I really enjoy writing stories for people to see, I get to show my creativity and passion to change the events of an already existing series, maybe soon I can try writing my own original one as well, but that won't be happening anytime soon.
The spiky haired assassin made his way down to the wasteland in hopes to calm down his allies and their opponents, the first person he spotted was Run, it looked like he was not focused on an enemy, Daikon jumps down next to him "Hey Run, I think we have a serious problem".
The blonde turned to face his ally, giving a look that he was listening "Sure thing, explain away", after a minute of explaining the situation as best he could, Daikon saw that Run did not look very happy, which was expected "So, we have a third party against us...".
Run had heard the story of a mysterious force taking down Wild hunt, he had beef with one of them...but it looks like he won't be meeting them, "Yeah, I know it's hard to imagine, but we should try to have a truce with Night Raid" he said with certainty.
The winged Jaeger nodded his head, he may not agree with teaming up with people who try to forcefully change the government, but there are seemingly no other options available, he sighs before turning his back "Ok, I'll try to stop the others from fighting, you handle Kurome".
He takes off to find the other Jaegers in their own battles, Daikon is left alone to find Kurome, he remembers where he last saw her as he ran towards that direction, there was hope this could work out, maybe this is a chance to hear Akame's side of the story in a lot more detail.
"Man, they've really been going at it" he says to himself while glancing around, there were a lot of signs of their battle, mostly black marks and craters on the ground, he could see Taeko in the distance killing off Doya, he was now quickly searching for the 2 sisters.
Daikon finally spots them, but instead of fighting they were talking to each other, there seemed to be no hostility from both of them, this would give him some hope they worked things out, after he approached closer, Kurome looks at him with a smile "There you are, I was wondering where you went".
Daikon curiously turned to Akame who also appeared happy, things were looking a lot brighter for them than ever before, the black-eyed sister stood up, she took a deep breath and told him something "Daikon, It turns out Akame was right...", this completely caught him off guard.
"Wait, really?" he asked with shock, he noticed how calm Kurome was around her sister, it was like they were back in the Elite seven, while Kurome explained to him what she was told, Akame reflected on her life as she watched them, feeling a little more hopeful for the future.
"Akame left us because she was unhappy with our comrade's deaths, she never wanted to leave us like she did...I wish I was smart enough to see her pain" Kurome said calmly, she herself didn't expect to understand Akame a lot more, but maybe spending time with her friends influenced her.
Daikon thought of the times Akame acted strange before she defected, he never really saw what she saw, this only made him wish he and Kurome were able to help her during those times, he looks down at his feet "Akame, I'm sorry things turned out this way...".
The red eyed assassin shook her head "It's not your fault, the Empire did their best to brainwash us, but we won't let them this time", she gently placed her hand on Murasame's sheath, still feeling determined to stop the new threat on the horizon.
Daikon was still shocked about what she was told that he almost forgot he needed to tell them what was happening "Sorry to destroy the mood, but I think we have a big problem", Akame already knew what it was, so she helped explain it to Kurome what she saw.
It was hard to think of those moments of desperation again, how she witnessed 107 and the terror of Bliz, it felt unreal to her, and it sounds just as unreal to Kurome, yet again...she saw Daikon turn into a giant ape, so it was somewhat more believable.
"I see, we have another threat to face" she tightly held her blade, she would think about it in her head, reflecting on the situation before speaking again "As scary as it sounds, I'm certain we can defeat them, besides...we have sis on our side now", being glad they don't have to fight each other anymore.
Akame nods her head, even forming a larger smile "Maybe now that we're a team again, we have a much better chance against this so-called Emperor", the fear was somewhat diminished, all that's left is for everyone else to agree to this truce, which varied in results.
"What, we have to work with these evildoers?!" Seryu yelled out, she did not look very happy, pointing her fingers at any random Night Raid member "I refuse to be near any of them, they are our enemies!", the other team saw her as a madwoman.
