You have changed
No matter how hard you try you cannot hide it in your smile
No longer are you carefree, unburdened
I see the shadow that darkens your face
You are not the Frodo I once knew
Laughing happily in the sun and smiling with wonder at the beauty we once knew
Things are different
More than just the ring was lost in the fires of Mount Doom
A piece of your soul has been taken
Grabbed by an unseen hand
Parts of you are lost.
Never again will I see that smile
So carefree
You are not whole.
