Note from the Author
This project is far bigger than I ever imagined. It was just an idea I had in my darkest moments during covid, reeling from my personal life falling apart. I knew little of Yakuza at the time, a fact made obvious by the many inaccuracies seen in the early chapters. And for said inaccuracies, I apologize to the Yakuza fans who likely were pulling their hair trying to read through it. I have since played every game in the series, and my new knowledge has made me a far more effective writer within this narrative. A narrative that has been clunky and overwhelming to maintain, but such is how we improve as writers. Details were jumbled, outlines were dashed, but we crossed the finish line once again, and that has to count for something.
But I must admit, I do not know when this story will continue. I am working on my own life right now, and am currently writing an original novel for publishing purposes. I feel a beta, editor, or other collaborator may make the process easier, but I have yet to find such a companion in this journey. I will keep looking though. But for now, I am endlessly proud of myself for making it this far, and just as endlessly grateful to all my readers, new and old, who have read any part of this work. From the bottom of my soul, thank you so much for peering into my internal world like this. You are the reason this second book is now completed.
Stay tuned. My motivation is high, but we will see what this new stage of life I am entering has in store for me. I am excited to reveal the twists, twist the knife, and let all of you see this story play out, though I cannot promise when that will happen at this time. But until then, thank you for your support.