Mine in particular wasn't happy about seeing her "Our original plan was just to capture Daikon, not have to work with someone like her", she like the others didn't know the plan would alter, but it was a less forceful plan than simply kidnapping a Jaeger.
Run shook his head "I'm afraid we don't have a choice, it's either we all swallow our pride, or make things more difficult for ourselves", everyone else looked at each other with confusion, Night Raid didn't know their plan would alter, and a few Jaegers weren't fans of this idea.
Tatsumi was rubbing his face as his eyes were closed, the pain from Daikon's attack still lingered, but he would understand how dire this situation is, so it didn't matter how much they didn't like the Jaegers "he's right, we need to do this for our survival and to protect the innocents".
Taeko watched as Doya disintegrated into nothingness, no longer able to be summoned by Yastufusa, she lets out a sigh, it would seem her job has become more complicated "I never thought I would work with the Empire, but we'll have to deal with it" she thought to herself, looking a little hesitant.
The rest of the teams would agree to make a truce with each other, Bols would find it a surprise, Daikon and Kurome would be the only 2 to be on board with the truce, but it'll take a while to get used to seeing their former enemies, Akame excluded.
Chelsea and Najenda stood side by side along with Susanoo, the leader of Night Raid smoked her last cigar before tossing it away "Excellent job, I knew I could count on you", she crossed her arms as she watched all the fighting stop "Hopefully we learn to adapt, or else it's the end for us".
The detective would nod in agreement, she was successful in executing her plan, now all she needs is for them to get along for now, though another thought would cross her mind "Mam, what will we do if Bliz ends up destroying the Empire but the Jaegers still stand?".
"That's a good question" Najenda calmly responded, it was a likely possibility since their new enemy is that strong, the closed her eye, imagining what the world will be like if they win "If the Jaegers still live, and they accept our new government, then we'll let them live".
There was another thing she thought about, Akame's resolve to bring Kurome to her side, it would please Akame greatly if she called off the bounty on her head, Najenda glanced at her in the disntance "Also, We'll be cancelling our bounties on Kurome, Daikon, and Bols".
Chelsea was surprised by her comment, she wouldn't argue against it, though it was strange to be letting their enemies live due to the high tensions, this is how serious this new threat was, that one female soldier was still nearby, Najenda acknowledged her "Ah, you're still here".
The woman felt a little intimidated, but the leader was friendly enough, Najenda turned to face her "I've read about you, you're quite skilled for an ordinary soldier, I applaud you for surviving this long in the war", Chelsea took another look at her, astonished by her survival.
"Thank you mam," the green-eyed soldier responds, Najenda would remember an important detail she read about, this woman was a mother looking for her child that was taken by the Empire, her willpower helped guide her through the war.
Najenda kept her arms crossed as she gazed toward the Jaegers, her eye was focused on Daikon, he was meant to be the Empires ultimate weapon besides Esdeath and another unknown teigu, now it looks like Night Raids luck has increased little by little.
While the teams stopped their bickering and tried to get along, Daikon and the sisters talked about their experiences, it was a heartwarming feeling, seeing his friends no longer against each other, he released a sigh of relief, happy to see Kurome's smile much brighter than before.
"Finally, this sibling rivalry is over" he thought to himself, while he was unhappy with Akame leaving at first, hearing her story made it easier to swallow, he never wanted to kill her anyways, neither did he want to see Kurome do it, they were glad to have Akame by their side again.
Hours later
They managed to reach the nearby town Akame had visited in order to recruit Taeko, their presence was quite alarming, especially seeing the Jaegers, thinking it was some sort of investigation, but the citizens would notice they weren't being watched, giving them some relief.
As they walked by, they started hearing citizens talk about something strange that went on "What was with that sudden snow storm we had?" one of them asked, the other scratched his head in curiosity, this would alarm Najenda in particular, since she knew only one person who can cause that to happen.
It took a few minutes to find a good temporary base to use with no one else around, it was a large fortress similar to others they have seen, but it suited assassins a lot more than regular soldiers, so the teams gathered around and discussed what to do next.
