Everything Chapter 2: I've Got Something To Tell You
"Neji?"
"Hn…?"
"I have something to tell you." The two sparring partners sat side by side on the grass, while taking a break for lunch. Tenten had thought about and knowing that Neji was always completely honest with her made Tenten feel very guilty. So today was the day she told him, today she might loose her best friend…or gain something more.
"Neji…I haven't been totally honest with you…and I feel guilty knowing you have." "
"Actually no…I haven't," he thought.
"I…know that you probably only think of me as a friend, but I…I love you."
"You…you what?"
"Love you…?"
"I…love you too."
"You do!?" He nodded slowly…
"MEANIE!! You weren't totally honest either!" She tackled him in a hug and then lightly smacked his head, and while trying to stand up he pulled her back down and into a kiss. They stayed like that for a while…and then finished eating in a happy silence. "Tenten? There's uhh…one more thing…"
"Oh, ok. I'm allll ears."
"It's kind of embarrassing…"
"I won't laugh. I promise."
"Well, you know that stuffed dog…"
"Yeah, I know him."
"Her," he corrected, "it's…uhh…named…after…you." Tenten for a moment, then broke out laughing. She was hunched over, holding her stomach and rolling on the ground.
"Hey! You promised you wouldn't laugh…"
"I'm sorry. It's just funny, but it makes feel even more special knowing that you sleep with it every night." Neji promptly turned blood red and walked away to go train once more. "Hey, Neji! Wait up, I was just kidding!!"
