Hello everyone we are back with the final chapter for the first arc, and this one is quite a fucking rollercoaster. Let's get into it!
Jebest4781: ….Y-Yeah, totally connected to the Sinestro Corp that…..doesn't exist right now. Moving on, yeah who knows what Hellgirl wants to show him, it will be fun. Yeah I had everything planned but then I decided, maybe I should just try a whole new story series, and I have the first volume so far. I can't even fucking care enough anymore what was good in Dark Crisis, it was THAT bad. Oh god don't even get me started on Marvel's constant Spider-Man baggage. Status Quo is just meaningless in DC and Marvel. Anyways, enjoy the chapter!
Bromega2477: You know it! Enjoy!
Spiral-Voltron-Zero0Q1: Thanks! Yes the short stories will have erotic scenes just like my new one does: Calamity Trio. Enjoy!
Yakuza2010: Yep but answers just lead to more and more and MORE questions, of course Ghia'a has a lot to learn about being a hero, and I feel this chapter gives everyone an idea what I strive for when it comes to this story. Something I liked about MHA but felt its kind of rushing to get. Mmm, I looked up the movie, it was alright not something I'm really planning on using. I appreciate the idea tho. Enjoy!
Raidentensho: Hmm, maybe, maybe it is here name. Mmm, probably no Janitor stuff, I did plan originally but I felt it would take away from the more serious edge of this moment. I'll do Stan Lee stuff for Marvelous Devil. Mmmm doesn't use flames of fear, but it is interesting on the Spectrum Skill Tree. Enjoy!
Hunter41963801: Thanks! Enjoy!
Gwb620: Lets be honest here, anything is better than CW Batwoman. Hell watching people suffer watch Batwoman is funnier than the show. Yeah I just felt like it makes him feel more like a character, I'm always working hard to make sure he isn't a mary sue ya know? Cause a character can't ever be really nice and be that, they always have to have a LOT of baggage. Anyways, enjoy!
Blindluck92: That perfectly sums up Sparda for my story….or I guess him in general since his power is still regarded as the literal top five beings in DMC (Dante, Vergil, Nero, and Mundus being the other four.)...Also he split his power through his three swords as stated in DMC5 lore. Crazy shit. Yeah Tala is a fun little case, gonna go through her own journey….same with Jennifer I'm gonna have more fun with her. Trust me, trust me, I wanna get back to the simple and relaxing and much more fun anime fun humor. I've been writing enough emotional baggage, anymore and I'll end up like Saiya's Edgelord….Isun….No wait it's Iros…..No…No wait it's Ralem…..fuck it all of them. I promise the next two chapters are much more chill chapters. But first, we gotta get through this. Enjoy!
Chapter Three: Itsy Bitsy Devil Finale: Inner Fear
(A Devil's Justice) (Play Dark Souls OST - Chaos Witch Quelaag)
Ragna felt every part of him scream in terror at the arachnid hybrid, her…its…tail lunging at him at inhuman speed. Ragna's body twisted to the side, using his blade to block the stinger, pushing him back from the surprised force of it. The demon was clearly stronger than before, and faster too. Ragna quickly went on the defensive as the Brood Mother quickly lunged after him, jabbing her tail at him multiple times. Ragna blocked them all with Morningstar, trying to gain some distance from her. He pulls out Hyde and fires out several rounds, but the demon easily evades them and slashes at his chest. Ragna jumped back and swung his blade, slicing off a few fingers.
"SKRA! Damn you!" The Brood Mother hissed in pain, before her fingers grew back. Once Ragna had gained some distance, the Brood Mother finally got a good look of the masked hero, recognizing his red hood and mask from the tv. As the human side of her recognized the hero, the demon did not remember how it knew of the name…..but it knew regardless.
"You….You're S-Sparda….Traitor…That filthy male!" The Brood Mother's eyes began twitching, one hand clutching her head for a second before shaking the pain away.
"So….have you come to kill me?! Afraid of a woman in charge of the world?"
"More like what you plan to unleash upon the world." Ragna retorted, looking down to see a small spider hatched from an egg, shivering in disgust before stomping his boot down on it. That did not go without consequences, the Brood Mother hissing in rage and lunging at Ragna.
"Of course you are afraid of nature taking its revenge! You're just like everyone else! Unappreciative of my children! You fail to see what good they do! What I see in them!" She roared as she charged after him. Ragna rolled out of her tail strike as it plunged into the ground, taking this moment to jump into the air and hop off her tail, followed with planting his boots into her head. He pushed her off balance before landing back on his feet, as the demon rolled back onto her eight legs.
Ragna felt something try to crawl up his leg, letting out a small gasp of fear as one of the arachnids made its way up his shirt. He quickly pulled it off his chest, the demon hissing as it tried to bite him, while the Brood Mother charged at him again. Thinking fast, Ragna hurled the demon spider towards the arachnid queen, she had no time to catch it as it exploded across her face, blinding her. Ragna tried to go for his sword but suddenly another spider appeared on his arm, the hybrid letting out a small scream of terror, slapping it off his arm while the demoness finally cleared his vision, hissing at Ragna. He tried to reach for his pistols, but he ended up catching two spiders that were crawling up his belt, the hybrid letting out a surprise squeal and throwing them into the walls.
"I think you and I have different ideas of what is good when it comes to demons." Ragna growled, jumping over her slash and spin kicking her in the head, knocking her away. Hearing something crack, Ragna turned over to see one of the large eggs pop, with over a dozen demon spiders, followed by three others. Ragna gagged in disgust before jolting in panic once they began crawling towards him. Taking Morningstar he stabbed the blade into the Earth, hopping onto the handle while the blade burst into flames, scaring the spiders away and keep the hatchlings at a distance, giving Ragna a moment of relief.
"Of course we do! I have been given a chance to cleanse this pathetic world and all of its problems!" The Brood Mother roared, lunging at hybrid easily jumped over the attack, calling his blade and landing onto the stage, aiming his blade at the Queen.
"The world is a disease, it is infected with a scourge of pest, and it needs to be cured!" The Brood Mother hissed, her body seemingly growing big by a few more inches.
"I! AM! THAT! CURE!"
"Jeez, what delusion did you put in this girl to be so twisted?" Ragna asked, the Brood Mother letting out a sinister chuckle.
"Parker and I saw eye to eye, and because of that….we became so much more! Because of her, I am now able to save my kind, and with this power I shall take this world and weave it into our image." The Brood Mother cackled, as her body became more grotesque. All the while Ragna remained quiet, digesting what she said….and not believing it. A human…..willingly gave themselves to a demon? No, humans did bad things….but bonding with a demon had no right result…..he has seen first hand.
"No…..No I don't believe that. You tricked her!" Ragna declared.
"Humans are…..terrible creatures…her heart was filled with rage: At those around her, at those she called family…We simply gave her purpose and power. Now…." The Brood Mother slowly walked over to one of the large eggs, showing one of the high schoolers inside.
"Now she takes what she wants, and we bring back the resurrection of the Phantom Clan." The Brood Mother hissed, turning back to Ragna. Before the hybrid could respond, he felt something crawl up his pants, his body frozen in fear as he looked down. Demonic hatchlings crawled up his pants while the bigger ones held his legs in place but it didn't matter, Ragna's entire body was already frozen in place. Memories flashed in his head: The webs…..the demons…the laughing. He was so engrossed in his memories the demonic arachnids had his lower half immobilized, the Brood Mother slowly making her towards the hybrid hero.
"Come….let me show you our future." The demon hissed, crawling up the stage as their children crawled around the hybrid. Its body towered over Ragna, several eyes staring down at Ragna as it placed long talons on the hybrid's shoulders.
"Join the Brood." She began leaning down, puckering her lips as something began traveling up her throat. Ragna's senses became dull, his body slacking, as the arachnids slowly began to encase him in webbing. He felt his very core frozen in terror, he saw the nightmares…..the demons…..the spiders…the world…..Aunt Leslie…..Ghia'ta…..Diana...
"GRAH!"
A primal roar resonated within him, as a storm shot through his body, and everything happened in a flash of light. The arachnids were turned into red mist, the Brood Queen knocked across the gym and into the wall while Ragna reappeared within the center of the gym. The red arcs of lightning dancing across his body, bolts shooting out of his eyes erratically. The lightning was unlike his infernal flames, where they danced around him like an aura of power, these arcs mainly moved across his feet and arms. Ragna stared down his body, unlike his Inferno Mode where he felt hot, he felt…..excited. Like an adrenaline rush, the world was slow around him, he could move anywhere.
All of it came to a fleeting moment, the lightning dissipating away with the hybrid placing a hand on his neck, turning to face the Brood Queen as she finally pulled herself out of the wall.
"There will never be a day where I even think about joining you, this spider hivemind, or any of demonkind. I'm getting these kids out of here!" Ragna declared, reaching for his blade. Maybe his actions didn't share his voice, he couldn't let these kids suffer any longer. The Brood Mother looked over at the large eggs nearby, the teens wrapped inside, before turning back to Ragna. She gave a sneer before crawling over to one of the large eggs, pulling down several webs revealing a teen.
"You think you can save them? Heheheheh….No, no you can't save them…..they are already in the process of the transfiguration."
"WHAT?!" Ragna exclaimed, before he heard cracking beside him, eyes twisting to see one of the larger eggs cracking open to reveal one cracking open with a large arachnid roaring with life. Soon more popped and began crawling across the gym floor. Ragna swung his blade, but to his surprise they began making their way towards the wall and doors, digging through the material to the outside world. It took Ragna a moment to realize, hearing the screaming of pain outside from Jennifer's dome, what these were like the one he shot.
"You….you turned them into demons." Ragna whispered, shoulders slumping in horror. The ones he had killed….No..
"Yes! These foolish humans are now apart of me, some become my great soldiers, others my hatchlings for spreading the Brood! No one can stop us!" The Demon roared, her body growing a few more feet now easily towering over Ragna and nearly reaching the height of the original spider demon. Mandiples ripped out of her upper lips and even more eyes appeared on her head, her body becoming more and more arachnid by the second.
"That's all I needed to hear." Ragna's eyes widened when a gruff voice spoke on his comm.
"Frankenstein?"
"Did ya hear that, Red? We're going with Plan B." Frankenstein growled, demons roaring on his end.
"I heard." Hellgirl spoke over the comms followed by several gunshots.
"Wait! What's Plan B?!" Ragna exclaimed, jumping back as the demon lunged at him.
"These things keep trying to dig up more tunnels throughout the school, and the more we take out the more that keep popping up. We're activating the Hail Mary and blowing this school sky high." Frankenstein said from his end. The undead agent blew off the head of an arachnid that tried to dig itself a hole within the school's science lab. Frankenstein had heard the whole conversation between the bastard Son of Sparda and the Demon Spider. Now knowing that the kids inside this school were either transforming into demons or already are was enough to convince him.
Reaching into his jacket, he pulled out a small C4 clay, the notable thing about it was the jar of golden liquid inside. Taking the C4 he slammed it onto the table and made his way out of the room where more demons appeared, pulling out two more and unsheathing his blade.
"W-Wait no! We can't do that! W-We can still save them!" Ragna argued, jumping away from the Brood Mother.
"Sorry Kid, but you heard her! They're already gone!" Hellgirl stated, shooting down demons from within the basement. She took her fist and slammed it into the wall, destroying the hole one of them tried to make.
"It's only a matter of time before they break out and we won't be able to stop them from overrunning the city!" Frankenstein growled. Ragna tried to find some reason they could be saved, as more of the bigger eggs began cracking and the arachnids spilled out by the dozens. He had to save them, he couldn't let them down…..not anymore…..not like Little Gr-
"R-Ragna…." Said hybrid's eyes widened hearing Jennifer's voice call out to him.
"Jennifer?"
"My…m-magic…its…d-depleting…"
"Jennifer? JENNIFER?!"
(A Devil's Justice)
"Ragna….hurry." Jennifer moaned as he knees finally buckled, yet she still kept the dome of chaotic flames up. Chaos ran amok as SWAT and soldiers gunned down demons before being torn apart by the arachnids. More SWAT arrived just as more BPRD soldiers did with heavy weaponry, shooting the demons as the kept sprouting from underground. One tried to gorge on a cop, only for Wonder Woman to slice it in half with her blade. The Amazon hurled her shield into the side of a demon, taking her sword and slicing its head off and pulling out her shield. Diana looked across the what could be described as a battle. Demons kept pushing out, cops and soldiers holding down the perimeter of the school while Jennifer kept the flame dome up.
She saw no sign of Tala, little sow probably ran away in all the chaos, but her attention turned back to the school. She saw nor heard any sign of Ragna once Tala told him of the demon and human bonded soul. She wondered what sort of person would bond themselves willingly to a monstrous creature of inferno. She hoped…..that Ragna will be alright. She did not doubt his skill…..but she saw how he reacted to the demon originally. She saw it in his eyes, eyes that she had when she was a child training against monsters: Fear. Fear was a powerful weapon, Fear could stop even the bravest of Amazons. It was fear that she felt would falter Ragna….and it was her own fear of…watching him die in her arms once again.
