(-Inner Sanctum Ten minutes Later-)
"So, you have found what you were seeking, Bruce?" J'onn asks, speaking through the Dark Knight on a holographic screen, that was provided to him by the Inner Sanctum when it correlated with his comms for better use.
"Not exactly," Batman firmly states as he continues to observe one of the various holographic screens of news feeds. "But he is now more willing to stand on the path Luthor set him on,"
"I expected that much sooner," The Green Martian also says knowingly as he already foresaw the young Gardian's choice beforehand. "Where is he now?"
Upon hearing that question, Batman turns his head toward one of the open entrance halls. "He is readying himself,"
"I see,"
"In another case, What's your current status?" Batman asks his Martian friend to report to him their situation.
And that is when J'onn begins to explain their recent progress in thwarting Superman's army. "I'm afraid It is not good," he regrettably informs the Insurgent leader before continuing. "So far, We have only been delaying them in their inevitable success in destroying Gotham. But we cannot hold on forever, Bruce. And Metropolis will soon follow once additional reinforcements arrive there"
Batman can only let out a grumble at the new status update he just heard. Things are beginning to get worse by the minute, and it'll only get even more so If they don't make their way back soon. If only they have more time and more people to fill in their resistance, they might have a chance.
"Then let's not waste anymore time!"
A familiar voice speaks out from one of the hallways soon followed by numerous footsteps that approaches Batman's location.
Turning to the source of the voice, Batman sees three familiar individuals approach him. The first two individuals on the left are Betty as she comes into the center room with the Gardian Tablet in her hand, which she kindly requested back as a way for her to keep an eye on her son, along with the holographic figure of King Soran, who follows beside the woman on the right with no haste.
But the third approaching individual is the one that Batman took the most out of the three.
There stood between Betty and Soran is none other than Aaron. But only this time, he dawns on the black and gold armored outfit as he proudly and openly shows his Gardian family shielded insignia of the Sun on the left side of his armored chest. Along with that, Aaron's newly acquired Omni-Blade, a gift to him by his father is seen fastened onto the young Gardian's back, ready to be used whenever its owner reaches for it in battle.
And right now is a good time as it'll ever be for what they're about to face.
"If it's all the same with you, Batman, J'onn…" Aaron seriously begins to say as he and the others fully approached the Dark Knight and gaze at the screen. "I want to get started right now before more innocent people get hurt,"
"Have you and your allies formulated a proper strategy?" Soran curiously asks.
"It's a work in progress," Batman admittedly answers, much to everyone's disappointment. "We're stretched thin out there, and it'll only get worse by the minute,"
In the hologram screen, J'onn attempts to dissuade any doubt. "Regardless of our lack of reinforcement, We'll do what we can here so Aaron can focus on bringing down Superman,"
"No," Aaron abruptly states which surprises everyone in the room before the young Gardian king continues. "Not yet. You guys need my help first. And then I'll go after Superman,"
Putting the people first before confronting the main enemy, it's truly a remarkable thing for everyone, especially Batman, when they heard Aaron's dignified intention. It seems that he's already beginning to comprehend one of the most important things of what it means to be a protector of the world. And despite how much the odds are against them, Aaron doesn't give in the intention of surrendering, let alone abandoning the people that have waited for years for someone to save them.
But it still doesn't change their situation. And this familiar feeling that Aaron easily picks up thanks to his newly enhanced senses.
"Aaron?" Betty asks as she, along with the others take notice of the young Gardian beginning to take a look at his surrounding. "Is something wrong?"
Aaron doesn't answer at first as he continues to focus on his current intent in locating the source. And soon enough, Soran begins to detect the sensation as well and narrows his eyes. "We're not alone, are we?"
Aaron nods his head. "No," he confirms. "But I recognize this energy signature," and from that, he directly turns around to the near entrance of the Inner Sanctum. "I know you're there!" Aaron calls out for the unknown being in front of him. "Show yourself!"
As if hearing his edict, the being makes itself known when a familiar fire unexpectedly arises from the ground. Expecting this to be an ambush, Batman sets himself on guard while putting Betty behind him to protect her from potential harm.
"It is just as I expected," an intrigued voice says from within the flames before he steps out to make his presence known to the Insurgents. "In this short amount of time, Your abilities have vastly improved from our last meeting,"
"Ares?" Batman skeptically inquires as he recognizes the God Of War standing in front of them. "How did you find us?"
From hearing the Bat mortal's demand, Ares couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. "Always the detective first," he casually remarks before he indulges the Dark Knight's question as he turns to both Aaron and Soran. "In truth, I almost didn't. It appears Your people's unique and resourceful technology had almost rendered my magic incapable of passing into this place," But fortunate for the war God, this place's new owner carelessly left the front entrance open for anyone to get in.
And the said owner of this place speaks up again. "What did you come here for, Ares?" Aaron questions as he knows that the dark-armored God didn't come for a casual visit.
"I am here to offer you, mortals, my assistance in your upcoming war against Superman," Ares readily answers, surprising everyone in the room. "A war that will decide the final fate of this world to be,"
"Then I assume you didn't come here empty-handed?" Soran firmly states, crossing his arms as he glares at the War God. Though he is appreciative of the offer to help his son, The Holographic Gardian King did not appreciate unwelcome guests, entering the Inner Sanctum without his knowledge.
With that question said, Ares, answers with a nod before he approaches the group. "Tell me, just How much are you all aware of Superman's plan?" he asks the Insurgents.
"More than Enough. Just Get to the point," The leader of the Insurgent quickly answers as he doesn't want to beat around the bushes.
"As you all are aware," Ares begins to share what he has learned with them. "Superman continues to gather his remaining Regime forces to devastate the cities," he then conjures his magic to project an illustration. "But that is not the only army he intends to send out,"
And as soon as the image becomes clear to the viewer, shock and horror expressions form in the Insurgents. What they are watching is a live image feed of Themyscira and at the island ports, they're able to see Wonder Woman presiding over the Amazons as they continue to prepare themselves for war.
"Oh my god!" Betty horrifically expresses as she and the others continue to watch the scene in front of them.
"Yes, shocking isn't it?" Ares asks in an understanding tone as he already predicted their reaction before he showed this. "The great Amazon army, preparing to subjugate an entire continent,"
"Such numbers," Soran seriously states as he sees the numerous female warrior continue to fill in the ranks.
"Impossible…" disbelief Batman mutters as he could not believe what he is seeing. Diana, a person who once fought with both honor and grander is utilizing such extreme steps to conquer the world, how could she do that? "Hippolyta would never authorize this,"
"True," Ares agrees with Batman, regarding the former Queen's position on the matter. "But with enough intimate persuasions over the years, Diana managed to achieve the necessary support to overthrow her mother's authority,"
Aaron grips his fists in anger as he glares at the image of Wonder Woman. Overthrowing her mother so she could access the power to dispatch an entire army on a destructive mission, all so she could appease Superman of his delusion that he's protecting everyone just puts more anger within him.
"If only 'someone' were able to stop her…"
Ares's gesturing voice comes into the young Gardian's path which makes him turn to look at the War God, who proceeds to give him an implying look at the matter in front of him.
And it would also be noticed by others as well. "If I may ask…" The simulation consciousness of Soran comes to speak suspiciously. "Why would you have Aaron take action on this?"
And the said Gardian son comes to speak his skepticism as well. "Yeah, why would you? As I recall from our last meeting, you said conflict fuels your magic," So why would the God of war have him cease the very thing that empowers him? It doesn't make sense.
"In the short term, yes," Ares readily confesses.
And Batman, living up to his name as the world's greatest detective easily deduced it. "But it would immediately come to an end if Superman consolidates his rule,"
"Precisely," And that's when Ares turns to Aaron once again to persuade him. "If you truly wish to stop Superman, this would be the most sensible way to approach it. You would sever their ties with the Kryptonian, greatly damaging his numbers, and possibly, increasing your chances of victory,"
With that much information, Aaron turns to his holographic father, his adoptive mother, and his friend/ally for their opinions on what to do. "Well? What do you guys think?"
And soon, the said trio turn to each other to silently discuss this proposal. With how things are for them now, it would seem almost impossible for them. Even if they managed to defeat the onslaught on Gotham, there's still the matter in Metropolis, they would be outnumbered and outgunned in a matter of minutes.
Once an agreement is made, the trio turns to Aaron, who awaits their response.
"My son, listen," Soran begins to address his son. "There are always high risks in wars. You must consider every possible odd in the choices you make, especially now,"
And Betty soon comes in. "And we will always trust you of those choices,"
Soran and Betty would always trust Aaron because they know him. He would never resort to anything fatal unless it was life or death for him or anyone else. And they only hoped that it would never come to that anytime soon either.
And it soon comes to Batman be next. He remains silent for a few seconds, pondering what he needed to say. He won't deny that in times like these, there will always be risks in doing the things they do, whether they like it or not, it is just how it is. But he can never forget who they are and why they continue to fight, and he hopes that Aaron doesn't forget as well.
With his usual expression, Batman steps forward to the young Gardian. "As I said before all of this. Luthor always had invariably believed in you, Aaron. Time and again you've proven him to be right with each decision made up to now. You gave the people a new faith, something to believe in both you and themselves. They trust you now," Batman then outstretches his arm toward Aaron in a gesture of a handshake. "So I trust you to continue making the right decisions and end this war once and for all,"
Multiple surprising reactions envelop the Gardian as he heard all of their responses. And most of all, they all believe in him making the right choices from here on out as well.
With a determined expression, Aaron reaches out for Batman's extended hand with his own. "I promise," He begins to say as he and the Dark Knight shake hands. "I won't let any of you guys down,"
So it all falls to the young Gardian King to make the final call. And with his ally's trust and approval, he can't hesitate on the path he chooses to walk on. Everything will fall to him to make the right decision and accept the consequences that come with those options made.
And with that in mind, Aaron finally makes a final decision.
He turns back to Ares, who waited patiently for his verdict, but he probably already knew what the Gardian decided to do next. And the war god couldn't help but respect Aaron as he sees the vast determined look displayed on the young King's expression as he walked toward him with no ounce of fear.
"Are you ready?" Ares asks the sword-wielding Gardian.
Aaron confirms that question with a nod. "As I'll ever be," he seriously responds before quickly saying something else first. "And I would thank you for your help, Ares. But It would just remind me that you are only doing this more for yourself than for us,"
"There is no need," Ares easily waves off the last remark, not bothered by that small accusation. "After all, our interests align together. Temporarily,"
"Agreed," Aaron says in accord with this alliance before he turns to his friend and family. "I'll be right back,"
"Be careful, Aaron," Betty says in concern for her son.
