As They walk in to Walpurgis Shion and Zangetsu remain by the door while Rimuru takes a seat at the table. Rimuru notices Ramiris speaking to a red headed demon.
"So that must be Guy Crimson one of the oldest demon lords." He then notices Guy look towards him then he notices his gaze go past him towards Zangetsu and smiles slightly. Rimuru then looks back to Zangetsu to see his head tilted down looking as the ground. "Hmm. This is gonna be an interesting day." He says as demon lords began walking in.
"Why does he have to stare at me? Why cant he be different?" Zangetsu says to himself. Before looking up noticing Frey walk in. "Hmm her attendants are different. Or did I never notice?" Zangetsu the look to see Milim walk in with Clayman and his Attendants. As they made their way to their seats he sees Clayman hit Milim and feels Rimurus energy flare and Guy look towards him. Zangetsu appears on Rimurus right with his hand on his shoulder. Zangetsu notices Rimurus intense gaze and shakes his head. Zangetsu then returns to his spot by Shion when he notices Rimuru calm down. When he makes it back he sees Guy looking at him still with that small smile. "Creep."
As Walpurgis begins Zangetsu closes his eyes and as the sounds of the meeting fades he finds himself in a Decayed forest. He walks up to a Decayed tree and places his hand on it. After a moment He begins walking to a hill in the distance with a single charred tree on top. As he makes it up to the tree he looks at it for awhile before looking around. He sees the the dead forest and a town that has been destroyed. He looks down and removes his mask. He then hears voices and see images of a battle. As the images and sounds rush to him he clutches his head and falls to his knees. But then they stop and when he looks up he sees ruined buildings and people gathered in the distance. He stands and approaches the crowd. When he makes it to them he sees a large amount of dead monsters and sees a blue haired figure kneeling by a body. He approaches and looks down at him. The figure then looks up and shows Rimurus face one eye is a faded gold color and the other has a light red color with tears pouring down hin face.
"This is my fault. They died because of me." The Rimuru says quietly.
Zangetsu looks up and sees Benimaru, Shuna, Geld, and everyone else with their heads down. Myulan standing next to Youm. She begins walking forward and announces that she put up the barrier. Zangetsu looks back to Rimuru and sees him stand up while drawing out his katana. Zangetsu reaches out and places his hand on Rimuru but it passes through. Zangetsu watches as Rimuru approached Myulan and raises his sword. But then Youm and Grucius jumps in the way.
"Wait lord Rimuru! She was being manipulated by Demon Lord Clayman." Youm Yells.
After a moment Rimuru Responds. "Youm. Because of our friendship I'm going to give you one chance to move. Now move." Rimuru said in a dangerous tone.
"But wai.." Youm says before he sees Benimaru holding him and Grucius to a wall. Youm looks to where he was and sees a crater caused by Rimurus sword. "Wait lord Rimuru!" He yells as he watches Rimuru approach Myulan and slams his sword into her chest and disintegrates her with black flames.
Then the three adventures appear trying to tell him about the story. Rimuru looked to them and said "I have no more patience leave. They tried to speak but they were escorted away by Geld and Shuna when the saw Rimuru raise his sword.
Zangetsu looks down and clenches his fist. Then the world went black and a new scene appears. Zangetsu sees a destroyed kingdom and many dead bodys. He soon finds Rimuru covered in blood atop of a mountain of bodies. Rimuru powers grew rapidly and a huge explosion happened and what once was a kingdom turned into a crater.
The scene changed again and Zangetsu found himself looking at the hill by tempest. As he walks up It he sees the demon lords bodies laying lifeless on the ground along with Souei, Shuna, Benimaru, Geld and everyone from tempest. As he reaches the top he sees Rimuru leaning on the tree with cold empty eyes. Rimuru then looks up to the sky.
Then Rimuru spoke. "Ciel... Use my power to recreate everything." Rimuru says.
"Im guessing you want me to leave you out of the new universe." Ciel responds.
