TODOROKI

"Todoroki," says Iida. Oh shit….

"Hey," I replied. "I'm sorry. I know I was speeding." I know what I did wrong and then some. No need in me acting like I don't know why he pulled me over. I hand him my information which he waves for me to put away.

"I know you are good," replies Iida. "However, the number 11 hero speeding…." Iida sniffs the air. "Are you drunk?"

"I'm not drunk," I reply. "I did have a drink earlier this evening." Iida folds his arms.

"I'm sorry Todoroki but I can't have you driving," he replies. "You clearly had more than a drink if I can smell the alcohol from here. Is there anyone you can call? I would hate to take you in to the station." I hold in a groan. At least he is not trying to take me in or give me a ticket. I think of who I want to call. My list of trustees is short. I just left my brothers. I don't want to hear him nagging me when I could have stayed. I sigh, deciding to call Bakugou. He is a pain in the ass but I know he would keep my secret.

"Can I reach for my phone?" I ask. You can never be too careful. I would never move without asking the officer first.

"Yes," replies Iida. I grab my phone calling Bakugou. He answers after so many rings.

"Why the hell are you calling me after 3am?" he inquired sleep heavy in his voice.

"I need you to drive me home," I reply getting right to the point. "I don't want to get into the details right now." Bakugou scoffs.

"I'm not in the position where I can really help," he replies. I don't believe that for a second. He probably doesn't want to be bothered. I know Kirishima would help me out. I prefer to not put him in that position, but I don't have much of a choice.

"Fine," I reply. "I'll ask Kirishima."

"No!" he exclaims. "I'll come." What the hell? That was a quick change of heart. "Where the fuck are you?" I tell Bakugou where I am pulled over at. He said he was on his way. I end the call looking back at Iida.

"Thank you," Iida replies. "I'm letting you off with a warning this time."

"Thank you," I reply. "I appreciate it, truly."

"Todoroki, you know better than this," he replies. And here we go with the lecture. I was hoping to avoid it. "You know you shouldn't be driving until you are completely sober. Then add speeding on top of it."

"I am dealing with a lot," I admit. "I know it was wrong, but I do feel that I am sober."

"Feeling sober and being sober are two different things," he retorts. "I will stay here until your personnel arrives." I'm glad that he stopped talking because I already feel like an idiot. Bakugou arrives by taxi in 15 minutes.

"Iida, what you doing here?" he asks as the cab driver takes off.

"Todoroki called you?" says Iida. "That is a surprise." Bakugou glances at me.

"I'll get him home," he replies.

"Good," he replies. "You guys have a good night, be safe." Iida gets back into his patrol car making a u-turn probably going back to wherever he was hiding. I get out of my car.

"You didn't drive here?" I ask. Bakugou snorts.

"God no," he replies. "I knew I needed to drive your shit, you're welcome." I get on the passenger side as Bakugou gets behind the wheel. He pulls off towards my home. "You smell like a fucking bar."

"I didn't even drink that much," I reply defensively.

"Probably more reason why you smell like a fucking bar," he snorts. "It's not like you to do some stupid shit like this. What the hell is going on?"

"I can't say," I reply. "Secret mission."

"I don't need to know about the mission," he replies. "I know the mission is what bothered you. It's something else." Bakugou can be smart as hell when he wants to. This is one of those times.

"It is part of the reason I'm pissed off," I reply. "I haven't even spoken to Midoriya." Bakugou glances at me as he gets closer to my home.

"What do you mean you haven't spoken to him!" he exclaims. He looks worried.

"He's fine,'' I reply. "However, I haven't been able to talk to him."

"Why the fuck not!" he snaps. "You guys are dating. I know Deku and he is good with communication. Almost too much."

"Exactly," I sigh beginning to massage my temple. It's so hard for me not to say too much. "There is a lot you don't know. Just know I feel like someone is purposely keeping him from me and I don't like it."

"You're not making any sense," says Bakugou.