"Yes, my son," Soran also says similarly, but with a serious tone. "Take caution. And expect much opposition once you enter enemy territory,"
"In the meantime when you come back, We'll head back to Gotham to help our remaining forces," Batman informs Aaron before he provides him with a quick saying. "Good luck, Aaron,"
Hearing their last response before he goes, Aaron turns to them, showing them his unshakable determination.
"I won't need luck, you guys. Because I am coming back to defeat Superman,"

Things are going from bad to worse right in the very parts of the city of Gotham. From every corner of each city block, more and more regime forces continue to fill the open roads with their soldiers and armored vehicles. They continue to unhesitantly march through the streets in unison with no indications of stopping for anything. And at the same time, they survey their surrounding area, on the lookout for any form of resistance, whether it is big or small as they've been given specific orders from their High leader, Superman, to apprehend anyone that opposes them, even with lethal force.
And the worst of it is that they're not the only ones that are patrolling the city when Robin, who watches from on top of a building from a safe enough distance to not be seen, manages to spot a few highly known members of Superman's forces. Well, except for the one person that the fifth Robin hopes not to confront yet.
"Robin, status report,"
The son of Batman is cut off from his thoughts when a stoic voice suddenly speaks into his comm, wanting to know about the current situation. "It's getting worse over here, J'onn," Robin, unfortunately, informs his Martian friend of what he has found in his scope. "They've already convened in Downtown Gotham and they've already begun their siege," he then lets out a sigh of frustration. "If only we acted-"
"It was inevitable to stop their assemblage, Robin," Martian Manhunter tells him, reminding the boy of their objective. "We just needed to stall them long enough for us to assemble our own to counterstrike,"
Robin already understood their situation wasn't gonna be easy. But he just wished they could at least catch a small break from all of this. But as Batman said to him in one of their training sessions, "The criminal elements don't take small breaks," he murmurs to himself, repeating the words his father gave him.
"Robin…"
"It's nothing," Robin quickly tells J'onn as he turns around and proceeds to head over to the other side of the building. "Speaking of our own has there been any word from my dad and the others yet?"
The Martian Manhunter answers as the young sidekick. "They're on their way back now to discuss our next strategy,"
From that, Robin lets out another sigh, but this one is more relieved. "Finally…," he lets out as he takes out his grapnel gun from his utility belt to shoot a line to liftoff over to the rooftop building across from him. "Then if it's alright with you guys, I'm gonna make a quick sprint over to Harley and her clan to tell them our next plan before heading back,"
Though he is reluctant to allow the crimson-clad sidekick to go, out of concern for him, they needed to have everyone on their team to be updated on their current objective. "Understood," Martian Manhunter approves. "But be cautious on your way there, stick to the shadows,"
"You do know who you're talking to, right?" Robin jokingly says as he hangs up his comm before once again using his mode of transportation to travel across the city.

Using the grapnel's built-in booster, Robin uses the acceleration build-up to reach the designated building in front of him to help catapult himself into the air before quickly utilizing his cape to glide across the roof.
And that's when he takes the opportunity to finally enjoy the sensation he's feeling right now.
One of the few things that Henry finds relaxing is gliding in the sky. Feeling the soft wind pass his face helps him alleviate all matters of stress he has built up within him. And boy did he need this. Things have been getting more intense in this long endeavor to topple Superman's hold on the world that he barely had the time to be with himself. And the last thing Robin wants to do is let the overwhelming stress break his posture like before with Doomsday.
So this would be the best time as ever to quietly discharge some of that stress now as he continues to glide toward his destination.
"Meow…"
"Huh…?"
But only for it to soon end when an audible, but familiar sound of a cat is heard nearby in an unoccupied alley. And because of an inheritable trait and who his mother is, Henry couldn't help himself from being curious as he proceed to touch down on the ground and enter the dark alley.
Turning to the source of the sound, Robin can easily confirm that it is indeed a cat. Although this is one cat that Henry already knows well due to an instinct he developed years ago as he reaches his arm to gently pet the cat's head.
"Hey, Isis," the ten-year-old boy greets the black cat. "Long time, no see, huh?" in response to the head rub, the feline lets out a soft purr before she proceeds to rub herself on Robin's legs in affection.
And Robin lets out a small chuckle. "Not long enough, apparently," after all, Isis could never forget him after all the times they spent together while his parents were out doing their 'nightly' activities.
Speaking of parents, one of them just happens to make her presence known to him as well. "Why wouldn't she remember you?" Catwoman lightly questions as she approaches her son. "You two were almost inseparable before you even began crawling,"
"Mom…" Though Robin should be happy in seeing his mother in sufficient circumstances. But he quickly shakes his head to shake his feelings as he has to remember that she is the enemy. "What are you doing here?"
Catwoman slightly flinches as she's able to hear the subtle anxiety and bitterness in her son's voice when he spoke. "A cat can't visit her young?" she jokingly asks in an attempt to lower the tension between the two.
"Not like this…" Robin negatively responds as he makes gestured to his surroundings before Isis makes her way back to Selina.
"Well, we can clear out the air once we're out of the City," The Cat themed woman quickly states before she takes her son's wrist and attempts to leave. But only to her complete surprise, Robin remains rooted to his current spot, which prompts her to look at her son with concern. "Henry…?"
Hearing his mother's worried voice, Robin silently flinches as he straightens himself before speaking. "Where are we gonna go?"
"Away from Gotham and Metropolis, far away, somewhere safe for both of us," she quickly explains to him before Catwoman again pulls her son but with more force, this time due to the super-pill, enhancing her strength.
But Robin proved to be resistant to his mother as he is also on the pill as well. "And what about Dad and the others?" he frantically questions.
Selina doesn't say anything as she looks hesitant to answer which agitates Henry to be more forceful in his attempt to get a response from her. "Are we just gonna leave them alone to die?"
"Henry,"
But said name continues to further push it. "Are we gonna leave Dad to die? The same way how you left Barbra and aunt Kate to die?!"
"He made his choice, Henry!" Selina finally snaps, which causes Isis to cry out in surprise before she turns to look at the mother and son. "He chose his mission over us and he's too pretentious to realize that this fight is a lost cause! Superman has won! There's nothing he can do to stop him from leveling this whole city to the ground!"
Soon enough tears began to fall down Catwoman's face as she turns to look at her son, who similarly looks back at her with his own eyes before she speaks in a softer tone. "But we can survive, Henry. That's the best thing we can do right now. I made the mistake of leaving you with him. But I'm sure as hell am not gonna let you be involved in his obsession anymore," Robin didn't realize it until now when Selina uses her hand to gently caress his cheek while Isis comes to rub herself on his leg once again.
It's been so long since Henry felt his mother's soft warm hand, touching his face with such care and protection, and he misses this feeling. So much so that he lets out a soft sigh as he instinctively closes his eyes before he leans into it as if he is beginning to accept this fate. Continuing her caresses, Catwoman proceeds to wrap her other arm around her son and slowly pulls him into a hug. And Soon enough, Robin proceeds to slowly wrap his arms around Selina as he leans his head over to his mother's shoulder.
They continued to stay this way for the next minute or two, enjoying the silent warm presence of each other while listening to the purring noise of Isis as she nuzzles between their legs.
During times like these, they just wish things could go back to the way they once were. Back when their family was whole where no one they cared about is either dead or joining the wrong side and betraying one another. But life always has a way of bringing everyone down to their lowest point. Just like what it's trying to do now with them. But the choice remains their own, even if it will hurt the person they care for.
And one that Robin must make now.
"I can never blame you for what happened," he sadly says, confessing to Selina regarding her betrayal of Batman and the Insurgents. Because Henry fears that if he does blame her then he might lose the close bond he has with what's left of his family and which will cut the small hope of his mother fixing the relationship with his Father so that their family is not all gone.
Hearing her son's truth, Catwoman sighs in both sadness and relief as she caresses the back of his head, stroking his hair with her fingers. "I'm so sorry, Henry," she whispers to him as she feels her boy slightly shift around his body. "I never meant to hurt any of you like this,"
"I know you are," The crimson sidekick gently responds in forgiveness to his mother's apology, much to her sheer relief. "But like dad always said. 'Don't be sorry. We have to be Better',"
Selina looked ready to question the meaning of Robin's statement.
Click
But an audible connecting sound reaches her ears, causing the Cat-theme thief to turn to the source. And to her complete surprise, Catwoman discovers a pair of bat cuffs with one end being attached to her one of her wrists and the other to a fire escape railing. She turns back to her son, who has a firm but slightly somber look on his face as he slowly takes a step back from his trapped mother.
Selina doesn't say a word as her surprised look turns to recognition as she sees her son's current expression. It was one expression she is all too familiar with because his father gives her that same look whenever he catches her stealing something.
"Henry…" Catwoman finally says in a dismal tone. "Not you too,"
Hearing her genuine voice makes Robin grips his fists in an attempt to maintain his current posture before letting out a low sigh. "I have a job to do," Robin strongly declares as he reaches for his grapnel gun. "In the meantime, You'll be safe here when father and I come back for you when it's over. I promise,"
And with that, Robin aims up and fires a line to a building top before he launches himself into the air so he could resume his recent objective to inform Harley and her Joker Clan of the new strategy and join with Insurgents soon after.
Once he was out of her sight, Catwoman look down in distraught as Isis lets out another soft 'meow' as she looks at her owner with a look that asked her 'what now?'
"I don't know Isis," the Cat-themed thief sadly confesses to her black cat companion as she continues to look at the area where Robin left. And Catwoman couldn't help herself from letting out a small chuckle as she admirably looks at her cuffed arm.
Henry is as stubborn and adamant as his father and he is sly and cunning as his mother whenever he wants to be. In some truth, Selina kinda anticipated this course to transpire before finding him on his own But she still tried nonetheless.
And if Henry refuses to leave Gotham with her, then neither will she.
(Entering Nick Arundel: Batman Arkham Knight OST: Riddler's Revenge (Epilogue))
(-Themyscira Five Minutes Later-)
It was fortunate for the now-former Queen Hippolyta, who is dressed entirely in a robe to conceal her appearance, that she managed to escape her confinement and it was most fortunate that she was able to make her way to an unoccupied temple undetected due to the Amazons gathering at the docks by order of Diana.
And it was still disbelief to the blonde Amazon that her daughter would stage a coup against her right under her nose. She never thought or believed that Diana would ever resort to such treachery and she would stain The Amazon's honor without hesitation. And it's all just to appease one man, who is no longer concerned with protection, only destruction.