"SKRA!" An arachnid lunged at her, but the Amazon held her shield blocking its strikes and slamming her blade through its skull. The demon tried to move a few more times before it was shot several times in the head courtesy of Decker and Sophie.
"I need more men on the West Wing ASAP." Decker ordered through her walkie talkie, reloading her empty pistol and standing side by side Sophie as more demons begin spilling out.
"Ma'am, we have a problem." An officer called out followed by screaming and crying, Decker and Sophie turning around to see what could be over a dozen civilians. Wonder Woman realized they were older folk like her mother, which she could only surmise that these were parents, her question answered when a woman cried out falling in an officers arms.
"P-Please, my son is in there! Please!" She cried as the officer and who could only be her husband helped her back on her feet. The parents had saw or received the news and notification of Redgrave High School being completely taken over by some red webbing. Fear instantly spread within their hearts, fear for their children, and soon.
Chaos followed.
"Get back everyone, get back!" An officer ordered, trying desperately to keep them away from the school and horde of demon spiders. His efforts were fruitless as something tossed him aside, the man rolling across the ground. Just as he pushed himself back up, a scream erupted from his throat as one of the larger demons screeched and lunged at him, eating him alive. The parents cried out as the demon tore the officer apart, only to finally turn its attention on them, hissing through bloody jagged teeth.
Just as it lunged, a large object collided into its side, the parents look in awe as Diana took her shield and slammed it into the arachnid's head, squishing it. She pulled her shield back and stood between the parents and the demons. One tried charging but the Amazon slid onto her knees, slicing the demons left legs off, jumping on its back and stabbing her blade into its skull. She jumped over the other one and pulled out her lasso, wrapping the golden rope around its body before hurling it into the air. With all her strength, she launched it towards the dome, watching it burn to ashes.
Another one lunged at her side knocking her shield away, Wonder Woman used her free hand to hold it up while aiming her blade at its throat. However, another one gripped her arm and knocked the blade away, luckily it could dig into her bracelets. Diana pulled her arm free and held both demons by their necks, and with a grunt she slammed their heads together. Infernal blood splattered across her suit, dripping down it and onto the ground while the Amazon dropped the bodies. Another one lunged at her, but Wonder Woman grabbed it by the pincers and held it back. With a mighty battle cry, she slammed her crown into the demons skull, smashing it, and dropping the dead body.
"Is everyone alright?" Diana asked, turning to the parents as she grabbed her sword and shield.
"...Our…..our son is still in there." A man of African ethnicity stated, holding his wife.
"I understand, and the hero Sparda is inside right now and he will get them out. Now please step back, and I promise none of you will be harmed!" Diana declared, turning to face the horde of demons.
"Who is this again?" A woman asked from the back.
"That's Wonder Woman!"
With that, Diana charged into the demons, pushing them back into the battle as they were gunned down. Meanwhile, Jennifer groaned and sweated as she continued to hold the flames up. Her magic was strong, being one of the greatest in Skartaris….but she could not use a single spell for a long period of time, especially one of this caliber, and it was clearly a glass cannon when it came to demons. She could feel them push against the dome, burning against it but continued nonetheless. This sort of spell required her concentration and both hands, it didn't matter how big the dome was, so long as the flames were produced.
Still, she stayed strong, slowly standing back on her legs and putting more magic within the flaming wall. She had to do this, she couldn't fail the others around her, she couldn't fail Ragna…..she feared what would happen if they failed. With a strained gasp, Jennifer spoke in a tongue never heard of, the flames burning hotter as the demons burned against it. Her focus was pulled away when she heard hissing beside her, turning to see a demonic arachnid finally turning its attention on her. Jennifer's eyes widened in horror as the demon began slowly crawling towards her. From afar, Diana's eyes widened in horror seeing the demon slowly crawl towards the sorceress, but she was surrounded and nearly held by demons to assist. The demon let out a roar as it began standing on its back legs, only for a beam of pure darkness to blast a hole in its chest.
"You're welcome." Jennifer turned to see Tala standing on top of a dead demon, a small glare in her eyes before she turned to see several more climbing out of the hole.
"Dark Hanarasi." Tala chanted, forming a white and black flame in her hand before tossing it into the hole, a small explosion and several demons screaming in pain dying inside. Tala hopped off the demon and began walking towards some more, careful in not stepping on any dead cops or demons as she did not wear shoes. She hated this, dealing with all of this was simply too much work, why hasn't her Beloved Son of Sparda already dealt with them. She knew he was clearly more powerful than these little gnats, though she supposed it had something to do with his fear of spiders. She couldn't blame him, while it did look rather sad, she too hated bugs and arachnids. Of course, with her magic she can now deal with it personally.
"Ancha Death Ranciscalla!" Tala held her hand out, firing a barrage of skull-like flames that completely obliterated the demons. She was not the Sorceress of Dark Arts for nothing, she may not be of Sorceress Supreme status, but she likes to think herself above the average spell caster. Hearing roaring behind her, she conjured a black flaming blade that materialized through the demon's body, before it sliced the arachnid into ribbons. Tala looked towards the dome, her eyes narrowed at the chaotic flames, she recognized that orange burning gaze back at her and she wondered how Jennifer could use such…..chaotic magic. Questions for later, for now she will deal in sorting these demons…maybe she'll convince Beloved for a reward. Hearing a roar behind her, Tala turned around to see Bride killing the demon, glaring at the dark sorceress before running towards some demons.
Bride easily slid under a demon firing several shots under its body, standing back up and jumping over the now dead demon and pulling out a grenade. She tossed it into one of the nearby holes, watching it explode and collapse as she landed on another demon. With a strained grunt she slammed her boot into its pincer breaking it off, picking it up and stabbing it into another demons head, twisting her boot and snapping the neck of the one she stood on. To her this was just another mission, but the worry did come to her that if she failed the whole world would suffer. She wondered, could the Son of Sparda pull this off, could he be like the legend that was the Dark Knight Sparda? Bride would contemplate it later as she landed behind Jennifer, shooting down demons giving the sorceress protection.
"They….they just keep coming out." Sophie muttered as she and Decker stood behind a car, watching as the demons spilled out. The more they killed the more appeared, it was endless, it was chaotic.
"We….we can't keep this up." Decker muttered. Her mind playing back to that night with the Paladins: her men killed, surrounded by hundreds of those fanatics…..the Fear of Death.
"We will not give up!" Wonder Woman exclaimed, cutting through the demons and pushing towards Jennifer, using her shield to protect the sorceress.
"Well we can't use our magic forever, and she is clearly tiring out." Tala stated as she blasted a hole into a demon, ducking under a swing and incinerating it.
"Ragna…..please….hurry." Jennifer whispered.
"It doesn't matter how many come, as an Amazon and a hero, I will not stop fighting!" Diana declared, sweat and blood beading down her head as the demons roared at her…..right before several gunshots echoed across the battleground and their heads exploded.
"I wouldn't worry about fighting anymore, Wonder Lady." The three women looked over to see Frankenstein pulling himself out of a hole with several dead demons inside. Once he was out he pulled out an oversized grenade and tossed it inside, collapsing the cave as he made his way towards the three.
"...Where is Ragna?" Diana asked, glaring up at the undead agent.
"If he's smart he'll evacuate before the Hail Mary, cause that stuff might get him too." Frankenstein stated.
"What the hell does that mean?" Tala muttered, blasting away an arachnid.
"Hellgirl, are you out yet?" Frankenstein asked over his comm.
"Frank, what is going on?" Bride asked, walking up to her ex. Suddenly everyone's attention was pulled towards Jennifer, the sorceress fell to her knees collapsing on all four. Finally, the dome of flame flickered away, revealing the much larger horde of arachnids. One took a single step forward, and seeing that the flames were no longer there, let out a vicious roar.
"I'm sorry…..I couldn't hold out any longer…" Jennifer moaned as the demons charged.
"Shit!" Bride cursed as the demons began charging out. Frankenstein and Bride opened fire while Diana sliced through the horde. The demons tore through soldiers and began making a beeline for the civilians. However Diana caved through several and cut them apart, standing between the parents and demons, cutting any down who charged.
"Oh my god….that's David's necklace!"
"What?" Diana turned around to see one of the parents standing over a dead spider, gesturing to something around the demons neck. Diana ran over and kneeled beside the dead beast, seeing the metal cross dangling around its neck.
"NO! NO!" The Mother began bawling as Diana pulled the necklace off. Slowly standing up she looked down at the demon and took in its features, realizing something was very wrong with it. While most of its body was rocky texture and spikes, she noticed some sort of skin stretched and ripped across parts of its body. Some fabric on its back legs, like they were torn apart via a transformation.
"SKRA!" Diana turned around to see another demon standing not that far from her, but unlike the others that attacked, this one simply clicked its tongue. Many parents tried to run, all but two mothers, who took a closer look at the creature.
"...Ellie?!" One of them cried as Diana slid between them and the creature. Their cries and hold on her arms fell on deaf ears as she took the creature's features, seeing that the skin on its body was stretched out…..but it was a face. One of its eyes was even blue, and a few strands of hair on its head as if it was balding.
BANG
"NO!" Both mothers cried as the demon's head exploded, Diana's eyes widened in shock as she looked up to see Frankenstein standing near the others, his pistol barrel smoking before he kept on shooting the demons. Diana slowly stood at full height, taking a look at the larger arachnids, realizing that many of them too had human skin torn on their bodies. It didn't take a genius to see that these things….they were the kids.
"By the Gods." Diana whispered.
"THERES TO MANY! FALL BACK! FALL BACK!" Decker ordered as she and her police force were pushed back as the demons charged, simply running over the dead bodies of the others.
"Frank! Activate Hail Mary!" Bride ordered.
"It won't do any damage if the whole fucken horde is not in the school!" Frankenstein yelled as he cut down a demon. One jumped on his back, biting into his flesh as one another lunged for his leg, tearing into the bone. Two gunshots rang in the air before the demon mater splattered across the ground.
"I hate spiders." Hellgirl grunted as she pulled herself out of one of the holes, tossing a grenade in and collapsing it on some demons.
"Red, the Bastard still in there?" Frankenstein grunted, as a demon hurled itself at the two, only to be knocked away by Diana's shield.
"Where is Ragna?!" Diana asked, glaring between the two once she saw Ragna was gone.
"He's not with you?! Shit I'll go back and get hi-!"
"No, forget it! He can get himself out of the mess." Frankenstein stated as he reached for his coat.
"We need to deal with all of these demons, we can't let a single one escape!" Frankenstein stated as the demons kept on coming. Diana looked around, her warrior spirit telling her to carve down the enemies, but now knowing that these were the students here made her heart ache. There had to be someway of saving them, she could not do it with her hands or blade….but perhaps with magic!
"Jennifer!" Diana ran over and kneeled down beside the sorceress, who seemed to be drinking some blue liquid.
"Jennifer, can you contain these demons?"
"No…No my magic is still weak, Diana."
"Please, Jennifer." Diana pleaded.
"That spell is one of my more powerful ones, it took all of my concentration and magic I had to contain it. I'm sorry but I ca-!"
"Oh for fuck sake!" Tala's sudden cursing caught the two by surprise, stepping past the two and letting out annoyed huff.
"If all you're gonna do is mope about how useless you are, then get out of the way and let me show you how a pro does it!" Tala stated, glaring down at Jennifer. Honestly this was quite pathetic in her eyes, considering how powerful Jennifer was, but even apprentices had limits. It was time for the Master, Tala mused as she held her arms up, dark energy spiraling around them.
"Daraja Timholia!" With a clap of her hands, the world went still, or more specifically the demons stopped in their tracks. Everyone looked around to see every demon surrounded in dark energy, keeping them immobilized. Tala rubbed her hands together with darkness, the energy spiraling around her hands as she held her fingers together like a cage.
"Temeprate!" With the slam of her hands and a PFF every demon that was alive disappeared in a flash of darkness.
"And THAT'S how you get the job done." Tala proclaimed, puffing her bosom out and resting on her hands.
"Tala…..what was that?" Diana asked, standing back on her feet and helping Jennifer up.
"'Oh thank you Tala you're so amazing and beautiful' IS what you meant to say." Tala mocked with a roll of her eyes.
"Where did the demons go?" Frankenstein asked.
"Where you wanted them?" Tala answered by gesturing to the school.
"Why didn't you do that before?" Decker asked, glaring at the sorceress.
"It's not as if the spell was meant to hold them forever, it only has like a minute of suspension." Tala explained. They acted as if she was an infinite well of magic…well if she was a God or Demon she would.
"That's all the time we need to blow them sky high." Frankenstein stated, holstering his pistol and pulling out a detonator, but before he could pull it Diana reached out and pulled his arm down.
