Chapter One

Tomoyo glanced at her watch and sighed. It was a quarter to two. Sakura was supposed to be there at one.

An auburn haired girl sprinted across the car parking lot and skidded to a halt in front of the photo booth, where her best friend was waiting for her. "I'm sorry, Tomoyo! Really! I would've come here in time…." "But, it is just not your style." completed her friend nonchalantly. Sakura stopped her profuse apologies and pouted. "Moyo!" she implored. "Kura!" mimicked the other girl. "Are you mad at me? Sakura asked, tentatively. "No, I'm not. In fact, I'm pissed as hell!" "Fine with me." It was Tomoyo's turn to stare. "Do you want to visit that new boutique or not?" Sakura charged. Tomoyo's shoulders slumped in defeat. "You are so artful," she complained, while walking next to her. "You wrong me, Tomoyo" muttered Sakura.

"So, tell me, what was it this time?" said Tomoyo, cooled down by a can of iced coke and attacking her ice cream with her spoon. "You didn't oversleep, I called you at eight to let you know about today's plans…" "Uh..," mumbled Sakura thoughtfully. " No need to rack your brains so, I want the truth- no inventions." Sakura smiled at Tomoyo's introspection. "I was logged in," she said. Tomoyo's eyebrows promptly disappeared behind her bangs. "Again?" Sakura smiled guiltily. "I expect that a certain Daemian was logged in as well?" "You are making unfair conjectures.." "Prove me wrong."stated Tomoyo smugly. "Well…..he was….it was a coincidence." "It was more of fate." "So what?" Sakura countered. Tomoyo's features turned serious once more and she sucked thoughtfully on her spoon before saying, "You do know that Yukito's gonna propose anyday now?" Sakura blushed.
