I shoved Jacob away. ¨What are you talking about? I don't even know you! Why should I help you?¨
Jacob took a step my way, but I backed off. He held his hands up. ¨But you do know me, you just don´t remember me.¨
¨That´s basically the same thing,¨ I spat out.
He sighed. ¨Aren´t you curious as to why I look like this?¨ He gestured at his bloodied eyes.
¨Not even a little bit,¨ I lied.
Jacob gave me a look that said I was a terrible liar. ¨Aro did this.¨

¨And he´s coming to Forks. I suppose you´ve read the news?¨
I nodded. ¨But why do you care? I mean, don´t you feed on humans as well?¨
¨Bella…¨ Jacob took my hand and walked me further down the forest. He grabbed a bird from its nest and drank its blook right before my eyes.

I giggled at the absurdity of his request. ¨Can´t the Cullens be of more help?¨
He looked at me as if he saw water burning. ¨They don´t trust me, Bella.¨
