I don't own Halo or Stargate SG-1

Hello readers, it's been some time. So this is was the last chapter of the three shot. From the looks of things the stories plot has been well received by the crossover community of Halo and Stargate so provided nothing major happens with the community, I think we can add this to the rotation.

Like I said in the last chapter, this one will be written close to the canon script. I hope I will not have to do this again but we can only hope. Alo chapter may not be as long form here on in. Mainly because I'm getting busy with college. With this creative writing class I am taking I;ve had to devote a lot of fanfic writing time to it. For a count we are looking in the ball park of 5,000 or so words.

Now for Guest views, with a good friend of mine.

Guest (Reply by Czechus): *Suddenly appears behind the Guest and stares at him, malevolently… and then calms down* …You know, funny that you ask this because I remember – a few years ago – I asked a very similar question to Slim (and a few other writers) about making a B312 story in PJOverse, with a similar story set of B312 being a Son of Artemis… Long story short, a few years later, I have my own story about B312 in PJOverse called "Out of Reach"… Some people liked it… Maybe you will as well? I hope you will…New readers are always welcome!

Austin (Reply by slim): Hey Austin good to see you again. Yeah spit blue people, I really don't care for that movie really for that very reason. If they are in this story (which I don't plan on) it probably wouldn't end well for them. I mean I can appreciate going all Captain Kirk on em alien babes even though I have stopping points. Such as turning your back on humanity just for some alien oven action. Anyways its good to see you again Austin.

Now the story.

Six had made it a point to be on guard with the Nasyans in the SGC. Taking on so many people at once posed some security risks to SGC. So many unknown people meant that some things could be sneaked in, it was also a good way for spies to get in. He himself had done something similar when on an infiltration mission, blending in with a large crowd was a good way to get into places without drawing too much attention. It was also alarming to see such little security checks being made to stop such a thing from happening if what SG-1 said in the debriefing was true. The Nasyans were attacked for seemingly no reason, it was very possible that the Goa'uld were trying to get in a spy.

The spartan voiced his concerns to General Hammond and the general posted a few extra guards where the Nasyans were being kept as well as a few more at the nearby hospital currently treating the injured. It was better than nothing Six relented, but he wished for something more thorough. He had to remind himself that this humanity was not like his own and despite how more technology advanced his humanity was, this humanity was better off at the moment. They had yet to step up their game in the name of survival, but Six supposed it might be a good thing.

Six did notice one thing. Samantha had not been acting her normal self, despite Six having only known her for a day. However, being in armor all the time meant Spartans could read body language better than people who did not specialize in reading body language. Even then a trained professional had to analyze a video to truly catch everything. A spartan on the other hand could catch even the most subtle of body language cues.

Samantha stuck Six as a woman who was confident in her abilities as well as comfortable around the SGC. She also seemed to have a sense of adventure, she liked to meet new things and try to understand them. However, at the moment she seems more rigid, on edge, like she was being hunted by an invisible elite. Every unexpected noise had her eyes shot forward to it, every airman she passed she had her eye on them as if expecting one of them to draw a weapon. Then there were the few times they crossed paths. She looked at him as if he were some new weapon to be feared if it ended up in the wrong hands. This look was not too different from what he got in his own universe but the differences were there. Something was off about Samantha.

If he had more standing here Six might have brought it up with the general, but as it stood the captain was far more trusting than he was. If he questioned her reactions to him now and he provided to be wrong, then it would make settling into the SGC all the harder. All he could do for now was watch and observe until he gets damning evidence to back his theories.

Though Six would not have to wait long as Captain Samantha would out herself as not normal. After she had returned from the hospital to visit a friend, SG-1 was given orders to return to the planet and try and find out why the Goa'uld attacked the Nasyans. It was then Major O'Neill came in and attempted to sedate Samantha only to find that she was not affected by the sedation drugs. She attempted to run through the gate but found it shut down before she could make it though she then pulled out her sidearm and demanded it to be turned back on.

That was all Six needed to intervene. Six activated his active camouflage and approached the captain. In one swift motion, Six disarmed her and gently kicked out her feet, and held her to the floor. He deactivated his cloak just as the guards flooded into the room. Soon after she was fully sedated and taken in for testing only to find that Six's theories held true. Captain Samantha Carter had a Goa'uld parasite in her body. SG-1 spoke with the general and Six busied himself with watching the Goa'uld infecting the captain. He was invisible in the room with her so if she did something Six would know.

"I know you're there." The Goa'uld's deep voice came through Samantha's voice.

Six had a feeling she knew but there was an art to being inviable. In the end, when someone knew that someone had the ability to turn invisible it became a game of patience, and if assassination training told him anything it was how to be patient. Waiting days on end not moving to wait for a shot that might never come while remaining completely aware of one's surroundings. Six would not make a move unless he had to.

Though that did not stop the Goa'uld from speaking.

"I cannot escape so there is no point in hiding." There was a pause. "I could get you anything you want if you help me get through the Stargate."

It was then the door opened and in stepped O'Neill. The Goa'uld looked at O'Neill with mild annoyance but otherwise, she was passive. Before O'Neill could speak the Goa'uld inside Samantha spoke.

"Tell your machine to show itself, I know it's here." She demanded.

An odd thing to say if Six's briefing on the Goa'uld was anything to go by. The Goa'uld would have Samantha's memories meaning it would have been aware that Six was a super soldier. It then occurred to him that it might have been a ploy to get a reaction out of him. Little did the Goa'uld know that such name-calling was common in his universe.

O'Neill looked around before he walked over to her cell. "Well, the thing is he is helping search the Nasyans for any more Goa'uld that might have snuck in. But that's not important here, now let's talk about how you really screwed up here you know. I mean you really blew it."

The Goa'uld shook Samantha's head and replied. "You are weak."

"Who's behind bars right now?" O'Neill asked mockingly.

"Your tactics will not work on me."

O'Neill stepped closer to the cell. "Not buying it uh?"

Six might have resorted to more… painful methods to get the information out of the alien infecting the captain. however, the fact that it was in the captain's body made interrogating the creature all the more difficult. The Goa'uld's access to Samantha's memories would mean it would know the interrogation techniques that they might employ. Using human nature of being social beings was often used against another human, it worked more often and had a lesser chance of producing a false positive. Though the main drawback being it took much longer.