And Hippolyta is not going to allow the Amazons to be part of that path of destruction.
For years, Hippolyta had stood by as she allow herself to believe that man's world is past their help. And perhaps she was in the belief that she was doing the right thing by shielding her fellow sisters from anymore harm but was also ignorant to find out they thought differently about her hasty decision. But even though it was too late, she still realizes that was now a mistake and one that she must atone for.
But she cannot convince her sisters of that without Diana countering her statements with her own, and she needs to show them that the path that her daughter set them on is wrong, Which is why she waits patiently for her 'inconvenienced' ally to return with support to keep Diana distracted long enough for her to convince her sisters of this flawed path.
And speaking of her ally, the blonde Amazon can finally release a sigh of relief as she sees familiar reddish flames arise in front of her, and soon the God of war himself appears along with a certain individual as well.
"You've returned," the former amazon queen formally states to her temporary ally.
"As I said I would, Hippolyta," Ares returns the tone before he makes a gesture to his passenger. "Along with our deliverance as well,"
Following his motion, Hippolyta meets the newcomer on Themyscira, and she is taken surprised by who she sees in front of her. "He is the one?" The Blonde Amazon questions in disbelief as she looks back at Ares.
Ares confirms her with a nod. "Yes. But do not be fooled by his adolescent, Hippolyta," he begins to say in vouch for the Gardian. "After all, He is the one who helped contrive the people to turn against Superman,"
His explanation of Aaron's recent accomplishment surprises Hippolyta even further as she turns to the boy. He is the one who's been causing great trouble for Superman and his regime for the past few days? Surely it could be a jest. But as she continues to look at Aaron, who happens to look back at her as well, the former queen can see how he could cause trouble for anyone.
From the outside, Hippolyta easily deduced the new guest to be a uniquely young spiky black-haired boy, outfitted in black-gold combat armor for Warriors of modern times, along with a large silver-gold sword that strapped to his back. And due to her being a veteran warrior, Hippolyta can see that this boy, despite his youthful appearance, is a hardened warrior with tremendous power that's waiting to be unleashed when ready.
At the same time, Aaron looks at the blonde Amazon while he makes analyses of his own. Feeling out her energy, Aaron concludes she too almost being ancient as Ares, despite her youthful appearance as well. But also, her energy felt familiar as well, almost similar to the one he fought in Metropolis the other day which means he can conclude that this woman is closely related to her, most likely her mother.
"Now that introductions are out of the way," Ares suddenly announces, getting the attention of the two warriors. "I'll leave you both to your work, now. Call me when you're ready," and with that said, Ares teleports away from the area.
With the war god gone, the Gardian and the Amazon can now focus on their mission to stop Diana and her sisters from their invasion.
"Ok," Aaron begins to get serious as he turns to the former Amazon Queen. "Where do we start?"
Seeing that he wants to get to the point, Hippolyta nods in agreement before she obliges his question. "Come with me," she requests as she makes her way across the temple with the young Gardian following behind her. But not before she appeals to him for a discussion. "Tell me, Aaron, how much are you aware of the situation?"
The question asked sounded curious and it was nothing the young Gardian couldn't answer. "I know enough," he responds before his eyes and hard voice turn soft as Aaron looks at the blonde Amazon. "And I'm sorry your daughter had put you through all this,"
From hearing his sincere comment about her situation, Hippolyta would've appreciated his words but she couldn't let out a soft sad sigh. "I would not fret about Diana's treachery, young one," she assures the Gardian as they head over to the balcony of the temple where they're able to have a clear view of the island docks. "In the hindsight of the truth, most of the fault must reside with me,"
Aaron raises an eyebrow in confusion. "What do you mean? Why blame yourself?" As she recalls, Wonder Woman was the one who doubled crossed not her.
"It was something Diana had spoken to me earlier before my unseated position," Hippolyta firmly clarifies as she continues to gaze down at the docks, viewing her sisters continue to assemble their supplies, and ready the boats for departure. "And despite her harshness on the matter, I'm afraid her words have spoken the truth behind my previous intentions,"
"Intentions?" Aaron's interest in the point increases as he wishes to learn more about the matter. That way, he'll be able to understand the problem and find a way to help the blonde woman resolve it.
Seeing as they have little extra time, Hippolyta decides to oblige the Gardian's curiosity. She began explaining to Aaron the origins of the Amazons and what they were meant to do, to protect man's world from all manners of evil with peaceful resolutions.
But she then tells him of herself and her sisters being betrayed and forcefully enslaved by the very people they'd vowed to protect. But having a strong mind to help endure the ever-harshness of man, Hippolyta encouraged her sisters to rally against their oppressors and successfully freed themselves from their captivity.
Hippolyta continues telling her story while Aaron continues to be left awestruck. This whole story is nearly accurate to he learned about the Amazons in books his mother and Luthor had him go over when learning greek mythology.
"But of course, our triumph would come at a price," Hippolyta says, continuing to elucidate her story to Aaron, who continues to patiently listen. "Our hearts and minds would be easily exposed to the evils that have corrupted men. Even I lost my faith in them and I grew to believe that all of them are evil," she then turns to face him. "And so, to prevent this corruption from spreading further to my sisters, I appealed to Zeus and Hera to create Themyscira to conceal us from the outside world, and we have remained untouched by man's evil for centuries,"
"Until now…" Aaron says, finally realizing The Former Amazon queen of her intentions.
Hippolyta nods in confirmation. "That was how Diana managed to rally so many to support her cause, she touched the darkest parts of their hearts and resented them against me for my timidity decision,"
"But why would they think that? You were just trying to protect them right?"
"Yes, I thought I was," Hippolyta admits to the Gardian but sounded regrettable. "But no, my anger and distrust of men had made me disregard our vows to protect them, not knowing that it would negatively affect those around me," the blonde Amazon then looks slightly more remorseful. "I made the mistake of believing that man is beyond saving, and my daughter believes she's in the right in undoing that mistake with this heretical plan proposed by Superman,"
Aaron angrily grips his fist at the mention of The Kryptonian's name before he glares down at the docks. "I'm not gonna let that happen," he determinedly declares.
"And what makes you so sure of that?" the older Amazon questions the young Gardian's words.
"Because I made a promise to the people who put their trust in me to stop him," Aaron openly explains before he turns back to the blonde woman with an even more determined look. "And I just made another for you too. And that's to not let your sisters take the fall of being the ones who destroyed the world,"
Hearing his committed response leaves Hippolyta greatly amazed. She met this young boy for only moments and he was already determined to help her with this crisis. There were no indication signs of hesitation or reluctance behind both his eyes and voice when he turned and spoke to her.
And if Hippolyta is mistaken when hearing Aaron's sheer determination and courage, it almost reminded her of Diana who fought with similar ideals before she joined Superman's cause. But even if the heavy odds are against him, Hippolyta can see that Aaron isn't one to give up the fight so easily.
And seeing those categories of his, perhaps Man's world could be saved after all.
Hippolyta is just about ready to give her appreciation to the Gardian. But only to stop herself when she notices Aaron's entire facial expression suddenly shifts. "What's wrong?" the blonde Amazon asks as Aaron quickly turns around.
"We're not alone," Aaron growls before he reaches for his Omni-blade, igniting it in green energy as he readies himself for an expected fight. "There someone here,"
Seeing the seriousness in his posture, Hippolyta readies herself as well. "Who is it?"
(Entering Ron Nardin: The Devil)
"Something familiar, something pure evil," The Gardian ominously says as the being he senses makes itself known in the form of a bird comprised of dark energy before it dissipates to reveal herself known to both Aaron and Hippolyta.
"Raven…" The blonde Amazon says in recognition of the crimson-skinned woman standing before them.
"The fallen queen and disgraced God Of War has aligned themselves with the Insurgents…" Raven emotionlessly indicts as she makes her way toward the two warriors. "As a strategist, your no Athena,"
"She doesn't need to be a God to have common sense," Aaron counters as he points his blade at Raven.
And soon Hippolyta steps in as well. "And your loyalty is to be in question as well, Raven," she says as the Amazon is well aware of who the demon hybrid is due to learning from Diana's tales of the outside. "Surly Superman suspect your true intentions, servant of Trigon,"
Trigon is a powerful inter-dimensional demon lord of hell that was brought forth from another dimension, and his sole purpose is to conquer all life in the universe. But he would always be thwarted by the hands of his daughter Raven along with the help of the Teen Titans back when they were alive. But that all changed when the Joker nuked Metropolis five years ago.
And due to the overgrowing conflict between Batman's insurgents and Superman's regime, Trigon secretly attempted to seize the open opportunity to conquer Earth while the combatants were weakened by their battle. But only for a being from the fifth dimension by name of Mr.Mxyzptlk, to intervene in the demon lord's conquest.
This resulted in a battle between these two deities that would've distorted reality and the world's stability. But it didn't when Shazam and Dr.Fate combined their magics to send the two away into the void. But two years after his imprisonment, Raven mysteriously disappeared around those times before she suddenly made her appearance known to Superman another year later before accepting his invitation into the regime.
As Hippolyta states her sentence, neither she nor Aaron notices the red jewel on Raven's forehead glint out as if it's reacting to them.
"I serve both if you must know," Raven clarifies to the former queen's accusation. "With Superman's victory will hasten my father's restoration," she continues to speak as she channels her hands in dark energy. "And all shall bow before him," Without hesitation, Raven fires a strong dark energy blast at the blonde Amazon, who didn't have the time to react to the quick action against her.
Fortunately, Aaron didn't take long to act as he jumps in front of Hippolyta and blocks the energy attack with his sword. And Raven is taken completely by surprise when Aaron's sword somehow begins absorbing her energy, enveloping the sharp silver edges, that once were covered in Aaron's green energy, into Raven's dark energy.
"You want us to bow," Aaron growls as he begins to push back against the attack while unaware of the absorbed dark energy on his sword quickly transitions to a pure white light one. "Not. Gonna. HAPPEN!" with that said Aaron strongly pushes his Omni-blade forward, unleashing the energy blast right back to its owner, who's too shocked to move as the incoming white energy makes direct contact with her.
Boom
Raven painfully screams out as Aaron's counterstrike propels her off the ground and crashes into one of the large statues. This gives the Gardian time to quickly assess what just happened. Aaron looks at his Omni-Blade in surprise and questions for a second as the white energy soon reverts to its original green hue. What did it do just now?
But that is something his father will have to explain to him about after this. Shifting his focus, the Gardian turns to quickly address his Amazon ally.
