He hurled the phone against the wall as he cried out in rage. There was nothing he could do now, but a lot he could have done differently. Over there, thousands of miles away from him, on the island he left two years ago, the most important person in his life was captive because of him. His friend was being tortured because of him, and he had learnt it just now, six months after his friend's abduction. His friend had been beaten more than twenty times, all recorded, but he had just received it. He had no time to lose, he had to find his friend quickly and to get him out of there. He could never forgive himself if he died. He rushed inside, grabbed his bag and stopped a taxi in the street. He didn't mind the journey that was coming or the time he would spend rescuing him. He would find him, he had no other choice.
