JJ, Morgan, Roman, and Hotch gathered at the bombed building. "I just got off the phone with Rossi," JJ started. "Alex and Spence are getting picked up by the ambulance now. Garcia will head over there when she's done helping Rossi."

"You better call Will," Hotch said.

"I already did. He said Charlie's been asleep for hours, and she can stay all night if needed."

"Where are we at with the waiter?" Morgan asked.

"Rossi is still into it. Garcia is working on finding a connection."

"Well, Mitchell is with Prentiss, Reid is with Alex. The best thing for us is to go back to the embassy and help close out this connection," Hotch said.

"The sooner, the better," Roman said. "I'm starving. All they had at the party was little nibbly bits."

The paramedic pushed Alex toward the ambulance, with Reid holding her hand next to the gurney. When they stopped, the paramedic tightened the straps across her, locking her down.

"Whoa, is that really necessary?" Reid protested.

"It's for her safety," he said. "One of the other victims appeared calm but then became extremely agitated and was flailing about. It's best for everyone."

Reid nodded, climbed aboard and sat on the bench next to her. The paramedic closed the back doors and moved to the seat by her head. He leaned over to the driver. "We're all set." The paramedic reached into the cupboard and pulled out a kit, then rolled up the sleeve of her sweatshirt.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm getting an IV started." He continued with his work, inserted the needle, and taped it down. "Is she allergic to any medications?"

"No," Reid replied.

The paramedic pulled out his clipboard and made a few notes. "Any recent medical procedures we need to be aware of?"

"She gave birth six months ago."

"Okay, sounds good." He put the clipboard down and then pulled out a syringe.

"What's that?"

"Oh, just flushing the IV."

Reid watched as he stuck the needle in. "But wait, that doesn't make sense–"

Alex's eyes opened wide. "Drug!" Her eyes slowly closed until she passed out.

"What did you do?" Reid stood up and grabbed the paramedic's arm.

The driver took a hard right turn, knocking Reid against the side of the ambulance, and fell onto the ground. The paramedic jumped on top of him, holding the syringe in his hand. "There's still enough for you!"

"So, what's the word on our boy, Arnold?" Rossi asked.

"The word is largess. As in, someone deposited a huge sum of money into his account last week," Garcia reported.

"How huge are we talking?"

"Half a million."

Rossi whistled. "That's a huge chunk of change. Are you able to track down who sent it?"

"Not yet, still working on it."

"Keep at it. This might be the proof we need to connect the dots. We need to know why these people were drugged and if it has anything to do with Charles."

"My nimble fingers will not let you down!"

"They never do."

Rossi ended the call and held the phone in his hand. He headed over to where Major Grant was standing with the officers. He waved him over, and the two headed to where Hugh and Paul Cho were seated. "Hello, boys. This is Major Grant. The real Major Grant. I have a feeling we have a lot to discuss."

Hotch and the team from the field returned to the embassy. "Do we have any new information?"

"Oh, yeah," Rossi said.

They gathered in the conference room where Major Grant and Paul Cho were in deep conversation. Hugh got up from the table and joined Charles and Roman as they entered.

"We adding more members to our team?" Roman questioned.

Hugh let out a wry laugh. "Uh, Paul Roman, this is Paul Cho. He's with the South Korean military team who were invited this evening."

"Well, you pass the name test," Roman extended his hand to shake.

Charles patted Roman on the back. "Don't worry; he's cool. We worked with him before." He pulled out a seat from the table and sat. "So, what's the big news?"

"Paul has proof that Brandon Shaw is the man we are looking for," Rossi said.

"Have we heard from Spencer yet?" Hugh questioned. "Surely, we would have information on Alex's condition by now."

JJ looked at the group with the phone to her ear. "It's just ringing."

"I'm sure as soon as he has an update, he will reach out," Hotch said. "For now, we need to all catch up on the latest information."

The paramedic was on top of Reid as they fought in the tight space. Reid pushed his hand up against the other's face, holding him up as far as his arm would extend while his left hand held onto the man's wrist with the needle. He banged his hand against the gurney several times until he dropped the syringe.

The paramedic reached behind his back and pulled out a knife. Reid let go of the man's face and grabbed onto the other hand. The two struggled in a battle of strength. Reid fought to turn the knife away from him. The paramedic turned to look at the blade. Reid let go of the other hand and jabbed him in the throat with his fist. He dropped the knife and coughed while struggling for breath. Reid then popped him hard, breaking his nose. He fell backward, gagging and choking.

The driver quickly turned back toward Reid and then back to the road. He turned back again and shot at him. Reid crouched down by Alex. He reached over and took hold of her wrist to check for a pulse. He then shouted toward the driver. "What did he give her?" He then looked around and found the vial. He looked down at the paramedic's bloody face. "How much? How much did you give her?" The paramedic coughed up blood. Reid grabbed his shirt and shook him. He dropped him back down when he saw his eyes no longer reacted.

The driver turned back and fired another shot. Reid crouched down by Alex and patted her on the cheek. "Alex, you need to wake up!"

The driver looked back to Reid and then turned the ambulance off the road. They jostled around on a dirt path. The driver then turned around to look at Reid and smiled. He opened the door and jumped out. Reid looked out the back window to see him rolling on the ground. Reid rushed toward the front of the ambulance just as they broke through the barrier and plunged into a lake.

Reid frantically opened up drawers and cabinets, searching for something. He picked up an item in his hand and smiled. "Got it!" He then turned around to Alex and undid her straps. He looked around to see water seeping through the cracks and worked faster. He grabbed a few more things and then looked down at his feet, covered in water. "Alex! Come on, stay with me!"