"Hurry, get to the docks!" Aaron urgently tells the former Queen as he keeps his eyes on the recently made ruble. "This fight is mine,"
But Hippolyta looked slightly hesitant in departing. "Are you certain?" The former queen questions as she wishes not to leave the young Gardian Warrior to face this dangerously demonic foe alone.
Making a side glance at her, Aaron doesn't hesitate to nod. "We both know what's at stake if one of us doesn't stop Diana now. And she's not gonna let us walk out of here alive," he seriously explains as he sees movement from the broken statue debris. "I'll catch up to you when I'm done here,"
"And what if you can't?"
"I will be there," he repeatedly says with a sharp firm tone. And upon hearing his determined declaration, all of Hippolyta's hesitant and worries for the boy seem to have quickly diminished as she makes her way to the exit.
With Hippolyta now out of harm, Aaron can focus on the battle in front of him. Soon enough, dark auras would envelop the large residues of the statue before they float in the air, revealing the demonic hybrid herself.
And by looking at her current face, she looks less than pleased when she set her murderous sights on the Gardian. "I still owe you a debt of suffering, boy," Raven growls.
Hearing that recollection of their last encounter makes Aaron scoffs. "Yeah? You're not gonna hit and run away again, are you?" He mockingly insults which enrages her further.
Raven cries out in fury as she uses her telekinesis to propel the large leftover stones at Aaron at high speed. Seeing this, Aaron enhances himself in green energy and he quickly jumps out of the way of the first incoming stone before the second one comes right after, compelling the young Gardian to catch it with his bare hands before tossing it aside.
Aaron growls as he catches sight of the final stone that comes hurling at him. Switching to his primary weapon, Aaron instantly energizes his Omni-blade and makes a strong swing at the incoming projectile which easily slices the hard stone in half like butter.
Aaron tries to locate the demon hybrid with his senses. "Where is she…" he grumbles to himself as he has his Osmosian alloyed weapon ready.
Then unexpectedly, a large dark energized raven-like talon emerges below Aaron, followed by Raven, and is tightly gripped in its grasp before it raises him in the air, dropping his Omni-Blade in the process as he is slammed into the ceiling.
"You will submit!" Raven furiously exclaims before she proceeds to drag the Gardian around like a rag doll, hitting him into numerous stone columns and statues before making an immediate slam into a nearby wall.
Slumping to the ground on his hands and knees, Aaron grunts in pain before he attempts to stand up. But only to find himself clamped by his four limbs in dark magic conjured by the female demonic sorceress that forcefully halts his whole movement. "Still, you resist the inevitable?" Raven arrogantly questions the struggling Gardian before making her decent toward him.
"Such great power but misguided. Perhaps my father will find a use for you along with the others we've collected," she then telekinetically raises Aaron in the air before she grabs his head to force him to look at her. "When you're dead,"
BZZT
Aaron screams in agony as he feels his entire being in severe pain as Raven continues to crush him with intense dark energy pressure. And hearing his sheer screams only has the demon girl chuckle in delight as she intensifies her attack.
"I have always thought you were nothing but a brute driven by primal emotions. But you have one weakness that like all living beings share," The crimson-skinned girl expresses before she prepares to do something drastic. "And that is fear!"
With that said, Aaron's current torturer has now suddenly begun to have a bad twist as a familiar sensation comes into play which causes him to scream out even louder. And it gets worse when he sees his deepest fears from all those years of his life, including one of his recent ones, envelop his vision.
The ever-occurring nightmare of his parents disappearing in front of him, leaving him alone with the ominous floating skull ship which glares down at him with its hollow eyes, right before it fires a powerful energy beam right at him. The next traumatizing fear of almost dying at the hands of the monster Doomsday. But despite those traumatizing events, none of those wasn't close to this next one. The anxiety of losing his adoptive mother again, including all his friends in the insurgents, at the hands of Superman or anyone that'll threaten them.
But Aaron is not gonna allow himself to succumb to those fears. Instead, he'll utilize it.
Raven's delighted smile is soon replaced with shock as her opponent's agonizing scream slowly changes to a deep snarl before his eyes snap open to glare at her. "What…impossible," She shockingly expresses what she is witnessing in front of her. He's not struck with fright or dismay as she thought he would be, instead, he's somehow harnessing his fear as no other has done before.
Not long after, Aaron's whole body is sharply enveloped in green energy before his resistance against his dark restraints suddenly increases. Raven attempts to boost her attack as well, but all it accomplishes is only to further enrage the trapped Gardian in his effort to break free.
"Impossible…no," Aaron growls through his teeth before he begins budging. "I…learned…a long time ago…that Fear…isn't my weakness," Soon enough, his surrounding green energy greatly intensifies, giving his arms slightly more movement as he positions them to his chest. "Fear….is. My. STRENGTH!!" with that Aaron vastly thrust his arms out.
Boom
The dark barrier completely erupts from within, creating a small shockwave that pushes Raven back. And she had no time to react when the freed Aaron instantly rushes in on her to counterattack. He delivers an enhanced punch, striking Raven's face, and follows it up with another punch. And shortly, Aaron finishes with a strong kick to her abdomen that sends the demonic hybrid tumbling to the ground.
Raven painfully groans as she distortedly herself up from the ground to see the Gardian Warrior walking toward her. Ans she couldn't react in time when she is grabbed by the throat as he forces her to look her in the green glowing eyes. "You feel our pain…," he begins saying, reciting the words that Raven said to him on their last encounter as he reenergizes his arm in green energy. "Not yet!"
Raven could look in horror for a second before Aaron commences his assault. He pummels the demon hybrid hard with each blow to her face and abdomen while Raven proceeds to scream out in pain.
But as the Gardian continues his assault, the red jewel on Raven's forehead cracks due to the sheer blows it receives from the unaware Aaron.
But it didn't go unnoticed by Raven. "NO! STOP!" She screams out, almost pleading as she feels the jewel getting weaker and weaker by the second from the constant punches. "YOU'LL DESTROY HIM!!" But despite her desperate pleas, Aaron doesn't heed them as he delivers one final enhanced strike sorceress's center forehead face.
Crack
That final strike knocks the red-shard gem right off Raven's forehead as she falls to the floor.
Glaring at the downed half-demonic opponent for a few seconds, Aaron scoffs. "Hope you understand their pain now," he virtually says as the young Gardian ceases his green energy before he turns around to retrieve his Omni-blade and leave the place.
But only to stop as he hears movements behind him. Letting out an annoyed sigh, he turns around to see her on her knees, clutching the red shard. "Don't make this harder on yourself, Raven. Stay down,"
Ignoring his warning, Raven silently looks down at the visibly cracked shard which strangely lights out for a second which makes her look alarming. "No…you can't," Raven whispers unusually to the red shard. "You still haven't recovered half of your strength yet," but her appeal only seems to make the shard once again light up even more brightness before the crack spreads further.
And that didn't go unnoticed by the Gardian, who manage to retrieve his Omni-Blade. "Who is she talking to?" he mutters to himself as he now wearily watches the strange conservation between the crimson-skinned girl and the crimson gem.
"I understand…" Aaron hears Raven's voice as he looks up to see her surprisingly glaring at him with not two red glowing eyes but four of them before being enveloped in a deep red aura.
Looking directly at the demonic sorceress and the shard in question as he slowly moves in, Aaron's senses pick up something that makes him have a shocked look. Whatever he's sensing from within her, it's fortunately weak. But the concern is the rising potency, not to mention this growing evil that occurs within her as well, The same pure evil he felt the moment Raven made herself comprehensible to him. And it's somehow connected to the shard.
"Hehehehe…"
Aaron's analytics is suddenly halted when he hears another voice, one that is much darker than anything he thought it would be. "What…" he whispers as he looks at the glowing shard which soon begins to levitate out of Raven's hand, positioning itself on the center ground of the temple. "What is-"
Crack
Aaron's attempt to demand is cut off when the red shard unexpectedly shatters, producing a small shockwave that slightly pushes the Gardian back. Soon enough, hellish flames erupt out of the destroyed gem, which soon begin to take form.
And what Aaron sees in front of him is something he did not expect when coming to Themyscira. Glaring down at the young warrior is a dark shadow-like entity with four demonic eyes that is similar to Raven's own but eviler.
Aaron has a look of sheer surprise at this new development. But what's even more surprising is when his enhanced hearing picks up Raven's voice when she spoke up.
"Lord Trigon…" she says as the red-skinned woman looks up at the dark being in front of her. "Father. Your new vessel awaits your arrival,"
Narrowing his eyes, Aaron points his sword toward the demonic entity. So that's the evil he's been sensing this whole time, it was a demon. And what did she mean by vessel?
The dark being known as Trigon lets out a sinister chuckle. "Yes indeed, my daughter," he expresses as he looks down at the surprised Gardian with great interest. "I now see why the Kryptonian would resort to such actions against the world in fearful spite. The tremendous power I feel within you boy is astonishing," he lets out a malicious grin. "And when I commandeer you, it will soon be mine," as the demonic entity made his intentions known, he makes a mean dash toward Aaron.
But the Gardian warrior easily sees this and jumps over the demon lord to avoid his assault. Landing on his feet, Aaron turns and glares at Trigon. "Yeah, like I'm gonna let some low parasitic demon 'commandeer me' when I'm needed elsewhere," he mocks sarcastically, which greatly incenses the once great demon lord by that insult.
"Insulant little-"
But Aaron interrupts his diatribe with a firm quick statement. "And I've already wasted enough time as it is. So I'll make this quick and simple,"
"A mutual feeling,"
Hearing Raven's sudden voice right behind him causes Aaron's eyes to widen in surprise as he forgot about her due to his quick adversary changing. And without any warning, the demonic aura around Raven's entire being forms a large raven-like entity before it flies in the air and lets out a loud cawing sound.
"What the hell?!" Aaron shockingly exclaims at the sight of the bird. But his current reaction would be his letdown as he fails to react in time when the dark crimson bird flies toward him at high speed. "Shit!" he barely had time to bring his Omni-blade up before he is fully ensnared within the raven's enormous dark wings.
Despite even using her soul form to trap the Gardian, Raven stressfully grunts in her effort to hold him as she feels his intense struggle inside her grasp. Her father needs to act now. "Father, quickly, do it now!"
"With pleasure," Trigon lets out before he once again dashes at the trapped Aaron, swallowing him entirely in pitch darkness and integrating himself with the crimson raven as well.
Aaron screams out in agony as he feels like his entire being itself is being pierced from the outside as he intensifies his effort to free himself. And seeing his prolonged vague struggle brings delight to the demonic father and daughter duo.