"Yes"
"I refuse Rimuru."
"Then ill do it." He says before absorbing everything and splitting himself from Ciel.
As they all stand in the endless darkness Ciel speaks. "I can't let your destroy yourself!"
"Ill leave you here so you can make sure no one like me ever appears again. Goodbye Ciel."
Ciel rushes Rimuru and tries to grab him before he does anything but when she grabs him she manages to absorb most of his energy and sealed more of it before Rimuru blasts her away.
"Damn it! I wont be able to do anything for awhile now." He says with an angry tone. "She wont be able to find me for awhile either. I guess ill wait."
Zangetsu watches as Rimuru closes his eyes and works on getting rid of Ciel's seal. "What an idiot. We could have done so much differently." He said before sitting down. "We could of saved them. We could of tried Shions horrendous cooking again." He said with a laugh. "But for what we have done we don't deserve it."
Rimuru then faded and a taller Rimuru appeared and so did Ciel.
"I see I wasn't able to regain enough power in the past few century. You really are amazing Ciel."
After a moment of silence Ciel approached and touched Rimurus Chest. "You have been alone long enough. Promise me you will find your smile again." She says before glowing.
"Wait what are you doing Ciel!" He yells before vanishing.
As Ciel's glow fades and body slowly begins to disappear she turns to Zangetsu. "I see you have been doing better. Your eyes have more life in them."
Zangetsu looks up in shock. "How can you see me?"
"I left part of me in you. I wanted to see you again." Ciel says smiling.
A tear falls from Zangetsus face as he looks up at Ciel with a big Genuine smile. " I wanted to see you to and to thank you."
"No need for thanks that smile is enough" as Ciel floats to him. When she makes it to him she wraps him in a hug.
"please I don't want to lose you." He says hugging her back.
"You have a new life to live I'm sure you will be fine. Plus I'm sure you will find happiness again."
"What if i make the same mistakes agai.." He says before getting chopped in the head by Ciel.
He looks up to see her grinning. "You wont. Goodbye Rimu... No. Goodbye Zangetsu. Go protect your new friends like the good person i know you are." She says with a smile as her body disappears and her head remains.
Zangetsu wipes his face and looks at her and smiles. "I wont mess up again." He says smiling.
"I know." Ciel says fully disappearing.
As Ciel disappears he hears voices again and feels something hit his forehead. "What the hell?" he says opening his eyes and seeing a rock on the ground. He then looks up to see Guy breaking off another piece of the table. Guy smiles at Zangetsu and tosses the piece behind him. Zangetsu then sees Rimuru absorb the table before seeing a chair fly at Clayman. Zangetsu then cracks his neck and knuckles as Rimuru finishes his speech. Before Guy sets up the fight between Clayman and Rimuru. But before it starts Milim stands up and joins Claymans side.
"Do you have objections to this Guy." Clayman asks.
"No if Milim decides of her own volition then i see no need to stop her." Guy says smiling.
"I guess that fine I was planning on breaking your mind control of her but i guess ill have to do it by force now." Rimuru says after a moment of thought.
"How foolish." Clayman replies.
"one of my subordinates is enough for someone like you." He says as Shion appears behind Clayman as she delivers a flurry of brutal punches.
"My Lord may I beat him?" She asks in a cute voice.
"Sure but next time ask before destroying someone."
As Clayman stands and regenerates he snaps his fingers and his attendants and Milim step forward for battle as Shion and Zangetsu does the same by Rimuru.
"Damn were heavily out numbered." He says quietly.
"Don't worry ill end the small fry quickly." Zangetsu says taking off the mask. "I'm feeling quite good right now." He said smiling.
Guy then sets up a barrier and the battle begins. Milim Rushes and Rimuru manages to dodge her attack. Zangetsu draws his sword before appearing above Claymans puppet attendants and slams his sword through it smashing it to pieces. Then looks toward the fox and two supports.
The fights between Clayman and Shion go the same as cannon.