Seryu stayed as far away as she could, still can't stand seeing Night Raid, "Well, this may take a while to get used to" Lubbock pointed out as he shrugged, he sat on his own couch while looking at the fireplace, Tatsumi would feel the same way, but he felt he had to do his best to adapt.
"From what I heard, this Bliz guy is a huge problem, wonder how strong he is in person" Daikon glances toward the ceiling, trying to imagine what he would look like, his imagination ran wild with ideas, but he wouldn't find any of them interesting.
Akame would barely notice something different about Daikon, she realized he had no tail "Daikon, what happened to your tail?" she asked with a worried tone, approaching him to check up on him, but he would try to calm her down.
"I had a bad accident, but I was able to recover, so don't worry Akame" his face sweats a little, not expecting Akame's sudden tone shift, Kurome looks down, remembering what caused the loss of his tail, but she kept that to herself.
Despite knowing the truth from Akame, she still feels uneasy to look at Najenda, the woman who caused her sister to defect, but she would try to ask an important question "Should we try to convince the Empire to take this threat more seriously?".
Najenda crossed her arms "They obviously wouldn't be willing to work with the revolutionary, but maybe you Jaegers can tell them to bolster their defenses, they're going to need all the help they can get", most of them can agree to that.
Tatsumi would be reminded of Esdeath, she might be busy with other jobs at the moment, but he would bring her up in conversation "What about Esdeath, if she's still out there, wouldn't she want to challenge this new threat too?", this got everyone thinking.
"She's busy trying to investigate Kyoroch, maybe we can try to ask her if she's willing to agree to our truce" Daikon informed Night Raid of Esdeath's mission, Akame held her sheathed blade tightly, she didn't like hearing about the ice queen.
The Jaegers would find it crucial to tell their leader about Bliz, Tatsumi nodded his head, agreeing that she would take this chance to fight, also remembering she had an interest in him, which could be an advantage in persuading her "I'll try to go to Kyoroch, there has to be a chance to convince her to help".
From the short time he spent with her, he still felt there is a slight chance to change her mind in being with the Empire, but it was still only slight, Esdeath looked like she would never change her ways, Tatsumi could only hope that is false.
Run rested his fingers on his chin, thinking of ways to help the Empire, he stood from his seat with his own plan "Some of us will convince the Empire to strengthen defenses, though I think it's a good Idea to inform the revolutionary as well".
Najenda found this as a good idea, but it would be hard telling them about the truce they made, since many soldiers have been lost in the war "Yes, I'll be handling that to the best of my ability", she would have another thing in mind as well.
She turned to face the detective "Chelsea, I want you to go with Run, disguise yourself as an imperial soldier and see what you can learn from them", Run would show some concern while Seryu only showed anger, like she had enough of hearing them, so she decided to step outside.
"What are you planning Najenda?" Run asked with curiosity, hoping it isn't a plan to backstab them "We agreed to help you, no need to make up any funny ideas", Night Raid's leader shook her head, telling them it's a part of the plan.
"Don't worry, I'm only having her around to back you up in case the Empire was being too stubborn" she responds calmly, Chelsea agreed, she thought of sneaking into areas with sensitive info and spying on conversations.
"What about the rest of us?, we can't be sitting on our asses and doing nothing" Mine crossed her arms, wanting to know what they should do already, everyone would have to agree, they can't be waiting for Run to come back with news.
Run turned to his team, telling them their own plan "Daikon and Kurome, you'll be coming with me in case Bliz decides to attack early, Bols and Seryu will be traveling with Tatsumi to inform our general", Kurome nods while Daikon gave a thumbs up.
The green haired boy decides to have his moment to talk "Sorry to mess up the seriousness here, but I'm still confused about what we should do", Mine and Leone were also confused, too much information being thrown at them all at once.
