Rex's Universe
Bug Jar
In this universe, a "Nanite Event" spread microscopic machines called nanites across the world, and nanites are present in nearly every living being. When a person, animal, or plant's nanites spontaneously activate, the victim is mutated into a being known as an "Exponentially Variegated Organism," or E.V.O. for short, becoming monstrous and typically losing any sanity and going on a violent rampage.
The EVO threat is controlled by an organization known as Providence. EVOs, Providence, and other places like the Bug Jar. And that just happens to be there place where Providence's secret weapon known as Rex Salazar is there.
Rex Salazar is a young EVO with the ability to cure other EVOs, including the ability to control his nanites using the Omega-1 Nanite. He can grow weapons and machines from his body, often using his limbs, and can communicate with technology, machines, and even with nanites themselves.
He is there along with his brother Caesar Salazar and Ben Tennyson. Ben Tennyson is a teenager from a parallel universe who wields the Ultimatrix. He formerly owned the Omnitrix. He arrived in Rex's world through a space-time rift.
When Ben first arrived in Rex's universe, they both got into a brawl as Ben mistook Rex for an alien while Rex mistook him for an EVO. Ben was eventually captured by the Providence Defect Group, but he escaped, trying to find a way back home.
Once he finally realized that there was no way back he gave up and decided to assist Rex in his time of need. At this point, Ben met Caesar, who had come to save them both from Alpha, a dangerous creation made by Caesar six years ago during the Nanite Project.
After Alpha turned hostile, Ben used Cannonbolt to escape with Rex from Alpha. The two went back to The Plant where they played basketball and explained their origins. However, Alpha attacked the EVO containment to absorb the nanites from the present EVOs, including Rex. Ben helped save Rex from Alpha, causing him to flee.
And that's what they are doing now.
"And, that my friend is how you save the world." Ben says with a smirk, while Rex sighs in relief.
Ben wore a black shirt, blue jeans and a green jacket with white stripes and the number 10 on it, and black and white Converse-style shoes. Ben wears the Ultimatrix on his left wrist.
Rex and Ben have just defeated Alpha. Because of that, the nanite was dispursed. But Rex took control over Alpha's Nanites and compacted them into a baseball-sized ball of extremely dense matter.
"Very clever, little brother." Caesar complimented as he pulls out a device and scans Alpha. "The density of this sphere is over 30 grams per centimeter cubed. It would be extremely difficult for Alpha to slip through the molecules of this, assuming it survived compaction."
The two Salazar brothers stand up, as Caesar looks at the heroes.
"We need to get rid of it." Caesar says with determination as he pulls out the Null Void projector.
"Caesar, wait." Rex says as he tries to stop his brother.
Rex is Hispanic, being half-Mexican and half-Argentinian. He is most normally seen with lightly spiked, slicked back dark hair. He is also taller than most people his age. Rex also wears a pair of orange goggles on top of his head, with a T-shirt that is blue on the top-half and white on the bottom-half, with two orange rectangles on the left pectoral.
Rex wears black pants with blue geometrical patterns that glow whitish-blue whenever Rex uses his powers. He also wears blue gloves with orange cuffs and blue-black shoes. His clothes are basically having a bunch of rips and tears on it considering that he was in a fight.
"Rex, I wasn't fully able to repair the void gun." Caesar explains. "I'm not sure how long my repairs will hold before it discharges. We only get one shot at this, and we have to do it fast. It's now or never, Rex."
Rex looks at his new friend Ben, who just nods in agreement that it's time to go home. Caesar steps a few feet back from them and activates the portal, at the same time Ben and Rex look at each other and fist bump as a goodbye.
Suddenly the Null Void projector starts to malfunction, with the portal turning blue. Before anyone can react, the portal begins to suck in Ben, Rex, and the Alpha ball in the portal, causing it to close permanently.
"Rex!" Caesar yells out his brother's name, but it was too late as he, Ben, and Alpha are gone for good.
Caesar, hope the portal didn't kill them and just take them back to either the Null Void or Ben's world. Unfortunately, he was so wrong, as it takes the three of them to an entirely new world.
Stuttgart, Germany
It was currently nighttime in the city of Stuggart, Germany. In a particular building, it was housing a gala of some kind as many people were dressed up and were talking and having a good time. On the outside, it was a bright city as cars continued to roll in the entrance wanting to get inside.
