-1"Soubi, Soubi wake up." my voice sang out to the body lying next to me. He slowly turned over and looked at me.

"It isn't morning go back to sleep." I had to laugh at that. Normally Soubi was a morning person. Normally he would be up before me but today, today he was enjoying basking in the sunlight that came streaming through his curtains.

"It is morning and it's time to get up." I whispered and he slowly rolled over to face me. "and if you don't get up I'll be forced to get up, get dressed, and leave."

"One" whispered Soubi, never missing a beat, "It is not morning. Two I am not getting up." I started trying to get up when his arms ensnared my waist and pulled me into him. " Three" he carried on as he settled back down to sleep, "You are not getting up. And Four you sure as hell aren't putting clothes on."

I laughed at him as I tried in vain to escape his vice like grip. I sighed and cuddled up to the heat emanating from him. Looks like he was right. I wasn't going anywhere.

Midday came and went and I was still lying in his arms. The silk covered quilt had slipped down us both resting across our midriffs. One of his arms was draped across my waist the other was entwined in my hair. " I love you." I whispered. I gently lifted his arm ,making no move to leave, and turned to face him. "Ever since that day in the school. Ever since we fought Seimei. I knew we were meant to be together." Soubi's eyes slowly opened, his brown eyes connected to mine. He pulled me closer breathing in my scent. As clichéd as it sounds, a warm felling spread throughout my body. I pulled back slightly to once again look into his eyes. "Do you love me?" I whispered.

"With my heart and soul. I loved you from the moment You was born. My name may have belonged to Seimei, but my love and my loyalty always belonged to you."

His grip tighter on my hair as I leaned closer. My lips brushed his as my arms snaked around his neck. "I'm ready Soubi." I murmured into his lips. "I Want you to make love to me." this was the single most daring thing I've ever done in my life. But I knew that I was his and he was mine.

"On one condition." he said as his hands trailed down my back. "I want you to promise me something."

I looked at him again. "anything." I purred as his hand tickled behind my ears.

"promise me, we live together and die together. Promise me you'll never leave me. I go you go. The thought of not having you by my side, even for a second, kills me."

It wasn't a hard promise to make, I would do anything for Soubi including die for him. "I promise." I whispered.

That day I lost my ears and tail but I gained something so much more valuable. I gained completion.

I should have known that that promise would be impossible to keep. I should have known better. I should have known that it was that promise that killed Soubi. Not the bullet. His blood sprayed over that tiny room. His blood was on my hands. I was the one that killed him.
