Dean's fingertips gently wound themselves around Dani's lengthy locks as she laid her head on his bare chest.
He breathed in the intoxicating combination of her perfume and sweat from their most recent "activity" they engaged in before placing an audible kiss on her forehead.
"I.. that was amazing", he mumbled against her skin.
"Mmm, I couldn't agree more," I smiled while adjusted his leather jacket that draped over the both of us.
Before I could say anything else, a small knock was made on the impala's back window.
Except this time, it wasn't a police officer asking us to be on our way.
In his place stood a handsome man with an ill fitted tie and an open trench coat.
"Hello Danielle. Do you mind getting dressed? We don't have much time."
With confusion, I nodded and began gathering my clothes.
I looked in Dean's direction to verify he was seeing this too, but he was no longer there.
What is going on?
Hopefully the man standing outside the car will be able to shed some sort of light on the situation.
Fully dressed, I got out of the car, closing the door behind me out of habit.
'So, who are you and what are you doing in my dream?"
"This is not a dream. You're in heaven. You died a few days ago at the hand of a very powerful demon. Yo.. you don't remember?"
I shook my head no, causing Cas to place three fingers directly on my forehead.
Sudden images of me being tied and cut up until the lights went out were brought forth right and center.
In response, I stepped back with wide eyes.
"How about now?"
"Yeah, I remember. Are you... you're Castiel?"
"Yes."
This was the same man..angel who saved Dean from hell and liquified Pamela's eyes.
I didn't know whether to get him a gift basket or slug him.
"Dean told me about you. What are you doing here and what do you want with me?"
"I'm keeping a promise. I'm bringing you home."
A smiled found its way to my inquisitive face.
"Really? Okay great, then let's get the hell outta dodge and get me back into my body. You said you don't have much time, right?"
"This is correct, but there is something I must do first."
"Okay, what?"
Cas touched the top of my chest, causing a burning sensation to radiate through my torso, causing me to double over.
"Ow! What in the hell was that?"
"It's angel warding. I carved it into you spiritually and physically."
"Warding? You're not supposed to be doing this, are you?"
"No."
"Won't the angels eventually find out that heaven is a soul short?"
"With the power I have left, I can create an assimilation."
"Oh... okay then. I have no further actions at this time. Let's do this. And of course, thank you."
Cas took a firm hold of my hand, pulling me back to earth, forcing my soul back into my now healed body.
Bobby was sitting at the kitchen table where a lifeless Dani was laid out in front of him.
As he was preparing to stand up from sitting in the same spot for the last four hours, Dani's upper body shot upright, and she let out a loud gasp that echoed throughout the quiet home.
I looked over at Bobby whose eyes were damn near ready to pop out of his head.
"Dani?"
"Hey Bobby."
"You don't mind doing a few tests for me, right?", he asked, slowly getting up once again and away from Dani.
"Not at all."
As I completed and passed each and every one of Bobby's tests, Bobby attempted to call the boys and Tiffany.
None of them were answering.
"Damn it."
"Nothing?", I asked, downing a large glass of water I got straight from the tap.
"You guessed it."
"Upside is their gps is turned on."
"Great, I'll go with you," I stated, putting the used glass in the sink.
"You sure? You don't know what we'll find."
"I know, but I'm not letting you go alone. Let me get fixed up real so I don't draw any attention and we are out of here."
"There's no convincing you otherwise, is there?"
"Nope. You miss me yet?"
"Of course I did, kid. Your things are upstairs in the guest bedroom. Dean couldn't bring himself to get rid of 'em."
"Okay. I'll be back down and ready in two shakes," I answered, making my way up the stairs.
As Dani was upstairs getting cleaned up, a loud crash was created by a now broken kitchen window.
I quickly tore open the closed bedroom door and what I witnessed was black smoke shoving itself down Bobby's gullet.
"Aw, hell," I whispered, quietly making my way back into the bedroom to see if I could scrounge up some holy water.
Fuck.
Nothing.
I went back out to the hallway, peaking around the corner.
Bobby was at the front door with a petite brunette and a bald guy dressed similarly to Dean.
The trio left out the front door, and I quickly headed around back to borrow one of Bobby's many cars.
I needed to follow them.
