Roy didn't know what to say. His lover, his angel, was sitting by a large window, Edward curled up on his lap, a picture in his trembling hands. It was carefully tilted away, so that the tears wouldn't smudge it.
It was a picture of the two Elrics when they were still children. Edward, the human Edward, had just blown out all of the candles on his cake; Alphonse was giving him a light peck on the cheek, and both were blushing.
"That was the last time I ever kissed him... I'm sorry, Brother. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me..."