"You must let me go."

interrogating an unknown alien in a body of a comrade made it even more difficult. Six had a feeling they would have to make a deal with the alien to get it to talk.

"Ah, no."

"You have no idea why this is happening." The Goa'uld replied walking back to her bed and sitting on it.

"And I guess you don't feel like telling me."

Eventually, O'Neill pulled up a chair and the two began staring at each other. This went on for ten minutes before the Goa'uld quietly demand to be released again, O'Neill remained silent.

"Let me go through the stargate and I will find another host and I will send your friend back to you." The Goa'uld added, standing up from the bed and approaching the cell door.

O'Neill stood as well. "You can do that? Leave a host without killing them?"

"Yes, it is possible but not easy. I could die but I promise you I would try."

'Interesting that leaving a host could kill them. A weakness perhaps.' Six thought to himself.

"The Nasyan man died when you left him," O'Neill recalled.

"The Nasyan man died first, that is why I left him." The Goa'uld countered. "He was beyond my natural abilities to heal."

"What were you doing in him in the first place?"

"Carter's mind would be intact." The Goa'uld pressed the subject of the captain. "She would return to you as you knew her before."

"You know I can't trust you."

"I could have killed you and many others before that thing stopped me from going through the Stargate."

"You didn't want to die yourself," O'Neill replied instantly. "And that thing has a name."

"Even the machine would not have killed me, I am too valuable."

"And that's why we will never let you go," O'Neill replied before turning away and heading towards the door.

"I have done nothing to harm you!" Six almost let out a chuckle. "But you would not let me go even if you did believe me."

There was a pause while O'Neill waited for the guard to open the door. Samantha flinched.

"Oh, God. He is telling you the truth! Please, Jack." O'Neill did not turn to face the Goa'uld knowing full well what it was trying to do. Though he was slipping, he banged on the door to get the guard to hurry up. "No Jack don't leave me please give me a chance." The door opened and O'Neill almost bolted out. "Don't leave me like this! Please!"

As soon as O'Neill left the Goa'uld stopped pretending to be Samantha and returned to a disgruntled passive state.

"What will it take?" It asked itself, its voice turning to its deepened form.

Sometime later the Goa'uld asked to see Teal'c. The Jaffa came five minutes later and asked what she wanted.

"Jaffa you must convince the humans to let me go."

"They will not let you go." Came Teal'c's fast and simple reply, it almost made Six laugh.

"They are impressive, the Tau'r have become very powerful since the Goa'uld reigned here. From what that Machine called Six said they will continue to be even more powerful. Currently, the System Lords will not allow this to go unchecked. I can provide the humans with information that can help them defend against attack."

"They are and will become more powerful than you know. Already a Goa'uld attack on Earth has been thwarted."

"Then an even more powerful assault is being planned."

"They are not fools, they believe you are here to see to their destruction."

The Goa'uld approached the cell door again. "Not all Goa'uld are the same. There are a few that oppose the System Lords and their ways you must have heard of the Tok'ra."

Teal'c gets closer to the cell door as well. "Every Goa'uld seeks power for their own reason or betrays their own brother to achieve it."

"Some seek power for a greater purpose. Not every Goa'uld is an enemy to the people of this planet. The Tok'ra are real no matter what Apophis has told you."

"I have yet to meet one."

"You have now. I am Jolinar of Malkshur."

That seemed to have an effect on Teal'c as he left immediately and soon returned with O'Neill.

"Can you be sure he is who he says he is?" O'Neill asked the jaffa.

"I cannot."

"Unfortunately, we do not carry identification," Jolinar stated, pushing himself off the wall.

"Ok let's try and build a little trust here, shall we? One of the Nasyans we bought back was very badly burned but somehow just got up out of his hospital bed and disappeared. Who is he?"

She lowed her head in thought before answering. "It must be the Ashrak."

O'Neill raised an eyebrow and looked at Tau'ri.

"The type of Goa'uld agent I had confused for Six."

"An assassin of the highest rank," Jolinar added. "And carries out the orders of the system lords."

"Who is he here to kill?" O'Neill asked.

"Me," Jolinar answered swallowing nervously.

The next group to enter the holding cell rooms was Daniel, Teal'c, and a guard. Daniel asked for the description of the Ashrak but said he would not know him until he stood before him. Jolinar went on to say that no matter what the Ashrak would find him no matter what they did, and that by killing him the captain would die too. The only way to save her was to let him go. Daniel refused and left soon after.

Another thirty minutes passed, and the base alarms began going off. Six was tempted to leave but had a feeling the trouble would come to Jolinar and by extension Six. Just as Six had hopped a guard entered the room approached the cell door and pulled the door open. Six approached the Goa'uld assassin from behind, his steps as silent as a reaper.

The Ashrak greeted Jolinar in their own language. "By order of the system Lords, you will die with dishonor by the power of the Hara'kesh."

"My death does not come for me this day," Jolinar answered with a slight smirk on her face.

Noble Six then grabbed the assassin by the head and threw him into the jail bars. A crunching sound echoed through the room as the assassin fell unconscious. Jolinar did not move and kept his hands behind his back, only looking down at the assassin.

"I knew you were there." Jolinar declared as Six decloaked and grabbed the assassin disarming him and tossing him into the opposing jail cell.

Six reached up to his helmet radio and activated it. "This is Six, intruder under custody, stand down from alert."

Six then walked over to the only undamaged cell door remaining and pushed it open. He turned to Jolinar and waited. He stepped out of his cell and moved into the cell next to the one he used to be in. Six closed the door and stepped back waiting for the guards to arrive. After the base had calmed down, General Hammond ordered a meeting with all available members of SG-1 as well as Six present. This time however they had constructed a chair that could support Six's weight. The entire thing was built from titanium with heavily reinforced leather padding. Six was unsure of the chair at first but once he sat down, he found the chair held. Thought it did groan and creek under his armor's weight. The Spartan-III waited for a moment before turning to the General. He seemed pleased that the reinforced chair they brought in was living up to expectations.

"You know I take back everything I said or might have thought of you Six." O'Neill beamed at the spartan.

