Akako gives Kaito a prophecy: If KID is not captured by the demon of light, both of them will die and only if he gets captured will he be able to reach his goal. Kaito would rather go to jail than risk Shinichi's life. With KID gone, Shinichi realizes there are killers out there after the same thing as KID, so he starts investigating.
