I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here, the story advances further as Doctor Strange and the Nanatsu no Taizai members find themselves getting into a situation where they are being confronted by the Scarlet Witch…who is HELL-BENT to get her hands on SOMEONE…but something UNEXPECTED is about to happen…right this moment…

Ch. 39: Iruminati to no deai part 9
The scene shows that the Nanatsu no Taizai members meet up at the hallway and are now on their way to meet up with Elizabeth and the other girls, as Strange and Mordo stayed behind to confront the Scarlet Witch, which. Meliodas wondered what made Mordo change his mind and decided to help, which Meliodas said that he has no idea what made Mordo decide to help after being hostile for the past several minutes.
"What gives?"
"A while ago that Mordo guy was on our throats…now he's helping us…?"
"Yeah…"
"No clue…"
"You think that Mordo guy believe us now…?"
"Maybe…"
"Who knows…"
"No idea…"
As the Nanatsu no Taizai members are looking for the area where Elizabeth, Diane and Chavez are held, the Illuminati members passed by, as they glared at the Nanatsu no Taizai members as they still do not trust them, and vowed that once the Scarlet Witch has been vanquished they will deal with the Nanatsu no Taizai members later.
But as Meliodas gave a GOOD LUCK SMILE, the Illuminati members smacked him on the head, reminding the Nanatsu no Taizai leader that they haven't forgotten the INSULTS made, vowing to teach him a lesson he would never, ever forget, much to Ban and King's dismay as they recall what happened a while ago after the Illuminati found out that Meliodas was the reason why the Illuminati members got ticked off in the first place.
"This isn't over!"
"We haven't forgotten what you did earlier!"
"The insults you hurled against us!"
"We were greatly offended!"
"After this we're going to GRILL you!"
"We'll CASTRATE you!"
"Chop off your BALLS!"
"Look forward to it!"
After that the Illuminati members left, and there Ban and King sighed and told Meliodas to brace himself as they have a feeling that they won't be leaving this multiverse easily after the stunt that Meliodas pulled even though it did bought them time to prevent the Illuminati members to cast their vote to have Strange executed.
"Now you're in for it now, Meliodas…"
"Those guys haven't forgotten what you did…"
"Heh-heh-heh…"
"Although it bought us time…"
"Your antics only ticked them off…"
"Heh-heh-heh…"
"Better brace yourself…"
"We might face more complications…"
"Heh-heh-heh…"

Meanwhile the scene shows that Mordo and Strange are confronting the Scarlet Witch, but as the Scarlet Witch is bracing herself to do something malevolent, Mordo accidentally probed her mind and made a terrifying discovery, and there Mordo tells Strange to get his comrades and escape from this universe as able as possible, saying that the Scarlet Witch mustn't get her hands on Chavez, and while hesitant to explain why, Mordo said that Chavez plays a role on how to defeat her, and pleaded Strange to get going, even though Strange sensed that something happened that made Mordo act like that.
"As much as I hate saying this…get going! Protect that girl!"
"Mordo…"
"Find a way to defeat the Scarlet Witch! Something malevolent is at play!"
"What…?"
"The Illuminati will stall her…you take your comrades and go!"
"…fine…"
"Good! Now go!"
"Thanks!"
After that, Strange reluctantly did as told as he begin to escape from battle, and as the Scarlet Witch is about to stop him, Mordo struck her with a magical blast, telling her that she is not going anywhere and that she has to answer for the sudden intrusion that she made, which the Scarlet Witch is not too pleased, as she doesn't want to waste time.
She fired more hex blasts but Mordo countered it with his own, and the two are locked in an apparent stalemate as neither one are backing away, as Mordo tried to distract her by saying that Chavez has already left but the Scarlet Witch doesn't believe it as she can sense that her target is still here, and she intend to get her by hook or by crook.
"Sorry, you witch…that girl has already left. So stop causing trouble here…"
"Liar! I know she is here!"
"Get a life…"
"Do not try to stall me! Where is that girl? Where is she?"
"She already left…so stop harassing her…"
"Don't you mock me!"
"You got a problem…?"
"Damn you!"
Angered, the Scarlet Witch used a strong hex blasts and struck Mordo, sending him crashing against the walls which knocked him out, and proceeded to find which area Chavez is confined, intending to capture her through any means necessary, not caring about what would happen next as all she has in her head is to capture Chavez and nothing more.
Just as the Scarlet Witch was about to reach where Chavez is kept, she was confronted by Mister Fantastic, Captain Marvel, Captain Carter, and Black Bolt, who blocked her way and tells her to surrender or suffer the consequences of her actions for the incursion she committed.
"Stop!"
"Stand down now!"
"Or face the consequences!"
"Get out of my way! I must have that girl!"
"Do not make this hard on yourself!"
"Resistance is futile!"
"Surrender immediately!"
"Damn you! Get out of my way or else…!"
Mister Fantastic attempted to persuade her to stand down, saying that he doesn't want to hurt her, but the Scarlet Witch only turned him down, indicating that she was going to kill them all if they didn't let her pass. When Mister Fantastic realized that Maximoff had no intentions of surrendering, he told her that Black Bolt could kill her with a whisper, in hopes of getting her to stand down.
"Okay…listen up…"
"…"
"My friend here is VERY NOISY…"
"…"
"Piss him off and he'll SCREAM at you at the TOP OF HIS LUNGS..."