"Indeed, it would seem Six's patience has been rewarded. We now possess another Goa'uld prisoner." Teal'c observed with a slight smile.

"And with no way to get the Goa'uld out of them," Daniel added.

"Not Untrue, if Jolinar speaks the truth, the Tok'ra may have a method to remove the Goa'uld from Dr. Carter."

"Well, I don't think Jolinar is going to tell us what they are," O'Neill observed before cracking a joke. "Unless they have a "Get your evil Goa'uld out, here" sign lying around that we happen to miss."

"Six, do you think you could find them?" The General asked the super soldier.

"I would have to infiltrate a Goa'uld base and search their databases for any leads. It will take time but if they're out there, I'll find them. Just put me on a Goa'uld-occupied planet and I take it from there Sir." Six replied, he was eager to get back out in the field, having been sitting on his hands for too long was a waste of his skill.

"Very well, Six you have my approval." General Hammond granted. "Your official orders are to find these Tok'ra and report back to us. Your mission begins in three hours."

Six stood from his chair and saluted. "I'll get it done Sir."

Six left the meeting room soon after. Returning to his room Six began to prepare himself for the mission ahead. He doubled check each of his armor's systems making sure they would not fail in the field. After that, he made his way to the armory and exchanged a few words with the quartermaster while he gathered Six's requested gear. He took with him a Ka-Bar, the standard issued knife for the United States Marines, while far weaker than his own knife. Yet, it was still a bladed weapon Six could turn into a ruthless taker of life. For ranged options, Six opted for the standard service rifle and hand pistol. With ammo for each and a backpack to carry some other objects.

Six was given a briefing about the planet he would be going to, threat assessment, expecting enemy forces, and the works. After that, he began to make his way towards the stargate. The gate room was buzzing with noise as the stargate began to power up. Six was given a rather boxy computer, the technician informing him that the computer had a program that would translate the Goa'uld language into English. Though he did warn Six that the program was still very new and more than a few words would not translate well. Six thanked the technician and placed the computer in his backpack.

The Stargate activated soon after, the unstable vortex splashing outward before falling back into the Stargate. Six learned in his basic understanding of the Stargate functions was that the vortex would destroy anything caught in its blast zone.

"Six you're a go for the mission." The general's voice came over the intercom.

Six nodded to the general before turning and making his way up the ramp, his Promethean watcher following after him. Passing into the stargate portal Six was transported across the galaxy. Moments later Six stepped onto a stone platform that was housing the Stargate. In the distance was a primitive-looking town with a large pyramid sitting behind it.

'Time to get to work.' Six thought before jogging towards the town.

Six would be the first to admit that he was rather let down by the Goa'uld's lack of countermeasures when it came to espionage. That was not to say that their controlled towns, ships, and other facilities did not have security. Quite the opposite, in fact, patrols were abundant, crackdowns on possible rebellious people were common, and the Jaffa were far more observant than normal humans. However, as it appeared to Six most of their securities' strength lay in its ability to catch the perpetrator after the damage had been done. Six was witness to a few sabotages performed by other Goa'uld infiltrators. Most of the time the infiltrator would accomplish their goal narrowly make it out or as of two times be caught, tortured for information, then killed.

The Spartan-III on the other hand was far better at remaining hidden after he struck. Since his mission was to find the Tok'ra, not cause damage. As such accessing terminals and getting the information he needed meant that no corpses were required. If one was good enough, that is. Six was more than qualified to get to a terminal without drawing the guard's attention. Six also noted that the Jaffa were not trained to locate invisible enemies unlike many of the Covenant's forces. The challenge was mainly the laptop that was given to him was borderline useless.

Errors in the translation software were common. When it did work the most he got was "here devoted" or "normal actions", clearly some words were being missed or miss interpreted in translation. There was also a small problem with battery life. Despite the computer having a larger than normal battery as well as him having three spares, they only lasted him a month before he was forced to find another method. Which led him to his current position.

"Hmm, this report only talks about troop movements to scare off possible attacks." Horl translated from the parchment in front of him.

Horl was a hermit living some distance away from the city of the world Six found himself on. He had long since left the original world he had been sent to once he learned it was a minor outpost. Six stowed away on a transport that was heading for a more important world. It was here that he had spent most of his time. He had come across the hermit after he saved him from being taken in for questioning. Lucky Horl spoke an older version of German as well as Goa'uld, the former one of the few languages Six could speak other than English. Horl had come to call Six Schattenjäger, or shadow-hunter in English.

Six was leaning up against a window keeping a lookout while Horl translated the symbols Six had transcribed. Most of it was simple troop movements, labor reports, or decrees that were about to go into effect. Something would turn up eventually, all Six had to do was be patient.

"Ah, here is something of interest!" Horl spoke up excited about something. Six turned his head to the hermit. "This report of a public address telling of "false gods" who move in the shadows, skipping over a lot of the propaganda, goes on to say the order of gods have divined the location of one of their hideouts and plan to purge the galaxy."

"Does it give any specifics or names of those who do?" Six asked interested.

Horl's face fell, and he shook his head. "No, I fear that your timetables might have been sped up Schattenjäger."

Six hummed in agreement. He supposed it was time to switch up his tactics and begin to take a more physical approach. Six thanked Horl for his work and handed him a bag of coins, the currency for this world. Six left Horl's house soon after his watcher joined him in the woods before he began moving back toward the city. A plan began to formulate in his mind. After slipping past the outer guards and avoiding the city's patrols, Six reached the main administration building for the Goa'uld. There was a lower-ranking Goa'uld administrator who lived in the upper levers of the towering building. Slipping past the tower guards Six came across the Goa'uld. The alien had taken the body of, what most people would say, an attractive woman. She was grooming herself in her personal quarters before going to bed. She was guarded by four Jaffa, two outside her room and two inside standing at attention.

Six then decided to cause a little disturbance further down the hall leading to the Goa'uld's room. The two Jaffa at attention brought their staff weapons to bare in response to the disturbance. One of the Jafa nodded to the other to which he nodded before they both began to move down the hall to investigate the sound. Meanwhile, Six was waiting patiently in the shadows nearby, waiting for his opportunity to strike. As soon as they passed Six struck, killing the first with his knife, and then proceeded to set upon the other before he had time to react. The whole ambush lasted only for a moment. Six made sure to properly hide the bodies so as to not draw attention. Just as he finished hiding the last Jaffa corpse, his enhanced hearing picked up the sound of the door to the Goa'uld's room opening.

