but finally she got to the shipyard. There was a simple rowboat. One rowboat, but when no one was looking Elizabeth took it. I must be crazy, Elizabeth thought, Crazy or desperate. It was probably both. Elizabeth had a feeling this was a bad idea and that she was going to die on this boat but then, it was the only way.
Days later Elizabeth was positive this was a bad idea. She was hungry, thirsty and tired and the waves were getting rough. Within a few minuets it started to pour and Elizabeth was drenched in seconds. Placing the oars in the boat Elizabeth put her head in her hands and began to sob. Why was this happening? Why was Elizabeth's once perfect life ruined? And it all started when she had met Jack Sparrow. She had had wonderful plans for herself before she met him. She would marry Will and they would live in a beautiful mansion by the beach. Then they would have many smiling children and Elizabeth and Will would live together, wonderfully in love until they got old and died. Her plan wasn't working out. Will was away at sea, forced to captain the Dutchman for ten years, but only if Elizabeth stayed faithful to him and Elizabeth was going mad with heartbreak. When the rain finally stopped, Elizabeth had cried herself to sleep.
When Elizabeth awoke it was mid day and the seas were calm and a soft breeze was blowing. Elizabeth looked around her. There was a ship, far off in the distance. Desperate to reach it, she grabbed up the oars and began rowing, as quickly as her arms would allow. As she got closer Elizabeth once again looked at the ship. It was much closer and Elizabeth was able to make out something important.
It wasn't a regular ship. It was a ship with black sails.
Here is the second chapter. Review.
