Chapter -1

AeroSpace Co. Delta

10:36 PM

A single elevator veered up a colossal tower, "This is the delta building", i said to myself, "This isn't a game, so why am i treating this like it is a game?" The elevator came to the point where, looking out the back window, i could see the snow bitten terrain that once was earth. To me, this is all i wanted, to get a view like this, but joining the marines and getting myself into this mess wasn't what i counted on. The sun was hidden in a blanket of clouds overhead. "I dont need this..." i mumbled, and turned facing the steel door. My reflection stared back, i was a marine, tattered clothing was normal for me, i noticed my bullet proof vest was almost about too give, this worried me, for i'm not in the best condition. My right arm has been shot, and i can bairly hold my shotgon in that hand. I looked down tword my weapon, a 12 Guage Pump Action shotgun. Not enough ammo either, only got 24 shells left...6 of which are already loaded. My clothes were also stained with 'those' who have fallen before me. I was exausted, my face showed great signs of it, i havent slept for 37 hours and was beginning to feel its power over me. "This is enough" i made a silent vow and gripped my shotgun a little harder, "I will leave this place even if it kills me.

The elevator slowed down, i can feel it reaching the topmost floor, the roof. There was someone on the radio that said a helicopter was on the roof, and I found that SilverWolf and I were the only survivors of the experiments. We're not human, and we're not a monster, though right now, i felt as mortal as ever (Thats bad). SilverWolf... He was my buddy, but... In the delta labs, there was an accident, he fell into a shaft as we ran from something huge, i cant describe it, but its still down there, somewhere. Whatever it was, it had a rocket launcher for an arm, and was about 30 ft. tall.

The door opened infront of me, outside was snow falling, the cool air breeze fell into the elevator. 'Kinda hard to see', i thought, then i saw it, the helicopter...odd, someone already started it up. i was suprised to see who it was standing infront of it...SilverWolf?

"Hey... i've been waiting..." Silverwolf said, his hair was tied back, and of course, it was dyed silver. He sounded like he was dead, you know that evil dead kinda sound. He wore the same armour as me, but his clothes were more tattered, and his right leg was bleeding. He stared directly at me now, his eyes were red... wtf? "You know... its not nice to leave comrades behind.." Silverwolf clenched his left fist in the air. What happened to his gun?

"Y-Your... ok?" I studdered. The scars on his face were truly astonishing, how could he have survived the drop, much less make it here before me? I strained trying to aim my shotgun at him, somehow, the air grew warm...

"ArcticFox...You scared of what i've become?" Silverwolf asked. This was one of the few times he used my codename, usually he called me 'kid'. He brought his fist back to his chest, the air around us seemed to glow red.

"..." I could'nt speak, my thoughts were scattered, i cant pull the trigger on my friend.

"I know what your thinking..." SilverWolf said, his voice was fading a bit. He moved his left hand behind him, and pulled out a chaingun from his backpack. "Say hi to Satan for Me, Will ya?" He aimed the chaingun at meh.

I can now see clearly, this is no longer my once good friend, silverwolf, but rather a demon incarnate. Without hesitation we both fired our guns, my shotgun tearing his left arm, and some of his chest, and his chaingun ripping through my body. nothing but pain was all i felt, my sight was covered by a red veil.
