The sun was just starting to set as we reached our spot in the cemetery, casting a beautiful orange and pink blanket over the sky above us; we could hear wildlife all around us scurrying back to their little homes before nightfall, and the birds were singing their last songs of the day. I lifted four white pillar candles from my bag, lighting them and placing them around us in a compass formation; Eddie and I stood within the candles facing each other, a little space between us, grins covering both of our faces as the light wind wafted through our hair. "You ready?" Eddie asked, and I nodded excitedly. He dragged in a deep breath and cleared his throat, then raised his hands out towards the crumbling gravestones around us, "We gather here this evening surrounded by our dear dead friends, many of whom we totally made up names and lives for, to swear ourselves to each other and begin a new chapter." The serious and showman style tone to his voice had me in stitches, I had to shake my head and clamp my mouth shut to stop myself giggling. Eddie turned to me, trying to keep serious and not smile as he reached for my hands "I'd say that I never thought I'd end up with the person of my dreams, but that'd be a lie, because I always knew I'd get you somehow. What I did not expect was to discover a whole new side of you, and myself, that I never knew existed. Getting to dominate and command you, have you completely at my mercy, has been exhilarating. You even showed me I could enjoy being bossed around and treated like a plaything." At this I did giggle, colour rising to my cheeks as we gazed at each other.

Eddie dropped my hands to lift two square velvet box out of his pocket, handing me the small one and keeping hold of the large one, continuing, "although I fucking love letting you take control, and I promise that won't stop, I'm so fucking stoked to declare you as my good little slut." Whilst he spoke, Eddie opened the box to reveal a matte black titanium collar, with a little ring from which hung his lucky guitar pic with the E carved into it. Seeing it made me gasp, my free hand going to my mouth, it was so beautiful. "Eds - that's gorgeous" I breathed, as he put the empty box back into his pocket. "This collar binds you to me; by accepting it you agree to obey and surrender to me completely." I nodded with a huge smile on my face, Eddie opened the collar to place around my neck, I shivered when the cold jewellery made contact with my skin, but my bones were on fire. "but y'know I mean that in the kinky way, not in the Billy way, right?" his nervous murmur made me laugh, and I reached out to touch his face softly, "I know doofus." He locked the collar and set the pic at the centre so that it sat at the base of my throat, "Nobody can remove this collar except for me, and you must ask permission to take it off." His dark eyes sparkling in the fading sunlight. My turn. Intrigued to see what Eddie had picked out, I opened the box towards me first.

My breath hitched when I saw the thick polished titanium ring with a shiny black line running around the middle, then I saw the engraved letters on the inside, spelling out 'Master' and my insides jittered. Placing the box into my pocket, the ring was surprisingly heavy, I held out my hand for Eddie to rest his on as I slid the ring onto the fourth finger of his right hand. "I promise to obey and surrender myself to you, my master. I promise no one will ever come close enough to remove this beautiful collar. I can't promise to always be a good little slut for you - because sometimes getting you riled up is way more fun - but I promise I'm all yours." I said proudly and confidently, my eyes never leaving his. Eddie rolled his eyes, then admired his ring and sighed happily, "I promise to let you switch the roles anytime you like - since being called Sire apparently turns you into a sex demon." Laughter tumbled out of me so hard I almost fell down, Eddie's strong hands held me up by the elbows, bringing me closer to him and holding me against his chest "I promise I'll always protect you, Rain. I love you more than I've ever loved anything before." His words made me melt into him, feeling his arms closing around me as we stood there within the burning candles, the sunlight now a distant memory. "I love you too, Eds." I breathed, lifting my head to meet his lips and accept his deep kiss.

Driving back to my house, Eddie clicked a tape into his stereo and Bowie's 'Let's Dance' started playing, "I totally forgot you stole this from me" I jeered, turning the volume up. Eddie shook his head, "Borrowed it!" I slapped his arm playfully and teased him, "Yeah yeah... This whole metalhead thing is a facade isn't it - you're really a Bowie fanboy aren't you." Eddie bit his lip, still shaking his head, "Damn Wheeler, you got me. Every night I take off this costume and get into my disco suit, then remove this hella realistic wig and douse my natural blonde quiff in hairspray." We chuckled together, driving through the streets of Hawkins listening to the track. "Don't revoke my metal card if I tell you that I actually do like Bowie's music now. I mean, I always liked the movies he did a few songs were catchy, but I gotta admit I'm fully a fan now." Eddie confessed, turning onto my street. We sat in the van on the kerb for a little while, I slid closer to him rested my head against his shoulder, locks of his long hair tickling my nose, "Knew it." Eddie shuffled down a little to lay his head on mine, "I always liked how you didn't conform to other people's expectations, with your taste in music I mean. Like one day you'd be walking round the hallways wearing a Maiden shirt and had the most gut wrenching riffs exploding from your headphones, then the next day you'd be humming Prince and wearing flares." I smirked and rubbed my hand against his thigh, "Never saw the point in restricting myself to one genre, y'know." The song ended and when I pressed rewind, Eddie laughed, "Why is this your favourite song?" Now I sighed and looked out of the passenger side window as I replied, "My mom was obsessed with it first, she'd blast it and just dance around the house by herself. I actually got pretty sick of it and hated it to be honest. Then after everything with Billy, when I was too scared to leave the house, and too depressed to move off the couch, she would play it and dance like an idiot to make me laugh, get me on my feet and tell me to dance it all out with her. Been my favourite since then." I felt Eddie's breath against my scalp as he kissed my hair, he was about to say something when my mom appeared at his window, scaring the shit out of us both. "Come on you guys, I made lasagne and I've got A Nightmare on Elm Street ready to play."
