AUTHOR'S NOTES #1: my first Farscape fic. I've been thinking of writing a John/Gilina fic, will see what I decide. I've really liked Gilina and was really pissed off when they killed her.
AUTHOR'S NOTES #2: have had this designation for John's love for Aeryn in my mind for a long time, but never got around to write it down. Read the fic, you'll know what it is when you'll read it.
Don't forget to review.
SUMMARY: John's thoughts on his love for Aeryn. A few days after end of PKW.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
As I sit here, looking at her breastfeeding our son, I can't help but wonder at this amazing woman.
And at myself, of course.
And at the fact that we managed to produce a child together, since, you know, we are from two different species... But then again D'Argo had a son with a Sebacean woman too, so I guess it must have something to do with the female of the couple, that she has something special in her that allows her to conceive, carry to term and give birth to healthy hybrid babies.
But I'm getting way off my tangent here, sorry.
Anyway, where was I?
Oh, yes...
As I said, I can only wonder at how far I'd come in the last 4 years. Being married to an alien (thank god they're nothing like from that movie, hissing and dripping with slime) and having a child with her. But, even greater bafflement, is the fact that I love her. Anyone can marry and have kids with an alien, okay not everyone but you get my point, while not everyone can transcend the small-mindedness of their own species and fall in love with an alien. Really fall in love, for forever.
I have and I've never regretted it, nor will I ever.
I fell in love in the most extraordinary, explosive and interesting way.
It was namely love at first hit.
