Friday

Since he had vanquished Lord Voldemort Harry Potter had learnt to appreciate Friday's more than other days.

It was on a Friday that he had asked Ginny to be his girlfriend once more.

It was on a Friday that he had watched Ron propose.

It was on a Friday that he himself had gotten on one knee and proposed.

It was on a Friday that he had married.

It was on a Friday that he received news that he was going to be a father.

But it was on this one specific Friday that he was reminded of it all.

He sat calmly on the leather couch, Ginny leaning pleasantly into his arm. An American sitcom was on the television but Harry too very little notice of it. He was watching his son James maneuver matchbox cars along a mat, dodging other vehicles that merely sat there, unmoving.

"BBBBRRRRRRRR…." James was making the sound effects as he wildly pushed it. "EEEEEE!"

He skidded the toy to a stop.

Harry watched as James moved his hand away slowly, frowning at the toy with confusion. Harry leant forward to see what was troubling him, only to notice that the car had started moving on it's own accord.

Harry blindly tapped at Ginny's leg as he slowly stood up and crept towards James.

"Concentrate on wanting it to move forward, James," Harry instructed lightly and the little boy screwed up his face in effort.

The tiny toy zoomed forward rapidly without a hand guiding it. Ginny squealed beside him as Harry lifted James into the air and zoomed him around happily.

"We have a wizard!"

Ginny merely laughed and took James from him in excitement.

"You say that like it surprises you!" Ginny said, shaking her head with her glorious smile not leaving her lips.

Harry just shrugged and smiled to himself.

It was times like these that he had every reason to enjoy Friday's the most.

Author Note: It was two friday's ago that I found out I am going to be an aunty for the first time. On the same day I finished my Traineeship and was given a massive promotion. It was a good day. Friday just been, my boyfriend bought me flowers for no reason at all. It was also a good day. So right now I like Fridays. Deal with it. :-D
