This was what betrayal felt like. It was like daggers forcing their way through the Rainwings scales and sending raging flames through her body. She was emanating such a heated aura that Glory rivaled her Skywing companion. She saved Starflight and he still sided with his stupid, unrequited love from Sunny. "He was always going to choose her. He may be smart, but he's so stupid sometimes." She growled to herself.

"He'll see. They will both see. When I end the war and bring down the Talons, they'll know I was right." She flew through the storming rain as lightning crashed around them. It was cold and horrible to fly through this weather but Glory was too angry to care. She figured since her tribe was supposed to live in the RAINforest of all places, she should be ok with it but water always made her uncomfortable.

Tsunami liked telling the others to go swim when they were upset because it helped her. Glory hated it. "Tsunami would understand. She would know why the Talons had to be stopped and why we need to do it." Glory wasn't part of the prophecy, but that meant she could do whatever she wanted. "And I am going to end this war myself." She looked back at Peril who was keeping a small distance between the two.

The Skywing was Glory's only real ally right now but with her power, she'd rather have her then Starflight and his love-struck oddness or Sunny and her useless hopeful gaze. "Hope…what's the point of hope if a dragon isn't willing to make it happen? I don't need hope. I need to be sure of myself as I always am."

Peril flapped nervously in the rain as her scales fired off steam with each drop that splattered onto her. Since they started flying, she had kept Quiet. For how little Glory thought of the Skywings intelligence, she at least knew when someone was too frustrated to talk to. But Glory was getting bored just flying with nothing but water and lightning to entertain her ears.

"Um…Glory?" Peril spoke up and flew to her side, expecting Glory to swat her away or silence her. When she didn't, the Skywing continued. "What are we going to do…at this cave? Will the dragon help us?"

The Rainwing stifled a laugh. "Killing him will probably make me happy which will help."

But keeping him alive was probably important. If this Talon could give her information to more Talons, then she could start her revenge for imprisoning her from her home for so long. For getting Clay killed, for turning her friends against her. She would make sure they all paid.

For some reason, Peirl flinched as if she was unsure about Glory's plan. "That seems…harsh. S-shouldn't we be doing good things?"

"Talons are awful. Pyrriha will be a better place without them."She said, sure of herself and her intentions. "It shouldn't be too long until we find it." She had been thinking about all the different ways she would deal with this Talon. Peril was an obvious answer but the Skywing seemed less stellar to jump on the 'let's kill dragons Glory doesn't like!' trip ever since the tower.

What she needed was a demonstration. A demonstration Glory was willing to provide for her. "Peril, when we get there let me go in first. Until I call your name, stay outside." She said, her scales shifting to yellow at the idea of the horrifying look this dragon would have. "I'll talk with them and see if I can learn anything useful."

"I'll have to stand out in the rain?" Peril asked, looking up as more water sizzled against her flamescales.

Glory rolled her eyes. "You're a flamescales. It isn't like you can even get wet, right?" It wasn't phrased like a question which Peril noticed and decided to not complain that she hated the sizzling sound of water turning to steam. "Look, just hide and wait. I shouldn't take too long."

Peril groaned but didn't say anything about it. "So uh…is Starflight not coming back?" She asked innocently, her tail falling to show her uncertainty. "I liked him…he was odd but, in a funny way. He also taught me stuff."

"I can teach you stuff. We don't need him." Glory said bitterly. She didn't need to hear about how much the social outcast liked the Nightwing that didn't even have any powers. "Try to get him out of your head." Peril waited for a few seconds before hanging her head in sorrow. "You didn't even know him for that long. He was an acquaintance at best and a rather useless one at that." The thought of the Nightwing siding with Sunny over her made Glory's blood boil so much that it was getting difficult to keep her scales from changing red.

The Skywing swallowed back some sadness while they soared through the rain. "Ok…no Starflight." She hummed a small, sad song that Glory didn't know about but it was a nice distraction so she didn't stop Peril. It sounded like stars falling from the sky, making the night sky be consumed by darkness.

The Skywing remained silent as they flew and Glory drifted back into her thoughts of vengeance on the dragons that ruined her life. Or at least she WOULD be thinking about that if everytime she did, didn't think back to Sunny not agreeing with her. She hated that feeling.

Not far in the distance, Glory could see a mountain that matched the description she was told. The Rainwing did small flip through the rain and she flashed a smile at Peril. "We're close! Let's hurry up before this storm worsens!"

They flew as quickly as they could, or as quickly as Glory could while Peril struggled to not go ahead of her. "How should I do this?" She thought, seeing the forest grow as they flew. "I can't really go in saying I'm a dragonet of destiny. They wouldn't know. I doubt I'd get anything if I threatened them. At least not honest information."

Then it clicked in her head. They reached the outskirts of the cave and Glory nodded at Peril, telling her to remain silent and wait. The Rainwing made her way up the path and saw a mountain goat run along the dangerous terrain. The cave wasn't easily visible unless you knew what you were looking for. It was a jagged, fang-like looking entrance. There wasn't any sign of light from inside and Glory knew she would need to melt something if she came all this way for nothing.

She made her way inside and shook off some of the water. The cave was cold and unwelcoming but at least it wasn't wet. She changed her scales over until they turned back to her usual green.

"Guess I should have figured these lizards would be hiding in caves. They seem to have a habit of dark spaces. Must remind them of their own minds." Glory walked down the hall as she heard the shuffling of scrolls like a dragon was moving them around in frustration.

The Rainwing smiled, her mind racing before she calmed herself. This was her first Talon and she wanted to remember it. She took a step forward, entering the main room where a single candle made the desk visible to a Seawing with a few scars on his face and a trident behind him.

"Hello. My name is Glory and I have some questions about the Peace movement."

Sorry this chapter is so short. It's mostly just getting from point A to point B without any room for action. Also, I did not give up on this story! I've just planning where to go from here and I think I finally have a plot line I am happy with. Chapters will be continuing like last time and hopefully will be more frequent. (The next chapters are going to be way longer)
