A D-Structs and Skrap-It story

Chapter 1

A Welcoming Sight

It had been a few days since D-Structs fell into the ice. The large T-Trux was sadly forced to wait. The prolonged stay just angered and irritated him. This frozen wasteland was an annoyance and one experience he wished to forget quickly.

He sustained severe damage from the Pounders and the freezing ice waters. It was a miracle to everyone that he survived. He took a nasty hit to the head, and the Reptools had to seek out several parts to fix the injury, which caused the delay.

D-Structs hated being made to stay, but any movement caused his world to spin because of the head injury, and he ended up face-down on the ground.

They were lucky to get parts for him since T-Trux parts were scarce in this area. Once Short-screw got all the parts. His Reptools quickly got to work fixing the annoyed T-Trux. His angered expression was making everyone nervous, and many felt he would start tearing down the HUB at any moment if he didn't get out soon.

A day after his repairs were all put in place D-Structs finally got the all-clear that he was fit enough to travel but was advised not to go charging into another fight anytime soon.

D-Structs made haste to leave, but as he went, Reptools of all kinds gathered and waved him bye, wishing him good luck and thanking him for getting rid of the Pounders.

D-Structs didn't care for their praise or thanks. It was Skrap-It's health that mattered. Thinking of the little Scraptool, he looked down, watching as Skrap-It settled down on his tread. He was very much enjoying the praise and the cheers, encouraging them to continue.

When they finally stepped out of the HUB, the snow was glowing white as usual. The T-Trux shivered slightly as the cold struck his body. He had been stuck in the warmth of the HUB for several days. He had forgotten how cold this place could be, but he will adjust. He is a T-Trux, after all, built to survive anything.

"D-Structs! Hey, over here!" A cheery voice yelled, the direction coming from the left. He turned his head, seeing Snowclear heading towards him as she sang to herself.

D-Structs groaned, thinking he was safe from her annoying appearance.

Looking down first, he stared at Skrap-It. He was still concerned for him even though he got fixed. The little tool took a nasty hit when the avalanche struck them. "Skrap-It, are you alright?"

The Scraptool turned to look up at him. "I'm fine. Just glad to be leaving this dump! "twitch." He climbed up his lover until he settled on his hand. "However, I'm happier that we're together again."

The T-Trux agreed and then did something that shocked the little tool. He brought Skrap-It closer to his face and gave him affectionate rubs.

The Scraptool froze, eyes widened with shock. Never had D-Structs shown affection like this before. He was used to him bashing him with his head or tail if he annoyed him too much, but he never rubbed him so gently. It shocked him just how gentle he could be with him, given the huge size difference.

Skrap-It was blushing. His whole body felt so warm that what little snow fell on him melted instantly. He was about to close his eyes to enjoy the moment when-

"Don't you dare scare me like that again! GOT IT!" D-Structs roared at his face. "You're the only good thing I have in my life, and I'm not losing you, no matter what!" He glared at him before letting the tool climb upon his head.

Skrap-It hurried to settle but took the chance to kiss his lover's head. He was waiting for D-Structs to snap at him or growl, but he never did. "I'll try not to let it again *Twitch*

"You better!" The large T-Trux snarled at him before Snowclear finally reached them.

The Plowasaur, for some reason, was crying quite loudly now. "Aww, I'm so happy and sad simultaneously. You're an amazing Trux D-Structs. Guess I'm sad cause... I'M GONNA MISS YOU!"

D-Structs was getting tired of her fast. "We barely knew each other, and I spent most of the time unconscious."

"Yeah, but what time we shared was special!" She just sobbed louder than ever now.

Skrap-It rolled his eyes, getting irritated by this. He coughed a little, wanting to interrupt her little sob sessions. "Look, can we just go now!"

Snowclear jumped a bit and quickly blinked the tears away. "Oh, sorry, I get a little emotional when strangers leave. Well, follow me, dears! The Forest awaits!"

She quickly turned around and headed west. D-Structs followed behind her while everyone from the HUB waved goodbye and cheered for them.

D-Structs followed Snowclear as she happily sang to herself once more and rambled about what she liked about snow the most.

He didn't care to pay attention to her, his mind focusing on Skrap-It. He nearly lost him only a few days ago. He swore he would never allow such a thing to happen again, no matter what. Skrap-It will be safe.

...

Several hours passed before the snow began to fade and green started to appear. Once the white was gone completely, Skrap-It jumped down from D-Structs and touched the ground, moving his feet against the grass and leaves. "Haha! I never thought I would be so happy to see and feel dirt and leaves!"

D-Structs smiled. It was a welcoming sight indeed. Not only for the look, but the smell pleased him. He feared his sense of smell began to dull in the snow and ice, but thankfully here, they were alive again.

He stared at the vast Forest before him. Thick trees and vines stood tall before him. He looked left and right, and the Forest seemed to stretch for miles.

He had no idea what lay ahead, but he had no interest in this place being his new home. He wanted something very similar to the crater: wide open spaces, plenty of ore, and Trux to rule over.

Snowclear approached him. "Well, this is goodbye. Just keep heading straight, and you'll clear the Forest,". She started crying.

D-Structs grumbled. He was so done with her nonsense. "We have to move on."

"Snowclear nodded. "Ah *Sniff* of course, just remember me, will you?"

"Oh, don't worry, we'll never forget you," Skrap-it said with sarcasm clearly in his voice.

"Ahhh, aren't you sweet Scraptool! Well, I'll better be getting back. I wish you all the best, T-Trux, and thank you once again for helping us. You did good. A lot of Dinotrux will be saved thanks to you". She smiled up at him, then turned and headed back home.

D-Structs stood still, looking as she moved away. Letting her words sink in. He helped others, but it wasn't his intention. He didn't care for others, just Skrap-It, but his actions saved others.

"D-Structs, you ok?" The little tool looked up, worried about him.

"Ah yes..come on, let's get going. We'll get through this place soon and find our home together."

Skrap-It smiled and quickly went back up to sit on D-Structs before they moved into the deep Forest.