Out of nowhere, a blue portal opens up in the sky. The city of Stuggart has no ideas as they all were oblivious to it as two teens fell on top of that building. Those two teens in particular happen to be Ben and Rex.
Groaning in pain, Rex looks up to see it was nighttime. "Woah, uh what just happened?" Rex asks as he helps Ben up to his feet.
"I don't know, but I don't like this." Ben answers as he looks at his surroundings. "It doesn't seem like we are in my world. That portal definitely didn't take us to the Null Void."
"There where are we?" Rex asks.
"My guess is that we might be in another world." Ben suggests. "Maybe in this world, they have heroes."
"That is if they don't lock us up first." Rex says.
"Unless we give them a reason to. Especially if we have to fight them." Ben agrees.
Suddenly the teen heroes begin to hear shouting and screaming. Running over to the edge of the room, they can see the crowd fleeing from the building.
A man who appears to be 6'2" was in a business before he began glowing as he now wears a mix of green and golden armor and robes, a golden shoulder pad sticking out of his right, and a black leathery one on his left. The man also appears to have jet-black hair with green eyes. Lastly, he was holding a golden scepter more than a meter long, its end being two curved blades, the taller one easily bigger than the smaller ones, and in between the two a glowing blue gem.
This just happens to be Loki, the God of Mischief, as he seems to be terrorizing the citizens of Stuggart. But what he is actually doing is currently unknown to the teen heroes up above.
The people who escaped fleeing from him have turned into a crowd of people. Police sirens were heard, Loki turned to see a police car racing towards him, and with no hesitation, he fires a bolt of blue energy, the car flipping over in the process.
The crowd of people attempted to flee, only for a clone of Loki to appear in their path. They tried to flee from the other way, their path blocked by another Loki, and a third forming by the back, the four Loki's trapping the civilians in the square.
"Kneel before me." Loki demanded, the civilians panicking and scrambling for an exit. "I said" Loki slammed the bottom of the Scepter to the ground, and it and the other three's Scepter's glowing blue. "KNEEL!" Loki's voice echoed over the crowd, commanding and quietening them into shock. The crowd's fear reflected on their faces, complying and kneeling down before the God, to Loki's pleasure.
Back with Ben and Rex, they were continuing watching from above. They both seem to be upset about what's happening to the citizens, but mostly Rex.
"This guy is going to get a taste of my puño." Rex began as he forms his Smack Hands. They seem to be a massive orange gauntlet.
But that was quickly dismissed by Ben. "Wait, we can't just jump in and start fighting. We need to be smart about this, so the citizens won't get in the crossfire." Ben explains.
Rex wasn't liking this idea. "We can't wait, every second we are wasting another person will get hurt."
"I know, I don't like it either. But for now, we just need to lay low and wait for our opening. Then well strike." Ben plans, which Rex reluctantly agrees to.
Loki embraced them with his arms out wide and he smiled broadly."Is not this simpler?" Loki asked them while walking into the crowd and passing by their kneeling forms. "Is this not your natural state?" He waved his Scepter towards them. "It's the unspoken Truth of Humanity, that you Crave Subjugation. The bright lure of Freedom diminishes your life's joy in a mad scramble for Power, for Identity." He stopped by the center of the crowd. "You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will Always Kneel."
As the words resonate with the kneeling crowd, an elder German man refuses to kneel and stands, heroically.
"Not to men like you." The elderly man said defiantly.
Loki continued to grin. "There are no men like me."
The man disagreed. "There are always men like you."
Loki's smile faltered for second, clear anger peaking from his eyes. "Look to your elder, people." Loki said, raising and aiming the Scepter towards him as it glowed. "Let him be an example."
Loki fired the bolt of energy, just as Rex and Ben were about to step in and quickly stop the God of Mischief, but someone else was quicker. Before it could hit the man, a six-foot figure in blue jumped down and a red, white, and blue starred shield blocked and reflected the bolt back onto Loki, the God of Mischief fell to the ground on his ass from his own blast.
The man rose to his feet in his uniform. The uniform seemed to be mostly blue, the stomach of the same red and white stripes and the silver star on his chest. Silver bands were on his shoulders, the area of his biceps white, and his hands and wrists clothed in red gloves. His legs were likewise blue with red boots for his feet and a silver and blue belt around his waist, and covering his head was a blue helmet, with a white A on the forehead and silver wings by the sides. And strapped to his right arm was his trusty shield, its shine pristine and flawless as ever. This just happens to be Steve Rogers A.K.A Captain America, a World War Two veteran as he was frozen in ice almost seventy years ago. But right now he is back and ready to fight for the world once more.
