A/N: This poem takes place in New Moon, when Edward leaves Bella.

Die

Your marble arms used to hold me so tight,

In spite the words, the ones I held so dear,

You let me go, stumbling into the starless night

I guess, deep inside, I always knew, I wasn't good enough for an angel so bright,

But each word struck, struck like a thousand knives,

Can I stay here; stay here forever, under the blackness of night?

And the crunching, the crunching of dead leaves and grass,

I softly closed my eyes, seeing your beauty one last time

The last thought, the last thought before I tore my heart,

The single last thought, the last that crossed my mind, was

How good it would feel, just to curl up and die.
