Reasons

There is a reason Sergeant Domitan of Masbolle flirts with ladies so much. That reason is fourteen years old with hazel eyes that hit him in the stomach. Hard. He tells himself repeatedly she's fourteen but it never stops the attraction. She's also training to be a knight and doesn't need his distraction.
Then it becomes more then flirting and she's sixteen. He tells himself to hold out, not to fall so deeply into being a flirt but it doesn't help. She's still there, still too young and he's too caught in the tangles to stop.
Soon a war comes spiraling in and now he's got that safely unsafe distraction. She's eighteen a knight and when he hears she's commanding a refugee post he can already tell how she's going to react. He knows her all to well. So he sews her commanding flag with the help of his fellow soldiers and the smile on her face is thanks enough.
Then the war ends. And she's in her twenties, it was a five year war and now there is no need for distractions. So he tells her all his reasons and the look on her face is enough to know he was right in his decisions.
A/N: I'm pretty sure that Scanra War lasted for five years if I'm correct in remembering what it said in Trickster's Choice haha. I might not be, but I'm just going with what I can remember. Anyway, obviously it's a K/D, and it's not that great but it came to me and I figured I'd write it and see how it ended up ).