"NO! Those demons were the children, we might be able to save them!" Diana stated, catching some of the others by surprise.
"What?" Decker asked.
"...Transfiguration." Tala muttered, crossing her arms with a sour gaze in her eyes. She knew of such a thing, but never applied the practice herself for…..personal reasons.
"It doesn't matter, those things can't be fixed and we can't hold the line since your little sorcerer is clearly out of juice." Frankenstein gestured to Jennifer, before pulling his arm free.
"Frank, what if we can save them…." Hellgirl said, stepping up to the undead agent. She knew her job, kill demons or other monsters, but it was one thing when they were originally kids.
"We didn't come here to save kids, we came here to stop these demons from infesting the world….and we're finishing the job." Frankenstein stated.
"He is right, Hellgirl, there is nothing we can do." Bride stated, crossing her arms. She had seen the effect the human turned demons had, and it was better to put them out of their misery than let them suffer. Diana stared down Frankenstein as the undead agent turned towards the school, before shifting towards the parents. Her mind wondered, did her mother feel this way when she disappeared…..did she feel this way now? Could she stop this, could she save the kids?
"NO!"
"Ragna?"
"SKRA!"
(A Devil's Justice)
Ragna grunted as he blocked another blow from the Brood Mother, skating back a few feet before twisting his blade and blocking her stinger. Keeping on his toes as the grotesque demon kept transforming, her upper body becoming less like a woman and more like a spider. Whatever was happening to her was not for the better in his mind, but he was sure she'd disagree.
Ragna rolled over her legs and planted his boot in her abdomen, knocking her into the wall as he began making his way across the gym. However, she quickly caught up due to her size and speed, making Ragna shiver in how she moved…..he hates Spiders. He quickly pulled out Jekyll and Hyde and fired several rounds, but to his surprise she spewed webbing from her mouth catching the bullets, the hybrid hero jumping out of the wall. She pulled the ground with her webbing and swung it around, Ragna twisted his blade slicing the debris in two. The demon took its moment of distraction to swing her tail, knocking Ragna into a nearby egg.
Ragna groaned as the egg cracked a bit behind him, the hybrid slowly pushing himself up. However, once he laid eyes upon the Brood Mother, he felt that crawling fear in the back of his head. He couldn't explain it, it wasn't like with the Hellspawn in Skartaris, he simply didn't know how his powers worked at the time. No, it felt as if his powers were fluctuating, and he didn't know why. Regardless he needed to figure out how to stop this thing….but could he? Before he could think of anything, the cracking behind him continued before something wet and sticky landed on his leg. Ragna looked down to see a high schooler, a darker skinned girl around his age, fell out of the egg.
"Holy crap." Ragna whispered as he kneeled down to the girl, checking her pulse. To his surprise the girl began moaning, eyes fluttering open as he wiped the goo out of her face.
"W….What's happening?" The girl asked, looking up at the mask figure above her. She recognized him from the news as the hero Sparda, and soon it all came flooding back to her. The dance, Parker…..the spiders. Suddenly her confused demeanor turned into shock and horror as she heard clicking above, turning to see the large arachnid. She began panicking and scooting away from Ragna, the hybrid instantly on guard.
"Hey, hey its okay. I got you." Ragna reassured, kneeling down in front of the girl.
"You're gonna fight that thing?" She asked, clutching her knees as the Brood Mother hissed at them.
"Um…something like that." Ragna tried to keep her calm, but his own confidence was wavering. Could he defeat the Brood Mother, watching its body become more demonic by the second, he can do this! He faced fricken Hades for Christ sake, he should be able to defeat an overgrown….spider.
PFF
"Wha?" And Ragna's confidence had completely shattered when the entire horde of spiders reappeared right behind the Brood Mother, some dark energy disappearing around them. The arachnids began hissing as the Brood Mother snarled.
"My children, what did you do?!" She hissed, turning to Ragna.
"Don't look at me." Ragna muttered, taking a step back with his sword raised.
"No matter, be free my children!" She roared as she let out a guttural roar. The arachnids hissed and snarled as some began digging into the ground while others ran towards the doors. Ragna knew he had to stop them…but hearing the crying and whimpers, he knew he had to get this girl out of here.
"Frankenstein? Can you hear me? Hellgirl? Diana?" Ragna called over the comms, hearing static for a few seconds…..before he heard their voices.
"We didn't come here to save kids….and we're finishing the job." Ragna's eyes widened hearing Frankenstein's voice, and realizing he was referring to the Hail Mary.
"WAIT! NO!"
"Ragna?!" He heard Diana's voice call out to him.
"Don't do it! I got a survivor and we ca-GAH!" Ragna grunted as a red webbing struck his blade, sticking Morningstar to the ground. Ragna turned to face the Brood Mother as she shot several more webbings, the hybrid hero ducking under the first one but his hood got caught in the blast. He slipped out of his jacket as it stuck near the girl, who used it to cover herself from view. Ragna was about to jump out of the way when the red webbing had struck his feet, keeping them in place.
"Now….you're mine." The Brood Mother hissed as she began making her way towards Ragna, the hybrid struggling to pull himself out of the hold as he heard the others voices through the comm much clearer now as an arachnid broke down the gym wall leading outside.
"Frank we can save them!" Hellgirl called out.
"They're breaking out!" A police officer called out followed by screams and roars.
"Enough! We end this now!" Frankenstein roared as he held the detonator up.
"NO! PLEASE! I CAN SAVE THEM!" Ragna cried out, turning around to see the girl holding his jacket around her body as the Brood Mother stood over him, pincers raised high.
"Frank! WAIT!"
"NO!"
"RAGNA!"
CLICK
What felt like minutes in Ragna's eyes as he watched the world explode around him, a series of events that happened in a blink of an eye. The entire school began shaking as it started collapsing due to the underground tunnels made by the arachnids. With three locations where Frankenstein had placed the Hail Mary's, the C4 began beeping while the golden liquid glowed brighter and brighter by the second. Ragna turned around to the girl, reaching out with his hand to try and pull her close for protection, but it was too late.
BA-BOOM
Everyone was sent flying from the sudden shockwave, staring up in awe and shock as the school was consumed in an explosion of golden light. The arachnid demons roared in agony as their flesh melted away, their souls and body were burned away, none could escape the light. Even in the tunnel system many were caught in the blast as it traveled through. One arachnid looked back as the others were caught in the fury of the Light, knowing only one thing to do. It began digging into the side of the tunnel and spat inside, before burying the hole before it was reduced to ashes.
The Brood Mother roared in agony as it was caught in the light, but hissed through the pain, only for that light to burn hotter and hotter. That light condensed before shooting into the air, evaporating the entire school ground in a pillar of golden light that shot high into the sky and see across all of Redgrave. The Brood Mother's last thoughts were painful agony, wishing to see the light of day, only to become nothing but ashes. Ragna Redgrave screamed in pain as he held his arms out covering his face from the bright and painful light, the last thing he heard was a FWOOSH before everything went dark. The light died down, and the entire school was nothing more but a crater that began to cave in on itself.
And finally….silence.
(A Devil's Justice)
"RAH!" DevilDog roared as he slashed at Ghia'ta, the Star Sapphire blocking the first attack. She flew over another swing and constructed her own blade slicing at his back, the alien criminal snarling in pain as the blade pierced his skin. He twisted his body and fired a beam from the condensed energy blade, the Sapphire Princess ducking under it. DevilDog slashed at her, clashing with her blade as sparks and shockwaves flew. Ghia'ta fired a blast from her ring, the beam melting through metal and the alien ducked under it, the purple beam blasting into the sky above.
"Beware Hawkwoman! For you are in the presence of the Mighty Human Fl-OW!" Meanwhile, Hawkgirl had enough of the Human Flame and stepped on his foot, breaking the bone. She ducked under Light's beam and swung her mace, but the light themed villain quickly jumped back and fired from both hands. Hawkgirl grunted as she blocked the attack with her mace, the force pushing her back.
"Ow. Ow. I think I'm gonna go fight Martian Manhunter." Human Flame groaned, trying his best to hobble away.
"Oh no you don't!" Hawkgirl grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and threw him towards Light, the villain holding his blasts back to not hit Flame, crying out in pain as he was tackled. Meanwhile, Martian Manhunter phased and shifted through objects avoiding the beams and blasts from both Goldface and Icicle. Martian Manhunter shifted through the ground before reappearing the two at super speed, punching them into two pillars as he landed back on the ground. Just as Martian Manhunter turned to face them, he held his arm up to take a blast that encased his arm in ice.
"HA! Why don't you chill out, Alien man." Icicle called out, smirking at the green alien. Manhunter merely stared at the frozen themed villain before phasing his arm out of existence, dropping the block of ice.
"...Okay that is a bullshit power." Icicle grumbled.
"Agreed." Goldface growled, firing a beam from his blaster, but Manhunter easily shifted through it.
"You ain't such a big man without that phasing power!" Goldface called out, hoping to goad the Martian. Unfortunately he was unaware that J'onn could read his mind, and knew exactly what he was planning. It was a very dumb plan…..but Martian Manhunter will play along.
"Very well then, show me what you got." Martian Manhunter beckoned, Icicle and Goldface smirking at each other, aiming their blasters at the alien superhero. Manhunter focused through his eyes a condensed form of his psychic energy, firing two beams from his eyes as Goldface and Icicle fired. The blast of psychic energy and rays caused an explosion of golden smoke, blinding the two villains peripheral.
"Goldie? Where did he go?" Icicle called out, trying his best to see through the golden cloud, but saw nothing so far. Suddenly, a silhouette appeared walking towards him and seeing it had a cape on them, Icicle smirked and fired his shot.
"GAH!"
"Freeze Sucka! HA!" Icicle cheered as the cloud began clearing, his eyes widened in shock when he saw it was Goldface, not Martian Manhunter, stuck in the ice block. Hearing something behind him, Icicle turned around face to face with Manhunter before his ray gun was easily pulled out of his hand and crushed.
"Uh…..Uh…..How about we take a chill pi-DOH!" Icicle's lights were knocked out by Martian Manhunter's casual finger flick.
"No one should have that many ice puns." Martian Manhunter mused, shaking his head.
"AAHHH! Help me!" Martian Manhunter turned fearing for Hawkgirl's life, only to realize it was the Human Flame running and screaming like a little girl. Human Flame looked up realizing he was running in Manhunter's direction, stopping a few feet from the alien hero and posing dramatically.
"So you wish to face me once more eh Martian Manhunte?!" Despite his dramatic flair being absolutely unintimidating, Manhunter was still uneasy about the fire.
"Well prepare to be burned in the inferno that is the Human Fl-!"
"Oh hell no!" Suddenly, Hawkgirl's mace struck Human Flame in his left buttocks, knocking on his stomach.
"I ain't done with you, Tubby!" Hawkgirl growled, grabbing Flame by his boot and dragging him away.
"W-Wait! Please Manhunter! Fight me instead! Anyone but her!" The Flame looked rather comical as he was dragged across the ground by the winged heroine.
"Enough of this!" Dr. Light snarled, blasting Hawkgirl in the back.
"You shall learn where your place is, you Winged Sow!"
"..."
"..."
"...What did you just call me?" Hawkgirl's silent demeanor turned cold, catching everyone near her by surprise by the stoic tone.
"Uh…." Dr. Light was unsure what was going on, looking at the Human Flame.
"...Say that to my face one more time." Hawkgirl sneered, stomping towards Dr. Light.
"What?"
"Uh oh." The Human Flame whimpered, slowly backing away from Light.
"I said: Say that to my face one more time." Hawkgirl growled, glaring down the light themed villain.
"Man I really think you should apologize, Light." Human Flame suggested, knowing the look on Hawkgirl's face. Hell Hath no Fury like a woman scorned.
"For what? For this miserable, ugly, disgusting cunt standing in our way?!"
"..."
"...Uh oh." Martian Manhunter muttered. His world did not have words like that on Mars…but here he found it was not a very flattering name.
"...Yep." With that Hawkgirl tossed her mace aside and charged at Light. Dr. Light sneered and fired beams from his hand, but the winged heroine ducked and weaved through each blast. Her wings flapped created a wind current that pushed Dr. Light off one foot, the villain trying to regain his balance. However that was all Hawkgirl needed as she planted one foot on the ground and pulled the other back, before hurling it forward.
CRACK
The sound alone made the Human Flame cover his lower appendage, and even Martian Manhunter winced a bit despite his body remaining still. Dr. Light however could not scream let alone make a sound as his world went white in excruciating pain. That all went still as Hawkgirl pulled her leg back and hurled her fist forward, punching Dr. Light and knocking his lights out. The light themed villain was out cold, leaving the Human Flame and Hawkgirl, but seeing the heated glare from the winged heroine was enough for him to lift his hands up.
