A/N: Yeah, I'm reposting this. 'Cause it would make sense to me if I just combined the chapters and called it a prologue.

Disc.: All rights to JK Rowling. Bless her.

"It's a girl!" Lupin shouted hoarsely, his voice choking up. Tonks laid in the maternity ward in Saint Mungo's hospital, her (currently) raven black hair tangled, and her pale, heart shaped face damp with sweat.

Tonks breathed a sigh of relief. It was over. All the months of crazy hormonal mood swings, spontaneous food cravings, and morning sickness were over. And here she was, her first-born child in her arms. She turned to look at Lupin.

"What should we call her?" That's an excellent question, what should we call her?

He stared dumbfounded, and said, "I don't know."

"Hm..." Tonks pondered all the possible names. Well for one thing, she wasn't going to be named Nymphadora. Tonks shuddered at the mere sound of her birth name. Her name should have meaning, it should reflect on who she is.. Tonks spoke, breaking the pregnant silence. "I'd name her Errol, but that's Weasley's owl. Hm..."

"What about Ann?" Lupin suggested. Tonks looked horrified.

"Why on earth would she be named ANN?"

"I don't know, just tossing ideas around."

After more random, normal suggestions of names (by Lupin's part), Tonks came to it.

"I've got it! Why not Redell? It means 'wolf counsel', and its a boys and girls' name..?"

Lupin thought about it, and smiled. "Redell Lupin. I like that."

Coincidentally, a Saint Mungo's nurse came into the hospital room. She asked, "Do you have a name for your child?"

Lupin nodded. "Redell Lupin."

"Very nice." The nurse smiled, and said, "Oh dear. Madam..?"

"Yes?" Tonks was looking out the window, she couldn't wait to bring Redell home...

"Your... child..." The nurse sounded horrified, how dare she?! Tonks looked down at Redell.

What she saw almost made her faint. Redell had been a human child a moment ago. But now, Redell was a wolf pup.

xx

Some hours later after Redell's transformation, a Healer named Amoret Ashton explained to the proud but confused parents, that Redell was in perfect health.

"You see, Nymphadora here-"

"Tonks. Call me Tonks." Tonks interrupted.

"Sorry, Tonks here, is a metamorphmagus, and Remus is a ... a werewolf. Your genes intermixed, and I suppose, that Redell is a born animagus."

Lupin looked incredibly relieved. Tonks, on the other hand, seemed delighted. "I knew it. I knew that she'd be a bright little blighter." She said happily, staring down at the sleeping (human) form of her –their- Redell.

"I'm just glad that she hasn't inherited my .. furry little problem." Lupin said with a weak smiled.

"Oy, get- get some sleep Moony." Tonks yawned, and fell asleep after a few minutes of silence.

Lupin took Redell gently from her mother's arms, and walked towards the ward's windows. A half moon lit up the sky, and reminded Lupin of what his daughter might have to witness. He hoped that she never would have to.

Endnote: Okay, I feel bad that the reviews from the (first) second chapter (lol) are going to be deleted, but… argh! I'm OCD-tastic. And I hope I didn't just offend anyone right there. No, Teddy is not going to make an appearance. The other second generation children will though. Next… er, three or so chapters will be oneshots. Okay? Mkay, bye.
