Bobby had a death grip on the steering wheel as sleet pelleted the road ahead. Dean had the blanket pulled up to his chin as he repeated in his head, "We'll get home fine". Things like bad weather never bothered either one of them before. Sure, it sucked but they were both good drivers and brave as hell but with a baby on board, Bobby especially was cautious. To take Dean's mind off things, the elder alpha struck up a conversation.
"I think it's about the size of a pork chop now from the looks of the photo."
Dean let out a cross between a snort and a laugh, Pork chop? Nah, it's the size of a jumbo Hershey bar. I wonder what Sam will compare it to when he sees the picture."
"I'm guessin' a small bowl of salad, no dressing."
"A granola bar!"
They had a chuckle at Sam's expense but it was all in good fun. It worked; Dean didn't look so worried anymore.
Bobby turned the radio on, at least there were still stations playing music and plenty more discussing the plight of the world. He didn't want to hear any bad news because they had something to be happy about.
"Faithfully" by Journey was playing and Dean was into it. It reminded him of his times on the road without Sam and how good it felt to see him again. He closed his eyes and picked out a good memory when it was just him and Sammy riding around in Baby on a summer's day with nothing in particular to kill or do. The last time they had a day like that Dean pulled into an empty park and they spent the afternoon fucking and drinking beer. They made a fire on the beach that night and slept right there in the sand. Dean thought if Heaven was real, that was exactly what it would be like.
When Bobby glanced over, Dean had his eyes closed and a smile on his face. He was in his own little world and it must have been pretty nice there. The hunter spent a lot of his life on the road, listening to the radio and he knew the words by heart. Bobby Singer was on of the most faithful men on the planet and when he loved, he loved hard. That was why he only really loved two people in his entire life in a romantic way.
Highway run into the midnight sun
Wheels go 'round and 'round, you're on my mind
Restless hearts, sleep alone tonight
Sendin' all my love along the wire
They say that the road ain't no place to start a family
Right down the line, it's been you and me
And lovin' a music man ain't always what it's supposed to be
Oh, girl, you stand by me
I'm forever yours
Faithfully….
The man thought to himself that maybe the boys were right, this trip would be good for him. Besides, it was getting to be like the movie Road Warrior out there and an extra hunter along for the ride couldn't hurt. If he didn't go, he knew he'd just spend the entire time worrying about all four of them. At least the baby was housed in Fort Knox with Sam as the guard. It was Alfie he worried about the most going to a strange place that Bobby hadn't vetted yet.
Dean still had his eyes closed, dreaming about his wet, nude brother frolicking in the waves until he heard Bobby sing for the very first time in front of him. The man's voice was all low, rumbly and sorta quiet. Dean kept his eyes closed and began to sing along, he just couldn't pass up this chance.
Circus life under the big-top world
We all need the clowns to make us smile
Through space and time, always another show
Wonderin' where I am lost without you
And being apart ain't easy on this love affair
Two strangers learn to fall in love again
I get the joy of rediscovering you
Oh, girl, you stand by me
I'm forever yours
Faithfully…..
Bobby's voice got a little louder when Dean joined in. It was a weird and special moment the two of them.
"Yah know, I'm only goin' with you to that compound because otherwise I'll just sit around and worry."
"I know."
"Who knows what goes on there. Sounds like some kinda cult. We can't leave angel boy there if I get one bad vibe."
"Trust me, it's not a cult. I'm glad you're coming, Bobby."
…..
Sam was pretty pleased with himself and the truckload of necessities he'd just stolen. Dean had always been the brave, bad boy, the one who stole to in order for them to survive but now Sam took over that role tonight and did what he had to do and no one got hurt in the process. The alpha had no qualms now about kicking ass and taking names and it was all very freeing.
They were leaving for the compound in just a few days and much of the jewelry would go as tribute to Cal and the omegas. It was the equivalent of bringing really good wine to a dinner party. Sam had his own plans for some it and he wanted to give Alfie first crack at the sparkly gems. The omega had pierced ears but no earrings and he thought the kid would look great with a pair of diamond studs.
"Why do we keep calling him "kid"…I think he's older than me…he looks a lot younger…oh well…."
To be honest, he was a little nervous going to a place where most of the people there were omegas. It could go really well or be a disaster where Dean spent his time being jealous and getting into fights. Sam knew that was the reason Dean never wanted to bring him or help with the building projects. He also wondered if Alfie really wanted to go, it wasn't like he was asked, Dean just felt it would be better for him in the long run.
When Sam got home, he didn't see Bobby's truck, but there was a maroon Econoline van loaded with windows parked there. He checked inside it with his gun at the ready but it was empty. The distraction made him miss the car that had stopped at the gates before driving slowly away.
…..
Sheamus went though the stack of records in the attic and chose a 45, "Baby I'm Yours", he put it on the record player and beckoned to the omega, "Dance with me." When Alfie's baby blues opened wide Sheamus laughed, "Come on, I'm a good dancer."
The omega approached him like a deer approaching a human with a handful of oats, once he was in arms reach, the alpha put the needle on the record and said, "just follow my lead."