"Jaffa Kree!" One of the Jaffa called out to his now-dead comrades.

Not getting a response, the last two Jaffa went to investigate. They too fell into Six's ambush. Meanwhile, the Goa'uld inside had not been idle in her moments while her guards were being executed. After noticing that her guards had yet to return she went for a weapon hidden in her dresser's compartment. The weapon was some sort of serpent-looking side arm that spun up when activated. Six had come across the weapon and learned that it held a stun function, yet it was very noisy making it counterproductive to Six's methods. The Goa'uld aimed the weapon at the doors waiting for something to enter from the hallway. There was but one entrance into the Goa'uld's room, but it had a balcony, one which Six was going to exploit. Stepping out of a window Six climbed his way over to the barony, activating his active camouflage as he vaulted over the railing.

Stalking up to the Goa'uld, Six grabbed the weapon before tossing it out of the Goa'uld's unsuspecting grip. She cried out in shock and tried to run for the door but Six quickly grabbed her and tossed her back into the room. The Goa'uld went siding back across the ground from the Spartan's toss before hitting the wall moments later. She let out a gasp as she hit the wall. Six approached the door to her chambers, closing and locking them.

The Goa'uld got back up and began saying something in her language, most likely a demand to show himself if Six had to guess. However, there was one word that Six did recognize. She had said Tok'ra.

'She thinks I'm a Tok'ra spy.' Six thought to himself. He would have loved to play on that false assumption, but he couldn't speak their language meaning it would be hard to pull off. More importantly, she knew what a Tok'ra was. The Spartan then decided to opt for another method.

"No, have information I want." Six began pitching his voice to sound younger, leaving out a few words to make it seem like he could barely speak the language.

The Goa'uld quickly switched her tone from afraid to superior, assuming now that Six was a local.

"Impotent mortal, you dare lay a hand on your god!" She hissed in the local language seemingly forgetting how much danger she was in.

"Yes." Six answered approaching the alien grabbing her by the throat and dragging her toward the balcony.

She squirmed and attempted to use her race's greater strength to break out of Six's hold. Yet she was not dealing with a normal human. Once Six reach the balcony, the spartan kicked the railing causing it to fly off. Six then held the Goa'uld over the side. She stopped struggling and held onto the Spartan's outstretched arm.

"I want to know where Tok'ra are." Six began. "Answer quickly."

"Why should I t-tell you, even if you k-kill me your n-never get out of here." The Goa'uld choked trying to stall for time.

"My family housed a Tok'ra spy. When she found, she fled, leaving my family for dead. My family died when Jaffa came for her. She must pay for actions."

The Goa'uld quickly jumped on Six's lie, seeing it as a chance to manipulate him. "Y-you were used by the false gods. You seek revenge, I can help you."

"No," Six countered slipping into his made-up character. "No more outsiders, just me. I avenge my family by own hand. I know you learned where they hiding, I want know."

"None but the high g-gods know of their location." The alien argued. "I must request the information, if you kill me y-you will never get it."

"Then false god spoke truth." Six replied. "You not gods, gods know all things. Or they should."

Six could see the panic begin to set in the alien's eyes, as she could only guess how much this made up Tok'ra told Six's constructed persona. "We are all-knowing!"

"Then tell me where!" Six raised his voice.

"They are not on this world foolish mortal! They are through the Chappa'ai-"

'The stargate, meaning they are on a planet with a stargate.' Six translated

"You know not how to operate it!"

"I know how. Works like code, enter correct code and the gate opens. Tell me the Tok'ra's code!" Six began to fake his arm tiring, he loosened his grip on the alien.

"I can write it!" The Goa'uld panicky admitted.

Six tossed her back onto the balcony. "Then write! No lie! Or else I come back."

The Goa'uld began to crawl over to a table grabbing paper and a writing utensil. She began to write down the symbols engraved on the stargate in a seven-digit order. She then tossed the paper towards the balcony.

"There! The gods will bring down their wrath upon you!" She declared pulling herself to her feet.

"No, they won't." Six answered dropping the act.

A bullet found itself in the upper neck of the Goa'uld, killing both the alien and the host in moments.

'Mission accomplished.' Six said to himself as he began to exfil from the tower.

"Unscheduled off-world activation!" Master Sargent Walter called as the Stargate began to activate.

General Hammond and the active members of SG-1 approached the viewing screen. The Gate iris closed before the stargate could finish processing the incoming wormhole. Soon enough the blue light from the stargate shined from the room. Moments later Walter spoke again.

"Reserving IDC…" He paused as he waited for the computer to finish analyzing the code. "Sir, it's Noble Six."

"Open the Iris," Hammond ordered.

The gate's iris began to pull back and an all-clear message was sent back to the other side. Moments later the imposing Spartan and his drone follower soon exited.

"Security team stand down," Hammond ordered, turning away from the intercom and heading down to the gate room.

Six had just finished stepping off the ramp when Hammond, O'Neill, and Teal'c entered the gate room. Six saluted the general.

"Sir, Noble Six reporting. Mission accomplished." Six reported dropping the salute.

"Well done son. Debriefing in an hour." Hammond answered, pleased with the Spartan's success. "SG-1 be ready to move out as soon as we finish debriefing Noble Six."

"Sir." O'Neill acknowledged stepping aside and letting Hammond pass him. The colonel turned back to face Six who was handing his weapons, aside from the forerunning shotgun, to the waiting airmen personnel. "Six good to see you, it's been…" he paused to look at his watch. "A while."

"Approximately two months and three days, Colonel O'Neill." Teal'c corrected O'Neill. "I am pleased to see you return as well Spartan Six."

"Good to be back." Six answered. "Now If you would excuse me, I have a debriefing to prepare for."

Teal'c did a short bow and O'Neill nodded his head. His Debriefing was relatively short, it was not the first after-infiltration debrief he had. Tell them what happen, not necessarily what you did. In fact, it was relaxed, even compared to his debriefs with ONI. Soon enough Six was back in the meeting room with Hammond and the rest of the active members of SG-1.

