A talking, happy-go-lucky giraffe swaps places with Effie just before the 74th Hunger Games, Freaky-Friday style. Oblivious to Panem's way of life, she unknowingly interferes with the Games' events, then busts 4 tributes out of the arena. With the authorities looking for them, the giraffe must now get the tributes to safety—but first she'll have to help them trust each other.

Roselyn Larson won her Games five years ago, and her life has since then become a never-ending trial. Forced into the dark underbelly of Capitol society, she doesn't have much to live for.
