Lilly took the box James held out to her, and opened it to reveal a kitten – a kitten with shiny black fur that felt like silk against her fingers, and bright yellow green eyes. Around the kitten's neck was an emerald ribbon, tied in a bow which had a note attached. Lilly untied the ribbon, and the kitten stretched then curled up in her lap, purring as Lilly's fingers caressed it's silk fur. After a minute, Lilly picked up the ribbon, and opened the small paper envelope. She unfolded the piece of paper and a diamond ring fell into the palm of her hand. She unfolded the note and read the message Lilly Evans, will you marry me? She turned to James, who was sitting next to her on the couch and smiled.
"Of course I'll marry you" she said, and she felt James put the ring on her finger.