"From the information Six has gathered he has determined that the planet designated P34-353J is the current base of the Tok'ra." General Hammond began showing the spatial map of the now-named planet. "The Goa'uld are also aware of their presence and are preparing a strike force to destroy them. Now we don't know if the Tok'ra are aware of this threat but in the event that they don't we can use this to get into their good graces."

"Supposing they don't shoot us as soon as we show up at their base," O'Neill commented.

"That's why I want Noble Six to join you on this mission," Hammond added. "With him there I feel your odds are much better."

"I look forward to fighting alongside you Spartan Six," Teal'c commented.

"Ready for a field trip with us normal soldiers?" O'Neill asked jokingly.

"I'm always ready Colonel." Six replied.

"If you are to convince the Tok'ra to ally with us we will make preparations to send both Samantha and Sargent Adams through. Failing that, Six see if you can find anything that could help us free our people." Hammond continued on. "Hopefully it won't come to that. You leave as soon as the M.A.L.P. gives the all clear."

Around two hours later SG-1, Noble Six, and the watcher drone stood, or floated, before the gate waiting for it to finish dialing. Once the gate was finished and the gate opened the four of them began making their way into the gate. After they entered they soon found themselves standing on a stone platform surrounded by the sands of what was assumed to be a desert. The group then looked around and began scanning their surroundings.

"There has been no activity near this gate," Teal'c observed.

"Organizations as small as the Tok'ra don't survive long if they don't learn to cover their tracks." Six noted. "I imagine they have ambushes set up around here."

"You sure, maybe we can follow the yellow brick road." O'Neill's dry humor followed.

"It's what I would have done. However, if they're smart, they'll try to say out of sight. The only reason they would show themselves is if they wanted to be seen or we got too close to something important."

"So, we start wandering?" Daniel asked.

"Can your drone, thing, help us out here?" O'Neill asked gesturing to the watcher hovering above Six.

Six turned to the watcher. "Search for concealed organisms."

The watcher made a few noises before it flew into the air high above the sand dunes. It stayed there for a few moments before it came back. Suddenly Six's HUD was beginning to show multiple markers.

"So?" O'Neill asked.

"The watcher marked several waypoints on my HUD," Six reported, pointing in the direction of the waypoints. "On the other side of that dune, towards the west about half a klick out, the largest group being the one beyond the sand dune."

"You know, I'm calling dibs on the next Watcher we come across." O'Neill declared. "Let's go say hi to our new friends."

"I'll follow while remaining in stealth colonel." Six added.

"Uh, no offense Six but you kinda stick out," Daniel commented.

Six replied by activating his active camouflage, the watcher following with him.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you could do that," O'Neill asked.

"It was a parting gift from an enemy soldier." Six answered.

"Well, let's get going kids," O'Neill stated standing off the platform, the others following after him.

SG-1 approached the dune that Six had pointed out, stopping from getting any closer in case of any nearby traps that were waiting for them.

O'Neill cupped his hands to his mouth and called out. "Hey we know you're there, we want to talk!"

Nothing happened.

"We are enemies of the Goa'uld, during a battle one of your fellow Tok'ra found his way into one of our soldiers. His name is Jolinar of Malkshur!" Daniel called out before O'Neill could continue. "We also had another one of our own taken as a host by a Goa'uld Ashrak and we would like your help in freeing him!"

This time a figure from beneath the sand stood up. He was wearing a type of skin-tone leather, with a type of clothing under the layers of leather. He looked young and was only armed with one of the Goa'uld side weapons.

"How can I know what you say is the truth?" He asked scanning the three before him.

"We would like our people returned to us. We will be more than happy to bring them from our planet once we reach some form of agreement." Daniel answered.

The supposed Tok'ra looked down at a mound next to him. Moments later two squads' worth of humans raised themselves out of the sand. They were all clothed similarly, each of them holding a staff weapon or a sidearm. None of them pointed their weapons at SG-1 but they were still tense. An order-looking man stepped forward.

"We would be willing to speak with you if you are willing to show us our comrade." He stated firmly.

"How do we know you're not going to shoot us after we bring him here?" O'Neill countered defensively.

"O'Neill, if these are the Tok'ra of legend, then they will not betray us," Teal'c commented as a matter of fact.

A few moments passed before O'Neill spoke up. "Alright, we'll make a call."

SG-1 returned to the gate. The Tok'ra followed but kept their distance. Six had already slipped into their flanks. He'd rather have the upper hand on them should anything go wrong. O'Neill spoke with Hammond through the stargate, informing him of the situation. It took a little reassurance, but Hammond cleared the release of Jolinar. The gate closed soon after, and thirty minutes passed before it reopened. Two members of SG-5 came through fully kitted and armed. Samantha came through after being escorted by the three other members of SG-5. Samantha was in military sweats cuffed by her legs and arms. Reignition soon fell on Samantha's face as Jolinar recognized the humans around them. His eyes quickly fell on the first human to stand and greet SG-1.

"I'm sure you don't mind that we took precautions," O'Neill commented seeing the negative expression the Tok'ra had at seeing one of their own in chains.

The younger man spoke up in the Goa'uld language. Jolinar returned a few sentences. The man turned to the older Tok'ra and nodded.

"We thank you for returning one of our own. We are willing to speak with you now. If you would release our comrade."

O'Neill look like he was about to protest but a look from Daniel stopped him. With O'Neill's go-ahead one of the members of SG-5 released Jolinar. From there they were taken back to where they had laid their ambush.

"There is one other small thing we ask." The older man started. "You must leave your weapons behind with your compatriots."

"Not happening." O'Neill declared.

"You will not be harmed, O'Neill." Jolinar spoke up.

"You are the last person I want to hear from." O'Neill quickly countered.

"O'Neill I believe we are in good hands," Teal'c added closing four fingers so that six would still remain extended.

O'Neill caught on to Teal'c hidden meaning.

"Alright," O'Neill remarked before beginning to take off his gear, the rest of SG-1 followed suit.

Six made sure to get close to the rest of SG-1. He knew that the Goa'uld has transporters in the form of rings. If they were standing on a hidden platform, he would need to be close. As he expected the younger man asked the team to stand close to each other, and rings shot out of the sound surrounding them. In the next moment, SG-1 found themselves in a cave, the walls resembling crystals that cracked ever so often.