"I-I surrender! A-And I would never call you that! I support Women Rights and Femi-" The Human Flame's words were silenced as Hawkgirl calmly patted his head.
"Easy, that stuff doesn't work on me, but I appreciate the sentiment." Human Flame sighed in relief, before grunting in pain as Hawkgirl light knocked him out with a bonk on the head with her fist.
"I'm all done here, M&M, you got your end?" Hawkgirl asked, seeing Manhunter drag Icicle and push Goldface beside Flame.
"I was done for a while now."
"Don't make it a race, or next time it will be." Manhunter stated. Hawkgirl knew he was being serious, but she loved playing on that.
"Oh, so strong that you think I can't keep up?" Hawkgirl challenged teasingly, the Martian cocking an eyebrow in confusion.
"No, I just don….Wait a minute, where is Ghia'ta?" He asked, seeing she was nowhere to be found.
"She was just right the-!"
"KYA!" Both heroes looked up to see Ghia'ta in a beam struggle with DevilDog.
"Be erased in the power of my Rod!" DevilDog roared, jumping over Ghia'tas' beam and charging towards her constructing an energy sword. Ghia'ta constructed her own sword and shield and clashed with DevilDog. She will admit when it came to CQC she was not as skilled as Ragna or Diana, but it seemed DevilDog was no master in combat. However, he made it up with ferocity, strength, and mobility. He used the pillars and beams of the power grid to move out of her line of sight, reappearing around and slicing at her back, nearly breaking the shield around her body.
She flew higher into the sky, only to be jerked back down as something wrapped around her leg, slamming her into the ground. She looked down to see a yellow chain from DevilDog's rod wrapped around her ankle, the alien yanking her into the air and towards a wall. Ghia'ta quickly formed a sword and sliced through the chain, flipping her body and landing on her feet. With enough force she pushed off the wall and blasted towards DevilDog with her ring fist pulled back, slamming it into the alien criminal's cheek.
DevilDog snarled and fired a left haymaker, only to collide with armor, courtesy of Ghia'tas' large alien mech she formed. DevilDog fired a beam from his cosmic rod, the yellow energy easily cutting through Ghia'tas' armor, alien princess crying out in pain as she rolled across the ground. Ghia'ta stood back on her feet and fired a beam from her ring, finally pushing more power into it, knowing she can't stop. She won't fail Hawkgirl, or Martian Manhunter, or Ragna. DevilDog growled as their beams were met with equal force, looking down at his rod and seeing sparks shoot out of the device. With an annoyed grunt DevilDog dispersed his beam and landed back on the ground, sneering up at Ghia'ta.
"I must admit, you are stronger than I anticipated, clearly before it was simply a fluke." DevilDog growled.
"Like I said, you got lucky." Ghia'ta stated, constructing her sword.
"HA! This time, however, it is not luck on my side." DevilDog snarled as he held his rod up.
"BUT POWER!" With another press of his button, the entire power grid came to life. Electricity shot out of the metal catching the heroes by surprise before it traveled straight into DevilDog's rod, super charging it.
"DIE!" He roared as he fired an even more powerful beam, Ghia'tas eyes widened in horror before flying out of the way as it melted through the metal. DevilDog constructed a blade and swung it releasing a wave of energy, knocking Ghia'ta back and shattering her shield. Ghia'ta groaned in pain as smoke rose off her body, looking up to see DevilDog staring down at her, no words were needed as he constructed a long blade. The last thing Ghia'ta thought of was her mother, her love, and the same blade that killed her.
"Ghia'ta!"
"Ragna?" Ghia'ta whispered looking up expecting her beloved hybrid hero, but was just as thankful as Hawkgirl appeared and blocked the swing with her mace, knocking DevilDog back. The alien snarled and fired another beam, but to his surprise Hawkgirl blocked it with her mace, the force was still enough to send her flying out of the grid and digging her feet into the ground.
"J-J'ONN! ANYTIME NOW!" Was Manhunter needed to hear as he phased right behind DevilDog and pulled him into a full nelson, forcing the beam to blast into the sky above. Hawkgirl charged back into the grid and swung her mace, striking DevilDog in the stomach before knocking the cosmic rod out of his hand. Manhunter let go of the alien and pulled his fist back as did Hawkgirl with her mace. The entire city shook as DevilDog was knocked clean to the ground from the double blow of Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl. Ghia'ta stared at the two in awe as they stood triumphantly over DevilDog and the other villains, unsure if it was accidental or purposely. She like to think both.
"Kid, you okay?" Hawkgirl suddenly asked, putting her mace away and running towards Ghia'ta.
"I….I'm fine." Ghia'ta tried her best to keep her composure…..but all of it came crashing down. She failed, simple as that, she failed them all: Hawkgirl, Martian Manhunter….and most of all, Ragna.
"Kid? Ghia'ta?" Hawkgirl asked, seeing the princesses' soft composure finally falter, leaning forward in Hawkgirl's shoulder, surprising the winged heroine.
"If you are worried about failure, stop." Ghia'ta looked up at J'onn, the Martian staring down at her.
"B-But I-"
"You have much to learn about being a hero….as do all three of us." J'onn stated, and Ghia'ta realized what he meant. Out of the whole Justice League, these two were only recent heroes like Ragna, and she was even more recent. And considering what happened after she was knocked out, maybe she wasn't alone.
"Exactly." Was all J'onn stated, confusing the Alien Princess more before she mentally slapped her head: Right, telepathy.
"And we start with rule number one with being a hero: Make sure we finish the job." Hawkgirl stated, pointing ahead of them as a low groan echoed in their ears. All three looked over to see DevilDog standing back on his feet, searching the ground for his cosmic rod. Once he found it the alien immediately leaped for it and stood back on his feet, snarling at the three.
"Ya think this is the end?! You don't get to decide when this is over! I am DevilDog! And I will not be so easily defea-!"
BAM
Imagine the shock on their faces as not only was DevilDog silenced, but what silenced him was a large alien spaceship landing right on top of him. The three heroes stood on guard as a landing dock opened up, two silhouettes standing at the front as it slowly lowered down. Their bodies were red and black with an almost crustacean appearance, their right arms pincers. Once it hit the ground the two walked forward, the two speaking in an alien language that only the three aliens could understand.
"Greetings Lifeforms of the….Sol System." One of them stated in his tongue, waving his claw arm at them.
"We are Officers of the Centauri Police Force, we are in search of a feral criminal." He stated, holding up a hologram with the wanted ad of a very familiar criminal.
"Have you seen this convict?" Ever so slowly, the three pointed towards the alien spaceship, the two alien officers looking at each other in confusion before investigating. With a click of a button on their claw, the ship came to life and floated into the air, revealing the crater where DevilDog layed in.
"DevilDog of Foosha, you are hereby under arrest for arson, destruction of property, and theft of the Centauri Heart of Crawdawn!" He stated reaching for the cosmic rod and pulling out the yellow rock.
"We thank you, brave lifeforms, for keeping this criminal busy until we arrived. We shall take him off your hands." He stated as the other officer hoisted DevilDog into the air.
"...No problem?" Hawkgirl hesitated with a shrug.
"You have much to answer for, DevilDog."
"...Pfft."
"Cron, take this seriously!" The officer stated with a stern tone while his partner covered his mouth.
"I'm sorry Kai, but his name…..what kind of birthing lifeform names their offspring DevilDog." The man chortled as they dragged the criminal into the spaceship. The craft roared with life before flying into the sky and disappearing into the stars above, leaving the three heroes alone.
"...What the hell just happened?" Hawkgirl asked in confusion.
"It seems our DevilDog problems have been answered. Let's deal with the others." Within twenty minutes the police arrived to find the four villains rounded up, the three heroes not standing that far from them.
"You think this is over?! You haven't seen the last of the Terrible Quadruple!" Human Flame exclaimed as the officers put him with Icicle and Goldface together while Dr. Light was carried in an ambulance.
"That is a terrible villain team name." An officer stated.
"Hey we defeated Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter! They can vouch for us!" Human Flame stated over an officer's shoulder, the policemen looking over at the two heroes.
"...We have no idea what he's talking about, officer." Hawkgirl answered with a shrug and a smirk.
"Indeed, we got the drop on them pathetically easily." J'onn stated, shocking Human Flame.
"WHAT?!"
"Why are you shocked? Why would heroes vouch after what we did?" Icicle asked, rubbing his head in frustration as the door closed on them before driving off with the ambulance behind them. Once the police were gone Hawkgirl smiled up at J'onn, elbowing him.
"Look at you, lying for the sake of your pride."
"It wasn't about pride, it was simply a matter of fact, we did beat them rather easily." Was all Manhunter stated.
"Sure~~~." Hawkgirl rolled her eyes, turning around to see Ghia'ta staring up into the skies. She had an idea what was going on in her head, looking back up and patting the Martian's shoulder.
"You head back up to the Watchtower, I'll take care of her." J'onn nodded his head and began flying into space, the winged heroine walking up beside Ghia'ta. The two stood side by side, Hawkgirl's wing practically covering Ghia'ta from view, almost protecting her.
"...Rough night, huh?" Hawkgirl asked with a small smile on her lips.
"...I messed up." Ghia'ta muttered, looking down at her ring.
"Yeah, it happens to the best of us: Superman, Batman…..Ragna." Hawkgirl stated, the Sapphire Princess looked over at Hawkgirl, a small glare in her eyes.
"Ya can look at me all you like, but Ragna is far from per-!"
"I don't think Ragna is perfect." Ghia'ta cut her off, staring back down at her ring.
"But…he always supports me, he loves, he loves everyone…..and he always comes to save the day….no matter what." Ghia'ta said, a soft smile on her lips as she thought of Ragna. When he fought her Aunt Aga'po, when he fought Atrocitus, Hades.
…When he died.
"I…I lost him once…I can't lose him again…..I don't want to lose anything anymore." Hawkgirl remained quiet through the whole thing, and once Ghia'ta finished, she placed a hand on the Sapphire Princess shoulder.
"I get it, I really do. He means a LOT to you, and he's a good kid." Hawkgirl said, looking up at the stars above.
"I don't think he's a bad hero…..I just think you should be careful with how far you raise him…..cause it gets harder to hold him up with how far he goes." Ghia'ta looked over at Hawkgirl in confusion, unsure what she meant.
"Listen, the point I'm trying to make is Ragna wouldn't want you to beat yourself up over this, and if anyone thinks you have what it makes to be a hero: He does. So…be ready to pull him back up if it comes crashing down….." Hawkgirl began walking away from Ghia'ta, winking at the princess as she flexed her wings.
"...And to stand beside him…" Was the last thing she said before taking off into the sky, leaving the Sapphire Princess to wonder what she meant. To stand beside him…..if it all comes crashing down. Taking a deep breath, she looked around the city and watched as it became smaller as she took off into the sky. Maybe she didn't defeat DevilDog by herself like she knew Ragna would…but she did help in defeating a group of criminals, and she knew Ragna would appreciate that. Her smile growing wider and beaming with some form of pride, she took off towards Redgrave.
She hoped Ragna had better luck then she did.
(A Devil's Justice)
"Gah! Oof! Crap." Ragna groaned as he bumped into something, his field of vision obscured in total darkness. Reaching out and trying to find any source of light, he felt the tug for his weapon, the sword digging through rubble just to reach his hand. Once he got a good grip of Morningstar, Ragna lifted it up as flames exploded from the blade, lighting up the area around him. Whatever remained of the school was nothing but debris and rocks. He had enough room to crawl, he wanted to push everything off him and clear the rubble, but his body was weakened. Whatever Frankenstein let off, it was clearly of Holy origin. Perhaps like the Paladins Holy weapons, it was Holy Water maybe. Regardless, he no longer had enough strength to reduce this place to dust.
"Hello? Anyone?" Ragna called out, crawling through, met with nothing but silence. He didn't have to crawl far tho, his eyes widening as he recognized his red coat, wrapped around what he could only assume was the girl. The coat had a few singes covering it, the lower tail burned, but otherwise she was completely wrapped in his coat like a present.
"Oh thank God, you're okay." Ragna sighed in relief as he crawled over to her, chuckling happily as he finally laid right behind her.
"Guess my coat is more durable than I thought, huh?" Ragna joked, leaning up on his left elbow.
"..."
"...Hey, you okay? What's wr-!" Ragna reached out to lightly grasp her shoulder…..only for the jacket to sink in on itself.
"...No…..No! No! No!" Ragna began muttering as he reached out and quickly turned the jacket around, coming face to face with…..whatever remained of the girl. She was nothing but ash and charcoal, her clothes burned away, and the slightest touch made her body break apart. Ragna began hyperventilating, muttering 'no' as the body crumbled into dust, his coat laying in his hand.
