After receiving many comments/questions about the lack of continuity in this story, I have put a lot of work into editing/revising it to make it easier and more enjoyable to read. Some of the changes I've made include:
- The only chapters included in this story are the first ten chapters, and they are all in chronological order. Any other chapters have been removed and will be republished when the story reaches that point chronologically
- Some scenes have been deliberately skipped over because they are no different in this story than they were in the original show. I have made an effort to mark the places where this happens
- The missing ending of chapter 3 has been added
- More dates and times have been added to help readers follow the progress of time
Other things I wish to address that people have commented on:
- Yuki's name: The character's original name is Yuki Judai. The dub changes it to Jaden Yuki. I have changed it to Muto Yuki/Yuki Muto, because he is the son of Muto Yugi/Yugi Muto. I know that originally Yuki was Judai's last name, but in Japan it is a unisexual first name as well. I have kept Jaden as an alias he uses for convenience sake.
- Fusion is a new summoning method at this point in my Yu-Gi-Oh! Timeline because of the recent discovery of Polymerization. Although there are other, earlier forms of Fusion summoning, they all use Polymerization, and the absence of its discovery makes any Fusion summoning impossible in the past
One other thing that has changed is Zane's duel with Yuki in chapter 4. When I went to write chapter 9 I realized the presence of Transcendental Wings in that duel broke continuity, so I altered the duel a bit. I've added a note in that chapter as well.
In conclusion, I hope this story is easier and more enjoyable to read now. If you notice anything in particular that is still confusing, please let me know and I will do my best to fix it. I'm also going to try and get chapters out more frequently now that I'm no longer writing in disjointed pieces, so keep your eyes open for that.
Thank you so much; everyone knows that it's the readers that make the author.
