The sun

Heat or cold,

Life or death,

I used to think he was my every breath,

But you came, offering another chance,

To live forever or just to live,

With you by my side always and forever,

I could see our black hair kids running,

Something I never thought I would get,

But his love, the night I'll never forget shadowed those dreams, the ones so dear,

You were my sun,

But what happens when the sun just isn't so bright?

His love could block the beams,

But what happens to the beams trapped inside, never to forget?

I knew who I couldn't live without, but was it right?

We were meant to be,

In someone life or another

But the black blocks it all,

So would it be an eternity of darkness, or a lifetime of rays?

Every tear tells a story, or so they say,

Can't the sun shine just one more day?
