Roy was running out of sentimental metaphors. He had received his fair share of flowers in the past, of course, and had certainly doled out many of them... but they were always red. Red as sin, or as blood. He wound up discarding them as soon as their purpose was completed.
Then again, he mused, I've never received a flower from someone like Alphonse Elric before.
He would definitely be keeping this one.