It was the single most amazing experience Alfie had to date in his life. He was slow dancing with a guy like Sheamus who seemed to be pretty wonderful so far. Wrapped up in big, strong arms being guided around the living room and the man crooning lyrics of the most romantic song ever in his ear. He got an erection but the too tight dress kept it in check, it was embarrassing but Sheamus didn't let on he noticed, like a gentleman. The alpha gave him a spin and he ended up on the couch a bit breathless and tingly. Sheamus knelt in front of him and took his hands, compared to the alpha's big mitts, his looked so small.
"You dance so well, Sheamus."
"Mama made me take dance classes growing up. I can also play the harmonica like nobody's business and I'm an expert marksman. I'm just full of surprises." He winked, "Wanna find out more?"
"He really likes me! Wow, he smells so good like the beach or a winter forest…"
Actually, Sheamus was sweaty and kind of rank but to the omega it was a wonderful perfume that acted like a sirens lure.
"Yeah, I think I do."
He looked up at him with hope in his cool blue eyes, "Great, then you'll tell Dean you're not leaving?"
"I-I have to go but I promise to come back with them. It's complicated, something about Sam and Dean having wacky plans to fix Bobby up with someone without him knowing it. I am the reason Bobby is going at all. He's a good papa bear who needs to come out of hibernation and find a mate." Alfie waved his hand toward the mantle where a photo of Karen and one of Jamie sat, "his is a tragic tale."
Sheamus didn't really understand what Alfie was talking about but the coming back part was all that mattered, "Do what you have to do and I'll be here waiting for you to come back." He kissed the delicate hands he was holding, "I miss you already."
…..
Sam crept inside and spotted a big male kneeling in front of the couch and he had Alfie cornered. The only light in the living room was from the fireplace and there was a record playing.
"Back away from him, NOW!"
Sheamus raised his hands in the air and slowly got to his feet and turned to look at one big, angry young buck, "Sam, this is your principal, stop pointing that gun at me immediately." Sheamus turned, hands still in the air and a square, toothy smile on his face, "It's great to see you Sam."
Sam holstered the gun and rushed over to the principal and they gave each other a bear hug. Alfie thought it looked like two mountains crashing together. Sheamus held Sam at arms length and looked him over.
"I stopped by to see you awhile back but your uncle said you were out tutoring. You look great Sam, healthy and strong, I can just feel the energy coming off you. What's your secret?"
"My secret is, drinking demon blood as a baby and then getting infected plus my mom and dad were both super good looking…"
"I'm a teenager with great genetics."
…
The first thing Dean noticed when they got back was Sam's truck had been moved and the back was loaded with stuff hiding beneath a tarp. There was no time to think about that or the strange vehicle or anything else because he had to pee and rushed into the house, passed by the stranger, Sam and Alfie in a chick dress, straight to the toilet. His jeans were getting snug and pressed on his bladder so he changed into sweatpants which he hated.
By the time he went back downstairs, everyone was sitting around the table talking and a giant platter of scrambled eggs sat in the middle. Dean shoveled more scrambled eggs into his mouth that night than he had all year.
He stole Sam away from the others and once in their bedroom, Dean handed him the photos, "Bobby took me for my first ultrasound." He could tell by the look on his brother's handsome face that he was over the moon. It was all full on Sammy dimples and teeth and Dean loved him so much at that moment he thought his heart would explode.
"Dean, it looks like a little bean." Sam chuckled, "Dean's little bean."
"Ok, that doesn't sound at all like you think it does."
Dean dropped the sweat pants and kicked them away, "I reeeeeally need you, Sammy."
Sam slipped his hand between the omega's legs and palmed his pussy before slipping one long finger inside, "I love how wet and hard you get for me." He wrapped his other hand around his brother's cock and squeezed.
Dean's knees buckled but he knew Sam would catch him and he did with on arm. Sam slid inside him raw just how Dean liked it and it was raw that got them in this baby dilemma in the first place but that only made it hotter. Bent over the bed and ass in the air, Dean pushed back over and over meeting each hard thrust and used his muscles to milk his brother.
"Come on Sammy, put another baby in me, you know you want too, you love it."
That spurred Sam on to go even harder. His brother hit on his new kink, yeah it was hot as fuck he knocked his brother up and that that baby inside was his. The alpha had an orgasm just thinking about Dean's swollen nipples.
In the afterglow, Sam kept him wrapped up in his arms and peppered the omega's forehead with little kisses.
"Love you, Sammy."
Love you, D."
…..
Cal strolled the aisles of the gathering place where the morning meal of eggs and grits was being served. Dean had explained everything about the new omega Alfie and why they were bringing him there. Protection, a chance to belong to a community and forge a new life for himself.
His pushy and persuasive mentee had given him the task of finding a selection of candidates for the uncle who had no idea why he would be there in the first place. Of course, Dean gave him a laundry list of qualities needed as if Cal could build the perfect omega. Cal even suggested that Bobby might want to try a female this time and it was best to know these things in advance but Dean insisted and said Bobby was crazy happy with Jamie and only an omega would do.
"So many choices…who is looking for an intelligent, rough around the edges and seen it all 50ish alpha hunter with a history….does Bobby want a domestic goddess, a mate to hunt with and knew how to handle themselves or a combo? Jamie was both sugar and spice and very independent, he was a marvel with knives…he certainly wasn't the prettiest but he had his charms…oh Dean, you didn't make this easy…"