"N-No! NO! Please, Please no….Not again….Please don't let this be…. Please.." Whimpers escaped his throat as Ragna dropped his blade, clutching his jacket and pulling it close to his chest. And as if a gust of wind passed by, the flames disappeared upon his blades, and the only thing he could hear within darkness was his own heart. Ragna's body instinctively began curling together, knees pressed against his chest, his arms holding his jacket close to his mouth. His heart beating faster and faster, thumbing in his ears. So many things flashed before his eyes, not of his home but of similar events.
Botis. Redgrave City.
His home…..his mother…..the darkness…the Smiling Devil's voice.
"...Itsy bitsy Devil~~ Itsy bitsy Devil~~" A voice whispered in his ear, and whether he thought it was real or not did not matter to Ragna, clutching his eyes close and hugging himself harder. Red eyes appeared around him, in multiple batches.
"We crawl up your leg~~ We make you beg~~" The eyes began taking arachnid-like forms, slowly crawling up Ragna's body.
"We enter your dreams~~ Paint the walls red, so mean~~" Out of the shadows only one took no arachnid-like shape, floating above Ragna. The shadows had more than four or eight eyes, but this one only had six: Two perfectly set of three eyes, staring right down at Ragna.
"Hear the song we produce~~ The wonderful sound of her abuse~~" Ragna heard the screams echo in his head, and he knew her voice, he knew his mothers voice as they…..as they tore her limb to bloody limb. His skin began turning paler and paler until it was ghostly white, red veins shooting off his right arm.
"Itsy Bitsy Ragna~~ Who makes himself a fool~~" Ragna's eyes turned black as the darkness around him, his sclera a red slit in that pitch black void, horns slowly shooting out of his skull. The shadows creeped around his body, forming webs of darkness as the larger shadow with six eyes slowly descended towards him.
"Your Fate will be a thousand times more CRUEL~~" The shadow opened its maw, showing a void of infinite pain and loss, as Ragna's eyes snapped shut, his body transforming as nails began shooting out his fingers.
"RAGNA!"
And just like that, Ragna's darkness became light as the rubble around him began moving. His skin returned to normal as he looked up to see Jennifer floating above him, the rocks being levitated into the air. She sighed in relief once she saw he was alright…only to stiffen once she noticed red stains going down his eyes and the side of his head. What really stopped her heart for a second was the expression of pain and regret, his lips curling into a frown and quivering.
"Ragna….come on." Jennifer knew not what to do but simply help him out, using her levitating spell to pull him into the air and quickly put his coat on to conceal his identity due to his mask and respirator destroyed. Once she got him, Jennifer floated back towards the edge of the pit and walked back onto the solid ground. Ragna took one look around and felt his heart stop: Parents crying, ambulances carrying off wounded police officers as Decker spoke with Sophie and another one nearby…dead everywhere. Many were officers or BPRD agents, and many were the demon arachnids…the transformed humans.
Ragna's knees gave out, falling on all four, his name being called out by Jennifer and Diana but it was nothing but a ring in his ear. Blood soaked the ground beneath him, splashing into his red hair and face, staring into his own reflection. Hearing thudding above, a large pair of boots stood in front of him, the hybrid twisting his head up to stare into the undead eyes of Frankenstein. Despite the creature being practically dead, his eyes held many emotions: Rage, Promising Pain, and Unforgiving Nature. That was soon met with Demonic Rage as Ragna slowly pushed himself back up on his legs, glaring up at Frankenstein as his features sharpened, demonic.
"...You killed them." Ragna's voice deepened, eyes shifting into crimson.
"I know. I did what I had to, because YOU left me no other option." Frankenstein snarled. A scoff from behind as Bride rolled her eyes and glared at her ex, followed by Hellgirl and the others.
"You can all look at me and judge me, but I'm not the one that let it escape the museum. I'm not the one that froze every time I saw something with more than two legs. I'm not the one that jeopardized this entire mission and everyone's life here because of fear." Frankenstein stated this, and while it was to the group around him, his eyes were on Ragna.
"You know the difference between me and you, and the Devil you call a father?" Frankenstein leaned down, his face right beside Ragna's ears.
"I am a Monster created by Man…..but your father was a Monster who pretended to be a Man…and you….your not even half a man." Frankenstein pulled away and began walking towards one of the BPRD vans.
"Frank!" Hellgirl sneered at the green giant, completely unaware of Ragna's features. Diana tried to get a good look at the hybrid, but the hood hid his face, but she saw the way his body shook with rage? No….regret…Fear.
FWOOSH
"Ragna?" Before Jennifer and the others' very eyes, Ragna disappeared in a flash of red. Diana looked up towards the sky, noticing a red cloak disappearing above the skyscrapers. She let out a low drawn out sigh, feeling her body relax after such a vicious battle…and not one she felt remotely proud of. She sheathed her blade and shield, turning to the crying parents, her heart aching and weeping for them as she slowly made her way towards them. She kneels before one of the dead arachnids, reaching for the dangling cross and ripping it off. She walked over to the weeping mother and father, kneeling beside them and placing a hand on the mothers shoulder.
"I….I am sorry I failed you." With that Diana pulled them both into a hug, one Ragna gave her after Hades, much like when her mother would give her when she was sad as a child. She handed them their sons cross before standing up and walking back towards the sorceresses. Tala stood with her arms crossed and surprisingly was very quiet, her expression straight as an arrow as Diana walked up to them.
"Diana?" Jennifer whispered.
"Come on. Let's find him."
(A Devil's Justice)
It took them some time to find the hybrid, but eventually they found him on the same skyscraper they were at before the museum incident, standing on the ledge overlooking the city below. The three landed right behind him, Tala was about to open her mouth to try and get Ragna out of the funk, but Jennifer held her hand up shaking her head. Diana began walking up to Ragna, standing at his side as they stared at the city below.
"...I'm…..I'm suppose to protect everyone here…." Ragna said, his eyes hidden in the white strands of his hair, dried blood making it look like stripes on his head.
"Ragna….."
"I do it because it's what my Dad did…I have all this strength….but I couldn't save them…again."
"Ragna." This time Jennifer stepped forward, but Ragna slowly pointed down to the dark section within Redgrave.
"...Before I met you or the others Diana, just a few days before New Years…I fought the Demon Lord Botis." Ragna stated.
"Botis….one of the few Demon Lords said to still be in the Realm." Tala muttered.
"I tried to fight him….but I wasn't strong enough…and so many people got hurt…..and others…." Ragna clenched his fists, shaking in anger, before slowly reaching for his sword.
"But then Morningstar came to me, and I….and I saved them…but…but I still got so many people hurt." Ragna's voice stuttered as his shoulders began shaking, slowly dropping his sword down to the ground next to him.
"I want to save everyone…but how can I…..if I'm afraid…." Ragna slowly hugged himself, eyes shut tight as tears began sliding down his cheek.
"Ragna….?" Diana's eyes widened as once again the Son of Sparda opened up to her and the others, and just like the first time it ached her heart. This usually carefree, positive, and ecstatic individual once again broke down, perhaps a mask finally shattering showing something inside?
"...You were right, Jennifer….I….I am afraid of them." Jennifer didn't need to be told what he meant, his fear of spiders, but she felt no pride in hearing those words.
"Ragna, i-it's okay to be afraid." Jennifer said, walking up to the hybrid.
"...Not for me." Was all Ragna said before he collapsed to his knees. Neither Jennifer or Diana said anything to each other, before simply kneeling down and wrapping their arms around Ragna. The only thing was heard were the soft whimpers from the Son of Sparda as the world became silent around them. Tala remained quiet, unsure what she could do, and she doubted now was the time to offer anything. All of this….softer emotions were not her forte. After a few minutes, Ragna pulled back wiping his eyes away, the girls frowning as he had no smile or even an awkward chuckle.
"Let's go home."
(A Devil's Justice)
"Ragna?" Ghia'ta called out, opening the sliding glass door and stepping in. Her eyes scanned the room seeing no sign of her boyfriend, but her eyes widened in surprise and joy when she saw Diana and the others were here, along with Aunt Leslie and Jason Blood.
"Oh Leslie you're here! Girls where's Ragna I got grea…..t….news?" Ghia'ta finally took notice of the atmosphere in the room: Diana sat at the couch beside Leslie as the Nun wiped away and cleaned any bruise and scratch on the Amazon, while Jennifer sat beside the Nun. Tala sat at the dinner table with her arms crossed while Starfire, Blackfire, and Crush sat with her. Aya sat on the sofa chair opposite of Blood in front of the door leading to Ragna's bedroom, Blood across from her on the other sofa chair. Donna leaned on the wall with a small frown on her lips, watching as her older sister stared at the door leading into the hybrids room.
"Oh, Ghia'ta…..Please, come sit." Leslie stated, walking up and bringing the Alien princess towards the couch.
"What's going on? Why are you here?"
"Ragna called me…..he needed my help with his arm." Was all Leslie said as she sat Ghia'ta down.
"And Miss Cardiney invited me, as this no doubt involves what happened tonight." Ghia'ta felt her heart drop, feeling a sense of dread as she turned to Diana, a look of shame in her eyes.
"What….What happened?"
(A Devil's Justice)
"...Fuck." Crush cursed as she leaned back on the one dinner seat, eyes shocked after hearing everything that Jennifer and Tala told them, Diana remaining quiet throughout the whole ordeal. Ghia'ta covered her mouth shaking her head in horror, Blood closed his eyes as Leslie quietly prayed. Koye and Kori remained quiet, a frown on the redhead while Koye remained stoic.
"Ragna…..Poor Ragna." Ghia'ta whispered, wishing to run and hold her boyfriend.
"Those poor children…I'll speak with the board, school is canceled tomorrow in preparation and memorial for those students….May God help them." Leslie prayed.
"Was there no way we could save those children? Stop the transformation process?" Jennifer asked, looking over at Blood.
"Transfiguration." Blood stated.
"Transfiguration: a complete change of form or appearance into a more beautiful or spiritual state." Aya stated, eyes glowing green for a second.
"S-So like you Blood?" Jennifer asked, but the immortal man shook his head.
"No. I am Bound by Etrigan through an Immortal Curse. It isn't like Ragna who is a hybrid born from man and devil. Transfiguration is the process of a living soul transforming into a full fledged devil. And….the only cure so far has been Death itself." Blood sighed.
"So…..there was nothing we could do." Diana whispered, clutching her fist together, Ghia'ta offering her hand for support.
"It is none of your fault my dears, nor Ragna, somethings….are just out of our control." Leslie said, lowering her head as she prayed more.
"That doesn't make it better….and it doesn't bring them back." Tala growled, chin laying on her clasped hands.
"Will Friend Ragna….be better?" Kori asked, Leslie shaking her head unsure of the future.
"Ragna has always come back from it, we just need to give him some a-!" Leslie stopped short when Ragna opened his door and walked out, freshened up and in a new pair of clothes. The Son of Sparda remained stoic, looking at everyone in the room, their heads turning to face the hybrid, wondering what he would say.
"Ragna?!" Ghia'ta jumped up, but stopped when Ragna held his right arm up, stopping the alien princess in her tracks.
"...I need to be alone." With that, Ragna walked out of the room and shut the door behind him. Ghia'ta wanted to go after him, but Leslie placed a hand on her shoulder, shaking her head.
"Perhaps some fresh air will cool Ragna down." Aya stated.
"I think the Manthing needs to learn some hum-!"
"Donna!" The sudden but strict outburst caught Donna by surprise, Diana finally stood from the couch with a small glare in her eyes. It was all the younger Amazon needed to stop talking.
Meanwhile, Ragna stood on top of the roof of the apartment complex, resting against the side as he overlooked the city below. It will only be a few hours until the Sun rises over the city below, his hair flickering in the wind. His mind played this entire night, thinking of everything that happened, and he regretted everything.
He failed them…..because of his weakness, his Fear.
He failed everyone, he failed as a hero….he failed as a Son of Sparda. He was the child of the most powerful being on Hell and Earth…..and yet he stopped before the sight of an over-sized spider. He wondered….would his father be disappointed in him? His Mother? Yes, so would Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, all of them. He failed to save the day, he failed as a hero and a member of the Justice League…..could they have won if all of them were there? It didn't matter now….he failed, because of his Fear. The words Frankenstein said to him…clenching his fist he felt that inner nature take hold. He wanted to shove his blade straight through the undead bas….No, no that isn't right.
Could…could he even deny why the undead man said? That he was merely a monster in human flesh…..or not even half of one? Much like the seven who killed his mother? Ragna lifted his right arm, staring at his own hand flexing the muscle…..before slowly reaching for his shoulder.
"Ragna?" Ragna's features softened and he quickly clicked it back into place as he turned to see Jennifer out of her sorceress attire.
"I wanted to be alone." Ragna internally reprimanded himself for how harshed that sounded, seeing Jennifer wince from the tone.
"I'm sorry. You've been up here for nearly three hours. I wanted to make sure you were okay." Ragna made a mental note to keep a watch on him, he clearly could not keep track of time.