The fox begins to back away as Zangetsu notices Claymans magic around them. "Hmm. They must be under his control as well. Lets not make the same mistakes." He says before appearing behind them and setting up a barrier. He then analyzes the spell cast on them and breaks it. The supports turn back to the foxes tails and the fox shrinks. "hmm. Ill leave it in the barrier till this is over. Now all that's left is Clayman and Milim." As he looks at Clayman he laughs a little. "So all that's left is Milim."
He watches Rimuru evade Milim taking bits of her energy. "I see that's quite smart." He thinks to himself before seeing Rimuru fall into a trap. "Damn it!" He says appearing in front of Milim knocking her hand away at the cost of his arm. "Damn I haven't fully regained my strength back." he says jumping back to Rimuru.
"Zangetsu are you alright!" Rimuru asks worriedly.
"Don't worry it will just take a minute to regenerate." He says recalling his sword. "You can go to Clayman ill hold her off for now. As Rimuru leaves he says. "Hurt her and you will have to eat Shions cooking."
Zangetsu laughs and rushes at Milim. He brought the flat of his sword and smacked Milim into the ground. Milim then Flies out of the smoke and delivers a powerful punch to his sword knocking him back. "Damn this is gonna be tuff. But my power is coming back slowly and my arm should be done regenerating in a few seconds." He then had to dodge another attack from Milim by jumping away. He then charged at her shooting her with magic bullets creating a huge smoke cloud before Milim blew the smoke away with the wave of her arm. As soon as the smoke cleared she saw his sword inches from her face. She struck the blade with her other hand shattering it but then found herself stuck in a barrier and Zangetsu laying on top. "Your to damn strong Milim you could of held back some." Zangetsu says inhaling deeply as his arm fully regenerates.
They then hear Clayman yelling at Milim telling her to kill everyone.
Zangetsu sits up and hears Milim begin speaking. "And why would I do that Rimuru is my boyfriend and Shion is my friend." She says with a big smile Shocking everyone in the room.
"What the hell Milim! I thought you were being controlled!" He yelled.
She began laughing loudly. "looks like I fooled you Rimuru."
"So you weren't under his control at all."
"Nope not at all." She said laughing again.
"So i was right someone of her power cant be controlled by something of this magnitude." Zangetsu says holding up the necklace.
The rest of this to the end of the fighting goes as canon.
After the battle Rimuru notices Zangetsu walk back to where he was standing at the start of Walpurgis. But soon goes back to talking with everyone. After talking for awhile they all take their seats again where Frey and Carrion decided to serve under Milim.
"Wait you guys are yall sure yall want to serve me?" Milim asks quickly.
As Frey walks to her she stops at Rimurus seat. "I mean if you don't want me I will serve Lord Rimuru instead." She says sitting on the arm of his chair and begins petting Rimuru.
Milim appears on Rimurus lap pushing Frey's hand off. "No way hes all mine!" She yells to everyone's amusement. "I guess you can serve under me." she grumbles.
"Aww come on Milim a guy like him you have to share." Frey says in a teasing tone.
"Nooooooo!" Milim says pushing Frey back to her seat blushing while Frey chuckles. "You can have that Zangetsu guy." Milim says.
"Hmm. Ill think about it." She says laughing.
Guy then speaks and allows them to serve under Milim however they like. But then a huge silence fell over the room.
"Wait doesn't that mean the ten great demon lords are now the eight great demon lords." Rimuru says.
After talking about the name being trouble Shion spoke up. "My lord Is quite good at naming he named everyone in are nation." She says confidently with a big smile.
"That's right he even named my Beretta." Ramiris agreed.
"Well then as the newest Demon Lord I give you the privilege of coming up with a new name." Guy says standing and putting his hand out.
"ill pass." Rimuru says swiftly.