"Woah…" Ben said impressed with what Captain America has done with his shield.
"I know, but who is that guy?" Rex asks.
"I don't know, but let's give him a hand." Ben said as he dials his Ultimatrix as he scrolls through. "Four Hands to be exact." Finding the right alien, Ben jumps off the roof while slamming the dial. Transforming into his desired alien.
"Hey, you're not leaving without me." Rex said as he jumps off the roof as well as he forms his machines.
"You know, the last time I was in Germany," Captain America said as he walked down the steps, the people looked at him in awe. "And saw a man standing above everybody else, we ended up disagreeing."
"The Soldier." Loki growled, getting up to his feet, "The man out of time".
"I'm not the one who's out of time." Captain America replied.
A blast of green light illuminated the buildings above, causing gasps and confused shrieks within the kneeling crowd. Loki's eyes widened as he realized Captain America wasn't alone in this battle. Captain America meanwhile stood ready to take on whatever lay ahead.
This humanoid alien is approximately twelve feet tall, has two pairs of four-fingered arms and a red complexion. It has well-developed muscles and has well-developed muscles. He has four eyes: the main pair as well as a smaller pair below them, but he does not have ears or a nose on his head.
He has a black stripe running from the bottom of his chin to the bottom of his lip. His forearms have spikes that resemble whiskers. There was a gold wristband and ankle bands on the creature, as well as a gold waistband on underwear, as well as two gold sashes on his chest. In addition to green eyes, black hair, and wearing the Ultimatrix symbol on his chest, he also had a black ponytail.
This happens to be one of Ben's first classic aliens when he was a kid that he has called Four Arms. The alien rans towards Loki, who was surprised to see this creature in front of him.
"A Tetramand?" Loki asks in confusion before he was sucker-punched in the face sending him flying away from the crowd into a nearby building. Loki's scepter landed nearby with a resounding clank, it's owner covered in rubble from the impact.
"Yeah…whatever your plans is, it's so not happening." Four Arms said in satisfaction as people scream away from the chaos that is happening.
Most of them were shocked by the looks of what Four Arms is looking like as they scrambled away. Even Captain America was surprised to see a creature just punch Loki like he was nothing. But whoever this creature is he has to be worried about him as he hasn't determined if this guy is working for Loki to make it staged or not.
"What are you?" Captain America asks.
"A friend." Four Arms answered with a smile on his face.
Captain America turned around to see Loki getting up from the punch before he could say anything. Despite the impact against the building, getting up was not an issue for Loki as he had an angry look and as he picked up his scepter, he was once again punched in the back. As a result, he was right in front of Captain America and Four Arms.
"Sorry, you're not getting up and using that scepter of yours." Rex said with a smug expression while wearing his goggles and transforming his Smack Hands back to normal.
That's when on cue, the Quinjet flew and hovered above, Natasha Romanoff A.K.A Black Widow on the controls and flipping a switch. A mounted gun popped out of the bottom of the ship and aimed towards Loki.
"Loki, you and your associates drop the weapons and stand down." Black Widow demanded over the PA, while she thinks Ben and Rex are working with Loki.
"Hey lady, we aren't with this creep." Rex yells at her as he is not particularly happy that she thinks he is working with the enemy.
The Asgardian responded by quickly firing another bolt of energy at the jet, Black Widow veering it away before it could strike. Captain America threw his shield in response at Loki, knocking Loki back a bit.
"Get everyone out of here!" Captain America shouted to Four Arms and Rex. He doesn't care right now, all that matters is getting Loki. And if that creature says he is on his side, he will have to trust him since he did save him. Plus there is really not any time to debate on the situation.
"We're on it." Rex replies as he forms an orange hover motorbike that Rex forms out of his lower legs. To that end, he rides over to the civilians and takes them aboard his vehicle while driving as far from them as he can.
With Ben, he slammed the Ultimatrix on his chest. In another green flash of light, he seems to be a semi-armored Velociraptor. He has black orbs on his feet and wears a black cone-like helmet with a sliding protective visor. His visor is made up of his skin and part of his skull. Whenever his visor is lifted, one can see his blue face, green eyes, black lips, and stripes running under and in between his eyes; the rest of his head's features are unknown. The alien has five blue stripes on his tail and wears a black bodysuit and a turtleneck-like shirt with a white stripe on the center. And the Ultimatrix symbol was on his chest.