"Izuku had a boyfriend before me," I reply tired of dancing around. "His boyfriend now wants him back."

"What!" exclaims Bakugou. "He was dating someone. I didn't even know."

"No one knew," I reply. "He kept this relationship under wraps for personal reasons. Please don't tell him I told you this. His ex is dying and kind of using that as an excuse to have Izuku around him all the time."

"Oh, that guy sounds like a total asshole," sneers Bakugou pulling into my driveway. I chuckle wondering how he would feel knowing it is All Might.

"Thank you for getting me home," I reply. "Did you need me to call you a cab?"

"Naw, I'm good," he replies, getting out of the car. "Is this why you were drinking?"

"Yeah," I reply unlocking my door turning off my alarm. "It helped it relax my mind. I feel tense even now not being able to hear his voice." Bakugou phone is ringing which he answers quickly. I know to remain quiet.

"Hey," he says. "I'm about to finish up here…..what do you mean you're leaving." I put my keys on my sofa table glancing at Bakugou because I have never seen him look…..stressed. I head into my kitchen grabbing two bottled waters I know I will need. "You made a mistake!" Bakugou is shouting at this point as his hands are beginning to cause small explosions. "You came to me breaking down tonight. Not your fucking boyfriend." Whoa…..Bakugou face falls. "I love you and you just…whatever. Don't talk to me anymore. YOU FUCKING HEARD ME!" Bakugou ends the call. "Fuck!"

"Sounds like you need a drink too," I reply. Bakugou looks up as if he forgot where he was. The tears in his eyes let me know this is serious. He wipes his eyes.

"I'm good," he replies. "Like I hate this shit. I fucking hate being in love."

"It is rather stressful," I admit. I lean against my island in my kitchen. "It doesn't have to be though. Knowing that Izuku ex is trying to manipulate our situation is disgusting. At the same time, I don't blame him." I sigh. "It's fucking crazy. What's your story though?" Bakugou runs his hand through his hair.

"I fell for my friends with benefits," he explains. I wasn't expecting him to tell me. "They started dating someone but ended up seeing me tonight." Bakugou is the side man? I don't even know what to say to that. "Their relationship is new or whatever. I don't even get why the fuck he is dating him. He seems to love me more than that guy."

"Maybe he needs some time to realize that on his own," I suggest. "I never understood why people are with someone they don't have a strong connection to. Why do you think I have been single for so long."

"That is a good point," he replies. "As you can see I don't exactly jump out there either." I stare at Bakugou, finding it interesting that we do have something in common. "So you're bi like Deku huh. You know I knew you were bi this whole time."

"Really," I reply. "How so?"

"A gay man can see these things," snorts Bakugou. "It's pretty weird. I tend to ignore them most of the time. It can be different for each person. In your case I would see the way you looked at Deku when we were high school."

"Look at him how?" I ask. "I checked on him when need be."

"Oh please," replies Bakugou. "You stayed following him. I don't think you even realized it. It wasn't just that either. There were times when you would touch him or certain things you would say. You slowed down on watching him and touching him as much when you were with Momo though." I begin to blush because if Bakugou saw that did anyone else? I felt like how I was acting was normal. "It just felt different between you and Deku. I didn't see you like that with anyone else. Not even Momo."

"I believe that," I admit. "Things with Momo never felt…right."

"Yup," says Bakugou. "That is exactly what I said when trying to date Uraraka. It didn't feel right." Maybe Bakugou isn't so bad after all. "Look, I'm about to go home and get fucked up."

"You off today?" I ask.

"Hell yes," he replies. I walk Bakugou to my front door. "I'll see if I can get a hold of nerd for you."

"You don't have to do that," I reply.

"Not with the way you look," he replies. "If one of us can get a happy ending with our guy it should be you." His words hit me like a ton of bricks. "Later Icy Hot." He opens the door jogging out onto the sidewalk. He didn't even call his cab. I close the door knowing he will be fine. I look down at the water bottles. Yeah, let me get a head start so I don't end up with a hangover.
