The Proof of Existence; a room to show the status of the thirteen members. Xemnas said that it was proof they were alive, but Xigbar thought differently about it.
It was no room of life; it was a graveyard.
The second-in-command stood over the recently-built tombstone of a certain former member. He knew that a few people were absolutely glad that he was gone, but the Gravity master wasn't. If he had his heart back, it would weep tears of anger and sorrow. Anger because the dead person infront of him betrayed the Organization, and sorrow because he couldn't wrap his arms around him anymore.
He couldn't kiss Zexion anymore.
Freeshooter called out a gun from the darkness. Raising it to the dead boy's grave, the gem-like bullet started to glow a neon sea-green color. A click sound was heard.
He just blasted Zexion's grave into pieces, destroying the whole tombstone that lead to the manipulator's favorite training ground.
Xigbar gritted his teeth as his gun disappeared form his hand, falling on a knee. He punched the ground with a hard fist.
"Bastard." mumbled the eyepatched Nobody, a tear running down his left cheek.
It was as if it were just yesterday.
---
"Will ya?"
Zexion turned around to face the elder Nobody. Crossing his arms, the Cloaked Schemer shook his head solemnly.
"Why?" asked Number VI.
Xigbar scratched the back of his head, looking upward to the ceiling, "Because I asked?" answered Freeshooter, giving a sheepish grin.
Zexion shook his head once again. This was just like Xigbar to be so blunt. He expected it.
"Please?" asked Xigbar a second time, expanding his arms to the side as he gave a small bow, his face still looking towards Zexion. Xigbar badly wanted it just once.
For a moment, there was silence inbetween the two Nobodies. It suddenly broke as Xigbar's sharp ears heard the dark chuckles coming from Zexion.
"Huh?" Xigbar raised a brow as he walked forward towards Zexion, looking down to him, "What's so funny?" asked the Nobody. Zexion, laugh? He hasn't heard that for a long, long time; back when they were still known as Briag and Ienzo.
Zexion smirked as he grabbed Xigbar by the collar roughly.
"You." said the young man as he suddenly pulled Xigbar closer to him, locking his lips with his.
The Freeshooter was frozen for a moment. Xigbar thought that he would be the one to go the first step, and not Zexion. It was somewhat embarrassing for the gunman's part, but he definitely didn't care later on. He closed his good eye, holding Zexion's face with one hand, returning the surprise kiss.
It was a minute later they broke from the romantic contact. Xigbar just leaned his forehead on the young man's, wrapping an arm around his waist and another around his neck.
"Is that a yes?" asked the gunsman in a hushed tone.
"Correct," said Zexion, with the smallest of smiles, "I'll see you in my room later."
---
Xigbar shook his head, wiping the tear away with a free hand, remembering the moment he asked Zexion to stay with him that night.
It never pushed through.
Number II stood up on both feet, wiping the dust off his coat. He gave the grave another glare.
"I'll see you in the afterlife, Ienzo." said the Nobody quietly before he turned around, leaving the room alone.
His heart was truly gone.