"Yeah…..I'm…..I'm something I guess." Patting the ground beside him, Jennifer slowly walked over and sat beside him. The two sat beside each other, staring off into the horizon waiting for the Sun to rise, for a new day to begin.
"...I'm sorry Jennifer." The Druid Sorceress turned to Ragna in confusion, a look of regret in the hybrid's eyes.
"I….I let you down, I let you all down."
"Ragna you did-!" Ragna held his hand up, sitting up on his knees and pulling her hands into his.
"When I arrived in Skartaris, and your father asked for my help, do you know why?" Ragna asked. Jennifer remained silent, giving Ragna a moment to collect his thoughts.
"Because I wanted to prove to you that I was a hero, like my father." Ragna admitted, hands rubbing the Sorceress palm.
"Ragna…."
"Your people needed a savior, someone to help them free your home from Skartaris….and in those moments of saving you and your father….was all I needed. I want to be recognized as a great hero like Superman because….what's the point of having all this power…..if I can't save the day." Ragna whispered, shaking his head.
"I am the Son of Sparda, that alone shows me that I have a responsibility, and that alone makes me push harder. That I'm supposed to be this Son of Sparda and have all of this grand power. But what is the point if I can defeat Hades by myself, I couldn't even beat Atrocitus, or Magnus and his Paladins, or even that frickin spider. What's the point for being the Son of Sparda if I don't have this godlike power?" Ragna said, gesturing to the city around them.
"It's why I moved out in this apartment complex, because I didn't want my Auntie Leslie getting hurt or worrying about me because if I save the day it shows that I do have that strength. It's why I don't want you or Diana or Ghia'ta worrying about me because I have that power to keep you and everyone else safe. But…..I failed you…..I'm sorry." Ragna whispered, leaning down into Jennifer's shoulder. The Druid Sorceress slowly reached up and pulled Ragna closer.
"Ragna…..I'm sorry but I don't have the answer." Jennifer admitted. She herself was unsure what she could say, for she herself was a failure.
"But…..I do know what I saw with my very own eyes." Jennifer pulled Ragna up, cupping his cheeks, a small smile on her lips.
"You saved my father and Skartaris, you saved Ghia'ta and Atrocitus, you saved Diana and her Amazonian Sisters. If anyone has failed here….it's me…" Ragna's eyes widened in confusion, his heart dropping once tears formed in Jennifer's eyes.
"I came with you back to the surface so I could help you….but if I'm being honest Ragna…..I don't know what my purpose is here…" Jennifer admitted, pushing her face against his chest, tears soaking his shirt.
"Even in Skartaris my main purpose was simply acts of wisdom, hardly anything magic related happened outside of Deimos. I was one of the few if only Sorceresses in Skartaris, so coming here I thought I could make a difference with you, but it turns out I'm still an outsider. One out of time itself far flung into the future, and the one thing she wished to return she failed at. I can't even help in tracking a spider. I….I can't even save you from death!" She bawled, Ragna's eyes widened in distraught but the druid sorceress continued.
"I'm sorry Ragna, I'm sorry that I don't have the answers, or the resolution…..I'm sorry." Ragna stared down at the druid below him sobbing in his chest. He took a deep breath knowing what he needed to do, slowly wrapping his arms around her back and holding her close. The two laid there in each others arms, simply comforting the other. She had no answers to his questions, and he knew of the pain she had.
Luckily, he also had the answers. After sometime, he pulled away, taking a deep breath as the pain slowly melted away as Jennifer wiped her tears away. His pain….His pain was deep, and now can be pushed aside, he'll have his own answers later, Jennifer needed his help.
"...Oh, god what is wrong with me? I'm so sorry I literally made this about me wh-!"
"It's okay, Jennifer." Ragna chuckled as he reached out and wiped her tears away with his thumb.
"But R-Ragna, I-!" Suddenly his hands reached for her shoulders, making her look up in his eyes, a small smile on his lips.
"Jennifer. I don't want you to ever think that I had such high expectations for you." The druid seemed mildly confused by his answer as he continued.
"I never have such high expectations of others because…..you already proved yourself in my eyes that you are a hero true and through." Jennifer wanted to chuckle as he mixed the wrong words for the phrase through and through, but remained quiet.
"You were willing to fight for your home, and willing to come here and help me when you didn't owe me anything. You risked your life to fight Hades, and if that doesn't make you a hero, I don't know what will. And…..I mean, you're an amazing druid sorceress or something. I'm not sure what the terms are." Ragna chuckled, Jennifer giggled in return.
"If anyone failed….I did, I basically left you to wander this place alone. Just like with Diana." Ragna sighed, before taking a deep breath and showing a new look of resolve.
"But I'm going to be better, for you and the others. For Starfire, Blackfire, and you." Ragna proclaimed, standing back on his feet as the Sun slowly rises, his features reflecting off it. Jennifer couldn't help but blush with how handsome Ragna looked.
"B-But Ragna your-!"
"All of it is my burden to bear, and I will face it as a hero." Ragna said, taking her hand in his and pulling her up.
"I promise I will fight with my full strength to protect you, Ghia'ta, Diana, everyone. I promise this as Ragna Redgrave the Son of Sparda, at your service." Jennifer smiled up at Ragna, brushing some of her hair aside. She believed knowing his history that he shouldn't make promises he can't keep…..but she knew he would give it his all.
"...Thank you Ragna…..god I can see what Ghia'ta loves about you." Ragna chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head.
"...Just as I do."
"Hu-mmph!" Ragna's eyes widened as Jennifer planted her lips on his, the hybrid remaining frozen the whole even as she departed, staring down at her in shock. Jennifer may not have the same love as Ghia'ta….but she knew it was Love regardless. Jennifer pulled away from Ragna and slowly made her way towards the door, stopping at the entrance.
"Ragna…please fight with all your heart…and that you will never lose." Jennifer said, looking back over at him with eyes of longing and hope, before running back into the apartment complex. Ragna remained frozen for a few moments, before letting out a soft sigh. A new day has begun, and the adventure is just beginning, and it starts with Ragna's next words.
"...Things just got a little more complicated."
(A Devil's Justice) (Play MHA OP 6 Polaris by Give Heart Records)
As news spread from television to the internet of the Redgrave High School incident, all voices were heard. Some were negative, some tried to calm the mind of others. But many were directed on one source: Sparda. Videos played of the night when the school was destroyed, and the hero pulled out of the crater right before he disappeared. Many argued he was the cause of it, some tried to defend and see reason, but the pain of loss blinded many…and some just wanted reason to hate.
"Ah…..Oh how I missed that nostalgic stench." A voice growled as it took a big whiff of the air, overlooking the city below. Six eyes peered down in the world below, the scent spread like a wildfire, consuming the humans around him. That sweet, sweet, intoxicating stench.
Fear.
Despair.
Chaos.
"Ah…..it's good to be back."
(A Devil's Justice)
Deep within the Batcave, Batman stared at the computer screens overlooking the new channels of the Redgrave incident. The news was not kind on Ragna's hero persona, but in truth he could not blame them, fear made humans do and say horrible things. His eyes traveled over to another screen, staring at a video that was not of the incident last night, but one taken before Ragna met him and the League. It showed a battle between a large demonic serpent and the hero of Redgrave, his body exploding in a pillar of dark energy as a sword conjured in his hand.
It also showed news reports of 'secret societies' and 'religious zealots spotted' showing the many battles with the Paladins before they were captured by Sofia and her Paladins. Several pictures also showed a first person perspective showing the rhyming devil himself Etrigan, from the secret camera Batman had installed in the respirator he gave to Ragna. The bat themed narrowed his eyes before a beeping right beside him, looking towards a screen that blinked green before a small disc opened up. A HSS echoed throughout the cave as Batman leaned over and grabbed the tray, placing it down, showing several little crystal balls.
Batman prepped for everything, and these were the edge he needed against the denizens of the Infernal Realm. He was no fool; he saw the pattern, the rise in demonic activity. First it was the demon serpent, then the Ancala demon Ragna faced it when they all gathered. Next it was Paladins, Sofia and her sect, Etrigan the rhyming devil himself who was a loose cannon, and Hades the self proclaimed 'Majin of the Underworld'. What if the Majins are next? All of these infernal threats and at the center of it all: Ragna, and his father the Fabled Legendary Dark Knight.
He had seen each and everyone of Ragna's adventures through the respirator, the data sent back before the first two models were destroyed (He needs to make more durable ones) and each one only confirmed his suspicion. He did not think Ragna would ever go rogue…but that night with the Curse…..something was building up within the Son of Sparda, and it was only a matter of time before it broke the dam and turned on them. It's why he made countermeasures…ones that not even Clark could find due to the lead enforced wall within the cave. They weren't finished, he needed to find more material and defenses, but in time when the worse came…..and he had a feeling it would. These were for the good of everyone, including the League, including himself.
"Sir."
"What is it Alfred?" Batman asked as he kept placing the small orbs within his batarangs.
"I believe Miss Gordon left you a message and it states: 'Sirens raided bank….left town…brb?'." Alfred said, handing Bruce his phone.
"Sirens?"
"She's referring to Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman. They just drove out of Gotham." Batman stated, gesturing to a camera showing a car driving out of the city, followed by the batcycle a second later.
"Ah, I see, I don't remember Catwoman joining their team." Alfred stated.
"It was recently."
"Mm, are you going to help her?" Alfred asked, noticing that the dark knight had not once taken his eyes off his work.
"Barbara can handle those three just fine, and if she does lose them, she'll have help with where she's going."
"Ah…..where are they going, Sir?" Alfred asked as Batman placed in the last batarang, his reflection gleaming off it.
"The only place that highway leads to: Redgrave City."
(A Devil's Justice)
"Hand it over, Agent Hellgirl." Time stated glaring up at her, the red hybrid smoking a cigarette and lifting a weight while Time, Manning, and several agents stood in front of her.
"Don't know what your talking about, Shorty." Hellgirl muttered as she blew out a cloud.
"Come on Agent, ya didn't think we wouldn't know about….this?!" Manning asked, gesturing to the security feed showing a giant hole within a large vault door.
"I think YOU should build better security." Hellgirl growled, crushing her weights.
"I think you should hand over the folder, NOW." Time stated with a sneer. Hellgirl dropped the weights as she stared everyone down, knowing she could easily take out all of them…..only for a hand to be placed on her shoulder.
"My dear…." Hellgirl looked over at her father, Broom had a stoic but stern gaze in his eyes. Knowing she could not reason with her father once his mind was made up, she let out a heavy sigh and reached for the side of her bed. She tossed the folder into Manning's arm, lifting up her rocky middle finger.
"Thank you, Red, now was that so bad?" Time asked.
"Get the hell out of here before I shove my fist right up yo-!"
"Hellgirl." Broom stopped her from continuing as the directors and agents left the room. Once they were gone Hellgirl let out a cry of anger as she kicked the crush weight into the wall.
"This is bullshit, Pops. He deserves to know!"
"I understand, Hellgirl, but the boy is and will never be our ally." Broom said with a soft sigh, regret in his eyes.
"He can be, it's not his fault Time and Manning are scared shitless of what he can do." Hellgirl stated.
"It's more than that my dear, it's what he will be if even learns of what we know. This is for the good of everyone here." Broom said.
"...He should still know that we have four of them down here." With that Hellgirl left her room wishing to get some air. While the red hybrid got some time for herself, deep within the base, far deeper than thought possible, Time and Manning stood in front of a glass wall. They stared through the glass in nothing but darkness.
"Listen up boys, start talking now: Where the hell is your brother?!" Time ordered as they pressed their mouth against the speaker. Slowly, chuckling and snarling echoed within the darkness, as four blood red eyes appeared from within.
"...Hehehe…..Big Brother Violator is coming."
"Your time is almost up."
"...Brother…..will….come…"
"And when he does, we'll be there to skull fuck your corpse." The last one laughed as the four voices let out a maniacal laugh, echoing throughout the chamber.
(A Devil's Justice)
"Jennifer, a moment of your time." The Druid Sorceress turned to face Tala, the dark sorceress hands resting on her hips.
"Uh….yes?"
"I saved your life back there, I want you to know that." The dark sorceress stated, walking up until she was standing in front of Jennifer, her chin raised high as if looking down on the druid.
"Um….technically yes." Jennifer remembered Tala destroying an arachnid that would've killed her.
"Good, that means you owe me, yes?" Tala asked, a small smirk on her face. Jennifer now glared at Tala, not liking what she was getting at, but knowing she could at least return the favor somehow, Jennifer relented.
"Yes, now wh-!"
"If you value your own life, or better yet Beloved life you will heed my warning." Consider Jennifer surprised when Tala grabbed her by her collar and pulled her inches from her face, glaring into her eyes.
"Don't. Ever. Use. Those. Flames. AGAIN. If you value your life or Beloved's or everyone here you will never use any of those spells that conjure those flames!" Tala whispered between seething teeth. Jennifer was quite shocked by Tala's outburst, unable to respond and she simply nodded her head.
