A/N:Out of the blue, inspiration! It's been a while since I finished Call of the Force, and I feel like I've improved enough as a writer to make an even better sequel. I'm still working on the details though, so until it's ready, I'll lay some lore groundwork with a few drabbles here. Enjoy!
Council of the Jedi Order of Earth (EJO):
Kevin Caller
Though he considers his title of Grandmaster a formality rather than an appropriately earned one, and is admittedly more a Knight than a Master, Kevin is quite accomplished. Since his experiences as a padawan of Obi-Wan Kenobi, he has developed his sensory and telepathic abilities to a startling degree; capable of chaining telepathic attacks into his lightsaber sequences, and highly skilled with force illusions, Kevin's strength in the Force compensates for his relative lack of experience as a leader. That said, he still relies heavily on the advice of his fellow council members, as well as the wisdom of Kenobi, whom he regularly speaks with on his visits across the Breach between universes.
Marshall Dalton
As his real identity is still wanted for the murder of his father, Marsh is currently going by the name "Dylan Marsh" while on Earth. This deception, while necessary, gives him great anxiety. Though a firm devotee of the Light, his experience as a Sith apprentice of Count Dooku still marks him, and—by his own admission—he still worries that he might once again fall into darkness. In spite of all that, he is a steadfast and loyal companion to his fellow Jedi, and has more than earned the respect of his peers on both sides of the Breach. As befits someone trained by a god-tier duelist like Dooku, he is a truly gifted bladesbeing, and among the EJO only the famous Twin Battlemasters are known to be able to keep up with him.
Alex Hartman
Before he awakened to the Force, Hartman was a homeless drug addict, a veteran of the Second Gulf War who had fallen on hard times and hit rock bottom. By the time Kevin met him, however, he had already begun to discover his powers, and gained the motivation to get clean. The oldest member of the EJO at 40 years, Alex also has the most experience in actual combat, having been an Army Ranger. Often described as 'the closest any Earth human has ever come to being Kyle Katarn', his voice is one of the most respected on the Council. His innate skill with telekinesis and his powerful lightsaber style, combined with his special forces experience, makes him one of the go-to Jedi for particularly dangerous missions.
Kyle and Christopher Liu
Prior to joining the order, these identical twin martial arts prodigies ran a small historical swordplay school; Kyle was a talented practicioner of HEMA (Historic European Martial Arts), while Chris had knowledge of several Asian fencing forms. Upon joining the Order, they crossed the breach and trained under the GFFA Order's battlemaster Cin Drallig, who considered them among his finest students. Though Jedi tradition generally only allows one person in the order to hold the title of Battlemaster, the twins refused to accept the title unless both of them were allowed to use it. Thus, they became the Twin Battlemasters, and by combining their knowledge of Earth fencing styles with their newfound lightsaber education, they developed several new styles specifically for the EJO.
Sarah Farrow
The resident "Jedi Consular", Sarah first discovered her affinity with the Force while volunteering at a homeless shelter. Though fully combat-ready as all EJO members are, and quite formidable in terms of force abilities, Sarah is the most consistent voice of pacifism on the council, and is well-known for her nearly universal and unconditional compassion. While other Jedi patrol for criminals, she focuses on search-and-rescue efforts, as well as simply giving a helping hand to the needy whenever possible. Highly insightful and wise beyond her years, she often counsels caution and careful thought in dire situations, and her advice is highly sought by fellow Jedi.
Non-Jedi allies:
Anne Madison
Still running the orphanage where Kevin grew up, she often looks after the youngest members of the order. She may not be a Jedi, but she is fiercely protective of her charges, and those who threaten "her kids" had better hope the EJO finds them before her.
Dr. Martha Kendall
The unofficial in-house psychiatrist for the EJO. Professional but also highly empathetic, her support has proven essential more than once, and though the field of "Jedi Psychology" is new, one would be easily mistaken in thinking she has done it all her life.
Jeffrey "Boozy" Badge
The legal rep and consultant for the EJO (yes, they have that), Badge has the unenviable task of helping the order navigate the often treacherous waters of the law. Though outwardly cynical, and often annoyed by the difficulty of his job presented by the complete lack of precedent (not to mention the complications inadvertently caused by the actions of the order itself), he is secretly quite proud of what he does, and truly believes in the cause of the EJO.