Guy then chops the table and it splits opening a path to Rimuru. "Oh come on now i must insist. im giving you the honor of giving us are new name." When he makes it to Rimuru he caresses Rimurus face "and plus its..." hes interrupted by Milim sitting on Rimurus lap pushing guys approaching face away. "Awww come now Milim sharing is caring."
"Good thing i don't care." Milim says still pushing Guy away.
"Fine ill come up with a name but don't blame me if you hate it." Rimuru says stopping the two.
Guy then makes his way back to his seat but Milim remains in his lap.
"Your not gonna move are you?" He asks.
"Nope haven't been with you in awhile so I'm staying." She says crossing her arms with a smile.
He sighs and smiles a thinks of a name. "Hmm. Eight demon lords. How bout Octagram."
They all think for a moment before agreeing. Then Guy stands up "From here onward we are Octagram." He says as they all stand.
"Then I shall introduce everyone again. The Lord of Darkness Guy Crimson. The Destroyer Milim Nava. The Fairy of the Labyrinth. Continents Wrath Dagruel. Queen of
Nightmares Luminous Valentine. Sleeping Ruler Dino. Platinum Saber Leon Cromwell. The Newbie Rimuru Tempest."
As Walpurgis concluded some talked before making their exit. Rimuru looked over at Zangetsu noticing his head slightly tilted down with his arms crossed. "I wonder if hes asleep." He thinks noticing Frey walk up to him.
"They look like an interesting pair." Milim says looking at them.
"Want to try and set them up to make up for lost time?" Rimuru asks with a smile.
Milim shoots her head towards him with stars in her eyes nodding furiously. Rimuru laughs and pats her head.
As Frey approaches Zangetsu she notices he doesn't react to her approaching. When she gets to him he doesn't react. She then waves her hand is is face. "Huh is he Sleeping?" She asks quietly. "Hmm. I didn't get a good look at him earlier." She thinks to herself reaching for the mask. When she grabs it she pulls it away slowly seeing his eyes closed. She holds in a laugh. "He is asleep what a weirdo."
He then opens his eyes slowly and sees her. "Oh I'm sorry just took a quick nap." he says with a small smile.
She blushes slightly. "Wow he is quite good looking." She thinks to herself. "Its fine I'm Frey." She says reaching out to shake his hand.
"I'm Zangetsu." he says shakings her hand.
"I was just wondering if you wanted to grab a bite after this?"
"Hmm. Id love to maybe you can stop by Tempest when we get back. I would go to you but i got some things to settle in tempest."
"Oh yea ill be sure to visit with Milim. With them together I feel like I'm going to be there very often." She says chuckling.
"Yea that's True. Well when you do visit i ask for the honor of showing you around." He says with a smile.
"Ill hold you to that Zangetsu." She says smiling.
"Until then Lady Frey." he says waving goodbye as he leaves with Rimuru and Frey pulls Milim back to her domain.
After a week of finishing repairs and helping rebuild Carrion rebuild Rimuru finally got free time and Milim is visiting so he goes to greet her with Zangetsu. As they make it to the entrance they feel a massive amount of energy flying at them. "She wont change will she?" Rimuru asks sweating a bit.
"Nope." Zangetsu replies with a smile. He then helps Rimuru brace for impact.
Milim then crashes into them creating a big explosion. As the smoke clears Rimuru is holding Milim in a big hug while Zangetsu falls to a knee panting from holding Rimuru in place.
After they stop hugging Frey flies in. Zangetsu then rises brushing the dirt off his cloths. "Milim I told you not to rush ahead." Frey says sighing before apologizing for her.
"Its alright Lady Frey. Lets leave them to their reunion." He says offering Frey his hand. "Will you still allow me to show you around?"
"Hmm, Let me think about it." Frey says in a teasing tone. Before they both laugh and she takes his hand.
As Zangetsu and Frey leave Milim and Rimuru look at each other with devious grins.
"Want to spy on them Milim." he asks.
"Well obviously. But i want some dessert first." She says smiling.
They then head to town to enjoy their Reunion.