"Yes, feel Trigon's wrath upon you!" Raven enjoyably exclaims as said demon lord continues to engulf the screaming Gardian.
"Yes, You will be the instrument to my restoration!" Trigon arrogantly expresses as he melds his very being into his new host. "And soon, all shall tremble before Trigon The Ravager!" it looks to be that victory would soon be within the once-demon lord's grasp after so long. And with his new vessel, no one will stop him, not even Superman.
But the father and daughter duo are so blinded by their egotisms that Trigon's four eyes suddenly squint out before he groans out from an unknown discomfort he surprisingly feels for the next few seconds.
"Father? What is wrong?" Raven asks in both confusion and concern as she sees her father's current actions before she also notices a small glow being emitted from within the enclosed dark crimson-energized raven. "Father, are you-" Trigon suddenly screams out as the discomfort feeling soon turns to great pain, catching Raven completely off guard before she too feels what he's feeling as she similarly screams as well.
Before long, the white glowing tip of a familiar blade unexplainably pierces out of Trigon's shadowy chest. And no soon after, the blade makes a horizontal slash, creating a sizable gash that causes the shadowy demon lord to painfully cry out even more.
"FATHER!!" Raven cries in both pain and horror.
And soon enough, Aaron, who is enveloped in his green aura, jumps out of his dark imprisonment and lands on his feet. He shakes his head to remove any distortions he had from almost being possessed.
"That was too close for comfort," He mutters before he turns to see his Omni-blade continues to greatly emit the white glow like before.
It seems that there's more to the Osmosian metal alloy than he began to realize. His sword virtually absorbed the demonic energy from both father and daughter, then it converted, or cleansed, the intense evil essence itself entirely until all that was left is the pure light of equal quality to its opposite. Yet despite realizing this, it still left the young Gardian with more questions.
How could it do that? Was it because of the metaphysical origin, the unique metal also acts as a countermeasure to that specific magic? What else can the osmosian alloy do when it absorbs other types of magic?
"BOY!!!"
But those questions will have to wait for another time as Aaron turns around and sees both Trigon and Raven's who seen on their knees, painfully groaning as visible white cracks are seen on both their corrupted and soul forms. And seeing the enraged look on the demon lord's face, it was about to get ugly.
"I warned you two to stay down," Aaron growls as he slowly makes his way toward the father and daughter duo with his white energized sword in front of him. "Now I'm done showing you guys anymore mercy,"
And from that remark, rage once again blinds Trigon. "YOU WRETCHED INSIGNIFICANT CHILD!!" he roars out before he makes a blinded rush toward the approaching Gardian.
"FATHER NO!" Raven screams out for her father before she unleashes her soul-self, which forms into her namesake once again in a desperate attempt to intercede the two.
Seeing their combined assault only prompts the green-energized Aaron to bring his white-energized Omni-blade forward. Once within range, Aaron unleashes a strong blast of pure white light, significantly blowing both demoniacal beings back while causing them to painfully scream out as more white cracks occur in their spirit forms.
Not letting up, Aaron makes a surprising launch toward Raven's astral form, he grabs the demonic bird by its throat before he slams it face-first, pinning it to the ground. Gripping his sword, Aaron channels the remaining dark-turned holy white energy in his Omni-blade before he raises it above the corrupted spirit bird.
As if she feels the presence of the holy energy from the sword, Raven couldn't do anything but hold her head, continuously groaning in pain.
"NO!!" Trigon roars out in sheer panic as he makes a desperate dash toward the Gardian to stop him from what he intends to do without knowing the consequences. But the corrupted form demon lord would only be a second late when he sees Aaron clasps his Gardian weapon with both hands.
"HRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"
With his signature roar, Aaron unhesitantly drives the blade down, impaling the corrupted bird-formed soul in the chest. This results in a bright flash of white light that engulfs the entire temple and which includes both the demonic father and daughter as well.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH…"
But in Trigon's case, all that made him do is let out one last agonizing scream before his entire corrupted being is exterminated by the white pure energy.
Raven on the other hand also similarly screams out as well while her soul self takes on an identical white color, signifying its new form of being. And Before long, the white raven-like entity makes a sharp return back into its owner's body. Raven lets out one final painful scream as her entire crimson-skinned body cracks up in white energy and her four demonic red eyes soon revert to two with white eyes.
A greatly surprised Aaron couldn't do anything but continue to watch this unfortunate event occur in front of him. Frankly, he can feel Raven's pain and anguish when he made his final move against her and her father. But as soon as Trigon's presence has been evaporated, the evil that Aaron has been feeling from his daughter starts to disappear as well.
(Ending Ron Nardin: The Devil)
Finishing her intense scream, Raven slowly collapses to the ground, unmoving for the next few seconds as the white cracks fade away along with her crimson skin, revealing it to be light grayish skin. But the next surprise comes unexplanatory when her body once again begins to regress to that of a ten-year-old which is around Robin's age if Aaron is not mistaken.
The now ten-year-old Raven lets out a low groaning sound. she shakily attempts to stand back up but fails in doing so. And She would've hit the ground if it wasn't for a pair of warm arms to catch her. Curious as to who caught her, Raven groggily looks up in surprise to see Aaron, looking back at her not with a hatred look but a concerned look.
"Don't worry," Aaron gently tries to assure the little girl as he carries her to a nearby settee. "He won't come for you anymore,"
Raven looked ready to speak out again but only not due to her current fatigue. Being cleansed of all that evil within her sure can be truly exhausting, especially with how it was almost burned out of her.
Once he secured Raven in a safe spot, Aaron intends now to refocus back on his current objective of being here on Themyscira in the first place.
As the Gardian makes his next movement of steps to the exit, the de-aged and confused Raven barely watches him.
Why would he spare her? After everything she had done to him recently, not to mention the other horrible things she had done in her alliance with Superman and Trigon. There wouldn't be any reason to show mercy to her in any way. So why would he spare her?
Unfortunately, the heavy somnolence takes its toll on her as Raven drifts to unconsciousness.
(-Themyscira Ports Five Minutes Later-)
Hundreds of Amazonian Warriors are seen gathering at the docks of Themyscira, making final preparation for their departure for their long journey ahead of them to the outside world.
"Haste my sisters!" Wonder Woman orders the Amazon to work faster on loading their supplies on the docked ship. "We cast off within the hour!" she then turns to another pair of Amazon soldiers. "Take that to the Athena. Sloop fifty-one. After drop off, meet up at the south pier. Mara's team needs help with an inter-ship weapons transfer. Move!"
And with that decree made by the new Queen, The Amazons unhesitantly oblige her injunction.
Their sheer motivation to quickly depart as soon as they can is truly an amazement to see. And it was all thanks to their new Queen who had easily convinced them of this for years by exploiting their inner dark thoughts and emotions on the subject of 'saving' man's world.
It was unfortunate that Hippolyta could not see it that way.
"Diana!" speaking of Hippolyta, Wonder Woman and the entire female warrior army ceases their progress when they look in surprise to see the former Amazon Queen, mounted on a horse as she makes her way to the docks to confront her daughter. "You must cease this gathering, now! The Amazons will not abet Superman's madness!"
The Amazons are greatly taken by surprise by their former queen's courageousness to confront them alone, let alone continue to speak out her objections to this foray. But of course, this only annoys their new Queen. "You no longer have any sway here, mother! I am now in command!"
Dismounting herself from her horse, Hippolyta sadly glares at her daughter. "It deeply pains me to see you have stained your honor, Diana. But I will not allow you to stain our Amazon's honor. We must temper the aggression of man, not enable it!"
"Do not speak to me about honor, mother!" Diana angrily enunciates which catches her supporters off guard by her sudden outburst. "Unlike you, I have experienced firsthand the aggression of man and Superman showed me the truth. They cannot be tampered with, only quelled,"
"By slaughtering the innocent?" The former queen questions incredulity. "You would give all this up for him?" Their code of honor, their paradise, and most importantly, their lives? Her daughter would sacrifice all of that for a man?
"If it means steeling his hold on the world from destruction, then so be it," Wonder Woman unhesitantly corroborates. Hippolyta can hear harsh coldness in her daughter's voice when she declares it, confirming the one unfortunate thought that she has feared to accept.
Diana, her sun and star, has been officially corrupted by Man's world.
With that confirmation answered, Hippolyta closes her eyes for a second, unaware of a tear that slides down her face. "I see…" she softly says as her eyes snapped open, catching the Amazon army off guard by this as they see her expression hardens as if she found new resolves. And they are more surprised when Hippolyta reaches for her cloak and yanks it, revealing her true attire from within.
Wonder Woman, along with a majority of her Sisters, instantly recognized it to be her mother's old battle armor, which is almost similar to her own. But Hippolyta has more gold and brown color scheme than her daughter's red and blue.
The top armor reaches both her neck and shoulders and a battle skirt that reaches past her waist. And her weapons of choice are a one-handed sword and a gold shield, both strapped to her back along with golden bracelets on her wrists. But the greater part of this armor that separates from Wonder Woman's own is the golden eagle embedded on her breastplate, representing everything that makes an Amazon, truth, wisdom, and freedom.
"If you wish to leave to man's world," Hippolyta determinedly begins to say as she draws out both her sword and shield. "You will have to get past me to do it!"
Seeing her mother's continuous defiance against her, Wonder Woman obliges that as an unfortunate threat and similarly draws out her sword and shield. "Then so be it,"
(Entering Tyler Bates: God Of War OST: Warrior's Truth)
With that said, both mother and daughter of the Amazons make a quick dash toward each other at high speeds before their one-handed swords clash with one another. withdrawing their weapons, Both royal Amazons come in clashing again, each sword strike becoming more fierce than the last but neither female combatant shows any signs of conceding.
With a final clash, Hippolyta quickly maneuvers around her daughter's sword strike before she delivers a strong kick to Diana's abdomen, pushing her back. Hippolyta quickly rushes in to deliver a horizontal swing but only for Wonder Woman to counter it with her sword before she quickly uses her shield to bash Hippolyta in the head, distorting her back, and leaving her open for Diana to pursue with another sword strike, aiming at her mother.
But the older experienced Amazon quickly regains her stance and manages to block the sword slash with her shield before she thrust her sword forward, prompting Wonder Woman to similarly block it with her shield. And soon enough, both Amazons push each other back once again.
The onlookers of the female warrior army couldn't help but feel such tension being emitted in the area. At first, They believed this fight was about retaining or regaining their royal status as Queen of Themyscira But it doesn't seem that way at all. It's more of a battle of the idea of how to truly protect Man's world and to see which is right, only one must fall.