SG-1 was then led to another room. The first Tok'ra SG-1 met meanwhile spoke to Jolinar along the way. When they stopped they came to a medium-sized room with two tables in the middle with what looked like to be a shallow pool of water in the middle of it. A woman sat beyond two Tok'ra guards, the older Tok'ra approaching the two guards before turning back to SG-1.

" Allow me to introduce Garshaw of Belote." The older Tok'ra introduced.

The woman stood from her crystal chair and walked forward past the guards. She was wearing a type of purple dress with a polished rock necklace. Some might consider her beautiful but to Six she was just another possible threat

"Greetings." She looked over SG-1 sizing them up.

Teal'c seemed to recognize the woman as he whispered to O'Neill. "She is the most hunted Goa'uld of all time."

However, Garshaw overhead him as she narrowed her eyes slightly. "We would prefer it if you do not call us Goa'uld."

"Yeah, we got something like that outside, so what do you want us to call you?" O'Neill asked.

Garshaw approached the three. "I assume you are from the first world, The Tau'ri?"

"Yeah, we are."

"Is it true that you are the ones to have rid the galaxy of Ra?"

"Yeah, that's us."

"Then in a sense, you are Tok'ra."

Daniel's eyes seemed to light up. "Of course, Tok'ra, against Ra. Thank you for sharing that."

" At least we're getting somewhere," O'Neill observed.

"You also returned one of our members to us, Jolinar." She nodded to Jolinar who returned the nod.

"I must add, my host was unwilling. I was forced to bond with her to save myself." Joilnar added, who might have sounded remorseful.

"And there's that." O'Neill quickly added. "You see we were hoping you could get your friend out of Samantha."

Garshaw looked over to Jolinar with an air of slight disappointment but understanding. "I see, I am afraid that may be impossible at this time."

"And why not?" O'Neill almost demanded.

"We are in a short supply of hosts. It would take time for us to find a willing host for Jolinar." The younger-looking Tok'ra informed SG-1. "Though you did say you had a comrade who had an Ashrak take him as a host, we would be more than willing to remove the Goa'uld from him." The Tok'ra added trying to add something positive for them to focus on.

"If you bring this man to us we will be able to remove the Goa'uld." Garshaw confirmed. "However, we would like to keep the Goa'uld to interrogate."

"Fine by us." O'Neill agreed but was still unsatisfied that Carter would remain trapped in her own body. "I'll go back and get our other solder."

O'Neill turned to leave but was stopped by the guards.

"We will relay your request to your comrades," Garshaw added. "In the meantime, we must debrief Jolinar."

"Are we prisoners?" O'Neill asked pointedly.

"No, you are guests." Garshaw corrected the colonel. "Your aid to us this day shall not be forgotten. You wished to create an alliance with us, yes? I will convene with the council and they shall hear your offer."

The gathered Tok'ra began to file out of the room leaving only the guards behind, they took Jolinar with them. Once they were gone O'Neill approached Daniel.

"I have a bad feeling about this."

"They said they were going to get us a meeting with their council and they're going to get the Goa'uld out of Sargent Adams. That's what we came here for." Daniel countered.

"Yeah but she's still trapped in her own body!" O'Neill angrily added. "How do we know they are even going to let her go?"

"I suppose we will need to trust them."

"Yeah, well they're not making it easy," O'Neill growled going back to his seat.

An hour passed. The guards watching the remaining members of SG-1 stepped aside allowing Garshaw to enter along with more guards. She looked angry.

"What is the meaning of this?" Garshaw demanded.

"Hold on now we haven't done anything."

"Jolinar informed us that you have brought a machine assassin with you!"

The thoughts of SG-1 instantly went to Six.

"He's not an assassin or a machine." O'Neill countered. "And he's not here, you're not the only ones having to deal with the Goa'uld you know. Our world was already attacked once and we only barely managed to beat them back."

Realization dawned on the Tok'ra's face. "That was you? Do you know how many of our operatives died onboard those ships?!"

"Our planet was being attacked at the time, and we didn't even know you guys existed." O'Neill rebutted. "You know it's getting hard to tell the difference between the Goa'uld and you Tok'ra guys."

"Jake-" Daniel began only to have O'Neill silence him.

"I have told you already we are not Goa'uld." Garshaw's eyes flashed.

"If the shoe fits."

"What Colonel O'Neill is trying to say," Daniel began speaking quickly so as not to be interrupted by O'Neill again. "We need to build some trust between ourselves."

"We have already removed the Ashrak in your comrade's body, and the council shall convene soon."

"And we appreciate that. However, we still would like some reassurance that we can trust you."

Garshaw's head lowered for a moment before coming back up. Her demeanor changed from one of seriousness to cheerfulness in a moment. "Hello, I am Yosuuf, Garshaw's host. I speak freely without restraint or censorship. I can understand your concern, but the Tok'ra are not like the Goa'uld. I wanted to be bonded to Garshaw. With our bounding, I gain all of her memories, knowledge, wisdom, and a longer life. All I must do is share my physical body."

"And give up your soul along with it," O'Neill added.

"What you understand as a "soul" remains intact," Yosuuf reassured O'Neill.

"So this is a symbiotic relationship?" Daniel asked, to which Yosuuf noted.

"It is also our greatest weakness. As you had heard before, the Tok'ra will only take a willing host. I am sorry that Jolinar was forced to take Samantha as a host but please understand she had vital intelligence that she needed to get back to us. If you need proof of our claim you need only follow me."

Yosuuf beckoned for SG-1 to follow her and they did. They were taken to a chamber where a very old woman was lying down on a platform. A few other women were tending to her. Yosuuf explained that the Tok'ra before them was named Selmak, currently the oldest and wisest of them. However, Selmak's host had become too old for Selmak to keep alive and thus would die with her host if they could not find a new one for Selmak. Yosuuf had asked if one of SG-1 would be willing to host Selmak to which each member declined. This surfaced another question for Yosuuf, if the people of Earth were not willing to become hosts, then how would they form an alliance?

Soon after they were led to another room that had just been constructed using the crystals that lined every surface of this place. The council arrived and thus the negotiations began. They were not going well.

