The Night

Stepping forward in time...Kiara and Sarah spoke with Emmy, after a week she agreed to come forward and report that Rafe drugged and raped her the night of her accident. Rafe was arrested and charged, no trial date set.

Kiara was back to staying at her parents and occasional nights at the Chateau. Her and JJ would spend most of the night talking and she would fall asleep in is arms. The group treated them as if they were a couple, but they both denied any romantic feelings.

Tannyhill Plantation

Sarah decided it was time to throw a party at her house, but this time, opened it up to everyone as she didn't really see herself a Kook anymore, but still lived among them all. The party had a decent turn out and things felt as close to normal as they could be.

"Kiara...how much are you drinking tonight, because everyone is allowed to stay over tonight" Sarah said as they both were dancing around the back yard.

"I won't stay here too late. I can have one more" Kiara said "do you know where the boys are?"

"The docks" Sarah said pointing to the three boys sitting on the docks drinking away.

Kiara left her friend to go check in with the rest of the crew as to their plans for leaving "Hey boys" she said as she arrived but quickly was interrupted by a few girls calling for JJ and Pope. Her heart sunk a little bit, that JJ responded to them. He was definitely tipsy.

"Hey Kie" John B smiled "Why did you stop by?"

"Came to see if JJ and Pope had plans to stay over at the plantation tonight" Kiara said looking kind of annoyed at all of them "but I see there are others looking for your attention, so I guess that's a yes. Free rooms right?" Kiara sat down next to John B definitely perturbed and grabbed a beer from their cooler.

JJ looked at John B and Pope for help as he knew this shift in her tone and drinking were not a good match.

"So Kie...drinking lots tonight I see" Pope said.

"Pope, this is my second and last one. Calm down. I am not going down a dark hole again. JJ doesn't have to worry about me staying over; free to befriend all the ladies" Kiara said feeling oddly hurt over other girls throwing themselves at him.

"So Kie...I am going to go talk to those girls and you three can chat" Pope said pointing at everyone awkwardly and then turning away to speed walk towards the girls.

"So Kie...umm" John B cleared his throat "and I am going to check to see if Sarah needs anything". He also was trying to get away from Kie and JJ.

"Are you going to 'So Kie" me too JJ?" Kiara laughed.

"No" JJ laughed and looked over at her to make eye contact.

"I am sorry, I sounded so confrontational, if you did leave I would understand."

"I don't want to" JJ replied.

"I think those girls were looking for you too though" Kiara said turning to see Pope chatting them both up

"Well the only girl I want to talk to tonight, is sitting right next to me" JJ said with a sweet smile.

"Yeah?" Kiara questioned "Who would that be?" She said with a flitatious tone.

"Very funny. But to answer your question, that would be you. Though, I want to ask you a question?"

"Okay. Sure. Should I be worried?"

"No. So my question...were you jealous?" JJ asked referring to the girls that were calling out to him.

"If I said yes, what would you do?" Kiara replied

"I would wonder if that meant you have feelings towards me."

Kiara positioned herself so she was facing his side, no longer looking at the water. She wasn't a beat around the bush kind of girl "I got jealous yeah."

JJ scooted himself around so they were face to face "Yeah?" he questioned

"Please don't make this weird"

"I think you know I have always had a thing for you, but this past month...when you aren't around I miss you and when you stay with your parents, I wish that you were cuddled with me in my bed."

Kiara smiled and felt giddy "Likewise."

JJ grabbed her hands and intertwined them with his, gently rubbing his thumb over hers. "So what now? How does this work, if you haven't noticed, I have never been with anyone longer than a couple days"

"I am not much more successful than you" She laughed. "But I think I know where I want to start". Kiara leaned her face forward and licked her lips

JJ caught her drift and leaned in until their lips crashed together. It was a slow kiss, something to remember. The broke apart and Kiara turned her head to the side slightly embarrassed as the feelings she was experiencing were deep. JJ took her chin in his hands and moved her head back to his "I think we need to do that again". This time their kiss was passionate and mindblowing that neither wanted to let go.

"GET A ROOM" Sarah yelled as the Pogue's all cheered them on.

Kiara and JJ separated momentarily to laugh at their friends reactions but then quickly went back in for round three. "I want you to come home with me tonight" JJ said.
