At the same moment that Edmund was gazing upon the wardrobe, the four friends were busy thinking of a way to convince the King that they were not figments of his imagination, and to bring back his memories of his heritage. There had been many ideas, some good – such as helping him gently to realise his memories, some bad – such as speaking as much as possible to flood his brain with ideas, and some – let's just not go there. In total, they spent over four hours without any plan formed at all, or one that everyone agreed to, and eventually Farsight flapped his wings angrily, and screeched to quieten the noise that was growing louder and louder.

"Quiet!! How are we supposed to agree on a plan to help the King if none of us listen to each other? We are –". He shut up as a wind swirled strongly, ruffling feathers, hair and hooves. It smelled of home, Narnia, and a voice came tumbling on the wind, loud, strong, and warm, like a lion:

"Awake, sons of Adam, awake for your quest is about to begin..."

The voice echoed through London, with small children, people of faith and doubts all hearing the words, but as soon as it came, it left, and most forgot almost instantly. The friends of Narnia however stood abruptly upwards, gazing in the direction the voice had started, with hope and fear in their hearts.

"In Aslan's name..." murmured Mr Tumnus, standing straighter than before, although his voice still quivered. After all, he was a very old faun.

"How quickly can we get to the King, Tumnus?" spoke Tyran commandingly.

"As soon as I prepare the way through Tyran, we can leave." Mr Tumnus started preparing the way, until Philip spoke quietly, but with authority.

"Sons of Adam Mr Tumnus, not son."

Mr Tumnus paused.

"I know, but we know that King Edmund is here, we shall find the other as soon as Edmund is awakened to his heritage."

The four friends stood ready to go to Edmund's location, with a final word from Tyran as they left, caught on the wind:

"I hope that it will be soon." And swirled on the breeze created by their leaving, a mocking laugh was briefly heard, and a chill pervaded the air...