"You must understand that we are the most hated enemy of the Goa'uld. To form an alliance with the people of the Tau'ri will expose us to the Goa'uld. You say you are not willing to become hosts so you must have something else to offer us." A female member of the council explained after the first few offers SG-1 made were waved off.

"There must be some technology we can give you?" Daniel offered.

The older Toc'ra quickly answered him. "We are infiltrators, any technology not of Goa'uld origin is useless to us. We must for all intents and purposes, appear like Goa'uld."

"There is however one thing we are interested in." Garshaw began. "The Machine called Noble Six that Jolinar described. We would like for it to be transferred over it us."

"Now wait a minute what gives you the right to commandeer one of our guys?" O'Neill asked pointedly.

"We do not believe what the Machine told you during your first encounter with it was true. The notion of an alternate reality far different from our own is too farfetched. This is clearly an advanced machine from an advanced race. We cannot let a race so young operate such a dangerous machine."

Six narrowed his eyes at the council. If Emile were he would have given them a piece of his mind.

"Forget it, Six is working with us and we're not handing HIM over just because you guys can't play nice." O'Neill declared.

Before they could reply one of the Toc'ra guards approached Garshaw and whispered something into her ear. She answered and then motioned for Jolinar to approach. Garshaw and Jolinar held a short conversation before she dismissed herself. Garshaw returned to the table and spoke.

"Another squad of your comrades arrived to bring news to Joinar's host. It would seem that her father is on his deathbed and has requested that she be allowed to return to see her father. Jolinar has requested to return to Earth, I will allow one of your team to return with her." Garshaw informed SG-1.

"We can't let one of you wander around our world, take Joinar out of Samantha," O'Neill answered sternly.

"We have already told you that we cannot without finding a new host for Jolinar. While Joinar has been forced to suppress her host, she still feels for her loss and wishes to allow her host to pay her respects to her father. We will have to keep the rest of you here to ensure that Jolinar will be returned to us once she has allowed her host to pay her respects."

O'Neill narrowed his eyes. The only power he had here was to say no and he could not let Samantha be away from her father when he was about to die. Snake or no snake.

"Fine, I'll be the one going." O'Neill relented.

"Very good then we will continue this meeting in the meantime." Garshaw nodded to the Toc'ra guards who escorted O'Neill out. "Let us return to our original topic, if you are not going to hand over the machine or provide hosts for us then I'm afraid there is nothing else you can offer us."

"The Goa'uld know where your base is and there is a fleet currently being put together to attack.." Daniel admitted much to the Toc'ra's surprise.

"Why was this not brought to our attention earlier!" The older male Toc'ra demanded."

"We had hoped that we could work out some form of alliance before we let you know about that," Daniel answered.

"How did you obtain this information?"

"Six integrated a Goa'uld governor, it's how we found your stargate address."

"If this is true then we must make ready to leave immediately." Another Toc'ra council member ordered.

"But that goes to show our point there is something we can give you, information."

"As well as assist you in battle," Teal'c added.

"Our battles are done in the shadows, rarely do we fight in the light, and while this information is new to us our own information network is already in place." She paused to look at her fellow counselors before looking back to SG-1. "We do not see a compelling reason to expose ourselves for this alliance. You will remain here until Joinar has returned."

The council then turned and left the room leaving SG-1 behind. Six narrowed his eyes but stopped himself from speaking to Daniel as he had a feeling that he was not going to want to fight his way out. They would just have to wait until O'Neill returned.

"You going to let Samantha out now," O'Neill asked pointedly as two the approached her father's room.

"When we arrive, I will," Jolinar answered. "She is still aware of herself Colonel I am only stopping her from taking control and searching my memories."

"Well enjoy your ride because you're not going to be in there for much longer."

"Despite what you may believe I do not want an unwilling host. I will leave as soon as a new host is available, and you will have your comrade back."

The door to Jacob Carter's room opened and the man in the bed looked over to see his daughter. He sighed and then gave her a sad smile. General Hammond, who was sitting by the bed then stood up and ordered the nurses out of the room. Samantha lowered her head for a moment before it came back up. Her once passive expression changed to worry as she rushed over to her father's side. O'Neill leaned up against the wall, letting the nurses leave the room.

"I told you not to recall her," Jacob complained.

"Good to see you too dad." Samantha gently took her father's hand.

"You wanted me to tell you what Samantha does. So I thought I let her tell you." General Hammond began.

Samantha and O'Neill gave the General a surprised look. Samantha then looked off to the side as if someone had just spoken to her.

"Yeah? What happened to the classification?" Jacob asked while Samantha continued to stare off into the distance.

"You have been given clearance."

Jacob looked back at his daughter. "Something wrong Sam?"

As if broken from a trance she looked back. "Dad, if we had a way to cure you would you take it?"

O'Neill caught on quickly and push himself off the wall but General Hammond stopped him from saying anything.

Jacob smiled. "They got me on the best meds we have sweety. If there was a cure I wouldn't be here."

"Well, this cure is not from Earth. Have you heard of the Stargate program?"

"Not from Earth? What did you guys get to Mars and find some little green men who are willing to help." Jacob sarcastically retorted before pausing to cough. "Don't tell me you got some kind of spaceship or something. Come on, tell me the truth."

"She is telling you the truth Jacob just listen." General Hammond interrupted.

"We discovered an alien device that can transport people all over the galaxy. A small division of the U.S. Military has been using the Alien device, called the stargate, to travel to other worlds." She paused. "We've met some alien life, some friendly-"

"And some not so friendly." Jacob finished.

"Yes… during a mission, one such alien got inside me-"

Jacob's eyes widen and concern dominated his face. "What… did you get it out?!"

"Not… yet… you see there is a race of symbiotic aliens called Goa'uld. They take humans as hosts and masquerade as gods to control their followers."

"And one of those is inside of you?!"

"Yes but she belongs to a group called the Toc'ra, they oppose the Goa'uld. You see they only take willing hosts, the one I had was forced to jump into me to save herself. We recently made contact with the rest of Toc'ra but one of their leader's hosts is about to die and Selmak, the Toc'ra, needs a new host."

"So you want me to put one of these Toc'ra guys inside of me."

