After getting Tsunade to help sasuke, kakashi, and lee, naruko was going to meet Iruka at ichiraku ramen but along the way she couldn't stop thinking about how sakura held sasuke when he woke up. A long time ago Akito got hurt and was sent to the hospital. He was knocked out for a while and when he woke up naruko did the same thing sakura did.
Flashback
Naruko, Akito, Amy, Levi, Damien, and Shakira were walking around the forest talking about ramdom things when Amy said "so Akito, why did you want to walk around the forest?" Everyone stopped walking and looked at Akito. "Well, because of my parents I don't get a chance to leave the house much but since my parents are busy today I'd figured that I might as well get some fresh air and take a walk around the forest. I don't get to come here often" Akito said. "It is always nice to stretch our legs and admire nature's beauty" Levi said. "Yeah nature is always beautiful. To bad Yuko couldn't join us" naruko said.
"Remind me again why Yuko couldn't join us?" Damien said. "She's sick" Amy said. Damien scratched the back of his head and said "oh right I forgot." Levi rolled his eyes and said "idiot." "Shut up four eyes" Damien said. "At least I don't forget things that someone told me a few hours ago" Levi said then started glaring at Damien while Damien glared back at him.
"Ok you two break it up. You both promised that you wouldn't do anything to ruin anyone's mood including each other's" naruko said. "Exactly so quit acting like kids or would you rather have Kira pummel you both into the ground" Amy said. Both Levi and Damien turned their heads to see Shakira's mad expression and said in a panic "ok we'll stop." "Good now with that aside, let's keep walking. We said that we'd take a peaceful walk through the forest so let's not do anything to disrupted the peace ok" Shakira said. "Ok" everyone said then continued walking.
After a bit of walking they stopped to take a break. Akito went over to naruko and said "hey kitty." Naruko looked at Akito and said "yeah Akito?" "Thanks for coming with me and inviting your friends, this has been fun" Akito said. Naruko blushed, looked away, and said "y-you don't need to thank me. I'm always happy to hang out with you."
Naruko and Akito quickly looked back at the others when they heard Levi and Damien arguing. They saw the two fighting then saw Shakira throwing rocks at them. "Do they always argue?" Akito said. "Believe it or not they don't fight all the time" naruko said and then her and Akito started laughing. "You know we should hang out more often but just me and you" Akito said.
Naruko was blushing like crazy when they heard Amy shout "Akito, naruko, watch out!" They looked over to see a rock hurdling towards them both of them. They quickly ducked below the rock before it could hit them causing the rock to hit the tree behind them.
"What the hell!" Naruko shouted mad. As her and Akito were getting up they heard something snap. Looking up they saw a bunch of tree branches falling towards them. Before naruko could do anything Akito quickly pushed her out of the way leaving him to get crushed.
Everyone's eyes widened in horror "Akito!" Naruko shouted then ran over to remove the branches. Everyone else ran over to help naruko remove the branches. When they removed the branches they saw Akito laying on the floor passed out in a puddle of blood.
Levi started to search Akito's body for a pulse. He was extremely relieved when he found it. He then stood up and said "guys stay here I'll go get help." Levi ran as fast as he could while everyone stayed behind. After a while Levi came back with a couple of medical ninjas. They carefully picked Akito up and they all made their way back to the village.
At the hospital they where informed that Akito's injures were nothing serious but he would be unconscious for a couple of days. The whole time Akito was in the hospital naruko would visit him every day to watch over him and make sure nothing bad happened to him.
A week later naruko was sitting next to Akito's bed when she heard someone knocking on the door. She looked at the door and said "come in." The door opened and Shakira came in. "Hey kitty" Shakira said. "Hey Kira" naruko said. Shakira sat down next to naruko and said "how is he doing?" "He's doing fine" naruko said.
After a bit of silence Shakira said "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to throw that rock at the both of you and I'm sorry that I haven't apologized yet or come to visit him. I was scared that you'd be mad a me." "It's ok. I know that you didn't mean to do that and I'll be honest I was mad at first but the next day I was pretty much over it so don't worry. I'm not blaming you for what happened it was an accident" naruko said.
Shakira sighed in relief then they looked at Akito when they heard him making noises. When naruko saw him slowly open his eyes she put her hand over her mouth and started crying. "Akito" naruko said. That caused him to sit up and look at the girls.
When Akito sat up naruko immediately hugged him. Shakira stood up, smiled, and said "I'll give you guys some privacy." She then left the room. When naruko heard the door close she let go of Akito and slapped him in the face.
Akito held his cheek and looked at naruko. She had a mad expression with tears rolling down her cheeks. "You idiot. Why did you do that? You could've gotten yourself killed. I could have moved out of the way myself. You scared the living hell out of me you asshole" naruko said frustrated.
Akito smiled as he held naruko's hands and said "I'm really sorry I scared you but I wanted to make sure that you wouldn't get hurt. I can't stand to see the people I care about hurt especially you. You're really important to me and I'd rather get hurt than see you hurt." "Akito" naruko said then hugged Akito again crying.
Flashback End
Naruko was brought out of her thoughts what she heard someone say "hey naruko." She looked up and saw Iruka as she quickly realized that she was in front of the ramen shop. Naruko smiled and said "hey Iruka-sensei."
They then went in. As they were eating Iruka said "naruko is everything ok? You seemed pretty distracted on your way here." "Everything is fine it's just that I can't stop thinking about what happened at the hospital" naruko said. "Why? What happened?" Iruka asked. "Well… when sasuke woke up of course sakura hugged him but when I turned to leave he pushed sakura off him, grabbed my wrist, and pulled me in for a hug" naruko said trying to avoid what she's really thinking about.
This really surprised Iruka. Sasuke has never given anyone a hug before. "I don't think that he was in his right mind. He looked pretty dazed when he woke up all though I don't know why when I was about to leave he said 'don't go' like he really didn't want me to leave" naruko said. Iruka chuckled and said "well that's certainly surprising but it is also surprising on how far yours and sasuke bond has come." Naruko looked at Iruka confused and said "what do you mean Iruka-sensei?"
"It's funny to think how you two were always fighting, couldn't stand being around one other, as well as refusing to talk to each other but now you two can stand by each other, talk to one other and work as a team. You even went though the trouble to bring Tsunade here to heal him. Even if you two can fight at times you both still get along way better than you did as kids" Iruka said.
Naruko was surprised. She never really thought about her bond with sasuke before but thinking about it now she realized that what Iruka said was true. Their bond had improved a lot. "Yeah I guess it has improved a lot and I'll try to continue to improve it but not just with sasuke or sakura but with all of my other comrades as well" naruko said. Iruka smiled, placed his hand on naruko's head, and said "I know you'll do your best."