This happens to be another one of Ben's classic aliens when he was a kid that he usually calls XLR8. "Woah." XLR8 says surprised to see he still has unlocked his old aliens. "I'm still surprised that he is unlocked."
XLR8 sped around, guiding shocked onlookers out of the way, each one disappearing from the road. In addition, the teenager took care not to make anyone to suffer whiplash by carrying one person at a time. This was a bit less convenient, but less dangerous.
Meanwhile, Captain America rushed at the God, the shield bouncing back into Rogers's hands. As civilians ran away, Captain America punched Loki across the face, the Agsardian's head snapping back at the force. Loki looked back to Captain America, the former surprised at the human's strength and the latter surprised at the God taking the hit easily.
Loki attacked striking the bottom of the Scepter at Captain America, who blocked it with his shield. Loki slashed upward with the blade of the Scepter, pushing the shield upwards, before quickly slamming the bottom of the Scepter onto Captain America's side, sending the super-soldier tumbling away.
Captain America rolled to a stop on his knees, growling frustrated before tossing the shield at Loki again. Loki batted the shield away with the Scepter, while Captain America ran towards Loki. Captain America fired a right jab which Loki dodged and attempted to slash at Captain America with a horizontal slash, Captain America ducking the attack. Loki tried a downward diagonal slash, Captain America ducking the attack and countering with a jab at the side of the demigod. Loki struck back slamming the side of the Scepter onto Captain America's back, sending him flying to the ground.
Loki advanced on the super soldier, placing the butt of the staff on the recovering man's kneeling form. "Kneel." Loki demanded.
Captain America grabbed the butt and tossed it aside. "Not today!" He exclaimed as he jumped up and roundhouse kicked Loki back.
Rex had managed to get the last civilian out of danger before engaging Loki, slamming into the Asgardian once again. He attempted to follow up with another strike, only to breeze through what appeared to be a mirage "Loki", the projection fading away upon contact.
"Whoa! Didn't know he could do that!", Rex exclaimed.
"That won't work on me again, boy!" Loki sneered.
Meanwhile, on the Quinjet, Black Widow is unable to get a good aim at Loki.
"The guy's all over the place." Black Widow muttered to herself as she didn't want to fire on Captain America who could be in the crossfire. During this time, she watches how the other two people push the civilians out of the way. Despite their good intentions, she does not trust them yet since she has no idea who or what they are. Besides, it might just be part of Loki's plan after all.
In the midst of Loki tossing Captain America off of him, XLR8 comes in and gives Loki a powerful right hook, Black Widow's com picked up a new voice. "Agent Romanoff." A voice spoke out. "You miss me?" Her Quinjet's PA system was glitched out and overridden as it started playing Shoot To Thrill. Black Widow sighed in exasperation.
From the ground, Captain America, XLR8, Rex, and Loki turned their gaze upwards, their attention momentarily drawn towards the SHIELD jet, now blaring AC/DC's " Shoot to Thrill" from its PA system.
From the sky, a new party had entered the fray. Tony Stark, A.K.A Iron Man had just flown in wearing his Mark six suit. It is a red and gold armor suit, with a blue glow in the eye socket, along with a blue glow on the chest, which powered up the entire suit.
"Cause I Shoot To Thrill! And I'm Ready To Kill!"
Captain America, XLR8, Rex, and Loki looked up to see Iron Man flying toward them.
"And I Can't Get Enough And I Can't Get My Fill! Cause I"
Upon arrival, Iron Man aimed his repulsors at a recovering Loki before unleashing a twin blast from both palms that caught the Asgardian in the chest, knocking him back against the concrete walkway, his staff clattering uselessly a width away from him.
The Armored hero landed in a crouch with a resounding clang, his metallic suit impacting the asphalt in a burst of smoke and sparks.
"Shoot To Thrill! Ready to Kill!"
Iron Man immediately activated his suit's advanced arsenal, a metallic whirr activated on different parts of his suit, aiming an arsenal of primed lasers, rockets, and repulsors at the prone Loki. "Make your move, Reindeer Games." Iron Man said as Rex forms his Smack Hands just to be safe.
