"So, this is it then," Nick said, not meeting David's gaze.
David didn't say anything, but nodded.
"I'm sorry - " Nick started.
"Just get out," David snarled.
"Will you at least tell me what I did wrong?" Nick asked, a tone of desperation to his voice.
"Like you don't know!" David snapped.
No, Nick didn't know. He just came home, and David was chucking all of his stuff into boxes.
Nick didn't even get a chance to explain himself.
"Just... get out..." David said, trembling, though with rage or sorrow was unclear.
"But," Nick whispered, grabbing for David. "I love you."
