The Arc family came from a long line of prestigious warriors, each one accomplishing some major feat in their lifetime. With the pressure to not only live up to his family name, but to exceed it, Jaune Arc has his work cut out for him.

If you watch RWBY, then chances are you are familiar or have heard of the popular fan made team known as Team SLVR, created by Mark Zhang. In my first ever fanfiction (which is set in the main series/timeline of RWBY), this story will follow the lives of Simin Megistus and his team (Lycan Arcadia, Vella Moisia, and Ragora Cinarum).

Jaune Arc wished to live his own life, a life not in the shadow of the Arc Family but a life where he could make his own choices. In order to escape that shadow, he decided to become a Huntsman. What he did not realize was that while Duty and Desire may not always share the same road they often share the same destination.

A traumatic event at an early age changes Jaune and leads him unlocking a semblance that makes him a target to forces he does not even know exist. Now he has to join Beacon academy for his own protection despite wanting nothing with being a Huntsman. Will he manage or will Beacon and it's enemies prove more them he can handle? At least his semblance is good for running away.

Ruby has been taken as an unwilling tool in a mysterious groups plot to change the world of Remnant. Meanwhile her friends have left home in order to find her and bring her back, meeting new friends and facing challenges along the way, will they succeed or will they find themselves even more broken as the world around them falls into shadow.

Team RWBY is still struggling with their new living arrangements, they're new teammates, all of the above. But they're about to find a new ally, and this one is FAR more difficult...

When Cinder Fall deigns to rescue Roman from his botched Dust Shop theft, she briefly duels one Glynda Goodwitch to escape. Something stirs within Cinder then, a yearning, for the first time, towards something other than power. It's because of that feeling that she and her 'Team' travel to Beacon Academy a semester early, chasing that which Cinder can't help wanting to understand.

Jaune was given some generic advice upon moving into his new home for the first. Always check the stove, make sure you lock up properly, turn off lights you aren't using to save on electric, so on and so forth. None of them told him how to deal with a strange, unexpected housemate who lived in his walls and didn't pay rent. Now if only he could find his dang hoodie...

The undermining of the Huntsmen Academies has taken a different turn this time. Set at the beginning of Volume 2, we'll see how these changes effect the story we know. No spoilers for relationships. Frequent updates.

Everyone said the mission was a success. They had stopped the train, averted a disaster and saved countless lives. Yet it didn't feel that way to Ruby. With the festival closing in and the White Fang and their mysterious allies still active, Ruby will have to face the coming conflict, without her own team.