Regaining their posture, Hippolyta and Diana glare at one another for a few seconds before they begin circling each other silently until Wonder Woman speaks out. "I wish to know something, mother. What has brought you to have such resolves to hinder our duties to man's world?"
Hearing her daughter's upfront question, Hippolyta helps explain it. "Because These 'duties' you've implied hold no benefits to protect man's world but death, pain, and misery upon us all," the blonde Amazon grips her weapons. "And it's all just to appease one man,"
Wonder Woman scowls at that accusations. "At least he's not a coward who turned his back on his obligations,"
let out their war cry before they charge at each other again at high speed with both of their respective shields, slamming into each other. Now it turns into a battle of strength as both Amazon warriors proceed to push against one another to gain the upper hand.
"Perhaps your right," Hippolyta openly confesses of the accusations made by her Daughter as they continue to push against one another. "I have turned my back on the outside world, that is my burden to bear," And she would now always carry it with her to her grave. "However, it is no justification for the chaos you and Superman wish to cause upon the world,"
"It is not chaos we wish upon the world, mother," Diana angrily says as she begins to now use her actual strength to easily push Hippolyta back, ultimately defeating the push struggle. "We are saving it by doing what is necessary!" like what she is about to do right now.
No longer wishing to hold back, Wonder Woman rushes ahead to attack again Hippolyta at a surprising speed. But despite the surprised expression on Hippolyta's face, the much more veteran Amazon manages to jump out of the way in time to avoid a shield slam that left the ground largely cracked from the impact.
Landing on her feet, Hippolyta quickly lunges at Diana to counterstrike from the side. Easily Seeing this, Wonder Woman blocks the sword struck with her own. "And I will not allow you to intervene anymore!" with those words said, Diana, unhesitantly headbutt her mother.
Crack
Hippolyta badly grunts, leaving her distorted from the strong blow that leaves her open for the following attack. Wonder woman drives her sword through her mother's leg which causes her now to painfully shout out before Diana severally elbow strikes Hippolyta in the face, effectively dropping her weapons as she is knocked over to the ground.
(Ending Tyler Bates: God Of War OST: Warrior's Truth)
Silence now fills the entire dock area as the Amazon army just watched the battle being concluded. But most of the Amazons are in deep shock at how the battle had ended. Diana would always hold back much of her strength whenever she wishes to spar with anyone, to make the fight evenly fair for both sides. But they've never seen Diana so ruthless with anyone, even against her mother of all people. It didn't seem right at all.
"It truly didn't have to be this way, mother," Wonder Woman divulges to the former queen, who could only look up from the position she is in. "If you have just given me your support in our endeavor, we could've united our sisters together in this war,"
Hippolyta grits through the pain as she manages to get on her knees before she looks at her daughter. "You knew I would never allow this," she says before she then turns her gaze at the female army. "And even now, I still would not allow even one of our sisters to take the fall of being subjected to one man's despicable endeavors to destroy the world,"
From hearing their former Queen's immutable response, few of the amazons seem to have been moved. They see how Hippolyta is greatly determined to keep them from this path, It's rather honorable and courageous to do. And despite the blonde Amazon's recent injury, most of them can see that Hippolyta doesn't look ready to give up on the matter anytime soon.
Wonder Woman shakes in irritation before she draws out her sword. "Then you leave me no choice," Diana then slowly begins to make her way toward her mother. "But too much is at stake right now to allow those who are weak-willed to stand in our way the peace and order Superman dedicated his life to maintain," Wonder Woman then narrow her eyes at her. "That includes even yourself, mother,"
Hippolyta doesn't flinch at the sight of her death being near, even as she sees her daughter raises her sword, ready to cut her down to end her life.
Clang
But only for Wonder Woman, along with Hippolyta and the other Amazon, to have a look of shock when an unfamiliar gold and silver great sword with a sun emblem for a guard suddenly appears and obstructs her sword's intended target. But what's even more shocking to them is the green hue radiating off the silver edges which follows a similarly energized male wielder who is only familiar to the mother and daughter of the Amazons.
"You…?!" Wonder Woman's words turn from shock to anger as she now glares at the one person she never expects to see here on Themyscira, alive.
Aaron growls as he glares right back at Diana for a few seconds before he swings his Omni-Blade forward which pushes the Amazon back, providing a safe distance for him and Hippolyta.
"Sorry, I'm a bit late," Aaron says to the injured blonde Amazon, apologizing for his close arrival timing. "Are you alright?"
Seeing his deep concern for her well-being, Hippolyta nods. "It is not my first injury, nor will it be the last," she firmly answers as she easily stands back on her feet. And Aaron silently accepts that when he glimpses at Hippolyta's wound that slowly heals itself.
One of the young Gardian's senses suddenly picks up considerable movements near him which result in him looking up and finding himself surrounded by the Amazon army with weapons drawn out as they glare at the male intruder.
Attempting to cease their hostility towards the lone Gardian male, Hippolyta steps in. "No!" she calls out to them. "I beg you, sisters, stand down and heed my words!"
"I believe you've spoken enough with this new act of betrayal. And you falsely accused me of staining our honor," Diana harshly says as she turns to her sisters. "When it is you who has brought the central crisis to man's world to our island,"
Hippolyta realizes what Wonder Woman is doing. She is stoking their sisters' hostility toward men directly her, attempting to persuade them of her being the actual traitor by allowing a male entry to their home. And it seems to be working as the ones who began to doubt this path soon vanish and are ready to aid their new queen in the threat in front of them.
But despite this new situation, Aaron seems more focused on Amazon that's dictating them to do this. "If by central crisis, you mean being the one that's keeping a power-crazed manic you call a boss from destroying the world? Then yeah," he'll gladly take full credit for doing that, lady. "And just what I'm gonna do here in freeing the Amazons from their newly deranged Queen,"
The mention of said female warriors is taken back by the last made declaration by their enemy. Wonder Woman, however, glares at the Gardian threateningly from the rather insulting remarks made about herself and Superman, but she kept her composure. "I don't know how you ever managed to find this place but it seems there is more to you than I first believed,"
Diana's statement is correct by just looking at Aaron's current posture. She can tell that he has changed a lot since their last encounter, he's much stronger now. That means that Diana must stop his progress here before he becomes even more of a threat now by any means necessary.
(Entering Cris Velasco: God Of War OST: Glory Of Sparta(Combat Version))
With that in mind, the demigod amazon begins to slowly make her approach toward the Gardian warrior. And seeing her motion, Aaron follows through as well with his movement forward.
"You managed to prolong your luck to defeat us, child," Wonder Woman begins to say as she draws out her sword and shield, which Aaron soon follows by drawing out his sword as well. "But your interference in our duties to save man's world will end here,"
"What do you care about saving people when you're the one ready to send your own to massacre millions in the name of your insane boss?!" Aaron snarls as he energizes his blade with his green energy. Soon both Gardian and Amazon Warriors' pace quickens to higher speed levels. "I'm gonna take you guys down!"
"You're welcome to try!" Wonder Woman fiercely yells out as well when Aaron reels his sword back while Diana raises her shield to intercept.
Boom
And without restraints and hesitations on both sides, their sword and shield collide in unison which produces a shockwave strong enough to push both Hippolyta and the surrounded Amazon army away.
Both the newly Gardian King and Amazon Queen warriors persist to utilize their respective weapons to press into each other with an almost unrelenting force that cracks the ground beneath them while their hardened glares don't take a second off one another.
With Aaron using both hands in his attack and Wonder Woman with one for defense, Diana utilizes her shield block to push the Gardian back from her, distorting him enough to allow her to lunge at him and use her free arm to conduct a quick sword strike. Seeing this incoming attack, Aaron manages to quickly vault to the right side of the port to avoid Diana's assault.
Not letting up on her effort, Wonder Woman pursues the young Gardian with another sword strike. Aaron growls in anger from that before his green energy enhances himself. Aaron blocks Wonder Woman's sword strike with his own before they skid back from each other. And only a second passes before both Warriors sprint toward each other to clash.
Boom
Aaron and Wonder Woman's sword clash once again along with a small shockwave to arise as well. This soon has both combatants enter a flurry of sword strikes and shield blockings, each one slamming against one other with such intensity that the continuous shockwaves, resulting from these fierce collisions, slowly grow.
And this would greatly surprise the new Amazonian Queen as she glares at Aaron, who similarly does the same to her.
Though when Wonder Woman admitted earlier in regards to Aaron's new level of strength, she never anticipated this new development to arise. She is considered a seasoned warrior, fighting against the strongest foes of men and gods alike in this world. And yet, this young adversary in front of her is somehow managing to keep up with skills that are equal to hers. But Wonder Woman has never confronted Aaron bearing a sword like this one before. So he shouldn't have had this much aptitude in using such a sword for a short time.
And yet, here Aaron is, using his sword like it's almost natural for him. It must be a Gardian trait that has been passed down to him from the day of his birth. If that's the case, then Aaron has become even more of a threat to the Regime than before, and it makes all the more reason for Wonder Woman to end him here before it's too late.
Boom
Aaron utilizes his Omni-blade to strike against another of Wonder Woman's incoming sword slashes, which again results in another shockwave forming before she maneuvers her shield to bash him but only to also be detected by the Gardian's glowing green eyes as he acts swiftly in bringing his large sword to block it.
Now it's a matter of who topples who in brawn strength.
"Tell me the truth, child," Wonder Woman suddenly grunts out as she and Aaron continue to push against one another. "Do you honestly believe you can manage to defeat Kal?"
"That's right!" Aaron firmly answers without any shred of hesitation which truly surprises Wonder Woman with his sheer determined response.
Regardless of that, the new Amazon Queen easily hardens her resolve before she continues. "Then you truly are a blind fool if you even consider so. We still have every aspect that will fight for his cause," Superman's regime has the advantage in both quality and quantity while Batman's insurgency severely lacks those odds put against them. "They will give their very lives to the cause of restoring order that you and the insurgents have opposed for so long. You cannot possibly believe that you can defeat those heavy odds against you,"
Aside from Batman and his insurgents, there wasn't anyone else that Wonder Woman met or believed could be that dedicated to opposing them this much. That was until now with this boy in front of her.
Aaron growls as more of his green energy sparks out of him. "I don't give a damn how strong the odds are against me. I don't care how many of you Regime people try to twist your insane ideas for creating peace," He then glares directly into the Amazon's eyes. It is sooner than Wonder Woman realizes that she is suddenly being overwhelmed by Aaron's new strength until he slams her into a stone wall of a small supply building. "I'm gonna beat you all, every last one of you. I'll take down anyone who tries to make the mistake of dictating the people of this planet!"