"Yes, Selmak will be able to heal you. You just need to share your body with her."

"Like your doing with yours?" Jacob asked looking skeptical.

"She's a soldier dad, sometimes she has to do things even she doesn't want to do to complete the mission."

Jacob leaned let his head rest against his pillow as he contemplated what his daughter just told him.

Noble Six watched as members of the SGC help the Toc'ra move their equipment. Danial had offered to help soon after the Toc'ra started scrambling. Help which the Toc'ra accepted. Six simply took to watching over the SGC personnel as they moved crates to the transporter. However, that changed when the teleporter activated depositing O'Neill, Samantha, and an older man. Danial went to greet his team members who told him that the older man has here to see about becoming a host for Selmak.

After explaining their intent to Garshaw they were escorted to Selmak. O'Neill did not go with them. Instead, he found a quiet spot and grabbed his radio.

"Six," O'Neill whispered into the radio.

Six approached the Colonel. "Yes, Colonel O'Neill."

O'Neill slightly jumped as Six spoke. "Couldn't have just replied over the radio."

"I can't be sure they would interpret the signal."

"Whatever just say close to me I'm going to have a look around."

"Roger." Six replied causing O'Neill to start walking down the crystal corridors.

The two evenly came to the room that was being packed by a Toc'ra council member, Cordesh if Six remembered correctly. O'Neill did not walk in instead deciding to stay close to the wall next to the entrance as he peered into the room. Six, being invisible, stalked into the room taking a closer look at what the alien was packing. Mostly clothes and other personal items. O'Neill must have seen something as he swiftly pulled away from the door and began to leave. Six followed after him.

"What did you see?"

"He's got one of those communication ball things," O'Neill whispered back.

"What does it look like?"

"Is a small bronze ball, when it's working whoever you're talking to will appear on the ball."

"Is it secure?"

"We're about to find out."

Just as O'Neill found the rest of the team the base shook. Apparently, two Goa'uld warships had just arrived above the planet and were beginning their attack. Someone had tipped them off to the evacuation. O'Neill gave Six a hand gesture to move out. Six wasted no time in heading toward the teleporter. Once the spartan was topside his ears immediately caught on to the sound of Goa'uld fighters approaching with larger bomber spacecraft accompanying them. The fighters began to fire upon the ground while the bombers dropped their payloads near the teleporter. Further, away more bomber-type spacecraft were landing, most likely to drop off troops. Six started moving toward the drop zone. The Toc'ra and SG-1 still need more time, and Six was going to get them that time.

Six deactivated his clock as he appeared over the sand ridge. They had already landed two companies worth of Jaffa on the ground and they were marching towards him. Lifting his rifle Six took aim at the first column and began to pick off the rear Jaffa. As three of their comrades died from Six's precision shooting, the forward line began to charge while firing their staff weapons in Six's direction. However, with the jaffa running their shots were inaccurate, and more times than not missed Six completely or hit the sand dune he was using as cover.

More jaffa bodies hit the ground as Six slowly picked them off one at a time. Six's watcher began firing its own weapon system as the Jaffa began climbing the sand dune. The orange bolts stuck the Jaffa's armor, burning a hole clean through them, resulting in them falling down dead on the spot. More Jaffa fell to Six's fire yet more were being deployed from the bomber spacecraft. Not too unlike his firefight against the covenant back on Reach.

Some of the Jaffa made it to the top of the dune before Six could put them down. Six grabbed the forerunner shotgun from his back and pointed the weapon at the closest Jaffa. Pulling the trigger resulted in a blast of orange energy pellets flying into the approaching Jaffa. The Jaffa was thrown to the ground, his body soon disintegrating into orange particles as he hit the ground. Two more Jaffa soon meet the same fate as the first. One had managed to close the distance with Six yet the spartan easily avoided the telegraphed overhead swing. Drawing his sidearm Six put a bullet in his head before putting two more bullets into the heads of two other charging Jaffa. The watcher also started to open fire on the other remaining charging Jaffa.

Some Jaffa paused from the charge and began to fire at Six and his watcher. Yet the Spartan dodged out of the way while continuing to return fire into the ranks of the still-approaching soldiers. This pattern of dodging incoming fire and firing at the charging Jaffa continued, rows of bodies beginning to form as more fell, attempting to use overwhelming tactics against the spartan and his watcher. His shields were beginning to fail as a few lucky plasma bolts managed to score a hit. However, the Jaffa were forced to slow down as they had to jump over the bodies of their fallen comrades just to get to Six.

The sound of gunfire drew Six's attention toward the Toc'ra base. O'Neill and the other members of SG-1 were laying down fire support for Six. O'Neill had called for Six to retreat towards the stargate. Six then began to fall back and continued to return fire, taking down any Jaffa that attempted to follow him, of which there were many that tried. SG-1 began to retreat as Six began to fall back. With many Jaffa hot on their tail Daniel began to deli Earth with the older man and Garshaw taking cover near the stargate. Six took a position in front of Danie,l using himself to cover the doctor while he operated the dialing device.

A few more plasma bolts stuck Six's shields before Daniel opened the gate. They all retread into the gate once the clear was given to them.

"Close the iris!" General Hammond ordered as Six exited the gate.

The Stargate's iris closed, and three thumps echoed throughout the room before the gate closed.

"You alright Six?" O'Neill asked, drawing the Spartan's attention.

"Green, Sir." Six answered lowering his weapon.

"So, this is the machine and its drone," Garshaw observed looking over Six and his watcher with a critical eye.

"Six is not a machine." O'Neill defended the spartan stepping in Garshaw's line of sight. "He's a member of the SGC and he just saved your sorry asses against all those Jaffa. So how about we show a little appreciation."

"This only serves to show that it is a dangerous-"

"HE," O'Neill interrupted. "You keep referring to him like he is an object and we're going to have a problem."

"Stand down Colonel." General Hammond ordered. "SG-1, Noble Six, your relieved, debriefing in an hour."

Six was more than happy to follow the general's orders. The spartan passed by the three Toc'ra without a word. As the Wolf of Earth marched back to his room.

And we come to the end. Thank you for reading and all that jazzy stuff.

God bless and be sure to get your papers done. I know I'm putting off mine.