Not only was some back eyed son of a bitch making itself comfy in Bobby's body, but they may lead me to Dean, Sam, and Tiffany.
I parked my temporary vehicle around the corner and watched them pull up in front of Regent Inn Hotel.
How can a hotel and an Inn be the same thing?
Focus Dani.
I turned the key and pulled it out of the ignition, shoving the keys back into my jacket pocket.
I reached next to me, grabbing the two gallons of holy water I had blessed while being stuck in minor traffic.
I knew I could possibly raise some suspicion by entering the main lobby with the intense look of motivation permanently plastered to my face, so I went around the back and listened for the chaos to erupt from one of the hotel rooms.
Sure enough, I was right.
I heard a loud slam from the last room on the left.
Yahtzee.
The door was slightly open, and when I pushed open the door, the petite brunette had the demon knife against Dean's face as "Bobby" held him by the collar of the shirt.
With the forceful push of my thumbs, the lids popped off of the water, and I started splashing the water around the room, causing a sizzling sound to come from their possessed bodies.
"Bobby" temporarily let go of Dean, and I took a firm hold of his right forearm, helping him to his feet.
"Dani.."
"In the flesh," I smiled before turning my attention back to the room full of demons we are currently standing in.
"I'll keep the other two busy, you get Bobby demon free."
The brunette began to stand up with her skin still creating the signature sizzling sound.
"Kill him! Now!"
"Bobby" got a hold of the demon knife before Dean could and held Dean against the wall.
"Dean!", I yelled as the bald demon wrapped his arms around my neck, beginning to choke me.
Bobby took hold of the demon inside him and stabbed himself in the stomach.
He fell to the floor, and Dean pulled the knife out of Bobby to take care of the next demon that had a hold on Dani.
Seeing that Dean how had the knife in his possession, I mustered enough strength to turn me and the guy around.
Dean threw the knife, impaling the blade into his back, causing him to let me go and fall onto the floor.
I bent down, and pulled the knife out of his back, shifting my attention to the petite brunette.
As I brought myself closer to her, she smoked out of the meat suit she was riding, and the brunette fell to the floor.
I tucked the bloodied knife into one of the pockets inside my jacket and turned around.
Dean was on the floor, holding pressure to Bobby's stab wound.
"Where are Sam and Tiffany?", I asked, helping Dean to lift Bobby up.
"They are at a church nearby, diggin' up some lore on one of our many current problems."
"You're going to have to fill me in on our way to the hospital. "
Holy mother of hell, the shit I missed.
Lillith was dead.
Sam, Tiffany, and Dean were separated by the angels, and Sam used his demon powers to kill her.
Little did he know, offing Lillith was the ticket to kick off judgment day.
We reached the entrance of the emergency room before I could respond.
How could I respond?
With Dean and I both on each side of a bleeding out Bobby, the automatic doors opened.
"We need a doctor over here!", I yelled.
"What happened?", I nurse asked as she brought a gurney in front of us.
"He was stabbed, " Dean replied, helping me lay Bobby down on the gurney.
A loud screech of tires coming to sudden stop came from behind Dean's impala.
Sam and Tiffany sprinted into the emergency room, with wide eyes shifting between an injured Bobby and a very alive me.
"We have to go," Dean pointed out as the nurse stepped out of earshot.
"No way Dean," Sam answered, pushing his growing locks out of his sweaty face.
"Sam, the demons know where the sword is."
Sam shook his head.
"Sam, Dean's right. You guys go. We will stay here and answer their questions. We'll keep you updated," Tiffany reassured him.
"I second that, " I added, making eye contact with Dean.
Sam gave Tiffany a quick kiss on the lips before leaving the hospital with Dean not too far behind him.
Tiffany and I turned toward each other, giving one another a much-needed hug before walking side by side to the packed waiting room.
I suddenly was pulled away from her grasp and turned around in one swift motion.
Dean had my face in both his hands and his lips firmly planted onto mine.
"I didn't get the chance earlier," he explained as he pulled away with his mouth only millimeters from my own.
My eyes were still closed, and he gave me one more light kiss before pulling away, staring in my now open eyes.
"This is true."
"It is really you, right?"
"Yup. Passed Bobby's series of tests with flying colors. I'd be happy to go through them again. After you go kick some demon ass and get that sword, of course."