"…"
"And I mean it…"
"…"
However, the Scarlet Witch wasn't fazed and used her reality-altering chaos magic to REMOVE Black Bolt's mouth. Black Bolt screamed in shock, causing his own powers to backfire on him, imploding his head in the process. As his corpse fell to the floor lying in a pool of blood, Mr. Fantastic was shocked, which Captain Marvel sighed and told Mr. Fantastic that he shouldn't have revealed to the Scarlet Witch about Black Bolt's power.
"You are such an idiot, Richards…"
"…"
"Telling that witch that Black Bolt is VERY NOISY…you just gave her an advantage"
"…"
"So now we lost an advantage..."
"…"
"And you call yourself an intelligent man…? You're so stupid…"
"…"
Embarrassed at what Captain Marvel just said, Mister Fantastic attempted to subdue the Scarlet Witch using his stretching powers, but she lifted him up into the air and began shredding him. As Mister Fantastic yelled in agony, she used her powers to blow up his brain, killing him.
Captain Carter and Captain Marvel then began to attack the Scarlet Witch, seeing that they are slowly losing their advantage and cannot afford to lose. Captain Marvel began to overpower their opponent, but the Scarlet Witch managed to throw Captain Marvel into the walls of the headquarters. Captain Carter and the Scarlet Witch then began to fight, with Captain Carter throwing her shield at opponent.
However, the Scarlet Witch stopped the shield with her powers and threw it back at Captain Carter, cutting her in half, killing her on the spot, just as Captain Marvel broke out of the wall and began attacking her, destroying the headquarters in the process. However, the Scarlet Witch knocked Captain Marvel to the ground before causing a statue to fall on top of her, killing her.
After that the Scarlet Witch continued to make her way towards Chavez's cell, However she meets Strange and the Nanatsu no Taizai members where she demanded to know where Chavez is being kept though Strange tried to persuade her to stop yet she would not listen and is ready to fire a strong hex blasts, but she was stopped by Xavier, who used his powers to enter the Scarlet Witch's mindscape.
Seeing that the Scarlet Witch stopped, Strange tells Meliodas to use this chance to get going as they are going to free Chavez and the other girls, and though Ban offered to PHYSICALLY stall the Scarlet Witch, Strange tells him not to as they all need to escape and ensure that Chavez and the others are safe and unharmed.
"Just go!"
"What about you?"
"I'll catch up!"
"You sure?"
"Yes!"
"You're facing her all by yourself?"
"I'll be fine! Just go!"
"…"
Sighing, Ban nodded as he and Strange joined Meliodas in heading towards where Chavez, Elizabeth and Diane are being kept. Meanwhile the scene shifts inside the Scarlet Witch's mindscape, where Xavier found her astral self, trapped in rubble, and there he made a startling discovery: she is being manipulated and controlled by Shuma-Gorath!
As he attempted to grab her, red fog appeared behind him, and the Scarlet Witch's astral self was dragged into the rubble by a mysterious force. Before Xavier could react, Shuma-Gorath appeared from the fog and grabbed his head before twisting it with brute force, which snapped Xavier's neck, causing him to die in the real world.
Back at the real world, the Nanatsu no Taizai members reached the room where Chavez, Elizabeth and Diane are kept and the King told Palmer what really happened, and she reluctantly accepted the explanation without question, seeing that the Nanatsu no Taizai members are not malevolent.
The Illuminati's efforts in stalling the Scarlet Witch have also bought Palmer enough time to free Chavez, Elizabeth and Diane, and they joined Meliodas and the others as they escape into the sewers, where they rendezvous with Strange, having managed to lure her away before managing to find them.
"Strange!"
"Strange!"
"You're okay!"
"For now. Come on…we got no time to lose."
"What about her?"
"The red-haired woman…"
"Is she…?"
"On her way…that's why we got to go!"
However the Scarlet Witch continues to pursue them into the Gap Junction, where Strange retrieves the Book of Vishanti. As the she prepares to attack them Strange began using the Book of Vishanti, and in doing so caused Shuma-Gorath to appear, surprising everyone, and there Strange realized that this is what Mordo meant about what he is trying to say earlier.
Seeing that time is of the essence, Strange asked Meliodas, King, Diane and Ban to stall Shuma-Gorath as he would try to free the Scarlet Witch from Shuma-Gorath's control, which the Nanatsu no Taizai members nodded in agreement, seeing what Strange has in mind, and agreed to his request as they can tell that he is going to save a life.
"Guys…can you help?"
"Okay!"
"Okay!"
"Okay!"
"Stall that ugly octopus until I manage to find a spell and get that ugly octopus out of here…"
"Okay!"
"Okay!"
"Okay!"
However, Shuma-Gorath was not amused and commanded the Scarlet Witch to kill the meddlers and take Chavez, which the Scarlet Witch nodded in obedience, showing that she is under Shuma-Gorath's influence.
"Kill them! Kill them all!"
"Yes…"
"But spare that girl! We need her alive!"
"Yes…"
"That I command!"
"Yes…"
"Do it!"
"Yes…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as Strange and the Nanatsu no Taizai members are able to buy time and rescued Chavez…but the Scarlet Witch was able to cause some damage as she killed the Illuminati members before Shuma-Gorath is exposed, and now Meliodas and the gang are ready to confront him and the possessed Scarlet Witch…