Najenda would finish telling everyone her plan "Akame and Taeko will be coming with me to inform the revolutionary as guards, the rest of you can provide backup for Tatsumi while Chelsea follows Run's team", most of the planning has finally been complete.
Taeko approached the fireplace, staring at the flames "When should we start our operation, we can't expect to do all this in a single day", she has concerns for what their enemy is capable of, as she never seen them "What if our enemy decides to attack right as we speak?".
This gave Night Raid a creeping anxiety, they've witnessed how strong Bliz is, he could attack the entire world whenever he wanted, Lubbock would try to come up with something "That's true, but we can't overthink everything".
Tatsumi agrees "Yeah, let's try to train and grow trust before rushing our entire mission", Najenda would be glad to hear that, knowing he has been growing as an assassin, it was decided that the combined team of Night Raid and Jaegers will be training for a few days before their operation.
While the fear of Bliz attacking was lingering, Chelsea can hear the arrogance In his voice, he said he can finish them off whenever he wanted to, this could mean he would be confident enough to give everyone time to get stronger without his knowledge.
Run stretched his arms, this was going to be an interesting event, he expected to be fighting against Night Raid, not working with them, but he was smart enough to realize the stakes have changed, he would turn towards the door thinking about Seryu "She really is a stubborn one".
Meanwhile
Seryu and Koro walked through a dirt road, attempting to go back to the big city "I can't believe I would be working with criminals, I would try to kill them right now...but my allies wouldn't allow it" she speculated, still clearly unhappy with the team up.
Koro barked as she lets out a sigh of stress, clenching her prosthetic fist with anger "We don't need Night Raid, we can defeat this threat on our own" she mutters to herself, her dog showing signs of worry for her mental state.
After a few minutes of silence she had calmed down, the sky was still blue, but slowly turning orange as it was closer to sunset, Seryu would grow bored of all the walking, it was going to be a long trip back home, but she felt something was off.
"Koro, radar" she commanded to her teigu, the dog would create a radar for her to use, it was beeping quite often, there was a nearby foe somewhere...but the red dot disappeared, "Huh, an enemy?" she was now on guard, one of her arms transforming into a rifle.
"Show yourself!" she shouted, Seryu slowly walked to her destination while looking out for the enemy, imminently thinking it was a plan by Night Raid "Those criminals, they're using this truce as an advantage to hunt us down" she muttered.
Suddenly her radar was beeping again, Koro started barking more viciously, sensing it was a threat to his owner, he would then bulk up into his brown furred muscular state, Seryu was surprised Koro was thinking on his own "Koro, find out who our stalker is!".
The huge dog teigu sprints into the trees, searching for whoever it was, it snarled as it hunted for it's prey, but little did it know it was the one being hunted, after a moment of confusion, a dark figure punches Koro's stomach, launching him back to Seryu.
"Koro!" she shouts in fear for her friend, she turns back to where he walked, the dark figure would reveal themselves, it was the armored female Bliz had sent, her golden visor stared at seryu with intent to fight, she clenches her fist, her weapon looked very similar to crushing king.
Seryu didn't waste time in trying to talk, she instantly charged forward with a punch, but the hostile easily parried her, she kicks Seryu's jaw with her knee before grabbing her neck and slamming her down, launching a punch with her fist weapon and creating a large crater.
Koro slowly raised back up with a roar, the female suddenly jumps back above him with a powerful kick to the head, the dog was stunned and feeling a little dizzy, but the enemy rapidly punched his stomach with insane speeds, her final punch was powerful enough to launch Koro and Seryu further forward.
The woman in green dusts herself off, coughing from all the debris "Who the hell is this, a rebel spy?" but she would think twice about it, she hasn't heard of other strong rebels besides Night Raid, she wondered if this was one of the new threats she had heard about.
"Who are you!" she yells before pointing at her, the other female remained silent, only clenching both her fists in her own fighting style, whoever this was, she was quite strong, which was to be expected, the enemy powered up with an intense white aura, ready to assassinate this Jaeger with no questions asked.
To be continued...