"Good. Good. Trust me you will thank me in the future." Tala muttered, shaking her head. As a Sorceress she dabbled in darkness, but even she had her limits.
And she'll be damned if she lets the Frenzied Flames become a problem.
(A Devil's Justice)
Ragna sighed as he walked back into his apartment, rubbing the back of his head, wondering if he should make lunch for everyone. Color him surprised when he walked in and found most of the girls asleep, no doubt tired from this entire incident and just the baggage that went along with it…though he wondered why Crush, Aya, and the twins were fast asleep despite not doing anything. Despite the Sun still high in the sky it was quiet in the apartment, his Auntie gone and making preparations for the funeral, while Blood returned home.
With a shrug of his shoulders Ragna walked into his room, not entirely surprised to find Ghia'ta resting in his bed…..what did catch him by surprise was seeing Diana laying down as well, her back to the alien princess. A soft smile grew on his face as he slowly crawled in and joined the two, wrapping an arm around Ghia'tas' backside. Feeling shifting under him, he popped one eye open to see the Alien princess smiling up at him, nuzzling in his chest.
"Hi." She whispered.
"Hi. Sorry if I woke you up." Ragna whispered, pulling her closer.
"It's okay…are you feeling better?" Ghia'ta asked.
"...No…..but I'm not feeling any worse I guess." Ragna admitted, resting his chest against her forehead. He could tell she wanted to ask so many questions, that she was clearly worried for him, and he hated that. It's why exactly what he didn't want, he needed to show them all he was fine, and that they should never have to worry about him.
"Ghia'ta….I-!"
"It's okay Ragna, you don't have to say anything….but can you promise me something?" Ghia'ta asked, clutching his shirt.
"...Anything." Ragna said, looking down at his girlfriend, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Promise me you'll always come back. You don't have to win, you don't have to lose, just promise me you'll come back.." Before Ragna could answer, he felt an arm wrap around his chest and another on Ghia'tas' back pulling them closer to her chest, Diana's chin reading on his head.
"Diana….?"
"Please Ragna. I can't bare the sight of seeing it happen all over again." She whispered in his ear, and it was the second time Ragna heard such vulnerability and pain in Amazon's voice. He tried so hard to reassure everyone he was fine, but he knew what she meant, what Ghia'ta wanted. To him his death was nothing but an obstacle and a miracle, but to the girls….HIS girls, it was like a piece of their hearts ripped out. He wondered if it was the same for the others, and if so, it gave him more reason to make sure he never die or lose again.
"I promise." Ragna whispered, closing his eyes as Ghia'ta wrapped her arms around him, nuzzling deeper into his chest while Diana pulled him closer keeping them both wrapped in her hold. He didn't know what the future holds for tomorrow or even tonight….but right now he was gonna enjoy the moment with Ghia'ta his girlfriend and Diana…..well he'll figure out what she is soon. For now, he simply enjoyed the comfort of silence in the room and the safety of his bed.
"...Ragna." Said hybrid popped one eye open, looking up to see Aya kneeling behind Ghia'ta.
"Yeah, Aya?"
"Could I sleep with you in this bed?" The sudden question caught Ragna by surprise, leaning his head up while Ghia'ta looked over her shoulder, Diana cocking her eyebrow in confusion.
"Why? Wait, do you even sleep?" Ragna asked.
"No, but your bed is the most comfortable place in the apartment…..and I wish not to sleep on the floor right now." Aya stated, her stoic expression staring down at Ragna. Looking at Ghia'ta and Diana, neither offering any voice of opposition, Ragna shrugged his shoulders.
"Sure, the more the merrier!" Aya did not voice it, but her eyes did seem to light up more as she joined them, laying on her back as she covered herself in the blanket.
"... Beloved?" Ragna's head shot up seeing Tala and Jennifer standing at the door, both in nightgowns with one far more transparent than the other.
"Uh, girls?"
"I-We thought you could use the company." Jennifer muttered, cheeks red.
"I had a nightmare, Beloved, may we join you in the bed as well?" Tala asked with pouty lips.
"Really? A nightmare?" Diana asked with a sneer, glaring at the dark sorceress. Ragna looked between the two, Jennifer tapping her fingers in embarrassment, but her words echoed in his head. With a soft smile, he chuckled softly and beckoned them over.
"It's been a long night, I think we could all use a night's rest. Come on."
"T-Thank you Ragna." With that, Jennifer joined Diana on her side, while Tala laid at the end and wrapped herself around Ragna's legs, moaning softly.
"Kay, goodnight."
"...Friend Ragna?" Imagine Ragna's surprise when he looked up to see Starfire and Blackfire standing at his doorway in pajamas Ghia'ta had bought for them.
"Let me guess." Ragna stated with a deadpan expression.
"The couch is uncomfortable, and it is no way to treat Tamaranian Royalty Earthling Ragna." Blackfire stated with a grunt and crossed arms.
"And I really like how soft your bed is, Friend Ragna! We Tamaranians are natural warm like fire!" Kori cheered, floating closer. Ragna looked over to see Jennifer shift herself so she was sleeping sideways, as did Aya and scooted just enough to where she was on the edge yet not falling off. Seeing no reason why they can't, Ragna beckoned them forward.
"YAY!" Starfire happily cheered as Blackfire laid down beside Jennifer, before Starfire joined her, laying right on top of her older sister. Ghia'ta moved just a bit so now Ragna was on his back with the Star Sapphire halfway on his body, Diana using her arm as a rest for the hybrid's head.
"Move aside!" Ragna grunted as something big jumped on his bed, looking down to see Crush in nothing but her bra and panties as she laid across the bottom of the bed.
"Let me guess, can't sleep?"
"Naw, I just want to sleep in your bed." Crush stated, closing her eyes and hugging the end of the blanket much to the annoyance of the others.
"Why?"
"Hey me and the girls spent all night playing Left 4 Dead, shit got hard too...well okay not as bad as you guys, but it went HARD." Crush said picking her teeth.
"Jeez, this will be even weirder if Donna asked t….wait a minute, where is your sister, Diana?" Ragna asked, noticing he had not seen Donna since he got back.
"...I'm under your bed manthing." The muffled raspy voice caught everyone by surprise, eyes shot wide open.
"Donna!" Diana whispered harshly.
"And if you try anything funny with my sister, a blade is right under you!" Donna threatened from under the bed.
"Um…" Ragna paled a bit, imaging the short steel sword pushed right into his mattress. Having enough of that, Ghia'ta conjured a pink hammer construct and shifted it under the bed, followed by a loud SMACK. A thud and all they heard was Donna's soft snores, Ragna sighing in relief before closing his eyes as it became quiet once more.
"..."
"...Friend Ragna?"
"..."
"..."
"...Mmm, yes Starfire?" Ragna asked, popping one eye open.
"...Are you afraid of what you earthlings call, spiders?" Starfire asked, the hybrid did not look around but he suspected everyone was looking at him for an answer.
"...Yes. Yes I am afraid of spiders. I don't want to get into why, so please don't ask." He grumbled, closing his eyes.
"...I'm afraid of Snorpvums." Starfire admitted.
"...What's a Snorpvum?" He asked with a cocked eyebrow.
"It's a big long creature with tentacles on our home world, of which I am not afraid of, nor anything on my home world." Blackfire stated.
"Oh but sister you fear the legend of the Wenabaygo-!"
"Sister be quiet!" Koye whispered harshly.
"The Wenabaygo?" Ragna couldn't help but chuckle at how funny it sounded.
"It's an ancient legendary creature said from a bygone time on Tamaran." Starfire stated, giggling as her sister grumbled.
"It's nothing to be embarrassed about, I'm afraid of the color yellow." Ghia'ta admitted, looking up from her spot.
"Really? Yellow?" Diana asked in befuddlement.
"Yellow is a scary color!" Ghia'ta said.
"Xanthophobia: The fear of the color yellow." Aya stated from the side.
"Oh and I'm afraid of the Dominators." Ghia'ta added.
"The what?" Ragna asked.
"Oh, it's an ancient species of world-conquering creatures so powerful it was said they had to be imprisoned to be defeated. No one knows where they are now, but it was said it took the combined might of the Green Lanterns and Guardians to take them down."
"Huh…..Okay...Mmmm...I'm…..I'm also afraid of the ocean." Ragna admitted, catching the girls by surprise, since it seemed everyone was now sharing their fears.
"PFFT!"
"Crush!" Jennifer reprimanded.
"I'm sorry, but you're afraid of water?!" The alien punk asked, covering her mouth.
"Not water, the ocean, as in the DEEP ocean." Ragna corrected, petting Ghia'tas' hair.
"Thalassophobia: An intense phobia of large bodies of water." Aya stated, holding a hand up.
"So you afraid of the ocean?" Jennifer asked.
"Yes, have you seen it? We've only explored like twenty percent of it and its DEEP, I don't even wanna think whats down there…..Ugh." Ragna shivered as he turned to Diana.
"Diana?" The hybrid was curious if Diana was afraid of...well, anything.
"...Gorgons. I never want to fight a gorgon." Diana stated, shifting in her spot almost like she was shivering.
"The hells a gorgon?" Crush asked.
"It's a serpent-like humanoid with a woman's body and snake-like hair, with one look to their eyes will turn you to stone. There are only three of them, and I wish not to face a single one." Diana admitted.
"Wow, that is really scary when ya think about it." Ragna said, nodding his head.
"...And I've never been a fan of the megalodons surrounding Themyscira."
"...I'm sorry did ya say, Megladons?" Ragna asked, tilting his head over to look up at the Amazon.
"Yes, they guard the waters of our beaches to keep sea monsters at bay. We also test ourselves against them…..but I've just never liked the sight of sharks in general."
"Galeophobia." Aya added.
"...Okay, so we're never taking a vacation on Themyscira's beaches, right?" Ragna asked, half jokingly and half serious.
"I guess even the mighty Wonder Woman has her limits." Tala whispered with a confident smirk.
"What about you, Tala?" Ragna asked, looking down at the darkness imbued seductress.
"I have a fear of ugly people."
"...WOW, so frightening, Tala." Jennifer muttered with a groan.
"What? Ugly people freak me out, and it's not just people I just think are ugly. Its UGLY people, like Quasimodo looking kind of people and I will not be judged for it, hmmph."
"...Crush?" Ragna asked, trying to change the subject.
"Fuck you guys like I'm gonna tell ya my fears. Now go to sleep, it's one in the afternoon!" Crush muttered rolling onto her side.
"...I have a fear of turning offline." Aya added, despite remaining emotionless in her statement.
"Jennifer?" Diana asked, wondering what the druid's fear was.
"...I have a fear of clowns and bugs." Jennifer admitted.
"...I got bad news on the clown one, Jen." Ragna muttered.
"Oh so you too were afraid of the spiders Friend Jennifer?" Starfire asked.
"Spiders are arachnids, not insects because they have two body parts, and more than six legs." Aya stated as a matter of fact.
"I don't get the difference, wouldn't it just be the same thing since they still have more than two legs?" Ghia'ta asked.
"Well by that account, horses aren't mammals like us humans cause they have four legs and no arms." Tala added.
"Well they're still mammals because they breathe just like whales are mammals for…..Wow actually thinking about it, I guess arachnids should just be insects." Ragna muttered rubbing his chin as Ghia'ta giggled.
"Technically they are both arthropods." Aya stated.
"Yeah I guess…...so how was your first time with the others, Ghia'ta?" Ragna asked, looking down at his girlfriend.
"Oh it was amazing, Ragna. I helped Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter beat up a group of villains!"
"Awesome, I'm proud of you, Ghia'ta."
"That is quite an achievement, who were they?" Diana asked, the Alien Princess still gushing over the praise.
"Oh, they were led by an alien criminal named DevilDog, and they're names were Goldface, Icicle, Dr. Light, and the Human Flame."
"...Okay you had to have made up all those names, especially that last one." Ragna said with a deadpan expression.
"Aren't all hero or villain names made up?" Tala asked.
"Yeah but they're cool, like Superman or Metallo or Wonder Woman. The Human Flame is a terrible super villain name." Ragna grumbled.
"Didn't you go by the Crimson Swordsman?" Diana asked with a cock eyebrow.
"It was temporary, and sounds cooler than the Human Flame…wait a minute did you say DevilDog…..PFFT." Ragna held in his laugh, followed by some of the others like Diana.
"Right?! It's hilarious!" Ghia'ta asked exasperated.
"His parents did not love him."
"GO THE FUCK TO SLEEP!"
"...What happened to him?" Ragna whispered, leaning towards his girlfriend.
"He was arrested by alien cops that landed on him, no doubt taking him back to their home world." Ghia'ta said. Admittedly she would have told Ragna about the yellow rock and the energy DevilDog used…but it's the last thing she wanted to think about, and she was sure they would never see it again.
"...Ragna?"
