THE PIRAKA: AVAK
Avak was sitting on a rock; eyes closed, lotus position, and began remembering his days when he was a Dark Hunter. He remembered telling jokes with Nidhiki, and he also remembered Lariska. Lariska. He hadn't thought of her in a long time. Mata Nui how he missed her! He always blushed when their eyes met, and Avak was painfully shy. He actually liked her, but it was when The Shadowed One that he had to leave branded him a traitor. He vowed not to tell her about his problem. She probably found out by now. Avak started crying on the inside when he imagined Lariska ready to put the final blow on Avak, about his traitorism. Suddenly, a voice rang out in his thoughts. Avak opened his eyes, and got out of the position. He saw Vezok staring at him. "What's your problem?" asked Vezok. "I miss my Dark Hunter days." Said Avak, looking down. "Lemme guess… Lariska?" asked Vezok. Avak blushed, and looked down, starting to tear up. "Hey. What the heck is 'Triggah crying about?" asked Reidak, appearing from nowhere. "It's nothing." Said Avak, pushing his way past Vezok and Reidak. It's worse that I thought… thought Vezok…Avak was waiting by the door of the stronghold, when he finally knocked it down with a loud BANG!!! He looked around, but saw nothing. He walked a little bit more, and that's when something jumped on him, and the thing flipped him around, and pressed a familiar dagger against his throat. He looked up to also see a familiar face. "Lariska?" Avak wheezed, trying to get some air. "I know about you. You're a traitor." Said Lariska, pressing the dagger more against Avak's throat. "I didn't get any pay from the Dark Hunters. That's why I left… He stopped paying us, the Piraka. We had to leave, or else we would lose our bodies, but not like Zaktan… I mean permanently. Please! Please listen! I… I…" Avak tried to choke out the last couple words. Lariska dropped him, and she said, "I'm listening." "Listen, I probably know that you don't like me, but the thing is, I… I…" Avak muttered the last couple words quietly. "What?" Lariska asked. "I LIKE YOU, OKAY? DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY I WAS ALWAYS TURNING RED WHENEVER WE LOOKED INTO EACH OTHER'S EYES!? IT'S BECAUSE I HAVE A CRUSH ON YOU, OKAY!?!?" Avak screamed, covering his face. Lariska could hear a couple sobs from him. Lariska stooped down, and put a hand on Avak's shoulder. "You know, I always had a crush on you too, but I never wanted to admit it. Look, it's been gnawing at my insides for years, but… I love you." Lariska said. Avak looked up, and smiled. His first real smile in many years. They finally kissed, not knowing the five other pairs of eyes watching them. Vezok took a picture. "I gotta show this to the other Matoran. Either that, or we blackmail Avak. Who votes for blackmail?" The other Piraka voted blackmail. "Sweet." Vezok said, pumping a fist into the air, as if he won something. Ooh, this was definitely going to be sweet, alright.
FIN.
