They would plow themselves as deep as they could into the eyes of humans before being crushed, all the while maintaining the belief that they were helping to further the success of the mosquitos in the second wave who could land safely and attack as the humans were scraping the hero carcasses from their eyes.
Tactics were practiced and developed and were adjusted according to the technological advances of the humans. Many a bug was fooled with the introduction of the bug zapper.