Loki looked up to see Iron Man and the Quinjet aiming down at him, Captain America, XLR8, and Rex joining Iron Man's side. Loki's golden armor shimmered gold and faded, leaving Loki in his regular attire and raising his hands in surrender.
"Good move." Iron Man said, retracting his weapon back.
"Mr. Stark." Captain America greeted as he was out of breath, but his gaze focused on Loki.
"Captain." Stark greeted back. "Is it just me or is there a living Velociraptor and a kid with mechanical hands next to us?" He asks as he points to the two that is behind Captain America as he has his arm's repulsor extended warily, it's mechanical chime indicating it was primed for attack.
"Thanks for the assist." XLR8 thanked as he put his visor up.
"Yeah, that's a pretty cool. Who's your tailor?" Rex asks as he turns his Smack hands back to normal.
"Uh….don't you who I am?" Iron Man ask in confusion as everyone knows who he is.
"Sorry, we just got in this universe just five minutes ago." XLR8 explains.
"This universe? Sorry dude, but the Multiverse is just a theory." Iron Man told them.
"Was a theory, but we are living proof that it's real." Rex told the billionaire.
"And what are you two exactly?" Iron Man quizzed, cocking his head to the side.
XLR8 merely responded by slapping the Ultimatrix symbol on his chest, reverting back to his human form with a blast of verdant light. The teen folded his hands and gave a smirk.
"...Uh, Jarvis, remind me to hold off on liquor before a flight" Tony said after a long pause, repulsor arm lowering slowly.
" You're currently not intoxicated, sir" a mechanized voice came from his suit.
"Huh...really? Could've sworn I was seeing a Veliceraptor turn into a kid", Tony quipped, his helmet flipped open as he appraised the teen in question. "As well as seeing another kid having mechanical hands turning to normal."
"We're not kids!" Ben and Rex say at the same time with their arms cross as they glare at Iron Man. "We are teenagers."
"What is with adults thinking we are still kids, I mean we are almost eighteen for crying out loud." Rex said in annoyance as he hates adults calling him a kid when he prefers to be called a teenager.
"Stark, they saved my life. I think they could be trusted, plus they seem to be telling the truth base on their body language." Captain America tells Iron Man who doesn't seem to buy it by one second.
So….how was that chapter? Pretty long right? I hope you all love it, some of the dialogue is a bit bad in my take, but overall here is the brand new story. Got the idea off of Stormwolf250, (Who I am very happy that he is back again) it was based on his old story Mechanical Avengers a few years ago but got deleted. And I've decided to make my own very based on Heroes United. This will have it's own Guardians Of The Galaxy as I have plans for it too. So I used a bit of the beginning of Heroes United: Unlimited and put it in here. But again, tell me if you all like it. And comment some suggestions you might want to see and it might happen. But before I forget, I want to say that there will be two more brand new stories with four more rewritten stories.
But you are all wondering where the hell have I been for the past month and a half, right? Well I know I give poor excuses sometimes, and that's ok for hating for me being gone a lot, I understand too as I'm trying to post a lot with the number of stories I came up with. But the truth is, I work at Walmart, and because of that, they are now cutting a lot of people's hours. Meaning I don't get paid enough to cover my rent, food, and other expenses. I thought they were cutting my hours for three weeks, and when it was almost over, I thought it would be normal. I was so wrong as they cut me for another month, and I was not too happy about it. They are now giving me house once every three weeks or so. So I've been trying to find other jobs to support myself for the past month and a half as I need money to survive. You would think if I was cut from work, I would have time to write as I please, but no I don't. I had to find jobs so I can pay for stuff I need to survive and that's tough. Another reason why I haven't written was that I finally bought my first car, and I'm truly happy about it as I don't have to get a ride from Uber or friends and waste money. I hope you all can understand why I took a break from writing as I'm slowly getting back into making more content. I have ten more stories to post. Not all of them are ready just yet. Going to post the rest of the stories for the next few days, either two or three stories at a time as it will also explain this thing again. Like I said, sorry for the long hiatus as some of you would understand. Also no Heroes United: Unlimited is not for sales or any of my stories if you guys ask about it. Also before I forget, I want to let you know that most of my stories especially Earth's Mightiest heroes, DDSK Of RWBY, and Heroes United: Unlimited are all getting an updated version of what I originally wrote a year ago. As I figure the dialogue and scenes can be now better. That's all I have left to say. See you all tomorrow, peace out!