Wonder Woman angrily grits her teeth before she regains her ground footing. "How would you know of dictatorship?" she questions before The Amazon manages to kick Aaron in the chest, pushing him away. "You speak on a subject you know nothing about,"
Standing back up, Aaron questingly glares at Diana before scoffing. "And I suppose you guys do?" he asks with a hint of sarcasm in his voice which irritates Wonder Woman before responding.
"You have no idea what true oppression is," she begins saying to the supposed guileless alien child. "We are on the right on history. We made the world safe, we became the true ideal messengers for peace and order-"
"Can you even hear what you're saying right now?!" Aaron angrily shouts out, interrupting the monologue of what Hippolyta's daughter says. Every time he hears these regime people trying to heavily justify what they're doing as necessary for peace only infuriates him even further.
Seeing his sudden outburst, Wonder Woman only scowls at him. "Of course, I don't expect a child to understand our motives."
"Your right on that," Aaron finally concedes out loud for all surrounding Amazons to hear and they are surprised when he makes a soft glance at them. He also glances at a similarly expressed Hippolyta as well before he turns his now hardened glare at her daughter. "I don't understand your motives and I never will. Because I can't imagine what kind of peace demands you to betray your mother and sacrifice the ideals of what it means to be an Amazon!"
From hearing Aaron's small speech, shock and stun resurface among the amazonian army. Some even looked at the combatant male in surprise at his sheer dedication to protecting not just their lives but to what they stand for. He's even willing to risk his life to keep them from departing under Wonder Woman's leadership.
But those words made by the Gardian cause Wonder Woman's scowl to deepen before she retaliates by dashing toward Aaron, who similarly does the same to her as well until their swords collide, resuming their barrage of strikes against one another.
"You wish to lecture me?!" Wonder Woman growls as she and Aaron continue their battle. "On the meaning of being an Amazon?!"
"Oh, I'm not looking to lecture you! But what I am looking for is to depose you!" Aaron determinedly exclaims before he makes another strong swing at the Amazon, who responds with her own.
It seems to have affected some members of the amazon army as they start to look at Hippolyta, who looks at them with a look that shows she agrees with the words spoken about the boy's intentions.

(Entering Patrick Doyle: Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes OST: Caesar Says No)
Seeing their loyalty to her beginning to waver significantly, Wonder Woman begins to become enraged. She cannot allow this to go further. "Enough of your prattling!" The new Amazon Queen angrily shouts before she parries Aaron's sword strike with her shield, leaving the surprised Gardian completely open which Wonder Woman takes full advantage of with her next attack.
Switching her sword for her golden rope, Wonder Woman quickly whips her Lasso of Truth around Aaron's neck, who could only gag out from the tight restraint. Now within her grasp, Wonder Woman wraps her leg around the other end of her lasso before making a strong yank, effectively pulling Aaron off the ground and heading toward her. And he is soon met with an incoming shield directly to his head that has him hit the ground hard.
"You have interfered in our path for the last time!"
Aaron groans from the severe injury before his blurry vision quickly recedes to normal to catch a glimpse of two strong knees falling directly to his abdomen area.
Crack
The young Gardian painfully screams out as the double knee strike splinters the floor beneath him before he is forcefully silent when the lasso around his neck tightens, Not to mention the new amazon queen herself being on top of him, pinning his body down with her own. But despite these dire circumstances, Aaron vigorously commences to rid himself of them all.
Hippolyta and the Amazons continue to watch the spectacle between the two combatants. The ongoing battle has now reached a stalemate and tensions seem to have arisen among the female warriors. And it only further intensifies as the lasso of truth now comes to be the thing to end the dispute once and for all.
Seeing his impractical endeavor, Wonder Woman greatly scowls again as she further tightens the gold rope around the Gardian's neck and pushes back with her shield. And this only stimulates him to push harder.
"Still, you wish to defy us?!" The Amazon spats as she is surprised by this boy's strong will to resist the forced temptation to speak the truth even as his green energy materializes out of him as if to enhance it. "Regardless of your effort, It is practically useless to evade the truth for as long as the Lasso of Hestia remains bound to you.
The burning sensation of the gold rope's namesake around his neck busily intensifies, efficiently counteracting the Gardian's own will.
Before long, Aaron, who closes his eyes shut, manages to grab onto the gold rope with one hand as he can practically feel his resolve beginning to weaken. But regardless of the lasso's strong influence, a teeth-gritting Aaron surprisingly continues to remain in defiance as he vigorously shakes his head and persists in his endeavor to free himself.
But this has Wonder Woman grow even more impatient. "I told you it is useless!" The new Amazon queen rashly shouts as she harshly grabs her captive Gardian by his spiky hair to force him still while his eyes remain closed. Enough of this! "You will heed my voice, child! And by my command as Diana, Queen of Themyscira, I compel you to submit defeat!"
Hearing these compelling commands has the gritting Aaron cease his grunting sound and his eyes remain shut. He feels the overwhelming influence of the magic lasso start to take its toll on him. But He can't give up. He won't give up. All this talk about how this golden laced rope around his neck is supposed to make you speak the truth and nothing but the truth. But what is the truth, his or hers? Who is it that determines to be the truth?
Just thinking about it only infuriates the young Gardian. No one decides the truth for him and he is sure as hell not gonna let anyone force their truth on him. And if this truth is compelling him to surrender to tyrants like Superman and others like him, then it is a lie.
He is going to prove it, Right here and now with his green energized eyes finally snapping open with new resolves as he glares at Diana with great intensity.
"NO!"
When that one word is let out, everything is stopped. Hippolyta and the entire Amazon army are left completely flabbergasted. But none of them were as surprised as Wonder Woman was when that word was said directly toward hers. The enraged, irritating facial expression on her face is gone and soon replaced with an alarming and almost fearful one. It shouldn't be possible, should it? A mortal resisted the lasso of Hestia, defied the truth? It's impossible!
Seeing Wonder Woman's startled complexion prompts the green-energized Aaron to utilize this chance to escape by making a strong headbutt directly at her center face.
Crack
Diana painfully cries out as the surprised attack causes her to release her hold on her Gardian opponent before said opponent follows it up with a strong kick, effectively pushing her off of him.
And soon enough, Aaron slowly stands back on his feet as he removes the gold lasso from his neck and wraps it around his wrist. More of his natural green energy continuously pulses out of him, signifying his new strength, will, and resolve to what accepts is the truth, his truth. And one he wishes to share with the other amazons.
"No!" Aaron vigorously shouts out, which causes some of the female warriors to look awestruck as he gazes at them. "No! There is no way in any universe that I'll ever bow to anyone!" He then turns to retrieve his Omni-Blade as his excessive energy is absorbed into his glowing hue Omni-blade, which looks to have sharpened the bladed edges. "Especially to a dictator like Superman, who is so blinded by his dark passions, and wants nothing but total worldwide destruction by any means he deems justified as peace!"
All of the Amazons continue to remain in their struck stupefaction as they take the inception to listen to what this young male warrior has to say. But Hippolyta sees that her eyes are on his wrist, where the lasso remains tethered to him, and an actuality came to her. Aaron, this boy, didn't resist the lasso of truth's influences, no. But rather, he embraced it, reprimanded his mind of all doubts and lies, and channeled his very soul, mind, and will into one singular goal that Aaron believes to be his truth.
And now, he wants to share that truth with everyone around him.
"Let me ask you all something," Aaron continues to speak out as he turns his attention to Wonder Woman, who begins to slowly lift herself off the ground while holding her face. "Is this the Queen you all want? Another despot, who manipulated and abused all the things you stand for? And willing to throw away your lives without hesitation just to appease Superman's unhinged desires?" He then turned back to his female onlookers. "Because I don't believe you all do!"
He doesn't believe that most of them never wanted this. Because Aaron feels their emotions are beginning to change their perspective of what they must do. But there are some still conflicted with these new notions.
But the Gardian's senses also pick up Diana's energy signature and he turns back to see her fully standing up with both sword and shield in her hands. "How…" he hears the amazon growl out before she lifts her enraged face as her broken nose bleeding smears down, giving her an almost bloodlust look. "How dare you!" she bellows before she dashes towards the Gardian with every intent to annihilate him.
Seeing Wonder Woman's strong charge, Aaron quickly uses his Omni-blade to nearly deflects her severe sword strike but he ends up with a stab wound on his shoulder, causing him to painfully grunt before he turns it into an enraged growl.
"That's it!" Aaron snarls before he counters back by swinging his sword back at Diana, who similarly shouts out as it leaves a gash on her abdomen, causing her to drop her sword as she goes down on one knee.
And since Aaron received the lesser injury, it leads the Gardian to properly shift his glowing blade back toward Diana at surprising acceleration due to his emanating natural green energy, greatly enhancing his strength and speed as well. But seeing the attack, Wonder Woman manages to bring her shield up in time to block in time.
Crack
Upon impact, the intense momentum swing of the Osmosian alloy energized blade cuts into Wonder Woman's shield, greatly surprising her. Not letting up on his endeavor, Aaron proceeds to do another enhanced sword strike against the shield which again manages to crack Diana's shield further.
Soon enough, Aaron unleashes more additional strikes, each one stronger and more fierce than the last, against Wonder Woman which forces her to block each one. But in doing so, her shield becomes weaker by the second as chunks of it soon begin to break apart.
"By the gods…" Hippolyta expresses in great astonishment what she, similarly along with her Amazon sisters, continues to witness in front of them. This young warrior is forcing Diana back. And whatever unique metal is made into his sword is greatly effective, like it's adapting against the magic imbued into the shield, including the metal itself that is supposed to make it almost impenetrable.
Crack
Wonder Woman painfully shouts out as her now penetrable shield receives another strong blow from Aaron's enhanced sword which tears out another piece. "This cannot be!" a deeply grimaced Diana clamors out.
"Yeah?!" the Gardian warrior yells outs before he knocks the amazon's now broken shield out of her wrist, leaving her exposed to be vigorously knocked back to the ground with one enhanced swing by Aaron. "Well, better start believing it now. Now give up! You can't win!"
"Never!" Wonder Woman snarls, now becoming more ferocious than ever as she manages to stand back up. "I am an Amazon warrior born," she took this time to glare at everyone around her. From her sisters, her mother, and finally back at Aaron with great scorn. "If you wish to end this fight, then one of us must die!" She will never stop fighting.
Even when being outmatched by a strong opponent, Diana is a warrior who pledged her heart and soul to Superman and his cause. And she will give away her life for him with no hesitation to preserve his order on Earth.