"Yeah?"
"All of those demonic spiders….they're gone right?" Ghia'ta asked, Ragna nodding his head.
"Yeah, they're all gone."
(A Devil's Justice)
"Cron, look at this." Kai stated as the two alien officers stared at the yellow rock. Their ship flew through the void of space, while DevilDog quietly sat in his cell across from them.
"What is it Kai?"
"I've been studying the Sacred Treasure DevilDog stole, and the computers show it is displaying a high nearly….infinite level of energy that has no recorded history." Kai said, typing at the computer.
"Hmm, perhaps it is why it is kept in the vaults, for safekeeping from the abuse DevilDog tried to use it for." Cron suggested while his partner hummed.
"Perhaps….but there is something else. The computer's monitor also state that this rock…seems to be made of a strange material…..as if…..it's not a rock at all." Kai stated.
"Wait, you're saying its not even a rock?" Both officers looked down at the floating object, noticing the small spikes over it.
"No…it's….it's an exoskeleton scale…..but what sort of creature could produce such powerful energy?" Kai wondered. However, their wonder and awe was interrupted as their alarms went off, their ship shaking a bit.
"The ship is being attacked by all sides!" Cron stated, typing away at his computer.
"By….a singular lifeform?" Kai asked in bewilderment as DevilDog looked up from his cell.
"...Wait a minute! Kai, the life forms energy is the same as th-!" Cron was cut off as the ship shook violently. From his cell DevilDog watched as the two officers turned elsewhere, charging at something out of his sight. However, his eyes widened as he heard the sounds of screaming before it went silent, noticing a bright yellow light for a second before he heard footsteps. Finally, someone came within view as they reached for the yellow artifact, the figure turning to face DevilDog.
"Interesting." He said, walking towards the cell as DevilDog's mouth dropped, his body shaking in shock before collapsing to his knees.
"Very interesting indeed. Tell me, where did you get this?" The being asked, holding up his right hand, revealing the yellow ring wrapped around his finger.
(A Devil's Justice)
What remained of the Redgrave High School was to be covered and buried in cement, whether it will be rebuilt here or not will remain unknown. Many know not of the horror below, the demons that tried to escape but were erased from existence, burned by the Hail Mary. Even one arachnid that spat out their last chance before burying it before turning to ash. It's job was to simply lay down more eggs….and it completed its mission. Buried within the ground hidden within darkness, a singular egg pulsed with red energy, shaking ever so slightly.

Ya know, when ya think about it, the Itsy Bitsy Spider Rhyme is all about failure. It's about dealing with things out of control…..but it's also about perseverance and moving through the worst of it…...Alright now that I'm done talking out of my ass and philosophizing a fucken childrens rhyme let's get to this:
Achievement Unlocked: Down came the Blood (You failed to conquer your fear)
My god, what a fucking roller coaster of emotions from rage, pain, loss, sadness, fucken happiness and jokes all around. I'd say this was actually a very satisfying ending to such a pretty simple three part arc if I say so myself. It was just write, not overly long, not to short, got all of the info I wanted to show and tease. Overall a nice C-Arc and a good start for Volume 2. Alright let's get into the storyline and start with the B-Plot with Ghia'ta, fun fact this was only gonna focus on Ragna's side of things, there was no Ghia'ta bit with Hawkgirl or even the villains. But after Volume 1 I decided to add it in and honestly it felt great. I felt this was a good start into one of her many character arcs, and something I had planned for a while, like I said MHA is a manga I thoroughly enjoy. Does it have its up and downs, yeah, but the one thing I felt is one of its core themes is...well I don't know the exact name at the moment but its basically teamwork more or less. Holding the Pillar of the World with everyone else. All Might gave everyone an age of Peace for a time, but now its up to Deku and the rest of UA to do so against Shigiraki and AFO. It ain't perfect, but damn do I love it.
Ghia'ta pretty much puts Ragna on a pedestal, while in itself is not wrong, I hope that when it all comes crashing down everyone is ready. I basically want her to go through the same journey Ragna did in his first two years by building her own rogue gallery, gathering the people's trust and love. I suppose you could say she is what the crowd want, and love which ends up putting her in the spotlight while Ragna will constantly take the fall since it IS technically his fault. IDW about that last part but the main part is Ghia'ta becoming her own Heroine and making a name as Star Sapphire, and a better one then the villanous one WHO she will meet VERY soon. Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter were pretty fun, I have this fun idea of having the three being their own little fun team kind of like Superman is with Batman or how Ragna and Diana will be the Brave and the Bold. I even got a funny little name for them but I won't spoil it. Sure Martian Manhunter wasn't properly developed but thats the point, we're building him up and Hawkgirl...well she's honestly amazing no matter what. DevilDog is...well he ain't a great villain but he served his purpose, no the main attraction is our four comedic villains who I am gonna have a great time with. Yeah they will return as a new team, and hopefully Dr. Light is better...considering what he did in the comics he got off easy. Uh Post Crisis version but it doesn't really matter. Anyways I think that is enough of that let's focus on the main plotline.
I will admit the main part for Jennifer was the ending and the fire dome part but thats what I liked, mainly the end where I can't believe I never took advantage of this character arc. She is basically a woman out of time (A few decades or so) and well she feels she doesn't belong in either Skartaris or Earth, so I think it helps I build more on her, create her into a new image. I actually have some fun and it starts with her magic class: Druid Sorceress. I basically have a lot of the magic users in different classes such as Zatanna being a magician, Tala being a witch, Etrigan being a champion, etc, etc. I want Jennifer's magic to be more nature based (Still part of the Chaos Magic Force so it still works) and it also brings in that little tidbit near the end. Got a little Elden Ring in here, love the fucken lore. So I'm gonna do more for Jennifer and build her and give her more character, I'm not saying she was bad in Warlord comics, but it was mainly focused on her father. I also need to work on a whole new doc differentiating classes between all characters (Almost like a DnD kind of thing) though its mainly titles since I have a whole doc focused on Ragna's abilities and skills. Anyways, this entire volume is about Jennifer getting into the harem along with Starfire, Blackfire, and Tala.
If ya had told me theres a fear for color I'd wouldn't believe, but the fears in this chapter are ACTUAL fears. Xanthophobia is a real phobia of the color yellow. And technically for a time it was a weakness for Green Lantern lol.
Speaking of Tala, her fear is based around OPM character Amai Mask fear with ugly people where she literally freaks out, though there is a fun little reason and you get the same idea from Amai Mask and even another character I'll keep a secret I based the origin of Tala off of. Her journey is gonna be a fun nice arc and it all started with saving Jennifer from the spider lol. Moving on with Diana, while yes her arc wasn't as big it also helped start with people recognizing her as Wonder Woman, a heroine of virtue and Truth. I felt like the DCAU was so fucken random with her character. My version starts as a mild version of Ame Comi before becoming the Heroine of Truth and Justice from Post Crisis/Rebirth (Don't include New 52 cause reasons...which is ironic I say that.). I'm also pushing the harem along and it should be properly form...well its already made but officially in the story it should be...NEXT chapter.
The Demon Spider (Not really THE Phantom, but you can guess who is now lol) wasn't suppose to be some grand villain, and it served the purpose for the major theme and lesson of this arc. This arc wasn't suppose to be some major fight that rocked the city, or some great erotic scene, it was suppose to be the lesson of inner fear and how it can take hold of you. Was it perfect? Probably not but I enjoyed it all the same and am proud with what I wrote. This was much more an emotional/conflict arc than it was a Battle of the Gods esque arc like Red Dawn or Paradise Lost. Sure in the end Ragna and Ghia'ta 'won' but did they really win? Sure Ragna pushed aside the minute someone needed his help but that's just how he is, everyone elses pain is first priority to fix before his. Much like in Paradise Lost he just...pushes it down, it's completely unhealthy and will not end well. It's why I didn't have it answered in the second volume of a long series. It will be settled before the end of the first saga, but we have to earn it. And Fear while a great weapon wielded by Demons, but if it is turned on them their powers begin fluctuating much like Spirit Pressure in Bleach. More villains are rising and are setting their sights on their prizes, soon to collide with our heroes in the coming future, lets see how it ends!
In the original draft for this arc, there was no Parker it was just gonna be the Phantom Demon, but I felt like it would go along with this overlong plotline I have for the series. It also includes the concept of Transfiguration for the series, which as Blood explains is a human becoming a demon while still alive. Another thing is that I was gonna give Ragna a weapon but I felt like that kind removes the point of the pain and loss. This wasn't really suppose to be a big rewarding arc like say Journey to the Center of Skartaris was in Vol 1.
The epilogue was a nice change of tune from the more emotional baggage from this and last volume. Listen I love emotional stuff but this series is suppose to be good and light hearted as well, fun and loving and Hopeful. It's why I added the bed scene in the end, it wasn't in the first draft of this story. I felt it not only made the characters seem more alive, but brought them all closer together (Literally and figuratively.) with each one having their own fears and even changing the subjects midway for the lols. A lot of the next stuff is now more light hearted more fun stuff. If I kept being edgy I'd just be Saiya's...well name a story of his lol. Hellgirl and Bride will return but for now let's focus on the Apartment/Heroine Girls for now cause thats gonna be a fun trip. The Batman one was a little annoying to write so I might change it around but for now I'm fine for what it is. And the epilogue teases of what is to come. Also next Fluff and Puff will be Crush and the others experience playing Left 4 Dead, gonna be fun. The adventure has just begun, and it's gonna be a crazy and fast ride...literally for Ragna's new power that will come soon.
Alright I think I'm gonna take a nice break from ADJ and focus on other things, well first take a few days off I've been writing this almost every night near two AM. I'm gonna work on my short stories and try and post the first chapter for The Marvelous Devil! WHOO! Let's get that train ah going!
Honestly I said I wouldn't read Dark Web until this summer but I heard it was over so I said fuck it and my thoughts are...It was fucken trash, it was not even a Spider-Man crossover, it was a fucken X-Men run that was basically 'Madelyne have a pissing fit and never take responsibility and put it ALL on Ben or Chasm, this arc could've just been solved in literally one comic as they did in one of the X-Men tie ins for this event. It's fucken bad, I thought Dark Crisis was bad fuck me was this just pointless. I could've sworn and maybe I just misread that this was event was suppose to end the Spiderverse storyline, maybe it was another event or something. Anyways what also makes this event bad was that it was...silly, like I felt the tone wasn't as serious as should've been. Like I get lighthearted jokes for Spider-Man it like one of his core characterisitics. However, none of this felt serious or even that terrible, fuck I felt the tension in AXE even I knew what was gonna happen I still felt it. Fuck writing these chapters I feel goose bumps up my arms with every word I write. Dark Web was just...silly, it wasn't even serious and kind of just pointless.
Yeah fuck it I'm done, I'm done reading comics until the Fall of X, I'll return when that storyline is done. I'm gonna be reading manga and actually enjoying life. I even got off twitter (Wasn't on it 24/7 but it was not fun regardless), I'm done with all that stuff. Everything is focused on writing my legit book (Cryptid stuff) and these series. Manga ain't perfect but fuck me is it entertaining and I'm not reading Tini Howard fucken garbage writing. She fucked Catwoman over let it be said, god dammit. You guys can tell me how Lazarus Planet is when its over I don't care enough to read it right now. Moving on.
Also one more rant I wanna go on is about FanFicition. Specifically this new fucken Email Opt In, where every SIX months you have to reactivate, this thing is stupid because it's not like people get an update on your Email, no its on the fucken bar right above your profile. WHY do we need this?! I didn't even know until like two weeks ago wondering why no story of mine or others were updating on my email. Like what the fuck is the point of this? Don't want a huge list of updates on your Gmail/Email? There's a fucken choice to just mass select it all and delete it all! And you can just check your Fanfic profile page for updates! THIS IS A FUCKEN MISTAKE! I finally reached a thousand followers, and it feels like I don't even got a quarter of them seeing my story because I don't know if people know about this option. Look I'm not expecting a thousand in one night, but I had so many I thought at least a a hundred or so for Volume 2. It doesn't make me wanna stop writing on FanFic but it's really infuriating. Okay moving on.
I...Man, can't wait for Dom to family all over Jason Momoa...fuck it's not even the last movie, its the beginning of the end FUCK. What could they possibly do?! THE MOON?!
I still plan to do a Batman chapter in memory of Kevin (RIP), I just gotta find the right moment and time.
I'm not gonna talk about MCU She-Hulk for the future except for two things and that is all. One: There is nothing wrong with twerking in itself, it's just a form of sexual dance and it can be hot...BUT CGi She-Hulk looks TERRIBLE and her twerking was BAD compared to...what was the crazy bitches name? Megan? IDW. The second is Titania...enough said.
Tears of the Kingdom is hype and I am all for it. I think that is it for now. I'll let you guys get to the final preview for the next chapter in volume 2.
Zer0the0mega108 out!
