Akira stomped down the aisle, her eyes boring holes into Sakurako's head.
"Sakurako, give me that rose!" she demanded. Sakurako fiercely shook her head.
"No," she answered. "Mr. Springfield gave it to me. You're just jealous, Akira, because you didn't get what you wanted." With that, Sakurako tucked the flower away in her notebook, and Akira returned to her seat as Takamichi returned to teach the day's lesson.
Sakurako, you lucky bitch, Akira thought, glaring back at the quiet girl.
Chapter 2:
Nagi set his suitcase on his bed, glad to be relieved of its heavy weight. Even though he was staying for a couple of weeks, he packed too much. Nagi unzipped the case, and he dug out several large scrolls of magic incantations.
"I don't think I really needed to take these," he muttered, tossing them aside onto the pillow. "I guess Old Man Konoe hasn't received any new missions for us yet." Nagi continued to dig around in his suitcase for things to unpack and put away in his room. Even when someone knocked on his door, Nagi didn't look up from his work.
"Who is it?" he called in a monotone voice, engrossed in the manga he had brought with him. "Come in." The door creaked slowly and loudly as Nagi's visitor gently pushed it open. Nagi looked over the edge of his book. A pair of long, slender legs was before his eyes, and he gasped in awe.
"Um, Mr. Springfield, please don't look at me like that," Sakurako asked timidly. "It's very nerve-wracking for me." Nagi stood, setting his book down on the bed.
"I'm sorry," he smiled. "I wasn't expecting a guest any time soon." Sakurako wrung her hands. Her eyes remained fixed on the ground, and she spoke again.
"Professor Takahata allowed me to leave class," she murmured. "I wanted to… I wanted to th—" Nagi stroked her hair from her eyes.
"You have a very pretty face," he said. "No one sees it because you hide it behind your hair." Sakurako's face immediately turned red, and she shook her head. Nagi chuckled at her shy antics, and he bowed courteously. "I never did introduce myself like a proper gentleman." He took her hand and kissed it. "My name is Nagi Springfield. I come from Wales." Sakurako cocked her head to the right.
"I'm sorry, but could you repeat that?" she asked. "I didn't understand what you said." Nagi cleared his throat.
"My name is Nagi," he repeated. "I'm from the country Wales and I want to apologize for the fall earlier." Sakurako shook her head again.
"It's okay," she pleaded, "it's my fault, Nagi-san." Nagi kissed Sakurako's hand, and he smiled at her.
"You don't have to take the blame for everything, Miss Sakurako," he murmured. Slowly, Nagi's hand crept up Sakurako's arm, sliding around her shoulders and down her back. His other arm pulled her toward his warm body into a soft embrace. Sakurako's cheeks burned cherry red as Nagi hugged her tight.
"N-Nagi!" she gasped.
"Now, Kamo," Nagi whispered. His lips moved quickly, rushing an incantation into the air. Sakurako wriggled in Nagi's arms. She grunted as she tried to break free, but in vain.
"Nagi-san, please let me go," she begged. "This is very uncomfortable."
"Not just yet," Nagi murmured, watching Kamo scratch out a magic circle on the floor with a small piece of chalk. "Be patient, Miss Sakurako."
"Whatever you're doing, stop, please!" Sakurako begged. "Please, Nagi-san." Nagi gently stroked her hair, smiling as if nothing was wrong.
"Miss Sakurako," he said, "would you like a pactio?"
"A p-pactio?" Sakurako gasped. "Nagi-san, I don't understand."
"You will." Nagi smiled, and he leaned forward. Glancing at Sakurako beneath his eyelashes, Nagi placed his lips on hers, and he held her tight. Sakurako's cheeks burned bright red as Nagi's tongue slid inside her mouth. She pushed at his shoulders, trying to break free of his kiss. The spell neared its end, and Takamichi paid Nagi a visit. He slid the door open only to catch sight of Nagi with his mouth on one of his students.
"Nagi, what the hell are you doing?" Takamichi snapped. The light of the pactio spell faded away, and Nagi broke from the kiss.
"Making a pactio," he grinned. Sakurako darted to her homeroom teacher. She threw her arms around him, and she began to cry.
"Professor!" she sobbed. Takamichi stroked Sakurako's hair, hushing her cries and soothing her shaking frame.
"Nagi, this is unacceptable," he scolded. "I put you in the faculty dorm so that you would behave. You weren't supposed to harass my student just for some spell of yours!"
"But, she came to my room," he whined, holding his hands up in defense. "She's the perfect pactio candidate, and you know that very well, Takamichi. I simply took the opportunity when it came." Takamichi shook his head.
"We'll talk about this later," he grumbled. "Stay in your room until I come get you." He lead Sakurako into the hall, leaving Nagi alone in his room. The wizard shrugged his shoulders, and he resumed his seat on the bed. His manga hadn't moved a single page. He grinned, and he continued to read his comic as if nothing had happened in his room at all.

"Are you alright?" Takamichi asked Sakurako. He had taken her to the infirmary where she could cry in peace without any other students to stir any taunting. The girl rubbed her reddened eyes with the back of her hand and sniffed. "Did he do anything else to you?" Sakurako shook her head in reply.
At least she's okay, Takamichi sighed, relieved that Nagi hadn't dug a hole too deep for him to climb out.
"He kissed me," Sakurako informed the teacher, "even after I told him I wasn't comfortable."
"That wasn't right of him." Takamichi soothed.
"But, I did go to his room by my own will," Sakurako added. "I wanted to apologize for this morning, when he fell in the classroom." Takamichi raised his eyes brows in interest. "I tripped, and Nagi fell, too." She looked into Takamichi's eyes. "Please, don't be so harsh to Nagi-san," she pleaded. "He really is a kind man, I know it. Someone trying to take advantage of a woman wouldn't hold her so gently." A faint blush rose in Sakurako's cheeks, and Takamichi smiled.
"I've known Nagi for many years," he said. "He doesn't try to hurt people on purpose, Sakurako."
"I know." The girl smiled, brushing her bangs out of her eyes. "Thanks, Professor." She gripped her hands tightly. "Could you do me a favor?"

Nagi sighed as he slid the manga into his suitcase.
"Why did I forget the next volume?" he asked, staring at the light on the ceiling. He sat motionless for a new moments, until Kamo crawled underneath his chin.
"Stop thinking about her," he scolded. "You'll just make yourself sick, since Takamichi's not gonna let you see her anymore.
"You don't know that," Nagi protested. "I don't think Sakurako's the kind of person who—"
"Nagi?" Kamo quickly wormed his way under Nagi's pillow as the dorm room door slid open. Nagi tensed for a moment, but he relaxed as Takamichi came through the door. "I'm disappointed in you, Nagi," the professor began. "I didn't expect you to latch onto a pactio partner so soon, much less a student under my supervision and several years younger than you." Nagi's mouth began to droop. Takamichi smiled and held out his right hand. "She wants to see you again, Nagi," he informed the wizard. "You definitely made an impression on her. Sakurako is shy and fragile, so be careful, all right?" Nagi took Takamichi's hand and grinned.
"You've got it, Boss."