Aaron continues to glare at Wonder Woman for a second before his senses suddenly pick up a feeling of anxiety from Hippolyta which has him glancing at her. Despite seeing her composure, he can easily see that she does not wish to lose her daughter. And most of all, Diana along with the rest of the regime needs to face their judgments.
"No," Aaron suddenly declares, which surprises the entire Amazon and even more when he sheaths his Omni-blade to his back.
Upon hearing his proclamation, Wonder Woman is greatly offended before questioning him. "No? What do you mean no? Are you not a hardened warrior like your people once were? Don't tell me that Batman has-"
"Oh, please," a scoffing Aaron interrupts the Demigod Amazon until he narrows his eyes at a glinting yellow lasso that's wrapped from his wrist and connected to Wonder Woman's waist before an idea forms in his head. "Batman has nothing to do with my choice," In fact, he along with his mother, Betty, and holographic father, Soran has put their trust in him to make the right choices on his own. "It's just you would want that, would you?"
"What do you mean?" Wonder Woman irritably demands.
Aaron lets out a chuckle before mockingly smirking at her before getting to his point. "I mean, you would rather die in battle with some of your dignity intact than see everything, Superman has built get destroyed when I beat him down so hard until he starts begging for mercy,"
Hippolyta is taken aback by what The Gardian is doing. Why try to rile up her Daughter? It would only make things worse for him to win his fight. But her confusion about his perplexing strategy would be understandably clear when she sees his eyes continue to make glances at the gleaming lasso. "I see…" she whispers.
"WHAT?!" the now enraged Wonder Woman cries out. "SUPERMAN WOULD NEVER KNEEL TO THE LIKES OF YOU!!"
Aaron can see that his plan is working. All it needs is just a little more push. "I say otherwise," he continues to taunt the unsettling Queen before going further with a gesture to his surroundings. "After all, this whole plan to 'save' the world is nothing but a bad joke. In reality, it's just him throwing a worldwide temper tantrum because he can't handle the fact that there is someone out there who can challenge his unrivaled power, Someone who can truly make him feel helpless again," And soon Aaron makes one final push to drive his Amazon opponent beyond her breaking point with a wide arrogant smirk. "Someone like me,"
The moment she hears and sees her Gardian opponent's words and pretentious expression, her vision goes red. The training that assisted her in many battles is gone, somehow replaced with nothing but a blinding rage with only one purpose to tear him apart limb from limb as a fitting punishment for his harsh insults towards herself and Superman.
Letting out a rageful roar, Wonder Woman makes a strong lunge toward Aaron, who doesn't bother moving out of the way. "Come on!" he growls before His natural green energy shoots out, greatly sharpening his physique before he takes a defensive stance.
With her great momentum built up from her lunge, Wonder Woman makes a direct tackle right at the motionless Gardian to the ground. But thanks to his natural ability, Aaron's enhanced speed, and reflexes manage to ensnare Zeus's enraged Daughter in his arms tightly, enabling him to bring her down with him as well.
Now here comes the deceptive part. Maneuvering his entire body, Aaron manages to roll backward which helps him quickly get back to his feet within a second just before he gives Wonder Woman a strong counter punch to the face, forcing her back to the ground, temporarily distorted. Using this opening chance, Aaron quickly proceeds to snatch the entire lasso at hand before she can recover.
Looking at the entire golden rope in his hand, Aaron's mind recalls this lasso that was used against him before. And not just him, but his mother as well. And that would angrily motivate the Gardian enough to inflict this same treatment on the one who imposed it.
Just as Wonder Woman could gain her footing, her neck is surprisingly ensnared tightly by her lasso of truth which soon causes her to desperately gasp. "Tell me, Wonder Woman…" Aaron stormily grits out as he continues to use her golden lasso to cut out her oxygen. "How does it feel to have a rope around your neck?!"
Despite being unable to speak, the lasso nonetheless influences Wonder Woman to tell the truth. "It's…unpleasant…" she manages to wheeze out as she continues to desperately struggle against her bondage.
But Aaron can hear her answer. "It's Unpleasant," he recites the Amazon's words before he angrily looks at her while unaware of wrapping his wrists around the magical lasso. "You wanna know what's more unpleasant?"
As he begins his speech, the young Gardian commences tying Diana's arms together with the extra length of the lasso. "It was how you used this same lasso to seize my mother by her neck and handed her over to Superman, who tortured her for information before locking her in a dark confined cell. The same man that dispatched his Doomsday monster to kill me, regardless of the innocent people standing in the way,"
Now with both of Wonder Woman's arms secured, Aaron proceeds to grab the Amazon by her shoulders. "And worst, he ruthlessly murdered one of my closest friends because he opposed his ideals of bringing peace," before long, Aaron draws in more green energy before he pulls the arm-bound Amazon, who continues to resist his hold, over his shoulder.
"Those were the more unpleasant ones," Aaron snarls before he makes a mighty leap into the air. "AND I WILL NEVER FORGIVE ANY OF YOU FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!" with his final declaration said loud and clear, Aaron delivers Wonder Woman one definitive bullet dive slam to the ground.
Crack
Boom
The ground impact results in a strong shockwave that's enough to cause the entire docks to violently shake. Firming their feet on the ground from the strong quake, Hippolyta and the other Amazons were forced to quickly cover their faces when smokes of debris soon enveloped their surrounding area.
Soon enough, the rising smoke and quakes begin to settle down. The debris smoke shortly starts to evaporate which enables the female onlookers to now look at the center cause of that event. And they are completely shocked by what they see in front of them.
Right there in the center of the docks is their new Amazon queen, Diana Prince or Wonder Woman is seen, laying in a human size crater unconscious and severely beaten. Next to the fallen Amazon Queen is the young Gardian King, standing over her. His green energy continuously pulses out of him like it's a signification of his victory over his opponent until the aura fades away. All while the lasso of truth remains wrapped in his wrists.
(Ending Patrick Doyle: Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes OST: Caesar Says No)
"She's alive," Aaron suddenly speaks up to assure the approaching Hippolyta of the worries he can feel from her while not taking his eyes off of Wonder Woman. "But She'll probably be out for the rest of the day,"
"Yes…" The blonde Amazon warily says in agreement as she turns her gaze to her unconscious daughter before closing her eyes in slight remorse. "It was…inevitable to avoid this conflict. Diana has chosen her path,"
"So, what now?"
With his question of what to do with her sisters, Hippolyta firmly addresses her intention. "Now. It is time to rebuild what has been destroyed,"
Aaron accordingly nods before he turns his gaze at the rest of the Amazons, who continue to remain silent throughout the entire outcome. They witnessed everything and he can tell that they are now questioning their loyalty. Thanks to his empath, he can feel their confusion and their anxiety about the situation now.
"They don't know who to trust anymore," The Gardian King enunciates in revelations. "How are we gonna convince them?"
Hippolyta readily answers by taking a piece of the Lasso of truth to wrap it around one of her wrists. "Simple, I speak the truth,"
With that said, The former queen confidently approaches her sisters. "Sisters! I appeal to you all with dire confessions," Hippolyta openly calls out to her sisters to listen to what she needs to say while the lasso of truth helps guide her words. But not before she addresses their male guest. "And yes, sisters. While he is a male, he is not our enemy. But instead, he has come here in dire request of our assistance in saving man's world. But not the folly path my daughter has set you on,"
Soon Hippolyta is joined by Aaron to stand by her side as the Amazonian army continues to listen. "We are to lessen man's rage, not enable it," It's then the older blonde Amazon makes a sad gesture towards her unconscious Daughter. "Unfortunately, Diana has failed in these responsibilities. She has enabled one man to impose his rage on the entire world, allowing him to be consumed by his dark passions,"
The Amazons would've been skeptical of the claims Hippolyta brings out, but seeing the lasso wrapped around her, willfully telling the truth, makes them think otherwise.
And to exhibit evidence of these claims, Hippolyta gently grabs the lasso that's still wrapped around Aaron's wrist to show them. "This young warrior has revealed these atrocities to you all. Even now as we speak, his allies are continuing to fight against their oppressor, to alleviate their world of intimidation and dictatorship of one man, who has lost his ways of peace,"
Upon mentioning their outer guest, most of the Amazonian warriors shift their eyes back toward Aaron, who soon noticed their gaze on him. Thanks to his empathic senses, he feels their sympathies and condolences for what they all heard him say even if it was unintentional. It seems they are now starting to see the folly of the path their new Queen has set them on.
Hippolyta also takes notice of their shift in allegiance and continues her persuasion. "Let us enter the battle. But not as humankind's protectors, not its destroyers, as we have always had before," and then she brings her sword out in the air to show them her intact stance to fight. "We are Amazon. We are here to save mankind!"
The Amazons can see their previous Queen is truly dedicated to the cause. And hearing the male's confession through the lasso of Truth seems to have also helped them clear any doubts and suspicions about their intent positions during the fight against Diana.
They all have spoken the truth in their words. And their open intentions in the fight to save the world are also truthful as well which would mean that the path, wonder Woman set them on is indeed folly. They must reconnect with the outside world. But most of all, They must save mankind from the fierce oppressors of the Regime.
And so with those dedications mentally set to stone, The entire Amazonian army formulate their stances in straightened formation which signifies to the Blonde Amazon Queen that they will follow her in battle.
With their dedication set on the right path, Hippolyta turns to the Gardian male. "We shall fight with you, young warrior,"
This makes Aaron smile determinedly. "Great. Thank you," He says with sheer gratitude before becoming serious. "Let's go save the world. Let's put an end to Superman's Reign once and for all,"
Hippolyta nods in agreement before she turns to her fellow sisters, who all await her command and she greatly complies with them with one order.
"Prepare for Battle!"
To be continued…
Another Chapter is Finished!
First, I would like to take this small moment to say something to you all.
Happy New Year, everybody!
Yeah! I know, it's been a whole month late for me on publishing any story chapters. But the mere moment in the new year started slow for me which is why I haven't been much active. Not to mention doing much writing and rewriting during that time as well.
Alright, that aside, back to important matters now.
The battle for Earth draws near and everyone readies themselves for what could be the last.
The Amazons are now ridden by their new Queen and her manipulations and returned to Hippolyta. They stand ready to battle the good fight along with the insurgents.
Will it be enough?
Who will rise? Who will fall?
Find out in the next chapter! (Also, I don't know if it will be one huge chapter or separate, depends on my progress. So just to give you guys a heads up)
So as usual in the previous chapters, I don't own anything in the story except the OC characters, and all the rest belong to their respective owners. Hopefully, by the end of this month/year, I'll have the next chapter in by then.
Goodbye, for now.
